Emma headed towards the truck which John Boy had just jumped in. "Where's Erin?" Ben muttered, keeping an eye on the door. "She's only fifteen, G. W shouldn't be with her alone."

"I'm sure she's fine Ben." Jason said, but he was also keeping a watchful eye out for her.

Ben started when he saw David, who Mary Ellen had dated last year until she had found out that he was going with other girls. "That lying sneak." He started to get out of the truck when Mary Ellen grabbed his arm.

"We don't need any black eyes." She said coldly. Emma watched Ben's face go red with anger, but he sat back down reluctantly.

Emma walked down to Drucilla's Pond. Ben had asked her if she wanted to take a walk, and she had accepted. She wondered what he wanted to talk about. Her feelings were very confusing. Yes, he was kinda like a brother, but there had always been a bit of a crush thing there. The thing was, what would people say? If they started to 'court'. Oh they would gossip, they would gossip all right.

Ben dashed down beside her. "Heya!" He shoved her. "Race ya like old times." Emma sighed and rolled her eyes, but obliged. They chased each other around the pond, laughing and teasing each other. But all the fun stopped when Ben lifted her and threw her in the pond.

"Benjamin Walton!" Emma spluttered and glared at him. She dragged a hand through her dripping wet hair.

Ben put a hand over his mouth to keep from exploding with laughter. "What is it, m'lady?" He fake bowed.

"Oh, you." Emma marched over and pulled him in. He laughed and spat out water.

"Hah. Hah Hah." Ben clutched his stomach as he poked her playfully.

"You got me all wet. My new dress and all." Emma fumed, circling him. Ben smiled and edged closed. Emma's breath hitched and all she could do was stare him in the eyes. Praying to God that she wouldn't mind, Ben swooped in and pecked her lips. He kept his there for a second, then pulled back, blushing red.

Emma stared at him in utter disbelief. "B-ben, that felt kinda nice." Her first kiss had been just like she had imagined it. Sweet and to the point.

Ben blushed harder. "Yeah, you're right." He chuckled awkwardly before waving, sending a wink her way as he left the water.
