Chapter 18: Attack
Outside the Hideout, two cloaked individuals were seen. They were Sasuke and Kisame.
Kisame walked up the steps and kicked open the door.
'Anyone home?' He chuckled as he grabbed Samehada and swung it around, breaking all the furniture around.
Sasuke looked around carefully before drawing his chokutō. Suddenly, he back-flipped as a glowing, crimson sword came from above and stabbed the ground, cracking the wooden planks in the process.
Next, explosive shots came into the fray as they blew up the ground where Kisame was standing. Kisame jumped up into the air as a red blur approached him.
He tried slicing the blur into half but the blur suddenly split into three and reconnected behind him. The blur revealed herself to be Ruby as she began shooting at Kisame's back.
Kisame forcibly twisted his body to avoid the shots. Meanwhile, Sasuke and Nepgear got into a swordfight.
'Where's Subaru?' Sasuke asked as he drove his weapon into Nepgear stomach only for her to kick off to the side using her right leg.
'Hmph!' She rushed towards Sasuke and aimed for his head. Sasuke disappeared before Gehaburn cut him down and reappeared at the entrance.
A few minutes earlier
'Shit!' Okabe cursed.
'What's wrong?' Subaru asked, concerned as to why Okabe suddenly shouted.
'Ah...he must be being delusional again. Listen to me, Subaru Impreza, he is almost always usually like this.' Neptune said as she loafed around on the table in between two sofas.
'Intruders!' Okabe yelled before Subaru had a chance to talk about how much Neptune butchered his name.
'What!' Rem screamed as she stood up beside Subaru.
'How many?' Blanc asked in a stern tone. Okabe raised two fingers.
'We need to get out of here!' Yang quickly said. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement except for Nepgear.
'You guys go. I'll distract them.' Ruby looked at her dumbfounded.
'We need someone to prevent them from tracking us down. It's obvious that they followed us here since before our arrival, the place was safe.' Nepgear reasoned as she opened the door and materialised Gehaburn.
'I'll help!' Ruby said. Yang shrugged.
'If Ruby stays, then I'm too.'
'What about me?' Subaru asked. Okabe shook his head.
'We need as little people as possible to stay because if there's too many, them escaping will be made harder.' Subaru nodded.
'Well, I have no problem leaving right now!' Kazuma stood up, patted his pants, and began to walk off with his party chasing after him.
'I wanna help.' Weiss commented before looking Okabe in the eyes.
'...Ah dammit. Four. That's the most that I'll allow.' Everyone nodded as they prepared. Okabe walked over to the girls and gave them each a receiver.
'Use this to contact us.' The girls nodded.
A minute later, everyone escaped through the backdoor while the four girls got ready.
'We should try an ambush.' Yang suggested.
'We could hide on the lights.' Weiss added. Nepgear nodded.
The four of them then made their way up with Yang carrying Nepgear as she didn't want to waste her Hard Drive Divinity form on merely flying.
They camped for about a minute before the two intruders entered. They then initiated their attacks.
'Tch!' Sasuke clicked his tongue as he created two clones. Clone 1 tried kicking Nepgear only for her to knock him away with Gehaburn.
Meanwhile, Kisame was giving Ruby and Yang a thrashing. No matter how fast Ruby went, Kisame was capable of following and even surpass her.
For Yang, Kisame was able to hit harder than her. Though, despite all of this, Yang continued smirking.
'Hmm?' Kisame noticed her smirk. Suddenly, a burst of energy surrounded Yang.
'Ha!' She dashed towards Kisame and punched him. Like before, Kisame tried blocking it with Samehada. However, this time, the power behind the punch was strong enough to throw Kisame into the wall.
'Take that!' As Kisame stood up, a red blur approached him. He slammed down with Samehada. However, it turned out that Ruby wasn't even aiming for him.
Instead, Weiss jumped out of the blur before stabbing Myrtenaster into the floor. Ice began surrounding and encasing Kisame.
Just as this happened, Sasuke went flying past them. Nepgear walked up.
'Is that all you got?!' She taunted. Sasuke stood up annoyed. He activated his Sharingan.
'Genjutsu: Sharingan.' The image before Nepgear suddenly changed. She began looking around.
Suddenly, blades from all over began appearing. Nepgear started redirecting them using Gehaburn. However, the sheer number of blades resulted in her getting stabbed all over.
Over in the real world, Nepgear suddenly fell limp.
'Nepgear?!' Weiss asked in worry. Sasuke smirked. Suddenly, Ruby and Yang fell unconscious as well. Weiss backed up.
'Hmph.' The ice around Kisame also began cracking. Soon, he got out of the encasement.
'Well, little girl. What other tricks do you have up your sleeves huh?' Weiss began sweating profusely. She knew that there was no way she could beat them both alone.
But still, she had to make a last-ditch effort. She stabbed Myrtenaster into the ground.
'Come! Arma Gigas!' A huge light blue glyph appeared on in front of her. A gray, smooth-plated armoured Knight walked out. It was huge and carried with it a giant sword.
Sasuke's eyes widened at it.
'Genjutsu: Sharingan.' However, this time, it had no effect. Sasuke clicked his tongue.
'It's not a living thing huh.' He muttered. Arma Gigas approached the two of them. Kisame walked out to the front and weaved hand signs.
'Water Release: Water Shark Bomb Jutsu.' He thrusted his hand out. A water shark formed and easily pierced through Arma Gigas.
Weiss shuddered at the sigh. Kisame appeared beside her and before she could do anything, Kisame knocked her out. Kisame then stretched his body.
'That was a good warm-up.'
Sasuke ignored him and took out a receiver and reported everything. After a few moments, he kept the receiver.
'Pain said to bring them to the base.' Kisame nodded before carrying Weiss and Yang while Sasuke carried Ruby and Nepgear. They then disappeared.
A certain city in the sky
A fair-skinned young woman with wavy waist-length black hair, amber eyes and black cat ears was walking in the bustling streets.
She wore a black zipped up trenchcoat, a pair of black spiked boots, black gloves and carried Gambol Shroud on her back. She was Blake Belladonna.
She was currently trying to locate a shop that could fix her busted Scroll. She had woken up on a kind-hearted person's bed after she said that she found Blake unconscious on the roof of her house.
As she was walking, she was suddenly blocked by a boy in his twenties. He had fancy gold hair and wore weird colourful beads around his hands. He was wearing shades, a white tee with a logo of a yellow question mark on the front, black jeans, and black slippers.
'Hello~! I sense something incoming in yo-' Blake waved her hand.
'Sorry, but I'm not interested.' As she walked past him, she felt her coat being tugged on. When she turned her head, the boy was kneeling down on the floor.
'Sob...please...I haven't had any business in a whole month! IN A WHOLE MONTH! I'm gonna go bankrupt soon!' He was sniffling and yelling out about his plight.
Soon, passer-bys began standing around and staring. Blake blushed and bent down, stretching out a lending hand.
'Fine. Just...stop it. People are watching.' Blake reluctantly agreed.
'Yes!' The boy punched the air in happiness. He stood up and led her into his shop which was called: 'Super Credible and Trusted Fortune-teller'.
'(Doesn't that just make you seem not credible and trusted?)' Blake thought to herself.
In the store, there was a wide array of beads, talisman, wooden stakes, and really anything supernatural.
'(Totally not a scammer.)' Blake deadpanned. The boy sat down on a purple cushion.
'My name's Rain Tan.' He pointed to himself. Then, he brought out a whiteboard and marker and wrote down his name. He then showed it to Blake.
'That's how you spell it. R-A-I-N and-'
'I got it.' Blake said, annoyed at his incredibly long and unnecessary introduction.
'This is probably why you get no business.' Blake commented.
'Impossible! Customers love it!' Rain roared out.
'Did they tell you that?' Blake asked with a raised eyebrow.
Rain scratched his neck sheepishly.
'Well...no...but from their facial cues...I CAN TELL!' Blake facepalmed at Rain's idiocy.
'Well. Why am I here?' Blake asked.
'Oh!' Rain raised his hand. He then began posing.
'I am the ultimate...no! Penultimate, out of this world, out of this galaxy, out of this universe, best fortune-teller!' Blake sighed. She didn't get why he had to exaggerate so much.
'Now! Show me your palm!' He ordered.
'I don't have any money.' Blake said.
'It's fine! Now! Show me your palm!' Rain repeated. Blake reluctantly did so.
'Hmm…' He stared at her hand. He then traced a certain palm line.
'You see...this line tells you that when you are 17, you will meet a handsome, superior, best in the entire world boy-'
'I'm 19…' Blake said exasperated. Rain began sweating profusely.
'Uh...wait...rewind…' He began moving his left finger in an anti-clockwise direction. After doing so for a few seconds, he spoke.
'You see...this line tells you that when you are 19, you will meet a handsome, superior, best in the entire world boyfriend who will marry you in a month!' Blake shook her head.
'(Is he actually an idiot?)' However, she decided to play along as it was actually quite funny.
'I don't have a boyfriend though…' She cupped her chin and said innocently.
'Ha! You have one! And he's standing right in front of you!' Blake deadpanned.
'I'm leaving.' She walked off. Rain began thinking of ways to get her to stay.
'It's love at first sight! C'mon! Don't go! Uh...umm...oh! YOU DON'T HAVE A PLACE TO STAY, DO YOU FOREIGNER!' Rain shouted loudly. Blake stopped and looked back.
'You got that right...but can you not phrase it that weirdly? And how did you guess?' Blake asked.
'Well...you see...you said you didn't have any money. So I guessed that you were not from here?' Rain said. Blake nodded. A huge shit-eating grin appeared on his face.
'Well! I can give you place to sleep in! And buy stuff for you!' Blake thought about it. She did require a place to live.
'Why are you doing all this?' She asked.
'Well...I'm already like 23...and I haven't even dated once...so...I'M DESPERATE!' Rain shouted.
'We can start off as tomodachi first yeah?' Blake got confused. Rain noticed it and corrected himself.
'Friends I mean.'
'Oh…' Blake wasn't sure it would be a good idea to live with him. However, at least Rain seemed to be an idiot that didn't know how to lie. And his intentions are clear as day. He just wanted to get laid basically. Blake agreed to Rain's offer as she made a mental note to be careful at night.
'Yes!' Rain jumped in joy. As he jumped, his golden hair and shades fell off. Blake's eyes widened. Rain actually had pure black hair and hazel eyes.
She had thought that Rain was bald when his hair fell off.
'Ah...damn! My disguise fell off!'
'Disguise?' Blake asked.
'Oh...it's for when my customers wanna kill me for scamming them-' Rain immediately slapped his face to keep himself quiet.
'What a 'Penultimate Fortune-teller' you are.' Blake said mockingly.
AN: Blake is finally here!
