The room was dark and dreary, the only source of light was the rays from the full moon spilling in through the windows. She stood hidden in the shadows, observing the scene before her.

The room was filled with vampires and demons, she could practically smell the evil in the air. She watched them in silence for a moment, revelling in the knowledge that they would all soon be quaking in her presence.

"Silence! All of you!" a vampire who looked like he had stepped right out of the renaissance period called out. "You all know why I've called you here. Angel is back to being the Slayer's pet. Spike hasn't been seen for weeks. Clearly this town needs someone capable to step up and take charge. Someone who won't buckle under when faced with the Slayer. Brothers and sisters! I, will lead us to victory and take back our town-"

"Wait one goddamn second! Why the hell do you get to be the one in charge?" a tall red headed vampire interrupted.

"Because I'm taking charge," answered the renaissance vampire.

"Oh yeah? Well fuck you. I'm not taking order from the likes of you."

"I say we settle this the old-fashioned way," a goat-horned demon interjected, giving the red-headed vampire a hard shove. Within seconds they're locked in a battle, the rest of erupting into chaos as people starts shouting and egging them on. A couple vampires join in the fight, and it's apparent that no one really knows who they're fighting at this point.

Deciding that the time had come she stepped forward and called out, "Enough!"

The room feel silent, everyone's attention zeroing in on her. For a few seconds it seemed like they were all to stunned to respond, then the red-headed vampire stepped up and spat out, "Who the hell are you?"

She smirked in response, "I'm your new master, I suggest you kneel."

"Oh yeah?" the red-headed vampire rushed towards her. In one swift movement she reached up and grabbed him by the neck. She could feel the heat from the amulet pulsating against her chest, filling her with power. She concentrated the power and felt the heat spread from her arm and out through her hand. She watched in morbid fascination as the vampire in her grasp let out a horrific scream as he burst into flames.

The room was back to being eerily silent, but this time everyone was looking at her with fear in their eyes. She arched one eyebrow in intimidation and hissed, "I believe I told you all to kneel."

The End… For Now

Authors Note: Thank you to everyone who has been following this story. I know there is a few plot points I've left open and I am planning a sequel sometime in the future. But this fic has already gone longer than I originally planned, and I felt that this was a good place to end it. I hope to see you all in the next instalment, but if not thank you for reading!
