Rajon stood in the field waiting for the fighting lesson to start. He was feeling better than yesterday but not 100%. As long as he didn't get as sick as he did after he was dumped into Angel Grove Lake, he'd be happy.

"Hey Rick, right?" a voice asked from beside him. He turned to see one of the kids he had met on his first day of freedom standing next to him. He thought his name was Steve or something. "It's Shawn," the teen went on seeing the confused look on Rajon's face. "We met the day Angel Grove was destroyed."

"Oh right." He then saw the other two he met. "I thought you guys were martial arts experts. Why are you here?"

"We were told we had to attend this if we wanted to help fight," Rachel said. "They want to make sure they see everyone first."

"Seems like most of Angel Grove is here," Rajon said looking around. "Well everyone under like 50."

"Yeah," Toby said. "They probably want to fight back as much as we do. I mean our aunt was killed in the initial attack. That big gorilla fired on the building and my dad said he saw Rito."

"What?" He couldn't help but ask. He had been in Billy's lab with Billy, Adam, Tommy, and Jason.

Rachel snorted. "Dad wasn't even in town when the attack happened. He said he saw it on the news."

"Probably an old report or something." Rajon muttered. He then said quickly "hey I think they are about to start."

He shifted away from them feeling like an outsider. He saw a few of the guardsmen plus Aisha, Rocky, and Adam morphed standing at the front. They started the lesson. He was surprised that he wasn't completely lost. He had never been a strong fighter and he still wasn't but he could pick up the basic stuff.

When they partnered up to try some of the things, they learned he found himself partnered with a guy in his early 20s. The guy was much better fighter than him.

When the lesson was over Rajon said to him "hey you're a pretty good fighter."

"I've been doing this forever Rito."

"What did you say?" Rajon asked his voice shaking.

"I said I've been doing this forever when I lived in Reno." The guy said. "I did Jiujitsu. I was training for cage fighting when I got transferred here by my job." He sighed. "Don't know when I'll get back to it. You okay kid?"

"Yeah, I just don't feel well. I probably shouldn't have done this. I'm going to go lay down." He said and walked away. What was wrong with him? He wondered. Why did he keep hearing Rito?

Vile stood on the moon watching the activity in Angel Grove. He was starting to formulate an idea of how to really increase his troops. He would use Angel Grove's own people. Not the unfit ones who looked like they were going to keel over. No, he'd use people like the three teens and the cage fighter who had been talking to Rajon. It would be tempting to use the army and maybe he would, but he'd pluck the others first.

He heard someone teleport behind him and he turned around to see Darkonda standing there holding an object. There were about ten Quantrons standing with him. That would do for a start along with the ten or so useable Earthlings.

"Is that for removing the connection?" Vile asked trying not to show his eagerness. He couldn't stand Darkonda and knew the being would find any excuse to use something he needed against him.

"Yes," Darkonda said handing it over to him. "I don't know why you want it anyway. You keep him sleeping problem solved."

Vile fought rolling all of his eyes. Did no one get it? His blithering son he could understand not getting it. Darkonda was supposed to be smarter. "His connection to the grid could be a huge weapon for them and I'm sure Zordon is trying to find a way to rescue his former Ranger. The sooner he's eliminated the better."

He walked to the cell where he was keeping the former White Ranger. He would have teleported but he wanted Darkonda to come with him.

He entered the cell and approached the sleeping teenager. He set the object down on a ledge and moved back so Darkonda could turn it on.

"We will attack tomorrow," Vile said. "I want you to watch Earth and get an idea of what you will be facing first. I also want to use some of their own against them." Vile stopped in the middle of his planning with Darkonda when he saw the walls start to shake.

"So you can hear me after all Thomas?" Vile asked. "You're not supposed to wake up yet." He fired another blast at the teen. "You didn't tell me the object would wake him from his sleep."

Darkonda smirked at him. "You didn't ask. Besides I thought he was out of the morphing grid." Darkonda said not liking this. He didn't understand why Vile didn't just kill the former Ranger.

"Looks like he's telekinetic. The morphing grid probably unlocked it."

"Great. You know I can just ram a sword through him and end it all now."

"No. I have something much better planned for his demise. It involves one of the people he trusts the most. It'll be the ultimate betrayal."
