Hey there! I posted 2 chapters so make sure to read the previous before this one.
Shuichi swung his right fist sending it towards Shiho. In a fast move, she managed to block it by her forearm. A hint of a smile appeared on the side of the agent's lips reflecting how proud he was of her, but that didn't stop him from sending her another punch with his left arm, only seconds after the first, if she ever gets to fight Gin, he won't show her mercy, and so had Dai when he trained her.
Dai and Shiho continued meeting every night, it's already been 10 days since they started. They had to reschedule their training sessions at night because they both have work in the morning.
Each night at 10 pm, right after she finishes her work at the lab, Shiho heads to Dai's apartment building and takes the stairs to the roof top where she finds him waiting to teach her. It became her favorite part of the day, she patiently waits for the night to come just for that hour to spend training with Dai san.
Unfortunately, Shiho failed to block the second attack, she knew that his left arm was impossible to block, Dai was left handed and had incredible strength and unbelievable speed in that arm. The fist landed on her right side and it caused her to groan, but Shiho didn't give up, she immediately restored her balance and sent a strong fist to Dai's jaw, but before it could reach it, he held her fist while still in the air and he turned her around, locking her arm behind her back.
"Not bad, Miyano" he said, close to her ear.
Just when he freed her arm thinking the round was over, Shiho suddenly turned around, she placed both of her arms on his shoulders and tried pushing him back with all of her strength, but his legs stood stubbornly, holding him upright,
"I like the element of surprise you add" he said. Shuichi copied Shiho's position, placing his hands on both of her shoulders, he forced her slowly to fall to the ground by turning her to the right "See! that's how it's done"
Shiho, who found herself sitting on the floor didn't give up still. When Dai brought her down, he bent down to not let her fall violently to the floor. Shiho took the chance of him bending, she grabbed him by his shoulders again and laid on her back, pulling him down along with her, it was easier pulling him than pushing him as he came down, but before she could push him to the floor on her side, Dai placed his hands on the ground, one to her left and one to her right gaining stability, Shuichi was kneeling on all fours now, on top of Shiho, right between her spreading legs, and once again, he was steady as a mountain and impossible to move.
Nevertheless, the redhead took her chances. Shuichi was hovering over her, only the length of his long arms keeping their faces apart, Shiho wrapped her legs around him and used her hands to bend his elbows, causing him to lose stability, for the fraction of second that he did, she rolled him to the side and landed on top of him with a victory smile "You mean THAT, is how it's done!"
"It would be if I didn't help you do it"
"You're just saying that because you lost" she snorted.
"Really!" he said, before rolling her on the ground and laying on top of her again, Shuichi was balancing his body by his knees and arms that were on the floor, and again, the length of his arms was the only distance between his and Shiho's faces "Then try moving me now"
Shiho tried breaking his balance but she failed.
"That's it for today" Shuichi said, announcing the end of the session.
He was still on his position kneeling on all fours with Shiho underneath him. Both of their chests gently rose and sank with each shallow breath they drew in. Dai was trapped between Shiho's legs that were creating two mountains to his right and left, he was waiting for her to bring them down so that he could move away but she didn't. Her eyes looked mesmerizing as they stared at him.
"Why are you doing this, Dai san?" she asked abruptly.
"Doing what?"
"Helping me"
"You need help, I'm trying to do what I could"
"Why are you investing all of this time and effort to help me, I mean, I'm only you're girlfriend's sister, don't you think it's strange?" Shiho asked while still panting. This question had always been on her mind. Throughout her life, nobody was nice enough to lend her a hand but Dai was the exception. And what better occasion to ask him this than now, when she had him trapped.
"You're not just my girlfriend's sister. I thought we're friends"
Shiho took a second to let his words sink in before lowering her legs to the floor's level, allowing him to move to the side, which he did immediately. Shuichi rolled to the right and laid on the floor next to her. They both stayed like that, looking up at the sky above them and catching their breaths.
"They're beautiful" Shuichi noted. It was funny that ever since he got into the organization, he never took a moment to look up at the sky and enjoy the stars, he had to be careful, keeping his eyes on his surroundings all the time.
Shiho was looking at the stars too, but not to enjoy their beauty, she was more absorbed in thinking. She turned on her side and faced Dai with a smile. Shuichi noticed her turn with her curving lips through his peripheral vision, he turned his face towards her "What?"
"Dai san, tell me something about yourself"
"You're talkative today" he noted, turning to face the stars again "..and why do you wanna know something about me all of a sudden?"
"I just realized that, despite knowing you for so long, I practically don't know nothing about you"
"That's not true…..You do know my favorite drink"
Shiho stared at him as he spoke "You knew my biggest secret and I had to tell it to Akemi because of that, that's not a fair comparison"
"I thought you felt better after telling her"
"Yeah, I did. Now let's not get off track, tell me something about yourself"
"There's nothing to tell Shiho, My life is not that interesting" he said, still staring at the sky.
"I'm sure there's something"
Shuichi placed a hand behind his head to support it and sighed "What do you wanna know?"
"Why did you get in the organization?"
Shuichi thought for a moment. Shiho kept her eyes focused on him, tracing his face bit by bit, waiting for the answer.
"It was for the money, I was looking for a job and failed to find one that suited me, by the time I joined in I was running so low I wouldn't have been able to pay the next month's rent"
"What about your family? Didn't you have a family to help?"
He turned to face her "you asked to know one thing and you got it"
"No, Dai san, please! It's the last question" Shiho squeaked. She really wanted to know about his family for she lived without a family and always longed to hear people speak about theirs, to hear their stories of what it's like to have one.
Again, Shuichi stayed silent in thought, he turned his face towards the sky again.
"I did, but they were busy with their own problems"
"What are they like?"
This time Shuichi didn't protest, in fact, he answered readily, as if he wanted her to ask and he wanted to speak about them.
"I have two siblings, a younger brother, he's really intelligent, I think he might be the smartest in the family" Shuichi started. Shiho who was laying on her side, watching him, noticed the weak smile that tickled his lips when he mentioned his family members, it warmed her heart from a part and saddened her from another. She heard him commenting on his brother and it made her wonder what kind of family would have a member as smart as Dai and another one that's smarter, she figured maybe they're both as smart, but Dai was just being humble "and a younger sister, she 's sharp too but she has a long way to learn ahead of her. And my mom, she's a very strong woman" he turned to face her suddenly "She's kind of like you in a way"
"If I resemble her strength, then I'm flattered"
At that moment, Shuichi turned on his side to face Shiho who was already lying on her side facing him. "Your turn now"
"I didn't know we were taking turns"
"We are!"
"And what do you want to know?"
"Have you ever met the Boss?" Shuichi asked, it was a bold question from his part but he felt like Shiho was unusually open for talking today, so he needed to make the most out of it in order to help his infiltration.
Shiho was a little annoyed, he was supposed to ask something about her, but his mind was on different people entirely. It appears he's not as curious about her life as she is about his.
"No! Almost none of the other members too. He likes performing from behind the curtains"
Shuichi stayed silent for a while, Shiho kept staring into his eyes, his proximity was confusing her brain.
"And What about Akemi? She's been acting strange lately"
"I already answered your question" Shiho said, turning on her back again and facing the starry sky.
"But you got two questions, that's not fair"
She sighed. Shiho felt disappointed. He got the chance to ask her two questions, any two questions, and all he cared about was the boss and Akemi! All he cared about was other people but not her.
"I don't know"
"I answered you honestly" Shuichi said.
"I really don't know, Dai san. I noticed it my self but I don't know the reason behind it"
"Okay" Shuichi propped himself to a sitting position "...It's getting too late, we both have work in the morning so let's go"
Shiho followed him, sitting up. Shuichi who was already standing by the time landed her a hand and helped her to stand.
"You're not bad Shiho, you're doing very well actually. But technique isn't enough on its own if you have a weak physique. You should start working out"
"I don't have time for that"
"The training facility is right next to the lab, you can hit the gym at any hour of the day so don't make excuses"
"I'll think about it" she said, preceding him through the roof door. Shuichi joined her inside the building, he turned to close the roof door then walked down the stairs.

As days proceded, Dai And Shiho changed their training location to another place, on the first days, they had the freedom to train on the roof of Dai's apartment building but that was because Gin was out of town. Since he got back to Japan, the twosome changed their location.
It's been a week since Gin came back to Japan. He still hadn't visited Shiho yet and she was thankful for it.
On a Friday evening, the Silver haired man appeared on her steps. Shiho let him in and sat with him for a while, she then decided to speak what's on her mind.
"Gin, I think we should break up" she said, feeling her heart shake on the inside. This is what she wanted for years but never dared to say.
Gin stared at her with a blank expression for a long moment. Shiho hated when he stayed silent, he scares her with his silence more than his screams because she never knew what could happen next.
"And why?... The sudden decision?" he asked calmly.
"I think you know the answer to that. It's not really sudden, you've been screwing me over for some time now"
"I believe I haven't done anything bad to you, I've only been good to you Sherry, and if I did something bad then you know that you brought it on yourself, I wouldn't harm you without a reason. I still think your decision is sudden, something must've changed and made you want to break up, but if that thing is not me, it has to be related to you" Gin was still uncharacteristically calm.
"Nothing has changed from my part, Gin. I just had enough, I can't keep up with you anymore"
"And why are you telling me now of all time If this has been the case for so long?"
"Because I was thinking it over, and I finally decided that I want this.." she motioned with her hand "..whatever this is, I'm not sure the word relationship applies to it, I want it over"
"So in your opinion, the thing we share doesn't even rise to a relationship?" Gin asked, with a special emphasis on every word, Shiho knew he does that whenever he's angry, but she went on with all the courage she has.
"At least from your part Gin, if you were to consider it a relationship you wouldn't be cheating on me on every occasion you get, especially with vermouth" Gin looked at her with raised brows "what! You thought I didn't know about it? Everyone in the organization knows"
"Okay… ….okay okay okay" Gin's voice was still so low, he let out a long sigh "okay"
He got up and walked to Shiho, who despite looking strong was very shaken on the inside. She was trying to remember all of the training to use in case he attacks her. Gin stood right in front of her and kneeled down.
"you should've told me that earlier, I wouldn't have forced you to be with me against your will, Sherry"
Gin moved a strand of hair from her face, placing it behind her ear. He looked at her face, examining every bit of it, he was eating her with his eyes, taking in every moment for his memory. He loved Sherry, so much he can't think how his life will be without her, hell he doesn't want to think about it, he'll just know it when he lives it.
Shiho looked at him skeptically, Gin reacting so maturely, so calmly, this was too good to be true.
Gin pushed himself forward, printing a long kiss on her cheek, breathing in her smell which he's gonna miss.
"Goodbye, Sherry" he said when done and stood up " but if I find out there's something else behind this decision of yours, I will kill whatever reason"
There he goes! That's the Gin she knew.
Gin was thinking about what could've changed Shiho's mind, the thought of her finding another man tormented him. If he accepted letting her go, he wasn't gonna accept another man having her, he wouldn't allow it, if Sherry is not his anymore, she won't be anybody's.
Gin thought about Dai, it all started going downhill since he had appeared, it was him that's been feeding Sherry these ideas of leaving and eventually he got to her brain and here she broke up with him. Who knows! Maybe Dai's been trying to make Gin appear as the bad guy to make himself appear as the hero so that she goes to him, maybe he's done all of that just to get Sherry to himself. Just the thought of it angered Gin.
Gin grudgingly accepted to let Shiho go, he felt like she grew too much and she started rebelling, he can't force her to be with him anymore after she straight forward told him she wants to end things. He's not the type to force her to be with him, he might manipulate her into it, scare her to continue it and indirectly push her to do it, but to actually force her, that was not on his list. He still had a reputation to maintain in the organization and even a criminal organization won't appreciate a man that forces women to sexual acts.
Gin wanted to project his anger on someone, anyone, that person happened to be Dai Moroboshi. If he can't kill him intentionally because of Boss, he will make his life a living hell instead.

Shuichi was resting on the sofa after a long day, he was surprised when his phone vibrated announcing a new message from Gin. After three months of not working together, Gin was asking him to meet at some warehouse.
Shuichi got up and put on his jacket, he brought his long hair that was tucked in the jacket out. He took his gun and placed it in his pants belt then went out, eager to find out what the meeting was about.
When he got to the warehouse, Shuichi found only the vehicle of Gin parked outside, so there must be only Gin and Vodka inside. He carefully walked in. To his surprise, Gin was all alone.
"Rye" Gin's stern voice echoed through the large warehouse.
"Gin" Shuichi said. Trying to keep himself calm.
Shuichi was a man of logic always putting his mission first, and that mission required him not to be impulsive and do something he regrets, but despite the little voices in his mind telling him to stick to the FBI's plan, his hands couldn't help but form tight fists.
"This is the last time you hear this word because you lost your code name, you're back to being Dai Morobochi and you can go back to working with your old crew starting tomorrow"
"And who decided that?" Dai asked.
"I did!" Gin replied.
"Then you can take that decision and shove it up your ass because you have no authority to do that"
"Watch your fucking language. I am your fucking superior and I can decide whatever the fucking I want"
"Well not this one, Gin, you have no saying in this one"
"You mother fucker, you were the one to manipulate Sherry to break up with me"
Shuichi was surprised to hear that she finally gathered enough courage to do that, he almost lost his poker face as he fought hard to suppress a wide smile.
"So that's what this is about!.. What she did is quite expected if you ask me, she doesn't need anyone to tell her to do it because it's the obvious thing to do"
"It's not" Gin screamed from the top of his lungs "she used to love me until you showed up and started contaminating her thoughts with your bullshit"
"You're clearly delusional if you believe that. Why would she love you? You hurt her, you threaten her, you beat her up. it was only a matter of time before she stands up to you"
"You bastard" Gin swung his arm to hit Rye, but the latter caught the fist with his palm.
Now, Shuichi has been trying to control himself, but now that Gin attacked him, he felt the beast inside him unleashed, the beast that he can't control. Shuichi couldn't forgive Gin for what he did to him and for what he did to sherry, he had to make him pay back and now is a perfect time.
Shuichi recalled the last time he fought with Gin, he could've won if it weren't for Gin fighting dirty. Driven by his strong hatred and will to revenge, Rye grabbed Gin by the hair violently, bringing his head to the side.
"So you wanna fight dirty? Let's fight dirty" Rye said.
Gin was still trying to regain control but Rye wasted no time and sent his knee to Gin's groin. Gin closed his open mouth to prevent himself from groaning in pain, but the pain was still obvious on his face.
Gin's hand descended automatically to his belt where he kept his gun. Shuichi grabbed it on the way preventing him from reaching the gun. He held Gin's forearm tightly between his two hands and dived his knee in it, it might've broken Gin's bone but Shuichi didn't care. Gin didn't want to show his pain but he couldn't help but let out a short moan with his lips closed. Shuichi then reached for the gun, grabbing it from the other man's belt and placing it on his forehead.
"Give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you right now" Rye's voice was low but steady.
Gin opened his mouth to respond but it was a rhetorical question as it seems, for Rye lifted his arm and hit Gin by the gun, right on the head. Gin's head banged on the wall behind him in response.
Shuichi blocked Gin with the wall. he punched his jaw from the left, and then from underneath, it felt so satisfying. With every punch, Gin felt funny. He felt too lightheaded and dizzy since he got his head banged by the gun, he probably got a concussion which prevented him from fighting accurately, and his right arm was probably broken.
While Rye was busy with Gin's face, Gin's arm was looking for the gun he had wrapped around his ankle. Shuichi realized it and he sent a kick to Gin's knee before taking the gun from his ankle.
Rye greens raised from the gun to Gin's lifeless eyes again. He grabbed Gin's hair and lifted his head up, examining him for a second before throwing him to the concrete floor. Shuichi started kicking the member, he doesn't even know where he was hitting him, he let out all of his hatred on him.
"You-sick-fuck" Shuichi yelled, sending kicks to Gin who seemed to pass out, but it didn't stop Rye from continuing, he didn't stop until he got tired.
Shuichi stood, panting, looking down at Gin, or maybe the corpse of Gin. Blood was flowing down his head, covering the side of his forehead and contrasting his silver hair.
"You see, when I have a business with someone, I do it on my own, I don't send other people to hit them when they turn their backs" Shuichi said, referencing the time that Gin sent someone after him. He then left the warehouse without looking back.
Gin struggled to bring himself to a sitting position. he propped his back against a wall and sat there in thought.
For years now, Gin never felt the taste of defeat, he was rather feared and respected because he never really had anything to lose, he had no family and no attachments and could never be threatened, he was the one making threats. this is the first time he gets in this position, his strength betrayed him for the first time, he wasn't sure whether it's because he got weaker or because Rye was a stronger opponent, either way, it felt terrible, especially after losing his Sherry earlier today.
Gin has never been successful in forming attachments to anyone, or anything, but sherry was his exception.
Throughout his childhood, he never felt loved, he was always abandoned and felt more like a burden than someone that belonged. His mom died before he could form a memory of her and his father never missed an occasion to make him feel unwanted before throwing him to an orphanage that didn't make his life any easier. he winded up running away and living on the streets at the age of 14 where he looked for his father, but he discovered that he had died five years ago from cirrhosis of the liver, it was no surprise to Gin back then, his father was a heavy drinker, he used to abuse him anytime he gets home drunk, which was every single day. All that alcohol must've been the cause. It was better that he found his father had died because he only carried hatred towards him. If he had found him alive, things wouldn't have ended any differently, he would've killed him.
Gin always got betrayed in the orphanage and on the streets. He was a lone wolf and the kids around him never really loved him but followed him out of fear. It's for that reason that he grew up to be so paranoid and distrustful of everyone around him.
As he continued living on the streets, Gin never loved a soul, no one has treated him well enough to deserve love, his emotions were all dead and it's for that reason that he made remarkable results working for the organization that recruited him and saved him from the streets of Tokyo. His mind thinks about strategy and logic, but no bit of emotion could cloud his judgment when he decides to execute a plan.
Today, Gin realized that he does have something to lose, he's not really as strong as he thought, he had weaknesses and they were shoved in his face one after the other on the same day. Even Rye's words managed to get to him.
When Gin was a little kid and strived for love and attention, he never got them. He continued growing loveless, until one day he met Sherry. He had a special connection with her and for once in his life, he felt love towards someone, and because this feeling was new to him, Gin considered that person so precious that he became too protective of it, Gin believed that sherry loved him too, she was the first person to ever make him feel loved and it's for that reason that he cherished her so much.
But what if Rye's words were true? What if she truly never loved him? What if he's never been loved his entire life? The thought made Gin feel so lonely and small. There was still that little kid inside him that strived for love and belonging, but when he finally felt like he belonged, it turns out it's only an illusion.
With sherry gone, Gin felt like he'd lost a very big part of himself, he felt empty, and a deep sadness sat on his chest burdening every breath he took. Now, he doesn't belong anymore, now, he'd lost his only pleasure in this dark life of his, the only person he ever loved and felt loved by. Whether her love was an illusion or not, Gin knew that it's gonna hurt having her away. It hit him deeper than he'd ever expected.
