"So, what made you want this?" Caroline asked as she put a finger under Percy's chin to tilt his head up. She hummed quietly as she applied another layer of eyeliner on him. "Wings or no wings?"

"Wings of course," Percy mumbled, trying not to twitch as he waited patiently for her to finish. "I got this dress that I really like for the dance."

The blonde leaned back a bit to look at him in surprise, "A dress, huh? What does it look like?"

The teen grinned, "You'll see. Just know, it's green and blue."

"Aw, you can't model it for me?" Caroline pouted, gently grabbing his face so she could tilt his head side to side. "Glitter?"

"Go for it. I haven't even showed Damon what I'm wearing yet. Any news on Stefan's party?"

She hummed, opening a drawer in her bathroom to grab another makeup bag, "We were thinking about having a small party in the clearing near the school. You coming?"

Percy wetted his lips a bit as he thought, "I don't see why not. I did get him a present after all."

"You did?" Caroline's mouth pulled down into a frown, "That doesn't seem right."

"Don't worry," The green-eyed teen waved his hand dismissively. "It's not a nice gift."

She giggled a bit and nodded, "Now, that's more like you. What is it?"

"I'm not telling," Percy grinned. "That would ruin the surprise for everyone."

Caroline raised an eyebrow at him, "You didn't murder someone, did you?"

The human tilted his head, "Hmm... Not that I can think of, no."

She pointed at him, "You know, that's not as reassuring as you think it is."

"I am a beacon of good, Ms. Forbes."

"Bull~shit," She sang, checking his makeup. "I think you're all good."

Percy blinked, turning to look at the bathroom mirror. A grin made its way onto his face once again, "Wow, it looks perfect, Care."

"Of course it does, I did it after all," The blonde smiled before packing up her makeup. "Wanna hang out today? Bonnie and I are going to Elena's place to get ready before the party starts."

He squinted at her, "Won't it be weird, what with me being a dude?"

"Nah," She waved her hand. "You're practically one of us anyways."

The teen opened his mouth to retort before closing it and nodding sagely, "That's fair."

Caroline snorted, shaking her head. "Want me to drive you to Elena's?"

"Sure," He shrugged, pushing himself away from the counter to walk over to her. "Damon's busy doing whatever bullshit he does, so it's not like I'm doing anything today."

"Okay, come on," She grabbed her keys with one hand, slipping on her flats with the other. "Maybe we can pick up some ice cream before we get there."

He sighed and put on his leather jacket, "Alright but I'm not asking them what they want."

"Of course I am, you still haven't even bothered to get their numbers," The blonde rolled her eyes, waving to her mom as they left.

Percy grinned at his friend's mother, "Goodbye, Sheriff Forbes!"

"Don't cause any trouble," She smiled, raising an eyebrow at him.

He put a hand on his chest, "Sheriff, my word is my bond."

"You and I both know your word means shit."

The human blinked, tilting his head, "Well, I'm not going to say you're wrong."

The woman shook her head before placing a motherly kiss on the teen's forehead, "Have fun, alright? You look amazing."

Percy's face colored slightly in the face of the action but he nodded, "I will. Thank you."

"We'll be staying the night at Elena's," Caroline explained, ignoring her friend's look of surprise. "And don't worry about him being a boy-" She tried to add but her mom interrupted her.

"Oh, I'm not worried about that," The Sheriff waved her off. "Percy's like a woman on her period 24/7. Just make sure to text me when you get to her house after the dance."

The blonde nodded, both women continuing to talk for a moment as Percy made a face at the mother's comment. "We're going now. Bye, mom!"

"Have fun tonight, girls."

Percy waved at her as he walked outside. "I'm not even offended," He grinned, practically skipping to Caroline's car.

"Are you wearing makeup?" Aunt Jenna asked as she opened the door for Percy and Caroline.

"Yes, Caroline did it." Percy batted his eyes at her, "Am I pretty?"

She grinned, shaking her head, "You're beautiful. Come in, Bonnie's already with Elena upstairs. I got cookies in the oven if you want any later."

"You're amazing," The human grinned brightly, kissing her on the cheek before dashing up the stairs.

"He's like a tornado," Aunt Jenna laughed, shaking her head as she closed the door. "Do you want something to drink?"

"No, thank you," Caroline smiled. "But I'll take some cookies when they're ready."

The woman nodded, "I'll bring them up soon."

"Percy! Caroline!" Elena perked up when she saw her two friends walk in with food. She wasn't even surprised to see Percy eating coffee-flavored ice cream. She gestured for them to sit on the bed with her and Bonnie. "Hey, Care, where's your dress?"

The blonde blinked before groaning, scooping up some of her vanilla ice cream, "Shit, I left it in my car."

"I can get it in a little," Percy offered, already on his phone while leaning on Bonnie's shoulder. "One of my cousins are dropping off my outfit anyways."

Bonnie raised an eyebrow at him, "Do we get to meet this cousin?"

He tilted his head before shrugging, "Not sure. He's only stopping by for a few minutes."

"Somehow, it surprises me that you have a family," Caroline joked, grinning at the other. " Sometimes I just think you appeared into the world like this."

Percy laughed, shaking his head slightly before his face dropped into a deadpan expression, "Funny."

"Percy!" Aunt Jenna called from downstairs, " Your cousin's here!"

The teen stood up from the bed, "Coming, Aunt Jenna!" He blinked in surprise when he realized the girls got up with him. "You all have no life."

Bonnie snorted, "You're only just noticing that now? Come on, I want to meet your family."

"Whatever."

When Caroline reached the bottom of the stairs, she could see her friend talking to someone around her age. He was a little taller than Percy with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He wore a simple purple shirt with blue jeans and sneakers, and he had on gold-looking glasses.

"Who's this?" Caroline asked as she walked over, propping her arm up on Percy's shoulder.

The blonde blinked at her before looking at Percy, "Oh, I see. You replaced me, bro."

"No, bro, it's not like that," Percy made plaintive noises, draping himself over the other's shoulder. "You know you're my bestie."

There was a moment of silence before the blonde began laughing. He held out a fist, "Good to see you, Perce."

Percy knocked his fist again his, "You too, Jace." He turned to the girls who were standing by the stairs. "Everyone, this is my cousin Jason. Jason, meet Caroline and company."

"Nice to meet you," Jason grinned. "I'd apologize for my cuz but I'm sure you're used to him."

Bonnie hip-checked Percy out of the way, "I'm Bonnie and this is Elena." She gestured over time her long-haired friend, who waved.

"I'm only here to give Percy his outfit," He said after giving his pleasantries, grabbing a outfit bag that was hanging on a hook at the door. "I have to go now. I'm dealing with some shit over in Washington."

"Big oof," Percy grabbed the clothes from him. "Have fun with that. Love you, Jace! I appreciate you."

Jason pointed at him, "You better. Tempest seemed like he wanted to kill you."

"Don't lie, Tempest loves me. Now, go away. This is girl time."

He waved at him, laughing slightly, before finally leaving, making a heart with his hands as he did.

Percy shook his head before turning to his friends, who looked like they were suppressing laughter. "What?"

"Nothing..." Caroline put a hand on her friend's shoulder and finished solemnly, "Bro."

"Shut you ever-loving fuck," He pushed the clothes at her, snatching her keys from the table by the door. "You're just jealous!"

The blonde giggled, calling out to him, "Thank you for getting my dress! I love you, bro!"
