A/N: This chapter will be dark and disturbing for some so turn away if you can't take it. I had to kind of lowered it.
A golden lion with an half orange mane awoke with an sigh and stretched out his bones. He couldn't believe the year have past so fast and so briefly. It was like yesterday he was playing with his friends and sister, but now he is reaching adulthood.
His mane is developing and after another season he would have a full mane. His birth had some problems with his features so he couldn't have a full mane at this age. He can't wait until those 1 to 2 seasons come, due to his sister and her friends - who's also his friends, always teasing him about not having an full mane and even thought up of a nickname for him, maneless, because having a weak mane for now.
Kion have been told by his still old, yet very alive grandmother, Sarabi, that he had much of his father and grandfather. Kion had felt prideful of that, but she also told him he has some looks of Taka before he've became evil, which made him wrince and wonder at first. But after an talk with his sister and het friends, he was reassured that just because he may look like him slightly doesn't mean he'll be like him.
He couldn't believe that things were always in peace these days. The Outlanders stopped their attacks onto the Pride Lands, his sister was growing up but his father can be quite overprotective of her.
Sure, Kion can understand if an male try to put their paws on her but his father is extremely overprotective, which cause his sister to be rebellious and Kion always found himself getting into the middle of a fight of some sort, but he still sides with his sister because she's not a cub anymore and needs her independence. Even their mother tried to talk to him but their father still won't wavered.
Kion also find himself helping his sister's friends, of course Tiifu and Zuri, who have grown into beautiful lionesses like his sister to become better lionesses.
Really, he feels safe being around his sister and her friends because lionesses be trying to make moves on him. The only ones who don't push it is Tiifu and Zuri, which makes him extremely respectful of them.
Tiifu doesn't even seem to like him, atleast not 'like that', and rather be like a big sister figure instead of an future mate, but he can tell Zuri has an crush on him. However, unlike the others, Zuri knows how to respect her boundaries and can understand if he choose someone else.
Both of their attitudes changed so much since they were cubs. They don't care about getting their claws dirty or fur for that matter now being older. Even Kion got Tiifu out of her fear of the dark that she didn't told even Kiara and Zuri.
Kiara have grown taller and of course older than she was as an cub. She nearly match their mother's height, but still a little bit shorter. Kion now stands a few inches over her, but she has most of their father in her with some features from her mother.
Tiifu has grown beautiful aswell and may stand a little shorter then Kiara in matters of height. But she's still tall, and is like a second sister to Kion and he would protect her if it came down to it. Although he don't admit it, he cares for her in a sisterly manner.
Zuri is around Tiifu's height, maybe one inch shorter, due to being around an month younger out of the three. Her mane tuff from when she was an cub is very short now it's almost not seen at all these days.
Kion forced himself up with an yawn. He headed outside and went to the watering hole to get himself some water. When he arrived back to Pride Rock, the golden lion saw his old friends and thought about how much they changed.
The honey badger, Bunga, has became more daring and fun-loving. He have gotten into so much trouble from when he was younger and now that he reached up to Kiara's shoulder he is tall for an honey badger. He have became more muscular then he was when he was younger.
Beshte is still very gentle like he was when he was younger but have grown and became very giant and nearly matching her father's side. After his father complete his journey to the Circle of Life, Beshte would be the leader.
The egret, Ono, nearly matching the same size as Bunga, but he only reached his stomach and near his chest. He was still short but can fly even higher then he could have when he was younger.
The pretty king cheetah, Fuli, have grown and matched Kiara, Tiifu, and Zuri's size. She was always pretty like the said three; but just came even more pretty and despite her still smart attitude, she have became very nice and respectful and an aid to Kion.
"Hey guys," Kion greeted respectfully.
They all returned the greeting in their own ways. Kion walked up and gave each an nuzzle respectfully, since they have stayed supportive. Seasons have change and they all grown.
"So, Kn, are we off today?" Bunga wondered.
Kion nodded. "I think so, but I think an few lionesses are training before Kiara's big hunt." He says, a smile coming onto his face. He was eager to see his sister getting her first hunt and prove their father wrong.
"So have you thought about an future mate?" Fuli teased, shooting an smirk towards the golden lion.
The golden lion only groaned to that. He knew his friends like to tease him a lot due to so many eyes and glances shot the golden prince. "Shut up. Why do no one ever give me an break about mating?" He asked rolling his eyes with annoyance.
"'Fraid not," Bunga said, letting out an cheeky smile. "Why don't you give Zuri an try? You can see she clearly likes you."
Kion didn't say anything to that for the next minute. He had thought about her. Beside Bunga, she was like his second best friend because she'd helped him after the death of his friend two years ago. Still, his death hunted him to this day.
He rolled his eyes as he heard the sound of someone clearing their throat behind him. Suddenly, he was met by someone throwing their paws around him, of course in a friendly way.
"Hey, Tiifu," Kion greeted, recognizing the creamish tan paw of Tiifu. She is like a big sister figure to him and likes to do the same welcoming to Kion. "What's you up to?" Kion raised an eyebrow to the lioness on his back.
"Planning to go on my first tracking skill," Tiifu says joyfully. "I have managed to sneak up on you."
Kion rolled his eyes. "Oh, you know fullwell, I allowed you." Kion said smirking slightly, as she climbed off his back. He gave her an soft nuzzle. "I'm sure in a month time, you will be ready for your first hunt."
"Oh, I'm going to be a good hunter," Tiifu says confidently returning the nuzzle to the golden lion.
Noticing his sister and his other friend, Zuri, creeping out the cave. "Was she this excited as you are?" Kion questioned to his flustered looking sister. Atleast Zuri ain't tracking or hunting today. He stared at her and allow an blush to come and quickly looked away.
"Do I look excited to you?!" Kiara shouted.
"Yeah," Kion smiled softly. "You're very different today." Kiara podded over and whacked her little brother on the head, making him laugh slightly harder, having taking harder whacks.
"It remind me of that time when Makini become Rafiki's new apprentice." Bunga remarked.
"No!" The four lions and the entire Lion Guard shouted, remembering that song from Makini that day. But it was too late for the honey badger started singing.
"Bunga! Don't you dare!" Kion snarled.
"Or I will hit you!" Fuli added.
Bunga: For now is my time
Today is my day
I'm finally here
And nothing can stay in my way
I've made it this far
All doubts washed away
My path is clear
And today is my...
Kion whacked him on the head before he continued the cringy song and knocked him out. He didn't wanted to remembered that cringy song from an very certain young mandrill who singed that.
None of them couldn't have thank Kion more. "Thank you so much, Kion," Kiara breathed in a sigh of relief. That song was stuck in her head for weeks after. "I hated when she sang that song back then."
"Yeah, that song gone on my nerves," Zuri agreed, breathing in her sigh of relief as well remembering that she, Kiara, and Tiifu had to continue to cover their ears due to that.
"Anyways, I gotta get going." Tiifu said, smiling shyly. "I got to get tracking."
"Be careful," Kion warned. "I feel like something is going to happen." He whispered lowly, so none of them could hear him.
"I will," Tiifu said after giving Kiara and Zuri nuzzles. She exchanged Kion a friendly nuzzle before giving her friends an glance. "I will be back by noon so I can see your hunt, Kiara."
Kiara nodded, sitting along with Kion and Zuri. All had knew that Tiifu wanted to get into the hunting party by the time she reach past adulthood. She wanted to go on her first hunt by next mouth, nearing the dry season.
Zuri decided to wait a litte longer because she felt like she wasn't ready. It wasn't even her who got into hunting herself, it was Kion who helped her into that by even showing some pouncing positions.
Soon, Tiifu was off, and Kion shot an glance to his Guard. Seeing his concern look, Zuri was the first to ask. "What's wrong Kion?"
"Nothing," Kion replied shaking his head. How can anything happened? She was a young lioness. If she gets attack, she will know what to do and how to fight. Plus, she ain't going to be there for long.
"Well, Kion," Bunga chimed up. "I'm going to eat some termites in the den."
Fuli wrinkled her nose at Bunga in absolute disgust. "I'm going to take a morning run." Fuli told him. "Then I'll be at the den."
"I would go talk to my dad then I will be at the den," Beshte said.
"I will take a fly around." Ono states.
Kion nodded. "Ok, guys," He deduced. Usually, they would take patrol at this time but today is a busy day for them and they didn't wanted to delay Kiara's hunt since she's worried enough as it is.
With that, the entire Lion Guard disbanded to go on their activates. Kion kept glancing out to the Kingdom, into the direction Tiifu had just went. Kion noticed Kiara and Zuri looking at him.
"Ok, what's wrong?" Zuri asked.
"Nothing," Kion responded simply.
"Well, then why do you keep putting that face up?" Kiara teased.
"Because I want to get away from you two," Kion teased back, raising an eyebrow at his sister. "Dealing with you three is enough but when I'm away from you two I am good."
"Nice try," Zuri giggled. "You can't get away from us that easily."
"Unfortunate," Kion states, placing on a smile. "Can I take a walk now? Thanks." He then walked off.
"Hold up, we're coming with you," Kiara announced.
After a few minutes with them catching up to him, the three came a stopped when they saw the very old yet wise Sarabi. "Hi, grandma," Kion says softly and affectionately, nuzzling against her. "Planning to go out?"
"Yeah," Sarabi smiled. "Though your father is going to kill me if I go too far."
Kion shared an laugh with his grandmother at the thought of his father just yelling at her. "Well, me, Kiara, and Zuri is going to go out. Want to come?" He asked.
"Nah, I want to go to a watering hole and shouldn't stand in the way of you and your sister, and mate." She said, smirking between Kion and Zuri.
"Grandma!" Kion yelled, blushing at that as did Zuri. Kiara only laughed at that as Sarabi turned around and left, with the three lions taking their walks.
Across the Pride Lands, in the Outlands, a group of hyenas rested. One hyena, a male; a very much older and taller from when he was a cub, Janja, rested against an giant ledge.
For the next months, he haven't been attacking the Pride Lands because Kion's roar is more powerful then ever and he would have to think of a new plan to defeat the lions in the Pride Lands and take Simba's throne.
"Just want to go into that Pride Lands and have something to eat," Janja grumbled. "I'm starving." Just then, growling was heard. "Boys!" Janja alerted his still resting clan, knowing an potential enemy and threat was nearby.
To that, his entire clan woke up and glance at their leader. "What's up, Janja?" His brother, who also nearly matched his height now, Chungu, asked.
"I think there is a threat," Janja said.
Another growl was heard that sound the same as it did before. "Oh, you got that right, hyena." As the mysterious voice said that, a brown-coated lion with red eyes jumped down and landed infront of the hyena.
Looking away nervously, he saw hyenas; much more then he had in his clans glaring down at them. "Nuka, what's this about?" the bemused hyena questioned. "We haven't done anything to you.
To that, Nuka laughed crooked. "I'm afraid that you've to be disposed of."
Seeing they were outnumbered, Janja bravely shove dirt into the brown-coated lion's face not wanting his entire clan die. At that instant, he was glad he've study Jasiri's moves in battle. "Come on!" He demands.
His hyenas were behind him, running with him. The brown-coated lion begin to give chase with the much other hyenas following. He have to get to the Pride Lands so he can just beg for Kion to help them and he would have to due to being leader of the Lion Guard.
A young tan creamish lioness scrolled through the land, practicing her tracking skills, and digging her claws against the ground. She remembered that time when she had to accompany Kiara into tracking with Kion and Fuli.
Hearing sounds behind her, Tiifu flipped around to see a very familiar lioness coming out of the bush. "Hey, Sarabi," she greeted with an smile on her face at the former Queen.
Her mother had told her a lot when she was alive before she with Zuri's mother have completed their Journey of the Circle of Life. It was a shame that her and her best friend's mother, along with a few others have died from that Rogue Pride.
What was weird is that Kion leaded many of the cubs out. That battle was horrible but yet Kion managed to defend them along with his Guard and actually manage to protect the future Queen. Tiifu was sure that had Kion not been there, they would have died since Kion have manage to take out the enemy cubs of leopards.
"Hi, my dear," Sarabi greeted back respectfully, bowing down to her since she is young and wanted to be respectful.
Tiifu grinned at the long ago queen. "I'm trying my tracking skills." She said leaping up. "I am going to be a pouncer, pouncer, so I can be the first who finally pins Kion."
As she said, rustling was heard in the grass and alerted the two. Cautiously, Tiifu turned only to be pinned by someone and pushed down harshly. "Giza!" She wheezed out weakily. "What are you doing?!"
"Getting business done," the brown-coated lion simply replied sickly. Trying to stand and run off, Tiifu found herself blocked by a bunch of lionesses.
Giza jumped to Sarabi before she can even reacted. Without mercy, she slice her throat and glance down at her. "You were wise but foolish, Sarabi." He said as she fallen down dead.
"No! Sarabi!" Tiifu swinged away at Giza but he lunged himself at her and barely manage to pin her. "Get the hell off of me!" Tiifu hacked away at him but he was barely affected by this. Tiifu can see him glancing at her sacred part of her body. "No!"
"I'm afraid you gave me no choice," Giza hissed. He bended down to her body and Tiifu is struggling and tried to fight against him but he had her pin well by her shoulders.
She can feel her face converting from one of worried and fear to complete pain and agony and he didn't stop, despite her cries and pleads for him to.
Giza gotten off of her after an hour. He have done many to her and now is finally finished. Feeling pain in her entire body, she watched as he approached and lick her on the chin.
"Pleasure mating with you, my dear," Giza whispered. "Now boys dragged her back to Pride Rock and also take care of the former Queen." He turned to the hyenas when he gave this order and was soon off.
A ear piercing roar was heard. A paw met one of the hyenas, with a golden lion is currently hacking away at them madly and with no hesitation. Four hyenas were already dead. Others were gravey and permanently injured.
He was using his claws, hacking away at the small group of the hyenas. None stood an chance, not even the ones who tried to regain the momentum. The golden lion jumped on top of the last one and bitten into his neck but yet didn't kill him.
The golden lion place the wounded lion down. "What is the meaning of this?!" He demanded, his eyes glaring down to the hyena.
"It was ou-our boss fr-from the Mountain Pride!" The hyena squealed nervously. "He told our momentary boss to rape her and kill the former Queen of Pride Rock. Please don't k-kill me, Prince Kion!"
"You should have thought of that before hurting my friend and killing my grandmother," Kion snarled, his teeth baring down. "You'll die." The golden lion then raise his claw and brought it down, slashing his neck making the hyena choke out gasps and struggle to live, but he didn't breathed no more.
The golden lion turned to the hurt lioness who was being comforted by his sister and his friend. "Tiifu, who do this?" Kion questioned, his eyes still amber with pure rage.
"G-Giza! He raped me!" Tiifu cried.
A second later, Kion was off knowing Giza couldn't gotten far. He use his sniffing and tracking skills to hunt the lion down. He would kill that lion this day since he didn't need him alive.
"Kion!" an annoying voice squealed from above.
Kion looked up to see his father's and eventually his sister's majordomo. "What is it, Zazu?" Kion demands. He didn't want to be rude but his friend just got hurt and his grandmother is dead and he wanted his revenge.
Zazu looked flabbergasted letting Kion know it was serious. "A bunch of hyenas are in the Pride Lands! Janja's clan and a different type of clan, that I haven't seen for-"
"Can we just stay with the point?!" Kion hissed, his teeth bared at the hornbill making him fly higher out of fear to avoid an very angry Kion. "Is Janja attacking the herds?!"
"No, Janja's the one being attack!" Zazu yelled towards him.
Kion narrowed his eyes at that. One part of him told him to go and save Janja and his clan, but the other wanted his pure revenge for Giza dare hurting one of his friend and killing his grandmother. "Does my dad know?" He asked.
"Yes, I came to him before finding you." Zazu told him.
"Very well," Kion says. "Get my Guard and try and save Janja's clan, I guess." He commanded. Kion never like the idea of negotiating with Outlanders, beside Jasiri who clearly respected the Circle of Life and is pure unlike the others. But when one is in need, the Pride Landers always save them.
Zazu gave an bow and nod before flying off. Kion watched as he disappeared, before turning back and begin walking into a dark place of the Pride Lands.
Nothing frightened him so he wasn't afraid nor frightened. Plus, he doesn't flinched as much. Kion got into an pouncing position; he felt Giza's scent getting stronger and stronger each walked down.
Suddenly, someone jumped from an random area and pinned Kion down. The mysterious form was trying to bitten away at the golden prince's neck but Kion manage to keep him away.
He send an harsh attack towards their eyes and neck. Kion then use his legs to kicked the lion off of him. Growling and forcing himself up, Kion glared at a certain dark tan lion.
"Giza! I will kill you!" Kion snarled.
The dark brown-coated lion laughed. "How is Tiifu and your pathetic grandmother? It was pleasurable for my part!" He seems to have the eyes of a craze man.
Kion knew Giza couldn't have thought up of this whole plot. He may have to leave the Pride Lands and go to the Mountain Pride to find the Mastermind of this and confront them and kill them!
The golden lion lunged forward and hacked away at Giza who grunt and gasp. As Kion gotten older, he've gotten stronger. No wonder did he have the eye of each young lioness.
Kion bitten down against his shoulder, trying to weakened him. He see he is trying to use a similar move to how he beaten him two years ago and he parried and whack his head with his paw.
Barely even dazed, Kion decided to use a different move and swing wildly away at his nose, before slashing his shoulder and back very harsh. Kion hooked onto towards his ear and slammed him down.
Stunned, Giza was lifted by the young golden lion. Kion didn't even give him an chance to talk, all he can do is give pleading eyes. The Prince however had none of it and bold his paws up into a fist.
He lunged himself at his neck. "Why did you hurt her and kill my grandmother?! Tell me right now!!!" He demanded, softing his grip though still hold himself up.
"The on-e who I hav-have helped in the Mountain Pride..." Giza wheezed out.
"Help?!"
"Yes, my apologies," he said weakly.
Out of pure rage at what he had done, Kion slashed his neck and cracked his neck with his paws and threw him against the ground harshly. Yet, the prince didn't care and felt satisfaction. "Apology accepted, Giza," Kion said, his eyes glaring.
Then he remember what Zazu had told him about! He have to get back to Pride Rock! And check to see if his friends and family is alright! Kion quickly scurried to his paws and begin to run back to Pride Rock!
