Season 3 Episode 43: Bravo Fateful Encounter!

The day had proven exhausting for Yukinari: having to fight Miharu's older brother because he was worried for Miharu only to find out that she was not in any kind of danger was physically and mentally taxing. In addition, it turned out the whole thing was a product of Miss Nina's dark, sadistic sense of humor in a way. Regardless, it was good to know Miharu was okay and after all was said and done, his self-esteem was riding high. It was almost like the whole thing was part of Miss Nina's plan all along... A way of getting him motivated?..

Whatever the case, what he felt he needed at the moment was a generous amount of sleep. The nap he was in the middle of was certainly helping but it wasn't enough to fully rest him. In the comfort of his own bed, he began suffering a very potent appetite. He suffered a hunger that, despite his tired body and his aching joints, forced him back up to his sore feet. After getting into something within arm's reach, he heads downstairs and approaches his fridge. Rummaging through for a moment, he pulls out a bento box of brown rice, chicken, and umeboshi that, if he had to guess, Kirie had prepared. After heating it up, he begins eating away as he began walking around his house, box in one hand, chopsticks in the other all the while still enduring a few lingering pains. Moving about the first floor, for some odd reason, he feels as though something were out of the ordinary or as if there were some presence lingering about. He approaches his kitchen table but finds nothing out of place. His television is as he remembers it, his bed in his room only lightly disturbed by his rest but still his bed nonetheless. Regardless, he couldn't shake the suspicion that something or someone was nearby...

Just outside his house, before the front door, a young brunette paced back and forth nervously. "I, I should just go in there and, and check up on him. Miharu will be in there too" Kirie thinks to herself. After staring at the front door for a long while, she rests her finger on the door bell but stops short of ringing it. "I, I can't do it. I've admitted my feelings to him! I don't know if I can face him!" she sighs in a frustrated embarrassment and begins to retreat to her house just next door. Before she can make it off of the Sasaki premises, the front door swings wide open.

"Good evening" Yukinari greets out his front door startling the retreating brunette. Kirie stops dead in her tracks and turns around slowly, ashamed she had been spotted.

"Yukinari... Hello" she says with a struggle.

"Hey Kirie. What's up?"

"Y-you caught me before I got to ring the door bell" Kirie explains struggling to cover the nervousness in her voice.

"I did? Looks like you were walking away though" Yukinari observed.

"I, I was just going to get something from my house" Kirie excused swiftly.

"You were?" Yukinari asked throwing a glance next door. "Well, go on then." At this, Kirie stiffens.

"...O-on second thought, I don't really have to" Kirie excuses again.

"Oh, okay. You wanna come in or something?" Yukinari asks scratching the back of his head.

"...S-sure" Kirie agrees on impulse and she proceeds inside. "Why did I just agree to this?" she immediately wondered as the front door closed behind her.

"I was just eating dinner Kirie. Hope you don't mind" Yukinari explains as he proceeds upstairs.

"Not at all" Kirie answered as she followed.

"You hungry Kirie? You're welcome to my fridge if you're hungry" Yukinari offers recalling his manners. He takes a seat on his bed, his dinner set on his lap.

"No. Thank you" Kirie answered politely. "I just ate."

"Oh, okay then" Yukinari responds. An awkward silence begins between the two. During this time, Yukinari recalls Kirie admitting her feelings and how she was in love with him. Though no words were exchanged at that very moment, Yukinari could sense Kirie was recalling the exact same thing. Hoping to mitigate the awkwardness, Kirie quickly thinks over what to speak to Yukinari about.

"Yukinari" Kirie starts, "I, I've been wanting to apologize for not being there for you at the opening" Kirie said taking a seat on Yukinari's office chair, her eyes shifting uneasily between Yukinari and anything else in the room. "I was just feeling very anxious. Now that I think back, you must have felt so much worse. I'm really sorry" she apologized.

"It's okay Kirie, I understand" Yukinari answered. "I get it though: I've seen how you get when you watch your teams playing. Hehehe... Also, it's over and done with so it doesn't matter" he finished prompting Kirie to sigh with relief.

"I'm very glad to hear that. You have no idea... So where's Miharu?" Kirie then asked glancing at the door.

"Seiren" Yukinari answers.

"W-what do you mean Seiren?" Kirie questions quickly. "She didn't come back with you?"

"She's decided to stay a little while longer in Seiren. She said she wasn't ready to come live on Earth again just yet."

"Really? For how long?" Kirie asked.

"I don't know. I hope not too long. As long as she needs. And I hope that we can all go to the way we all used to be. For the most part."

"For the most part?" Kirie wondered.

"I mean I want Miharu to be our friend again" Yukinari explains. "Like old times."

"So I guess this means she was okay? She wasn't hurt or anything?"

"Not at all. She was better than okay!" Yukinari answers chuckling. "She was very well cared for. She had two refrigerators in the house and had a tennis court in the backyard and even a computer!" Yukinari said to Kirie's astonishment. "She has friends back home and movie nights and would even nurse Seiichirou back to health whenever he was worn out!" Yukinari said before laughing generously.

"Is this something to laugh about? I mean you were so worried about her!" Kirie voiced with concern.

"I need to laugh Kirie" Yukinari said. "Sometimes you need to find the humor in things otherwise you'll go nuts" Yukinari finished with a half-forced grin.

"If you say so..." Kirie agreed. "...How should we welcome her back?"

"The usual: just take her out to eat somewhere. You and I both know she loves that more than anything" Yukinari recalled.

"Right" Kirie agreed. "So you could take her out somewhere. I'm sure she'll love that."

"Me? Don't you mean we?" Yukinari asked.

"We?.." Kirie repeated confused.

"Kirie, I'm not getting back together with Miharu if that's what you're wondering" Yukinari said.

"..Yukinari, but I thought-" Kirie said before halting. Yukinari gently shakes his head.

"No Kirie, I'm afraid not" Yukinari answered. Kirie did not know how to respond so sensing her confusion, Yukinari went on. "Kirie, when I saw her again after so long, I realized something" Yukinari explains as Kirie leans in, her interest piqued.

"What?"

"I was over her" Yukinari reveals. Kirie was taken aback but she says nothing since she could tell Yukinari still had a bit more to say. "There was a time when I could not even fathom ever not having feelings for her but then we broke up and after seeing her again... there I was... I realized I was over her" Yukinari finishes.

"I'm shocked Yukinari" Kirie said sincerely. "I-I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry, Kirie. It's life. Sometimes things don't work out. And it's probably for the best.. As a matter of fact, sometimes I wonder what might have been if we had never split up."

"What do you mean?" Kirie questioned.

"I mean would I have joined the club if I were still with Miharu?" Yukinari pondered.

"You think you would've?" Kirie asked.

"I don't think so Kirie. I would have never met Miss Nina or learned to throw a fist" Yukinari said looking down at his knuckles. With some trepidation, he resumed. "In a way, Miharu was a crutch."

"Yukinari, what are you saying?" Kirie voiced urgently.

"I don't mean it negatively. I was happy with Miharu, for most of my time with her" Yukinari said. "But I wasn't happy with myself. Even though she was shorter than me and didn't set off my allergy, I was still allergic and puny and I didn't see a need to do anything about it. As long as she was there. I learned that all too well after our split: I was on my own again and not much had changed compared to what life was like before first meeting Miharu."

"Hey, you could have told me about it" Kirie protested. "You weren't on your own."

"I didn't want to trouble you with my problems Kirie" Yukinari confessed.

"It wouldn't have been any trouble" Kirie insisted. "You can confide in me." Yukinari smiles warmly at Kirie's words.

"Thanks Kirie but it would have been trouble for me" Yukinari countered. "I was too proud to ask you for help." Kirie said nothing and listened on. "So I wanted to do something on my own, for myself. No one's help."

"And that's why you joined Miss Nina's club?" Kirie guessed.

"That's right" Yukinari confirms. "Sometimes it nags me: what if Miharu and I had never split up? Where would I be now?"

"Don't get too hung up on it. You won't get very far wondering what could have been. Focus on what is" Kirie advised.

"You're right. That's exactly what I'm doing" Yukinari said.

"Good" Kirie finishes.

"Right now, just want Miharu to come back when she's ready and we'll all just be friends. Keep things simple..."

"...I miss her" Kirie said.

"I do too... Speaking of Miharu, where's Lisa?" Yukinari suddenly asks. "She was with you right?"

"Lisa? Yeah. She was with me but then her own bodyguards saw to it that she got back home. Apparently, her parents weren't too happy that she didn't attend a meeting they had scheduled."

"Wow. Meeting they had scheduled?" Yukinari repeated. "Lisa's parents seem pretty strict huh?"

"They're pretty cold and detached in general, in Fukuyama's own words" Kirie remarked. "They're all business. From what I could tell, neither Lisa nor Kazuharu had very good relationships with them. I know Kazuharu could've used a better relationship with his parents. Money couldn't really buy him happiness. It was womanizing that made him happy" she said darkly.

"I guess I should feel lucky my parents are out of the house then. Got my whole place to myself!" Yukinari said somewhat self-congratulatory.

"If you say so" Kirie agreed as Yukinari stretched comfortably atop his bed. "You seem in high spirits."

"I guess. Is that bad Kirie?" Yukinari asked.

"No, not at all. You should be in high spirits!" Kirie said upbeat. "That must have been a tough fight. And you won!"

"Yeah, I did!" Yukinari agreed proudly.

"Still, you must be feeling pretty sore right now" Kirie said. "Your face is looking a little worn too, if I may say."

"Yeah, actually I am a little sore in spots. I took a bath and napped a bit hoping it would go away but it didn't do much good" Yukinari informed as he flexed his pained limbs. "My knuckles are kind of bothering me at the moment."

"I could go get you a cold pack if you want. That always helps me when I'm sore" Kirie offered.

"Cold packs sound good. My wrists are bothering me the most" Yukinari said rotating his hands.

"You have some right?" Kirie asked.

"I think I have two in my fridge."

"I'll go check" Kirie said.

"Thanks Kirie" Yukinari said and Kirie headed downstairs. In the kitchen, she locates and pulls the cold packs out of the fridge.

"Here they are" she said to herself but she does not immediately head back up. "He, he's upstairs... And we're all alone" Kirie realizes. "Wh-what should I do?" she pondered urgently. Her face warming up, she presses the cold packs to her cheeks for a few moments. "What exactly do I expect of him? He already knows how I feel about him.. Maybe I'm being silly... I should just say good night and go home" she said with a sigh.

Back upstairs, Yukinari reflected: "...I, I can't believe I won... I actually won!.. I mean I got lucky but still!" he thought swelling with pride as his victory was still sinking in. He looked at his hands and though they were mildly swollen, they felt like they were capable of anything. He didn't know if he had ever felt such confidence in the past and, out of sheer joy, he balled his hands into fists. At that moment, he felt he could take on the whole world as he punched the air. "Ow..." Yukinari yelped as his worn knuckles reminded him of their strain. With that, he finishes the last of the bento and lies back down atop his bed. "I needed that" he muttered rubbing his stomach.

His victory was not the only thing occupying Yukinari's mind then. When not thinking about Miharu's eventual return, he thought back to Kirie's confession. Knowing Kirie had broken up with the handsome and wealthy Kazuharu because she was instead in love with her childhood friend, Yukinari was nothing short of flattered. As complimentary as it was, it also troubled him. Yukinari feared Kirie might expect something from him beyond a simple friendship and he was not very keen on entering another relationship.

Back downstairs, Kirie takes a deep breath before returning back up to Yukinari's room in a nervous stride. She re-enters to find Yukinari having finished his dinner. "Here you go Yukinari" Kirie announced as she handed over the cold packs.

"Thanks Kirie" Yukinari said as he accepted the packs. He places them along the length of the back of his hands and was almost instantly alleviated. "Oh yeah, that's better."

"Good to hear" Kirie said sitting back down on the same office chair. "Leave 'em on for a while."

"Sure" Yukinari agreed. "It's nothing too serious anyways Kirie. After a little more rest, maybe another nap, and with a full stomach now, I'm sure I'll recover in no time" Yukinari said enjoying how soft and cool his bed felt. "By the way Kirie, did you prepare the bento I just ate or was it Lisa?"

"Yeah, I believe I did so..." Kirie confirms after glancing at the box at the foot of the bed.

"Really? Thanks Kirie! It was pretty good. Really hit the spot" Yukinari complimented. "That whole experience really took a lot out of me so it was nice to put something back in, ya know?"

"I'm glad you liked it" Kirie responds. "Mom's been helping me with my cooking though so I can't take all the credit.. Kind of embarrassing knowing now how easy it actually was..." she admitted with a hint of shame.

"I'll have to thank Mrs. Kojima too then" Yukinari said. "Remind me to thank Lisa also. You two have been really supportive."

"It was nothing Yukinari, really. Pales in comparison to what you've been up to. How you've been changing yourself I mean. I'm very proud of you" Kirie says, a warm sincerity in her voice. "We should throw some sort of celebration" she suggested.

"Oh come on Kirie. I think you and Lisa have done greater things! Lisa's got her trippy magic and you have those awesome, flashy kung fu moves" Yukinari praised. "All I did was fight some guy and got real lucky. There was padding no less and a referee... Wasn't that big of a deal."

"Yukinari, don't sell yourself short like that: none of that changes the fact that you took Seiichirou on one-on-one. That took guts: he was a pretty intimidating guy and let's not forget when you faced those two bastards at once! I never thought I'd ever see that out of you!" Kirie says in admiration. "I was afraid you would get hurt but you defended yourself well enough Yukinari. I still remember when I'd have to stick up for you and now it seems you'll be just fine. Without anyone's help..."

"Yeah, it does seem that way now doesn't it?" Yukinari carelessly acknowledged, his ego stroked.

"...I guess, you don't really need me as much as you used to, huh?"

"I guess not" Yukinari answered shrugging, his head resting on his hands as he stared at the ceiling mulling over Kirie's words and feeling like he was about to fall asleep. "Time changes us all I guess" Yukinari said with a slight yawn. Kirie says nothing, her palms grasping each other firmly. Neither exchange any words for a long time, the sound of the clock on the wall the only thing permeating the still air.

"...Yukinari..."

"Hmm?" Yukinari murmured lethargically.

"...What am I to you?" Kirie finally challenged.

"..Huh? A friend, of course" Yukinari answered readily.

"Is that all I am?"

Yukinari becomes uncomfortable recalling Kirie's confession much earlier before. "..A very good friend" he responds crookedly as he turns her way. Kirie does not respond. "..You're very important to me Kirie. Really really important. I mean, we grew up together..."

"...I'm glad to hear that Yukinari..." Kirie said as Yukinari's tired eyes threatened to close. "Thanks."

"S-sure" Yukinari says getting comfortable again. "It's true Kirie..." He reinforces drowsily.

"Sleep tight Yukinari" Kirie said anticipating Yukinari's slumber.

"..Y-yeah..." Yukinari answers before finally succumbing to his exhaustion.

"...You've earned this rest" Kirie thought and stayed seated for a time lost in thought before she got up to adjust Yukinari's pillow. Now closer up, she gets a closer look at Yukinari's face. "Uh-oh! Some of these cuts look a little more serious than I thought. Like they could get infected. Better disinfect them" she thought and made quick work of finding Yukinari's first-aid kit. "..I suppose I should just be thankful for our friendship" Kirie thought as, kneeling on his bed, she carefully began to tend to Yukinari's wounds. "...But these feelings have been so terribly stubborn" she thought further as she noticed Yukinari's developing physique. "A-and this isn't helping!" she thought urgently with pink cheeks: Yukinari's sleeveless undershirt was clinging to him quite tightly. Feeling daring, Kirie begins to press one of her fingers against Yukinari's pectoral. "He f-feels firm!" Kirie learned. "And now I'm a perv!" she condemned herself as she began to pull her hand away. "Eeek!" she then suddenly let out.

A seemingly unconscious Yukinari had snatched Kirie's daring hand just as she was withdrawing it. Her hand in his possession, Yukinari's eyes start to open up again.

"I-I'm sorry!" Kirie apologized. "I-I didn't mean to wake you!" she continued as Yukinari sat up. "I was just trying to apply some disinfecting ointment on some of your injuries!"

"Y-you were?" Yukinari asks half asleep.

"Yes!" Kirie answered quickly. "Your face has some cuts. They could get infected so they need tending to."

"Oh... G-go on then" Yukinari said.

"S-sure!" Kirie responds and she resumes carefully dabbing away at Yukinari's face with ointment. "Doesn't sting I hope."

"Not at all" Yukinari answers as his gaze warmed to the sight of Kirie nursing him.

"..There... Should be enough. You should lie back down now" Kirie instructed as she finished up applying ointment. "You need your rest."

"..You're too good to me" Yukinari said suddenly taking Kirie by surprise.

"Eh? W-well what are friends for? Right?" Kirie said as she was closing up the ointment.

"You're the reason, Kirie" Yukinari says in a sleepy gentleness.

"Wh-what?"

"You're the reason why I joined the club. You always encouraging me and telling me to believe in myself and sticking up for me; I've always wanted to find a way to return the favor" Yukinari revealed to a charmed Kirie who tried to respond but found herself unable to speak. Yukinari's eyes looked deep into hers and his words sounded more than ever like they were coming straight from the heart: she did not dare interrupt. "I've always hated disappointing you more than anything. After all you've done for me, I've always wanted to pay you back somehow and make you proud of me."

"..I-I AM proud of you" Kirie managed to whisper, both lost in each other's gaze. "..Very proud" she says as she noticed Yukinari's hands cradling her waist before his arms began to wrap around pulling her closer, her own hands now on his shoulders, her body not trying to pull away.

"..I'm glad" Yukinari finishes, bodies and faces close. A single thought occupied Yukinari's mind then and there: an overwhelming desire to pay Kirie back for all she had ever done for him. Eyes closed, his lips meet hers, a bewildered Kirie in disbelief this was actually happening but still making no effort to resist for a hearty moment before parting. "..Kirie.. What are we doing?" Yukinari asks in shock, his eyes opening wide.

"I-I don't know!.." an equally shocked and red Kirie answers, her hand over her mouth. "Y-you kissed ME!"

For as long as they've both known each other, Yukinari and Kirie often thought of each other as just friends. Any thoughts of romance between the two would only prove fleeting and tenuous; this was especially the case for Yukinari, his allergy and shortcomings always holding him down. Now that mouths had met, Yukinari was lost in Kirie's eyes, some red on his face and Kirie looked back just as deeply, the blush on her face exceeding his. Wanting to feel Kirie's lips again, Yukinari pulled the brunette closer and gently moved her hand out of the way; Kirie surrendered to her childhood friend and their mouths meet once more for long enough that both needed to catch their breaths afterwards.

After kissing the brunette, it was as if a veil had been lifted from his eyes. Yukinari felt drawn more than ever to Kirie and the curves and contours of her body: her figure, a perfect hourglass, was concealed beneath a black spaghetti-strap tank top and a thigh-high denim skirt with a frill hem. Kirie was dressed very modestly but despite this, what skin Yukinari could see and touch was starting to drive him insane. She meanwhile pressed up against him admiring how strong his arms, shoulders, and chest felt.

"...Yu-Yukinari, I-I" Kirie managed to get out as Yukinari held her very close, her peach-scented body wash caressing his nose. Before Kirie could finish her sentence, another kissing session breaks out. Kirie's lips prove a thrill for Yukinari, the rush of adrenaline draining him of all his exhaustion. Looking at Kirie, he could tell she had experienced that same jolt of energy. Just then, Yukinari realizes his hand had done some venturing of its own. He was quick to tear it away from her bosom.

"K-Kirie! I'm sorry!" Yukinari apologized fearing reprisal but Kirie made no such move. On the contrary, she simply wanted to feel his lips and touch again. It would not have taken much: Kirie closes in again and he takes great care not to place his hands too high up or down too low as it was impossible to keep their mouths apart for very long. Kirie, a sturdily-built martial artist, felt both surprisingly soft in all the right places and fragile in Yukinari's arms despite how fierce of a person she could often become.

"...Yukinari, I'm scared" a red-faced, dazed Kirie breathes anxiously during a brief pause. As she admitted this, Kirie sees a more confident Yukinari with no evidence of any allergy or timidness: a Yukinari she had often hoped to meet one day. Yukinari in contrast sees Kirie like he'd never seen her before: that plain little fierce friend he had grown up with had blossomed into a voluptuous, passionate, capable, and full-fledged woman. How he had never noticed this before was beyond him.

Neither could unwrap their arms from the other or stop pressing up against the other and both seemed bonded at the mouth. This all left very little chance for exchange of words until an overwhelmed Kirie felt herself melting in Yukinari's arms.

"Kirie, are you okay?" Yukinari whispered as Kirie's grip started to slacken prompting him to lay her down atop his bed. Before Kirie could respond, Yukinari found his hand had ventured once again and it now sat gently atop Kirie's breast. Before he could pull it away, Kirie moved her own hand atop his and held it against herself. Her other hand meanwhile had a solid grip on Yukinari's other arm further indicating she didn't want him to pull away. Kirie then gave a very slight nod to confirm she was okay.

At this point, Yukinari feared he was losing control and on the cusp of crossing a line from which there would be no turning back. A burning sensation in the pit of his chest urged him onward and forward, the sight before him and sensitive flesh in his hand immensely tempting. Underneath him, Kirie felt similarly intoxicated by the encounter and awaited the next move of her beloved Yukinari hovering above her.

Through her dark top, Yukinari caressed and gently squeezed one of Kirie's soft and supple breasts. Yukinari's firm and toning body was certainly to Kirie's liking and she hoped her body was to his liking just the same. Emboldened by the passivity of an otherwise fierce woman, he begins to massage both of Kirie's breasts and then gently presses his face into her cleavage.

"Yukinari!" Kirie managed to breathe then, her hands admiring his broad back, hair, and shoulders.

"..Kirie" Yukinari whispered back, his arms wrapped around the brunette before they began to pull the straps to her top down her shoulders. She made no attempt to stop this prompting him to continue until the straps had cleared her elbows. With her top down now, her pitifully undersized baby blue sports bra was revealed.

"Yukinari!" Kirie repeats, a hue of red coloring all the flesh Yukinari could see, and her breathing quickens in anticipation.

She did not wait long: with a gentle hand, Yukinari began to feel Kirie's bountiful bust through her bra. As he did so, he kisses her and she kisses back. Their mouths part and Yukinari slips Kirie's bra up with the greatest of care exposing very intimate flesh to the open air. Kirie exhales letting out a gentle moan. Yukinari's hold on Kirie tightens and he looks at her and she looks back, her face red, her breathing irregular, her expression receptive knowing exactly and fully accepting of what would surely come next.

Yukinari had accidentally seen Kirie undressed a number of times before usually with painful consequences but never like this: this was no accident and there would be no retaliation. Yukinari had Kirie's consent as she laid there awaiting his next move. He gently presses his palm against her bountiful, naked bosom right before the touch of his lips advanced on the most delicate surfaces of her breasts.

"Yukinari~!" Kirie gasps urgently, Yukinari's arms around her like pincers which she had neither hope nor desire to free herself from. He tastes her supple flesh like he were trying to soothe fears, doubts, and worries she may have ever harbored during their time together. Another gasp escapes Kirie, her arms wrapping around Yukinari's head.

A million thoughts and emotions raced through Yukinari's mind, most prominent among them Kirie's infamous words: "Yukinari, I'm in love with you." His breathing sped up as he looked down at the brunette in his room. Kirie's hourglass figure; the girth of her chest rising and falling in-rhythm with her breathing; her round and tantalizing, child-bearing hips; and the length of her long and toned legs all bewitched him. Positioned just above the buxom beauty, Yukinari gripped at his bed sheets tightly, sexual instinct demanding he stop thinking and merely act. He could sense that Kirie was under a similar influence, both now past the point of no return.

With her hair strewn messily atop Yukinari's bed, Kirie felt her body burning hot. "W-what's going on!?.. M-my body f-feels like... it's on fire!" Kirie thought feeling Yukinari's body pressing down on her. "Yu-Yukinari... this is.. m-my first time" a blushing Kirie tried to whisper in between rushed breaths but to no avail. Her arms grasping Yukinari's back, her neck falling prey to his lips, she succumbs to the intensity of it all. Yukinari, overcome by a wild and primal masculine instinct, ravages her body, the brunette giving in. No matter how hard either tried, neither could tear themselves away from the other, their bodies ablaze, their fires intermingling. Finally, Yukinari sits up momentarily and takes in the incredible beauty of his childhood friend one last time, a naturally beautiful woman who had longed for his love a great length of time and he suffers a terrible regret as though he had neglected her. He removes his shirt revealing the developing physique underneath, a maneuver and sight Kirie finds ever more irresistible.

That night became the first of its kind for both of them. Yukinari wasn't sure if he could ever put into words how much he truly appreciated Kirie deep inside. However, he was perfectly capable of showing her how he felt. Disregarding potential consequences, the whole of the world vanishing around them, he let her know that she occupied a special place in his life in a display of passion neither could ever have foreseen or would ever forget...
