A/N: Hi, I am back. I am always here actually, and I just don't have time to continue. I have made some minor adjustments in previous chapters. Sorry for being late, and happy 2020! How time flies.

Quinn narrowed her eyes, observing her potential competitor carefully. An evaluation form was forming in her head. Santana and Brittany watched the head cheerleader in awe as Quinn straightened up and matched towards the new girl.

"San, will there be a WWIII?" asked Brittany in serious face.

There are sparks in Santana's eyes. She instantly dragged Brittany to follow the blonde.

"Hey, San. Stop. We can't get close to Jennifer. Her power is too strong!"

"Exactly, babe. That's why we are following the blondie here. She has the shield, and under her shield, that bitch won't have influence on us," said Santana. "Besides, who could say no to a free show?"

When Santana and Brittany got closer, they realized that Puck was trying his best to hit on the new girl, while the girl was looking around with an annoyed look, clearly searching for someone else. When she spotted something, she instantly left Puck. "Yeah, sure. See you around, ugh, Punk."

"It's Puck, babe," said Puck, fixing his bicep.

"Whatever," said the new girl with an eye-rolling before walking towards one certain brunette who just appeared around the corner.

However, another blonde got the shorter brunette before her.

"Hi, babe," said Quinn, pulling the brunette into a searing kiss.

Rachel had the goofy smile on her face after the kiss. "What's that for, Quinn?"

"For being my girlfriend, and for looking so exquisite."

"You said that every day," said Rachel with a sheepish smile, holding the blonde in her arms.

"Because I am in awe of you every single day," whispered Quinn, biting her lower lip.

"Said by the most stunning girl that I have ever seen in my life," whispered Rachel before linking their heated lips together again.

Just as Santana was about to interrupt the PDA of the couple, someone poked the bubble before her.

"I would say that this snappy display wasn't exactly the welcome in my mind," said a cold voice behind them.

Now Santana was officially annoyed. She was the only one who had the right to do so.

The couple was startled by the sudden voice. Almost instinctively, the werewolf shielded the blonde behind her.

The new girl was undetectably faltered by the small move, but she regained her composure immediately.

Quinn faked a vivid surprising face as if saying "I have no idea that there is someone else", that Santana watched with a smirk and Brittany sincerely thought the world owed Q an Oscar.

"Hello, Jennifer," said Rachel in a stern voice.

"Hi, Rachel," said Jennifer, the new girl, grinning flirtatiously at the brunette and batting her eyelashes.

To Rachel's surprise, the blonde behind her stepped forward to confront the girl. Quinn smiled politely and extended her hand. "Hi, I am Quinn. Rachel's girlfriend."

Santana's smile turned wilder. This is going to be interesting.

Jennifer clearly heard Quinn and saw the blonde's hand, but she chose to fix her eyes on Rachel. "Rachel, I did see a defective replica of me here."

Quinn dropped her hand and rolled her eyes. However, before she opened her mouth, she felt the intensity of Rachel's muscle. The brunette howled and warned in a dangerously low voice, "First of all, I will kindly rip your throat open, Locke, if you kept black mouthing my girlfriend in such a rude manner. Second, Quinn is reputed for her remarkable grace and exquisite charm, and I am also falling for her adroit and amicable characteristics."

"Berry," said Jennifer, "cut your big words for the sake of the 21st century." She turned to Quinn for the first time. "Sorry, Quinn."

Santana's jaw dropped. Locke's motto: the Lockes never apologizes.

Jennifer suddenly teleported to the brunette's side and whispered something in her ears.

"Glad that you are still my old Rachel."

Rachel frowned, and Quinn growled. Before Rachel and Quinn could say anything, the taller blonde walked away with a smug grin.

"See you around, Rach," said Jennifer in a cheerfully sweet tone.

"I am so sorry, Quinn," said Rachel, taking her girlfriend's hands and kissing her knuckles. "I swear that I didn't know she was coming, and I have no idea how she found me."

"Hi, it's okay, Rach. It's none of your business, and she is none of my concern," said Quinn softly. "You are all I care about. Are you okay?"

Rachel shrugged. "Now I know I am so over her. I only love you, Quinn, and I am yours. Yours only."

"Ugh, I had enough. Let's go, Britt-Britt," said Santana, dragging Brittany along with her to leave the other couple alone.

"San?"

"Yes, babe."

"I don't get it."

"What?"

"Why Rachel is into that bitchy type of people? I just don't know what people see in those people. Life will be much easier if people all fall in love with people like marshmallows, like you, San."

Eyes widened, Santana covered the blonde's mouth with her hands. "Ugh, Brittany, I am not like marshmallows."

"No, San. You are the sweetest and softest person I have ever known." Brittany kissed Santana. "You are my marshmallows."

"Only for you, Britt." Santana relaxed and smiled softly at the girl she loved.

Quinn could tell that Rachel was nervous from the way she followed her everywhere for the rest of the day. She had to admit that if this was the case, she would actually love the blonde to stay around for a while. However, Jennifer hadn't approached them ever again after the unpleasant encounter in the morning. Now, they were driving back to Rachel's place under Rachel's persistence. As soon as they opened the door, an unwelcome voice started, "Welcome home."

Rachel hissed at Jennifer, "What do you want, Jennifer?"

Jennifer altered her eyes to her nails. "Do you like my nails? Can't believe that I can find a place to get my nails done at such a crappy, small town."

Rachel signed, closed her eyes briefly before facing the blonde on her couch again. Quinn and she had heavily made out a lot on that couch, but that was not what she should be thinking about.

"How romantic. Can't believe you haven't banged her on this couch yet," said Jennifer with a faked surprise. "I remember your fix for the couch." The blonde touched the couch

Quinn frowned but stepped towards Rachel, which clearly blocked Jennifer's power on the brunette.

Sorry, Quinn. Rachel said in her head.

It's okay, I knew her power to creep in people's mind and to influence people's subconscious, especially at nights. Quinn smiled at Rachel, giving all the will power she needed. Rachel smiled, feeling light and secure probably for the first time in her life.

Rachel linked her one hand with Quinn's, caressing the blonde's tresses with another. They lost in their own bubble again, clearly forgot the existence of the taller blonde.

"Okay, fine, Rachel. I need to talk to you," said Jennifer seriously. "In private."

Rachel frowned. If it was anybody else, they might just think Jennifer was being her usual, arrogant self, but Rachel knew her better. She was actually surprised to discern a hint of hurt. Rachel's facial expression soften. She looked at Quinn for her consent. Quinn nodded with a smile. Rachel took a deep breath.

"Hi, I will be there for you, okay. Relax, and don't kick her ass too hard," joked Quinn after placing a kiss on Rachel's forehead.

Rachel led the taller blonde to the study.

"Okay, Jennifer. What do you want?" Rachel asked, and, for the first time, she did not feel anxious when she was alone with Jennifer. She stared back at the taller blonde, trying to end this conversation quickly so she could get back to her girlfriend's side soon.

"I want you back, Rach." Locke didn't show emotion or weakness. Nickname calling was rarely in their former relationship, but they both knew Rachel had a soft spot for the nickname.

However, Rachel chuckled, feeling nothing emotional. "We both know very well that it is not going to happen."

"I was young and stupid," The blonde said in a low voice.

"How did you find here?" Rachel cut straight to the point as the only concern for her right now was the safety of Quinn and her pack. If Jennifer could trace her here, there might be possible for others to find her as well. She didn't have any enemies, but not all races are as welcoming others as her pack.

"I went to your hometown," Jennifer stated.

"Oh, you did? 'The creepily old and freezing cold town.' What a poet, Locke." Rachel vividly remembered her tone back then, and she thought Jennifer was just bitchy on the outside as a protecting color.

Jennifer narrowed her eyes. "I can't believe you master the art of satire. I am impressed, Berry."

"And you weren't there. So I started to find you, via dreams." She observed the brunette's expression carefully. Rachel was always easy to read and had a soft spot for her when they were together, so she kept capriciously pushing her limit until she walked out on her. Jennifer never truly appreciated how lucky she was to have Rachel until she could no longer call Rachel her own.

"I figured." Rachel nodded, disliking the fact that Jennifer used her dreams. Unlike Quinn, who was now in the living room and respected her girlfriend enough to not hearing her inner thoughts, despite the fact that Rachel had nothing to hide from her girlfriend.

"I went from cities to cities, towns to towns. It took time and effort." Jennifer's voice was so low that Rachel almost thought she was mishearing things.

"I am impressed too. For overcoming the natural weakness of lack of persistence," Rachel teased, glad to see the girl in front of her changed. Although she no longer felt things for Jennifer, she still saw the best in people. She believed that Jennifer was not a bad person in heart.

Jennifer rolled her eyes. "People changed, okay?" She knew she was late, and she hated to see that Rachel's mind constantly drifted to another person while she was standing right in front of her.

"Yeah, we both are, so we can never ever be back together." Rachel smiled softly, truly letting it go.

"Oh, come on. Don't Taylor Swift on me, and don't give me the lecture about not meant to be." Jennifer knew she was being unreasonable, but she hated to lose control of other people.

"You know, it's true from the beginning, Jen," said Rachel softly, no longer feeling insecure and angry that triggered by her old days and by others. She found her anchor, the smiling angel.

Jennifer stopped and gritted her teeth. She hated to admit other people were right.

"You were the player, but I just wanted to cuddle at home. I like to celebrate big days, but you just want to get physically and get it done. You can't tolerate my big words, and you find watching stars is the total waste of life. Werewolves came in packs, and you are used to playing solo. Relationship is not about manipulation, but all about respect and equality," said Rachel in a slow and calm voice.

Jennifer laughed. "I kinda missed when you talk in paragraphs."

Rachel rolled her eyes. She started to master the art of eye-rolling, learning from the best, aka her girlfriend and her best friend. She could give lectures to them later about how ill-mannered this behavior was.

"Still, can't believe you dumped me." Jennifer pouted.

"I apologize for that. I was young and insecure. Jen, you are a strong and independent girl. You are just like Santana, trying so hard to use venom to cover your caring side." Rachel smiled, recalling back the time when these two fought nonstop. Maybe she should listen to Santana from the start, she should stop jumping to whoever showed kind signal to her. Now she had finally grown up.

"Ugh, nope. Lopez? Never. She is a softie under the cover of a meanie. Not cool at all." Jennifer was never going to admit that.

Just as the brunette opened her mouth and was about to say something, the blonde shut her with a dirty look. "Don't you dare! If you ever dare to ask me whether Lopez and I are related, I will tell you in detail about Puck's dream about you and Fabray."

Rachel held up her hands high in the air in surrender, eyeing Jennifer curiously.

"Fine, I am sorry too, Rachel," Jennifer said quickly, never going to admit that she said that in the first place.

Rachel laughed, shaking her head. Maybe everything indeed changed, finally towards the promising direction. She used to be this insecure outlier until her power awakened and found her pack. She became powerful enough to protect others. Now she met the girl she loved, who had the power to protect her from the world. She was no longer alone. She was embracing her world. For the first time in her life, Rachel truly believed that all her power and destiny were a gift, and everything was worth it.

Rachel and Jennifer walked out of the study, and Rachel instantly met with her girlfriend's concerned eyes. She smiled to tell her that everything was fine. Quinn was surprised when Rachel came up to her in a second and dropped a sound kiss to her cheek.

"I missed you, baby," said Rachel out loud, making Quinn blushed. Quinn managed to keep a straight face in front of the other blonde but noticeably softened her body in Rachel's arms.

"Never pictured you as the PDA type. You must spend too much time with Brittana." Jennifer faked a gagging sound.

What's Brittana? Quinn asked in Rachel's mind.

Rachel beamed at her girlfriend. Brittany and Santana. Their ship name.

Do we also have one?

I think they call us Faberry.

Quinn raised her eyebrow in victory. Rachel instantly got what Quinn was thinking.

Wait for me to change your name officially. Rachel smiled at Quinn smugly.

Quinn laughed adoringly at Rachel.

"Ugh, I am out. You too are disguising." The smile on Jennifer's face betrayed her true thoughts, but she didn't give the couple time to comment that. "It is truly disrespectful to silently communicate in front of other people."

"Hi, you are going to find someone like her." Rachel smiled apologetically towards Jennifer, never delinking her hand with Quinn's.

"I play solo. Remember. Truly not interested in the whole getting-domestic-and-getting-fat lifestyle." Jennifer waved her hands and walked out of the house.

The couple in the house went back to exchange kisses and caresses. one chase kiss turned into two greedy ones, and three needy ones, and they stopped counting.

"And Rach?" Quinn was gasping in a husky voice.

"Yes, sweetie…" Rachel whispered against Quinn's ear.

"Burn the couch, will you?"

Rachel smirked. "Anything for you, your Majesty."

"Should we continue the play in a more comfortable setting?"

With that, the couple linked their hands and walked to the bedroom.
