Me: *pops out from mound of snow* Brr! Ok, whoever pissed off Queen Elsa can go apologise now I want summer back...ACHOO!
Naruto: How are you cold? I'm quite warm you know.
Me: You're a stupid dang FIRE TYPE! Naruto, your type is always toasty!
Naruto: Youch, who stole your vanilla mochi this time?
Me: You try dealing with -30'c weather! *cough* Anyways the gang FINALLY arrives in Eterna City and Naruto gets his first lead as to how he ended up in the pokemon world. What shall they find out? Lets go!
Naruto: Meanwhile I better go dig Aria-sama out from that snow, you know.
Chapter 14
The First Clue:
The Adamant Orb!

It was a clear and warm day when the gang had arrived finally in Eterna City. The instant they had arrived though Naruto, Hinata, and Itachi both felt a strange pull towards what they learned was the city museum. So with all three of their urging to their trainers they had decided to go check it out. Naruto wasn't sure why they felt such a strong pull towards the building but once inside all three felt were on alert. What was in here that pulled at them so strongly?
That's when it happened: an alarm went off.
With it it caused Hinata and Naruto's jewels to glow with ill intent, their eyes red as blood and Itachi's fur to bristle. In a hurry they rushed off to where two fo the museum's most precious relics were on display. One of the cases were shattered and empty and when the gang looked up there was two thieves. But by the auras Naruto and Hinata both knew instantly who they were.
"So you're behind this!"shouted Ash in fury.
"How dare you!"growled Pikachu.
"N-Naruto."Hinata pointed at what Jessie was holding. Itachi and Naruto's eyes turned wide while their blood ran cold.
The orb in the thief's grasp was causing Naruto's powers to drastically run amuck. Actually it was for Hinata and even Itachi too from inside his ball. There was something about that orb that was making their very souls anxious and drawn to it like dustox to a flame. But for Naruto it was causing not just an energy surge but broken pieces of his jigsaw of a memory to unlock, just lurking below the murky surface. His jewels began to faintly glow with a rainbow of colors, a menacing swirl of blood red energy briefly around his body as his fur bristled, causing everyone to get a chill up their spines.
"Give that back."snarled Naruto in a viciously cold tone, one had only used rarely.
"Not for long!"came a female voice.
The gang looked to see a female police officer with blue-green hair and hazel eyes. With her was this weird purple and tan skunk-like pokemon which Pikachu, Naruto, and Hinata all assumed was her partner. Once more Brock was going crazy head over heels at the sight of her, "Officer Jenny~!"
"Stunky, ten hut!"Jenny ordered.
The pokemon, Stunky was fast to go into a hand stand and aimed it's behind at the thieves. Naruto and Hinata paled at what they remembered about skunks in their original world. Hinata was fast to flee into her ball fastened to Brock's belt. While Naruto, not wanting anything to do with his own ball braced himself.
"Wow, Eterna City's Officer Jenny has herself a Skunky huh?"noted Ash as he pulled out his pokedex and pointed it at it.
Stunky the Skunk Pokemon
It protects itself by spraying a foul smelling liquid from its hindquarters which lasts for twenty four hours.
Naruto shivered at that dex entry, covering his nose. At the same time Jessie had grabbed her pokeball, "Oh please, it can't smell any worse then you twerps! Go Seviper!"
"Oh you aren't getting away from me!"hissed Naruto as the fanged snake pokemon was let out and let out a haze attack. The Ghost Fox pokemon swiftly gave chase.
"Whispup, where you going!?"Coughed Ash.
"Quickly, seal the doors! We can't let them get away!"Jenny swiftly ordered.
As the doors were sealed Naruto took full advantage of the abilities he had now gotten used to as easily as breathing now. Using his ability to see auras and faze through walls. Not to mention the added factor that orb was pulling at him like Pain had when he was a teenager. Something inside kept screaming: Get it, you have to get it back! It's important to that being's servant! That's it kept screaming like a broken record.
Meanwhile...
Ash was frantic about Whispup while all chaos had broken loose cause of the lock down and police investigation into the burglary just minutes ago. There they ran into not only Gardenia but Jenny had put poor Nando under arrest out of being a suspect in the case just cause he had a sunflora like the thieves. The gang were also surprised to learn Gardenia was the Eterna City Gym leader. But that was when a very familiar face to Ash and Brock came in, voicing her own objections.
It was Jenny from Veridian City, Kanto Region.
Unfortunately that's when the discord really started up as the search started. But little did they know more trouble was on the way...actually it wasn't far and was just outside as an ominous black helicopter with a "G" on it hovered in the area.
Naruto walked down the halls, following his nose and the particles of Team Rocket's unique auras. They were honestly making this way too easy for him...the idiots. The trail lead him to a storage room door. Carefully he allowed his body to turn invisible before leaping through the door. He walked into a rather odd scene of James restraining a rather upset Jessie, making him deadpan at the sight.
But the Fire/Ghost type and the three idiots paled at seeing the precious relic fall out of Jessie's hand. Meowth, Mime Jr., and Wobbuffet leaped in to try and catch it. But Naruto was faster and leaped in before Mime Jr. could grab it. Team Rocket gaped at the Adamant Orb floating in mid air.
"Ah, it's floating!?"yelped Jessie.
"How the heck is doing that?"squeaked James.
Naruto smirked as he held the Adamant Orb tightly around his tummy, wrapped around and held in place protectively by his paws. Mischievously he snickered as he began to use his powers to make the orb invisible before their eyes, much to their dismay. Naruto then with the orb in paw took it and fazed through the wall with it. That really sent Jessie, James, and Meowth into a tizzy. Naruto though thought it would be best to stay invisible for now. At least while he had the precious relic in his protection. Swiftly he hurried off; he had to get back to Ash and the others.
At the same time Ash, Brock, and Dawn sent their pokemon out to join the search. The objective: find Nando's Sunflora and locate Ash's Whispup that had gone after the bandits. The group all split up to begin the search while back with Naruto he found a very familiar and soothing aura.
One he knew all too well.
"Nando and Roselia?"he thought aloud moving towards the source. He floated into a room where some police and Eterna City's Jenny was questioning poor Nando. "What's going on here?" he thought from where he floated nearby overhead. Naruto's ears perked as he watched her leave, giving off a wave of anger. Slowly he went over to Nando for a closer look. "He looks so distressed, heck I can feel it in his and Roselia's auras."he thought in concern. Naruto wanted to make himself known but he knew right now was not the time. So swiftly left, stealing a quick glance before going through the wall.
As he did he spotted some officers get caught in Sunflora's Leech Seed attack and it made it's escape. By the scent this Sunflora was part of Nando's team. Which made the ex-Hokage curious about the jumpy sunflower-like pokemon. He couldn't help but giggle a little at the two human officers' misfortune due to his mischievious side. His gaze then went to the statues of three pixie-like pokemon. Like the orb in his grasp they made his heart race. His attention however was brought back to reality as his ear twitched. His sniffed and discovered it was Aipom and Turtwig. Swiftly he pursued the scent to find them, sticking his head out of the wall.
"Hey wasn't that Sunflora?"asked Turtwig in surprise.
"Yep, after him!"agreed Aipom as they gave chase.
Sunflora though once more out of fear fired a Leech Seed to immobilize the two pokemon before making a break for it. "Hey guys, what's going on?"Piped up Naruto, startling his two friends as he made himself solid again, still hovering half way inside the wall.
"Naruto! Get us out of these vines!"yelped Aipom.
"Where the heck have you been? Everyone was worried!"scolded Turtwig, still struggling.
"Aipom! Turtwig!"came a very familiar cry as Ash, Dawn and Brock came around the corner.
"Ash, they found Whispup!"pointed out Brock.
Ash was fast to sigh in relief to see his youngest pokemon safe as the golden kitsune-like pokemon came out of the wall and floated over to him with a cheeky smile. All three trainers' eyes turned wide at seeing what the ghost type had protectively in his grasp: The Adamant Orb!
"Whispup how did you get it back?"Yelped Dawn in surprise.
To everyone's surprise Naruto's eyes glowed a brilliant gold as the area around them swallowed them up in an odd vision of the past. In response the orb the ghost fox pokemon held glowed.
"What the heck is going on?"Asked Dawn and Ash swiftly.
"I think Whispup has the ability to show us visions of the past."noted Brock, just as shocked. He defiantly needed to write this down for the professor for later.
Naruto nodded and showed the shadowy aura phantoms and how he had gone after Team Rocket and got the precious relic back. The vision then ended there and Naruto's eyes returned to their azure depths. Ash and his two friends smiled as Ash ruffled the fire/ghost type's head fur, earning a mix between a purr and laugh from Naruto.
"You little scamp."laughed Ash.
"Lets get that orb to Officer Jenny and quick, Ash."noted Dawn as Ash took the orb from his Whispup.
Once Turtwig and Aipom were free the gang quickly decided it'd be best to find the others and get back to the lobby where the police were. At the same time Pikachu and Piplup had found Sunflora and Pikachu being the more responsible one hurried off to find Ash after finding out the thieves were Team Rocket. Piplup and Sunflora though overheard they were tring to find the orb that "vanished" and it stumped the grass type but Piplup knew instantly: Naruto had been here. Piplup and Sunflora decided to jump in and stop the idiots in their tracks.
Naruto and the other pokemon along with their trainers and Jenny from Veridian City and Gardenia hurried to the main lobby looking for the other Jenny. But Team Rocket being chased by Piplup and Sunflora resuted in both groups crashing right into Ash and the gang. Everyone stopped in their tracks but Naruto wasn't fooled and neither were Itachi and Hinata. Hinata and Naruto both let loose one of their fire attacks at the trio, causing them to shriek, "Hot! Hot! Hot!"
Itachi though let loose a water gun at them which made them go, "Cold! Wet! Cold!"
The end result was revealing it was Jessie, James, and Meowth from Team Rocket.
Naruto snarled as Ash barked out an order to surround the three bafoons, something they did faster then the trio could blink. Staravia, Naruto, and Hinata blocked any escape from above while the rest circled them...minus Croagunk, whom as usual, did his own thing. Gardenia even sent out her own Turtwig to help.
"Hey good to see yeah!"greeted Gardenia's Turtwig.
"Likewise."agreed Ash's Turtwig before facing the culprits.
James let out his Carnivine and Cactinea and to nobody's surprise showered some pretty, er, painful affection onto their trainer.
"Oh wow, their awesome!"Gardenia squeaked going all fangirl over James's grass types.
"Love them? Battle them!"snapped Dawn scolding tone.
"Wish we could get the Eterna City Jenny over here."pointed out Jenny.
"You just did."came a familiar voice.
Sure enough Stunky and Jenny raced over right on cue, making the three ex-ninja pale at the sight of Stunky. They didn't want to be bombarded by the stench the poison/dark type skunk pokemon's presence promised.
"Hey Jenny, my Whispup managed to get that orb back from them."Ash informed quickly, showing the relic safe and sound.
"That's great, thank you!"Naruto puffed out his chest proudly at the praise as Eterna Jenny turned to Veridian Jenny, "Listen I was wrong, I hope you can forgive me."
Both Jennies smiled, accepting each other's apology. Meowth though much to Naruto's annoyance was being his usual proud and showing his idiot side as he scowled, "I don't care if there are a hundred Jennies. We'll get that orb back!"
"Yes hand it over like good twerps and nobody gets hurt."grinned James.
"I don't think you factored in my Stunky."smirked Eterna Jenny.
Naruto, Hinata, and Itachi all paled as their fur bristled at seeing Stunky go into a hand stand, getting ready to spray. Sure enough Jessie was not too bright and tried to use Wobbuffet to block the Arceus forsaken stench that got shot right at them that filled the room. Not even covering their noses were gonna block this foul odor out of their sinuses.
"Why didn't you send it back at them Wobbuffet!?"whined Jessie.
"Because that wasn't an attack you idiots, you know!"gagged Naruto.
"Because that wasn't a pokemon move. It's a defense tactic that Stunky has and it lasts for twenty four long hours."informed Eterna Jenny.
"Eeeewwww!"whimpered Hinata.
"Ugh, this is worse then Sasori's poisons from his lab!"gagged Itachi.
"Man that's stink power."chuckled Ash.
"No shit!"agreed Pikachu as he jumped onto Ash's shoulder.
"That's a entire day and night."said dawn with a sweatdrop.
"What a treat..."grumbled Brock.
Team Rocket made a break for it and the gang were fast to pursue them outside, much to their relief at smelling CLEAN fresh air. But to Team Rocket's dismay the police were outside waiting for them. But made way also because of the horrible smell coming from them so they had gotten away.
Evening was here before anybody knew it. Ash gave the orb to the Eterna City Jenny and Jenny smiled and petted Naruto behind the ears, earning a very loud purr. And Nando was set free and any suspicions were tossed away out the window.
"Thank you for your help Nando."thanked Jenny.
"It was nothing."smiled the barb softly. "Eterna City is my favorite city for it is a place that combines both the past and the present."
"So are those legends about Diagla and Palkia really true?"asked Ash, making Naruto's ears perked.
"Legends? What legends? And who the heck are Diagla and Palkia?"he piped up.
"Oh yeah you ran off before we were told about them."quipped Pikachu.
"Just tell me!"begged Naruto lashing his tails impatiently.
"Listen and you might learn something, darling."pointed out Roselia. "Nando's gonna tell you guys the legend."
"In the beginning, there was only a churning turmoil of chaos. At the heart of chaos, where all things became one, appeared an Egg. Having tumbled from the vortex, the Egg gave rise to the Original One. From itself, two beings the Original One did make. Time started to spin. Space began to expand. From itself again, three living things the Original One did make. The two beings wished, and from them, matter came to be. The three living things wished, and from them, spirit came to be. The world created, the Original One took to unyielding sleep..."Nando told them calmly.
The story some how made something click inside Naruto and Hinata's very beings. A blurred vision of a powerful aura that shined like a soft rainbow and many plates circling this being's existence. Words echoed in their minds, words etched into their existence: "Be the flame that protects." Both of them floated up to each statue, unsure what it meant. They had found an answer but more questions came with it.
Who was this "Original One?"
