Love Changes Everything-Part 20:
Lucius was stood at the front by the lake under the arch of white roses and daffodils that had been set up with fairy lights interwoven between them. He looked at his father, who was his best man, and it was clear that the nerves were starting to show.
"What if Druella loses her temper when she realizes Narcissa and I have already consummated the relationship?" Lucius whispered to his father.
"Your mother and I will not let anything happen to either of you. Who knows what that woman has done to her daughters behind the safety of the Black Manor wards," Abraxas said as he turned to see if there was any sign of the bride. He spotted Druella and could see the anger on her face and knew instantly that something had happened between the two mothers. His eyes looked around for Priscilla but he couldn't see her and realized that she must be with Narcissa still and clearly the one who was able to calm the young bride down.
"I'm nervous… what if he's not there…? What if he thinks that this won't work?" Narcissa said as the group reached the bottom of the staircase.
"That's just the nerves and doubts beginning to show," Priscilla said, "that's normal. I had the same feelings when I was going to marry Abraxas."
"Miss Black. This is a pleasure…" came a voice that sent Delphi squealing and running towards the speaker, Bellatrix bowing and Priscilla half shielding Narcissa.
"My Lord," Bellatrix said, "I wondered if you would come to see this," she said before Narcissa lifted her veil to see the Dark Lord stood there.
"My Lord," she spoke bowing her head, "it is an honor for you to witness mine and Lucius' wedding," she said, "does Lucius know you have arrived?"
"No. I am remaining hidden in shadow until most of the guests have gone. You may tell him if you wish that I am here but you are to tell no one except Lucius, Abraxas and Rodolphus. Delphi knows to keep quiet as well," Voldemort added as he watched his daughter looking up at him. He smiled and picked her up, holding her close and watching Narcissa, "once you have completed your Healer training you will serve me as the official Death Eater Healer. I will need someone I can trust Narcissa Black and that will be you. Your husband is high in my ranks as is his father and your sister. You will do this instead of taking the Mark."
"Yes My Lord," Narcissa said before seeing Delphi placed back on the floor and the Dark Lord slipping away as her father appeared.
"Everything OK here? Everyone is now here and ready whenever Narcissa is," Cygnus said and looked at his daughter before lifting the veil back over her head and looked, "are you ready?"
"Yes Father," Narcissa said and Priscilla slipped out to go and give the signal.
Narcissa pulled away from her father, needing a few more moments. The Dark Lord was there. Did her father know…? She had the suspicion that he did but now wasn't the time to say anything. She was about to be reunited with Lucius and that was what mattered to her.
She heard the music strike up and Delphi and Bellatrix headed out and then took the arm her father offered. She hoped the path was covered with a warming spell as it would be a little walk over to the Malfoy Manor Lake.
The two began their walk down the steps towards the gardens and Narcissa could just about make out Lucius in the distance and her heart gave a leap for joy as she sighted him finally once more. There came a moment where she felt the cold winter air but then the warmth hit her. It had been agreed that she would wear a woolen shawl after the ceremony hence the warming charms covering everywhere she was walking.
Lucius couldn't help it and he turned around to watch as Narcissa stood at the top of the aisle. A sharp intake of breath came as he saw her stood there and the dress was perfect for her slender figure. He just wanted them to be together at the front again and holding her delicate hands in his as they would finally be married.
He'd been so lost in his thoughts that he hadn't realized Narcissa was with him until her hand reached for his and he looked at her and lifted the veil back over her head and gasped softly as he finally laid eyes on her.
"My stunning rose," he whispered.
"Your rose who cannot breathe with this corset on," Narcissa whispered back as she felt him take both her hands and she broke into a smile that sent Lucius' knees shaking. How could she look even more beautiful than normal? He doubted that he would ever find out the answer.
Eyes locked onto each other as the officiate said the usual boring things that a wedding entailed and how the two were brought together after an event that never should have happened. The officiate then looked at Lucius and he began to say his vows.
"Narcissa Black… we may not have been the first choices of our parents but I'm glad that we are together now. I've always had a soft spot for you and I think my mother has always known that and that is why we are now where we are now," he said, "from the moment I met you as my betrothed I had a sense of relied I'd never felt before. You are the one I want to spend my life with. I just never knew it until I had it. You're smart, funny, beautiful, kind. You'd make the perfect Healer one day if you could be but you are also cunning, ambitious and most of all loyal. I know our life won't always be this simple but, together, we will make it through life. My world, my love, my CissaRose."
Narcissa's eyes swelled with tears that she had to hold back and she squeezed Lucius' hands before taking a breath.
"Lucius… You are right in that we weren't meant to be together. Yes certain things never should have happened but they did. If it was a choice between A and B I'd say B every time. I have found someone who I want to spend my life with. They say Purebloods marry to protect their status… we are doing that and because we love each other. Your parents know just how much. You're also smart, cunning, loyal but you are also extremely brave to stand up for what you believe in and I am so proud and honored that I will be your wife and the mother of your children. My world, my life, my love," she finished before she felt Lucius squeezing her hands and the tears were now threatening to spill from his eyes.
Druella wondered what her nearly son-in-law's parents knew that she didn't and was going to make it her mission to find out. She saw Priscilla look at her and wondered if Lucius and Narcissa had already consummated their relationship. Surely Narcissa would not have been that stupid… But, then again, it seemed that Priscilla knew her daughter better than she did lately.
Thoughts exited her mind as she heard the word rings mentioned and she watched as the wedding unfolded.
"With this ring I pledge loyalty to you and our future family, every up and down, every doubt and argument there will be," Lucius said as he slipped the ring on her finger, "my rose forever," he said, battling the urge to just kiss her.
"With this ring I pledge loyalty to you and our future family, every up and down, every doubt and argument there will be," Lucius said as he slipped the ring on her finger, "my peacock forever," she smirked, also battling the urge to just kiss him.
As soon as they were announced as husband and wife Lucius pulled Narcissa into his arms and kissed her with everything he had. He'd been unable to properly hold her in hours and now just wanted the contact with her.
Wedding guests soon pushed to the back of minds as lips battled to dominate a first kiss as husband and wife. Hands crept up bare back causing a gasp to escape the new wife's lips as she felt her husband's arms around her and she let a giggle slip out.
"Well I think my mother will guess some sordid secret now," Narcissa said before she and Lucius walked back up the aisle, his arms wrapped around her as they headed to the reception area and managed to slip away in some prearranged chaos from Priscilla and Abraxas. A stolen… and well needed… moment for the newlyweds awaited in the Secret Garden…
