Explaining the end of the word can be a bit hard. Luckily, they already knew everything about what had really happened, after all you don't see angels and demons falling from the skies every day and coming back after a hundred years being dead.

My brothers, though, were not dead. Not for a long time, of course, but they initially survived the Apocalypse and they told me later that they were saved by one of the makers, being brought to that tree I woke up in days before and then coming here. As a hundred years had passed, they eventually died naturally, but the ones that had recently died, and the ones massacred when the war began, were brought back with Death's sacrifice in the Well.

"It is messed up, actually" Jason said "This timeline is confusing"

"I know. It is confusing to me as well. I have no idea how long I've been with Death, how long it has been since the world ended. It is hard to keep track of the time in the Apocalypse" and we laughed.

"it is so good to have you with us again" Alex hugged me "We... thought we would never see you again"

"Why wouldn't you?" I smiled "I would eventually appear here"

"yeah, but... we are here for a while now and you were nowhere to be found. But thankfully, here you are, safe and sound" They both gave me a kiss in the cheeks and I felt like I was that four year old child again. They looked down for a while, seeing the metal replacement of my leg "Well, safe and sound, but not whole" they laughed.

"Aaaah, I love you so, so, so much!" I hugged them and they replied saying they loved me as well "But, uh, I'm curious. Why when I asked about you two no one knew where I could go, but then a mysterious guy says he knows you and suddenly brings me to you?"

They stared at each other for a while, apparently embarrassed, and the words couldn't come from their mouths as they were badly stammering. "Well, sis, we... uh"

And then it hit me "Dont you dare tell me you two are back in our old life?!"

"Sis, we can explain..."

"No!" I started slapping them in their arms "I can't believe that after all of this, all that happened, with a second chance to live and make everything right, you two want to be criminals again!

"but other people..."

"I dont care! You two should do better! Be better!" I stopped slapping them, sighing "We only lived like that because... there was nothing we could do other than what we did. It was that or we would starve. But now, we have a new opportunity. We can do it right! Everyone is starting over. Theres no need to do this again..." I looked at the floor, saddened.

I could feel them looking at me and sighing, hugging me "Hey, little sister... We... We didn't know you would feel like this..."

"I never liked to do what we did. I always wanted a normal life for us, specially after what happened with Alex..." I saw him looking away "It was the way we found to survive, but... I never liked..."

"We... Have only few things to do... Then we swear we will stop" Jason said.

"You have been saying this to me since it started..." I stood up, going out of that place.

It was dark and was starting to get cold, but I didn't mind. What was bothering me was that slight pain in my chest that came back after so long. It kinda made me miss Death. His magic abilities always made the pain fade, and he barely needed to touch me. I could use that for now. Not that it was unbearable, but it would make me feel better.

I'm not gonna lie, it could make me an hypocrite, but I meant what i said to them. What i always wanted was us getting out of that life. Taking all.of our money, going somewhere far, far away and starting over. I enjoyed our missions and all the time I spent with them – or maybe I just enjoyed killing people, who knows? -, but if I ever had the slight chance to stop doing that and live differently, I would. And that was the chance. And that's what I wanted. For us.

A new beginning for our family.

Those days I spent looking for them I would pay attention to the communities I eventually encountered, seeing that everyone was really working to make everything get in the place, and I bet everyone, no matter what they did before the end days, were trying their best to be better. Of course, there will always be the one that wants to take advantage in others, but humanity needed to stick together now to rebuild what it once was.

And to prepare against any threats that may come against us, of course. We were aware that now, Heaven, Hell and the Council itself wanted us out of the game, and so we needed to be equally strong to face this. We weren't alone, of course.

The Horsemen are known for fighting for the right reasons, even though it seemed they were picking a side, in our case they really were, they were only defending what their honour and morals said was the correct thing to do. And they knew, what the Council did to the Human race was unacceptable. Having them backing us up, would be awesome.

But something was feeling strange to me. In that moment, even though I was alone, that my brothers didn't come out with me, I could feel as if something was watching me. As if something lurking in the shadows was ready to jump over me at any moment.

Thanks for the newly acquired reflexes, I was able to dodge aside right in the moment I saw something coming in front of me from the shadows.

So much for staying out of mess, right, Ulthane?

I just didn't know who would want to attack me or anything like that. I was there trying to survive like everyone else, and didn't harm anyone - that I knew of, of course – and also, no one knew me there except for Ulthane and the other makers, so unless one of then started gossiping about me around, there was no reason for anyone to attack me. But, it wasn't someone from there attacking me as I thought. It was something else and, for what I could hear in the far distance, it was not alone in there. But how? That place was supposed to be out of heaven, hell and the Council's eyes. And, most importantly, why?

It was one of those bulky, upside down wings, giant mace wielders blue demons. Yeah, a bit generic, but it was the only thing I could notice once he engaged to attack and i could do nothing but to get on my knees and look away. Having a hell of a journey just to be killed like that. Awesome.

Then the sound of blade cutting the flesh was heard and, thankfully, it was not mine. I could feel the blood spilled on my face and everywhere else, but I couldn't care less. My saviour was no one less than Death himself and a big smile came to my face. "Death! What... what are you doing here?"

"I was expecting to hear a thank you, but that will do" he helped me to stand up. "and I thought you were better than kneeling and just expecting to be killed."

I laughed, nervously "well... I had nothing to defend myself with... Aaand this guy was probably not the only one. I'm gonna check up my brothers" I started to run towards where I was with them minutes ago, death beside me "how the demons found this place, anyway?!"

"I do not know" he answered and remained silent.

I reached my brothers just in time for them to realize what was happening. There was some protocols for invasions, but they were too shocked when they saw me covered in blood "Are you alright?!" They shouted at the same time.

"dont worry. I'm fine. And it seems you two are fine as well" I sighed "Are those demons all around here?" I asked death and he nodded "So isn't better you go fight them off?"

"Surprised you did not say 'we' go fight them off"

"I already told you, i dont have..." but he stopped me while speaking to show that he had brought my sword. My jaw dropped.

"I thought you would do anything to fight" he looked at it "maybe I was wrong" and mentioned to put it back.

"No! No! Give me! I'll help!" i swear i looked like a five year old child when gets candy and my brothers laughed.

"You're just a grown baby" Jason looked at me "Go kick some demon ass, sister"

Following Death like a child about to go on a trip, we started slaying some demons while we walked our way to the group of makers on that community. When there, they told us that not all communities were invaded, and so others departed to help slay those demons.

I still did not know how they managed to get there. Maybe the reflecting pool inside that Maker Tree on Earth and somehow the demons got there before the Horsemen? If it was really that, then we would be ruined. Let's just say that news run really fast in demon mouths, faster than in angels, and that location was now compromised.

Death was still silent, one killing here, one killing there, barely making any effort. "Death. Did they come here by the reflecting pool?"

"Apparently, they had their own portal"

"but how?!" And silence again. "Okay, Death, what are you not telling me?"

"There is nothing to hide." And focused on what he was doing.

He was pretty badass, but that was nothing he would be but badass. All of them, actually, because later on we bumped into the others and, goodness! They were just perfect.
