Twins

It was still a shock for Tadashi and Hiro that their wives were expecting at the same time. Though, it did make it easier to plan things for the most part.

Currently, he was just glad he wasn't fully ejected from being Kathleen's doctor.

He had been there when she was expecting her first two and he was all too happy to help monitor the health of his sister in law once again.

As for Hiro, he had gone into a bit of an overdrive with making sure he had everything ready at home. From putting together the crib once again to planning out the nursery.

"Hm… I think I want a more celtic theme and forest things versus robotics and high tech…" Kathleen remarked one afternoon while looking at color ideas and inspiration online for the nursery.

Hiro hummed in thought. He had been hoping secretly he could finally get a galaxy painted on the room ceiling. With Makoto and Hisashi he had stuck to simpler things. But since this was their last child…

"Maybe a mix? Some techy things, but we'll make it blend. Like… maybe a forest at night with a galaxy ceiling?"

Kathleen leaned against him as he brought an arm around her, resting it on her baby bump.

"That would be cute… Maybe you can make a hologram mobile with faeries and selkies?"

"Can do, Kit Kat." Hiro smiled, resting his head against hers. "What about a name?"

"Hm… I really wanna go with Autumn. It'd be a cute name…"

"Alright… Autumn…" Hiro smiled sheepishly. "Since Tadashi already named Akemi after mom, could we go with Cass for her middle name?"

"Autumn Cass Hamada… I like that." Kathleen nuzzled him. "I really like that."

"Autumn Cass Hamada it is."

oooooo

"Hm… Maybe this one?" Honey Lemon held up a toy, comparing it to the image of the nursery on her phone.

Tadashi chuckled.

"Maybe we shouldn't try matching his toys to the paint."

"It's just gotta be super cute… and he's our boy." She brought her hand to her bump, warmth in her eyes.

"Hm…" Tadashi looked around the shop they were in before spotting something. "Aha!"

Honey Lemon watched him go, curious of what he was up to. Before long, he came back with a small green toy cat.

"Well, we got Stella and Akemi plush cats. Akemi's got purple, Stella had gold… so how about him, we get green?" He gave a small puppy eyed look.

Honey Lemon glanced to his cardigan that eerily matched the toy, before going back to his face, smiling.

"Sure thing, Tada." She winced a little as their unborn child kicked her pretty hard. "Ouch…"

"You okay?" He steadied her.

"M'fine. Just a really hard kick."

He frowned, rubbing her back a little. That had been happening more and more lately the past week or so.

"Any rolling? Pressure?"

"Some rolling."

"How about we get ya home then?"

Honey Lemon gave him a look before she winced, leaning on him a little.

"Y-Yeah, maybe that's a good idea…"

"Tatsuya, be good to your mom." Tadashi murmured, resting his hand on her stomach.

"Tatsuya?"

Tadashi grinned sheepishly.

"I thought it sounded really nice.."

Honey Lemon hummed in thought, smiling.

"Tatsuya Hamada… I love that."

"And… maybe Hiro as his middle name?"

She nodded, warmth in her eyes. It was only fitting that they named their youngest son for his uncle.

She kissed his cheek, nuzzling a little.

"I love that."

"Tatsuya Hiro Hamada…" Tadashi grinned. "Fitting."

"Very." She wrapped her arms around him, tucking her head under his. "Sorry ,little tired."

"Let's go rest then. Smoothie?"

"Oooo yes."

"Strawberry or pineapple?"

"Hm… Both?" She smirked.

"Both it is." He smiled. "Just a couple more months."

"Two more months. I can hardly wait."

Worth the wait. Maybe he'll be born after Kat and Hiro's baby girl. It'd be cute if their birthdays were next to each other.

oooooo

Two months later, Hiro was trying to help maneuver Kathleen out of his car as Baymax activated behind her, lifting her into his arms.

"Nn, this is the last one, promise?"

"Promise. You're gonna be just fine." Hiro smiled reassuringly, leading the way inside… catching a glimpse of someone familiar.

"Didja call Tadashi…?"

"... Crap, I am so sorry gonna do that right now. Baymax, can you get her admitted?"

"Yes, Hiro, I have also contacted Tadashi… but he is right over there."

The couple's heads turned to where Baymax was gesturing to… as Kathleen slowly turned a glare to Hiro.

Tadashi was there alright… helping Honey Lemon into a wheelchair.

"Hey, you're doing great, you're gonna be fine."

"Tada, I swear-" She looked over his shoulder before a glare settled on her face as well. "You have to be kidding me."

"What-" He looked over, as his pager went off. He checked it, noting it was from Baymax before looking up again as it hit him who was across the lobby. "... What happened?"

"Baby's coming, what about you?"

"Baby is… also…" Tadashi bit his lip. "Coming."

Tadashi and Hiro both flinched with the sheer look of hatred their wives gave them.

"H-How about we settle this later huh?" Tadashi offered. "I'll get Honey settled, then Kathleen, I can-"

"QUIET!"

"Yes, Dear."

Kathleen looked to Hiro with an annoyed look.

"Couch, for two days."

"Yes dear. Even when you're in here?"

"That's when you better be on the couch."

"Y-Yes, Dear."

oooooo

After that, it took a bit for everyone to be settled. The boys were just glad their wives initial annoyance was more so brought on by pain than anything they did in actuality.

In the end, after a very long night, both deliveries went smoothly.

Honey Lemon sighed happily, rocking Tatsuya in her arms. The little boy was fast asleep, his fluffy dark hair going in every direction. She couldn't get over how tiny he was.

That this little stranger was hers.

"My baby boy…" She glanced up across the room.

Tadashi was doing one last check on Kathleen and Hiro's daughter.

They wound up sharing a recovery room but neither minded. They were both so happy their children were healthy.

Hiro and Kathleen were overjoyed, gazing at little Autumn, any fire Kathleen had in her directed at her husband was gone now.

"She's perfect…"

Her full head of dark hair, her tiny little hands…

"She's just like you." He kissed her head.

"Hiro…"

Tadashi smiled before going over to Honey Lemon, excited to finally get a look at his son. He smiled softly.

"Am I forgiven?"

She hummed in mock thought before looking back down at Tatsuya.

"Only because we make cute babies."

He chuckled, sitting on the edge of her bed, getting a good look at him.

He could hardly believe how perfect he was. Tadashi reached a hand over, brushing his son's cheek gently with a fingertip.

Tatsuya cooed quietly, yawning a little, his brown eyes opening slowly.

"Wah…?"

Eyes exactly like his father's as Tadashi gasped a little.

"He's perfect, isn't he?"

"Honey he's… Oh my gosh yes…" Tadashi smiled softly, warmth going through him as he gazed at his youngest child. "And he's ours."

"We have a son… Our son." She giggled.

Tatsuya looked around before his eyes landed on his father, reaching a tiny hand up.

"Wah…?"

Tadashi grinned, offering a finger, for him to old.

"Hi kiddo… I'm your dad."

"Wah!" Tatsuya giggled, grasping his finger tightly with both hands before letting out a small yawn.

"Aww… He's tired huh?"

"Long day for him… Long one for me too." Honey Lemon smiled softly, nuzzling Tadashi. "You did good too."

"Akio…"

"I mean it." She offered their son to him. "Wanna hold him?"

Tadashi was gentle with taking Tatsuya into his arms, cradling him close. He was always in awe during these moments. Just blown away that this tiny little person was part of his life now.

Tatsuya curled up against him, head resting over his chest, falling asleep as he listened to Tadashi's heart.

The man was quiet, rocking him gently, eyes shiny as he looked up at Akio, a warm grin on his face.

"He's so tiny." He whispered. "Autumn's tiny too but he's just… so tiny. I think he's even smaller than Stella was."

"I think so, mi corazon…" She leaned back in bed, content to just watch Tadashi's reaction.

This, was honestly one of her favorite parts.

Tadashi was quiet, that smile never leaving his face as he gazed down at their son.

"He's perfect… Really fluffy but perfect." He chuckled, rocking him gently. "Tatsuya, I can't wait to get you home. Your sisters are gonna love on ya like crazy. And I'll teach you all kinds of things."

"Including the mighty Ninjas?" Honey Lemon teased quietly.

Tadashi playfully stuck his tongue out at her.

"Especially. Charlie corrupted Makoto, he can't get Tatsuya too." He chuckled, his gaze softening. "I have a son…" He choked up a little.

If anything in the world, made him aware of how grateful he was for his life being spared that night, all those years ago, it was each time he met one of his children. From Akemi, to Stella and now, with Tatsuya.

Me being alive, let them be born into this world… My children. Our children.

A few tears slid down his face.

Honey Lemon reached over, wiping them away.

"Sorry."

"No. I get it." She tilted his chin up. "I love you."

"Love you too… and I love him and the girls and… Good gosh, I'm just blown away." He chuckled, holding Tatsuya a little tighter, not wanting to let him go just yet. "We have a baby boy…"

"Our perfect baby boy." She smiled.

Tadashi glanced down again to his son before looking across the room to his brother and sister in law. Seeing how happy and relaxed they were.

How utterly in love they were with their child.

Tadashi smiled softly.

He was also there to witness that.

He looked back to Tatsuya, kissing his head.

"Thank you, for being born son… I love you."

I love you no matter what.
