Zodiac-One, Two, Three, and Four went off to deal with the reinforcements. They headed towards the entrance onto the eighth floor and prepared to engage the Covenant as they would try to come through the other entrance, creating a fatal funnel. The Jirheili in charge sent the Grunts first, as was typical. The Grunts would all fall from a combined automatic fire from Zodiac's One, Two, Three, and Four. The Jirheili came next, firing their Plasma Repeaters and Type-100 Carbines at the Spartans. The Spartans shields begin to fall fast, but the most of the new creatures' shields were holding steady. The Spartans took to throwing both plasma and spike grenades at the Covenant, managing to kill a couple of Jirheili with a combination of explosives and concentrated small arms fire. Though as they killed the ones with depleted shields, more appeared to take their place.
The Spartans began to fall back and reload their weapons on the way. One Jirheili lunges forwards and grabs Zodiac-Four, impaling him with his energy sword, but not before Four killed the Jirheili by stabbing it in the head. Getting up, he picked up the dead Jirheili's energy sword and killed two more in a delaying action before the rest gang up on him and kill him. Zodiac-Two set a mine, hoping that would take out a couple of the new creatures, which it does. The other members of Zodiac team had already taken out the Covenant soldiers guarding the technicians and had escorted them back to the control center. There the technicians began working on getting the towers back online. Zodiacs One, Two, and Three had all reloaded when a Jirheili charged them, taking their combine firepower to drop it. Two more came at them and once again it took the combine firepower of all three of them to drop the two. That left six more Jirheili and they knew that the three Spartans were now out of ammo. The Jirheili ignites their energy swords and charge and the Spartans draw their combat knives as Zodiac-One grabbed a fire axe from the wall. The Jirheili killed Zodiacs Two and Three but at the cost of two fallen Jirheili. Zodiac-One was left the last man standing defending the hallway. Zodiac-One killed two more in hand-to-hand fighting, the Jirheili having no real defense against an angry Spartan with an axe. Even though the Jirheili were stronger than Brutes, most of Spartan training was against stronger opponents, so Zodiac-One had the upper hand.
As the two remaining Jirheili charge he dodges the first as the second tackles him. Using his relatively small size to his advantage, Zodiac One managed to kill the Jirheili who had him pin. The second Jirheili swiped at him as he stood up, cutting through his armor and drawing blood before the Jirheili kicked him over some sandbags. However, before the Jirheili could close to finish him off, a Jirheili in silver armor stepped forward and began issuing commands to a mixture of Sangheili and Jiralhanae reinforcements. Once finished issuing his commands he looked over at where Zodiac One was just getting onto his feet and he ignited the two energy swords in his hands. The other Jirheili disarmed its energy sword and headed with the reinforcements to deal with the other Spartans. Zodiac-One listened to the sound of gun and plasma fire echo through the halls before all went silent after a scream from a dying Jirheili. Zodiac-One had been watching the Jirheili in silver armor for an attack, but as the quiet settled in he simply raised his energy sword and saluted the Spartan before heading back to the landing pads to be extracted by a waiting Phantom. The Phantom quickly headed for space to avoid being shot down when the defense towers came online. The Covenant frigate that had been in orbit of the city was already outside of the effective range of the defense towers by the time they came online, but many of the smaller craft: Phantoms, Sprits, Banshees, Seraphs, and some heavy drop ships didn't make it. Zodiac-Seven came up to their captain who had slumped down against a steal I-beam. He inserted a can of biofoam into his suit where he had been sliced to fill the up wound. Zodiac-One know they had to hold the Central Defensive Tower until the main push could arrive. As they started to prepare defenses positions a radio message came over the coms.
"Zodiac-One, this was Pelican Lima-Five, I've got a pelican load of ODST's for you," the pilot told him.
"How did you manage to get through the AA batteries?"
"We use the section that was down. Plus, we had some help from a flight of Broadswords," The pilot responded as he landed his pelican at one of the Defense Towers' pads and twelve ODSTs climbed out and they begun to prepare for the inevitable Covenant counterattack.
Three minutes before the Covenant attack on the Parliament, on board the Brave New World the crew was watching their screens while the captain was looking at a map on the hologram table.
"Sir, we had communications with Lord Hood," Lieutenant Junior Grade Neil Hakket told the captain as the screen popped up.
"Captain Takenov what's your status?" Lord Hood asked.
"Sir, we are holding position near an English coastal city waiting for their anti-air batteries to be silenced. I've lost contact with Spartan-118 and the units he was leading. Zodiac team has managed to get four of the Covenant anti-air batteries knocked out. Marines and Army forces are still pushing through the city to link up with units at the Parliament building and the train station and then they'll push against the Covenant near the palace. I have units on the ground repairing the bridge that Spartan-118 destroyed in order to destroy some Scarabs. There are Marines and Army soldiers in Warthogs, tanks and Mammoth's waiting for the bridge to be repaired and then they'll hit the Covenant flanks," Captain Takenov told Lord Hood. "Our last transmission from Spartan-118 said that they were going into the maintenance shaft of the subway system."
"Don't worry about them captain. They wouldn't miss a good fight," Lord Hood replied. "Have the naval engineers been attacked by the Covenant yet?"
"Only a handful of Grunts and a few Brutes but their Marine protectors took care of them. We also recovered some bodies of a new types of Covenant species, our scientists on board are doing research on them and their armor and shields."
"Captain, the Covenant ship was leaving London its heading straight towards us!" Lieutenant Junior Lana Tarkhem said.
"Lieutenant Tarkhem, I want you to sound battle stations."
"Aye ma'am." she said. Red lights flash followed by a siren and the bridge doors are sealed shut.
"Lord Hood, I'll be in touch,' Captain Takenov said.
"Good luck Captain Takenov," he said. Captain Takenov knew the Covenant ship was a frigate and soon the sleek, whale-like Frigate appeared on the screen.
"Ensign Garnet, get us a firing solution."
"Aye ma'am, MAC guns are still hot." The Covenant ship was heading right towards the UNSC Brave New World. Red molts of light appeared along the frigate. "They're getting ready to fire Captain." The red glow became one solid band. "Keep moving at this speed Tarkhem."
"Aye ma'am," she said.
"We have a firing solution."
"Fire!" Thumps echoed throughout the Brave New World. On the view screen two white lines streaked towards the Covenant frigate as the Covenant ship fired.
"Hold this course."
"Aye ma'am," Tarkhem replied.
"MAC round striking in three," Ensign Tiara Garnet announced. "two…one." The frigate's shield flickered and died as the MAC round struck it and the Brave New World was already working to fire its second shot.
"Ma'am, Plasma collision in five seconds!"
"Emergency thrusters to port, NOW!" A loud bang echoed throughout the ship as the thrusters fired and sent the ship hard to the left. Takenov gripped her command chair tightly as the Brave New World seemed to almost roll.
"Arm Archer Pods B and prepare to fire."
"Aye, aye Captain!" the bridge crew replied. Two plasma torpedoes appeared on the screen, slowly turning and continued to track them. The move buying them a few extra seconds.
"Ma'am, they're preparing to fire again!" Garnet called out. "MAC guns charged," Captain Takenov waited. "MAC's ready to fire."
"Fire! Let's blast these mother fuckers out of the sky!" Takenov shouted before the Brave New World fired. The MAC round leaving the ship with a shudder guts the Covenant frigate, leaving the Archer missiles to finish the Covenant Frigate off as the Brave New World's shields took the plasma torpedoes hits and held. The ruins of the destroyed Covenant frigate crashed down into a farmer's field and two flights of Pelicans were launched from the Brave New World to take a look at the crashed ship as Captain Takenov sent a brief message to Alamo 1 informing them of their victory.
Sergeant Major Johnson and his team were on their way to deal with the Tyrant they were assigned too.
"These things will never fool the Covenant." Merry said while driving one of the captured Wraith Tanks.
"Merry, have a little faith," Staff Sergeant Greene said. No other soldier felt like saying anything because they know that the sergeant would tell them to shut the fuck up. They continued on and soon came within sight of the Tyrant and everyone was waiting for Johnson to begin his attack. He did so by opening fire on the Wraiths guarding the Tyrant, the other captured Wraiths and a Locust followed Johnson's lead. Johnson and two other veterans from the First Human-Covenant War popped the hatch on their Wraiths and charge into the Tyrant to eliminate any Covenant strugglers.
"Hell, this was fucking easy." One of the troopers said as they regrouped after the fight. Sergeant Major Johnson decided to head towards the train station next, so they all get back into their capture Covenant vehicles and proceeded towards the train station. On the way back, Johnson heard that the Defense Tower network around London was back online and that the Covenant Frigate has been destroyed by the UNSC Brave New World.
Brigadier General Holland, Urban Holland's older brother, was listing to the reports coming in as he knew that the reinforcements were still on their way. The plan he and the other officers came up with was working. The Covenant were heading to attack the UNSC forces at the Parliament building and the train station while UNSC forces were going to attack the Covenant troops that were keeping the reinforcements from progressing further into the city. Brigadier General Holland, along with everybody else, were glad to hear that the Covenant Frigate had been destroyed. He knew however, that the Covenant would try at all costs to try and take out the Central Defensive tower now since it was keeping all of their Phantoms and other drop ships grounded. Holland was up on the rooftop waiting for the Covenant to show up and attack. The first signs of the incoming Covenant attack were some Ghost that were quickly dealt with. The Covenant sent five hundred soldiers to attack the Parliament building. The force consisted of Brutes, Jirheili, Hunters, Titians, Grunts, Jackals, Skirmishers, and three Wraiths, but they were all dealt with as the Marines arrived from their push through the city. Holland knew that with the Defense Towers online the Covenant had lost the vital air superiority over the city. Boarding a Warthog, he gave the order to head towards the train station; leaving two hundred UNSC soldiers behind to keep the Parliament building secure.
Major Mason was looking over his men's positions. They had placed roadblocks on all roadways leading to the train station and thanks to the arrival of Pelicans carrying six Scorpion tanks, he knew they'll be able to hold their position. The Train Station had four avenues of approach and all of them where covered. The Jiralhanae Chieftain soon ordered his troops forward and the first down the road were the Choppers and Ghosts supported by Wraiths. The Covenant vehicles were obliterated before they could cause any serious damage and the destroyed vehicles became additional roadblocks, forcing the Brute Captain to order a retreat of his vehicles. Pelican Gunships, Falcons, and Hornets destroyed the vehicles as they tried to flee carnage. Major Mason did have some casualties, but nothing like the Covenant. The Brute Captain soon followed up with his infantry, forcing them to climb over the ruins of their own vehicles to reach the UNSC positions. Many of the Covenant were killed by UNSC troopers in the adjacent buildings before they even reached the wreckage. The Hornets and Falcons were flying back and forth, blasting away at the Covenant as well. Several Covenant soldiers with Fuel Rod Cannons and Plasma Launchers tried in vain to shoot them down. It was then that the Brute Chieftain sent in his Anti-Air Wraiths to deal with the UNSC aircraft. Several Falcons and Hornets were blown out of the sky, despite destroyed half of the Anti-Air Wraiths. Once the Hornets and Falcons headed to a safe area away from any anti-aircraft fire the Wraiths began lobbing plasma at the UNSC positions, with some even hit the roadblocks to create breech points.
Most of the Covenant was killed as they tried climbing over the roadblock that the UNSC had made from destroying the Covenant vehicles, or as they tried coming through the breeches the Wraiths made. Jackal snipers were trying to get into a position to kill the UNSC troops, but as soon as they opened fire the UNSC snipers started to run counter-sniper mission and killing the Jackals. Private Allen looked through his scope for more targets after cutting down several Jackal snipers as they tried to rush across the streets to find better cover. His spotter was calling out targets, allowing him to down several Brutes who were moving closer to the roadblocks. Allen was armed with the SBK-100D-35A Sniper Rifle. It has a magazine capacity of twenty rounds and can punch clean through the shields of any Sangheili, Kig-Yar, or Jiralhanae in power armor with one shot as well as kill Hunters in two shots. He had already killed two Hunters along with dozens of Grunts, Jackals, and Brutes. Both him and his spotter, along with two other Army sniper teams, were on top of the Train Station with a Scythe Anti-Aircraft gun. Major Mason jumped into a gunners' position of a Gausshog where the Covenant was hitting hard after the original gunner was shot off. He fired the Gauss Cannon as fast as he can, the sound of it firing being lost in the roar of the Scorpions firing along with the other Warthog's, the small-arms and the whoosh of the rockets. Sergeant Major Johnson and his men could see the Wraiths firing on the train station, so they opened fire on them and the Covenant troops massing for the next attack from behind. Once everything was dead, Sergeant Major Johnson told his men to abandon the Covenant vehicles and rig them to explode. Once they finished setting the charges, they headed out to the train station along Third Avenue. The attack on Third Avenue was over when they arrived, so Sergeant Major Johnson and his team put several of the Covenant wounded out of their misery. The battle lasted for an hour and with most of the Covenant dead or dying, the Brute Chieftain ordered a retreat back to the area around the Palace. The attack on the Central Defense Tower was also a disaster for the Covvies, forcing the Covenant infantry to fall back to Buckingham Palace as UNSC reinforcements arrived at the train station from the Parliament and from outside the city. Brigadier General Holland and the commander of the UNSC Marine Corps that was sent in were discussing their next plan of attack. Brigadier General Holland knows that there were two Tyrants still need to be taken out before UNSC Brave New World can hover above the city.
While everything was going on topside Colonel Heath-118 and the survivors from the deadly turn of events on the bridge were making their way through the subway tunnel towards one of the exits. They heard the mines detonate twenty-four minutes after they left that area. A swarm of Drones attacked them. They fired back at the Drones. A dozen Needlers hit a Marine and the Needlers explode and another Marine was wounded. "Chief I'm going to check back the way we came you deal with these buggers and keep heading to one of the subways exits. I'll catch up to you." The Chief nods and continues to fire his MA5B Assault Rifle at the buggers. The Colonel heads back down the subway tunnel. This subway tunnel used to be a fallout shelter back during the Cold War and radio communications were spotting. He peeks around a corner and sees a dozen Grunts and six of those new creatures that April has yet to identify. Heath kind of wish Cortana was with the Chief, but Lord Hood needed her at Alamo 1 for now, but April was Cortana's twin sister, but he knows the Master Chief was messing Cortana even though he wants show it. He reloads his MA5D Assault Rifle ninety-eight rounds to deal with the Grunts and those new creatures who shields were as strong has his, but Covenant weaponry seem to be enough to bring down those shields. So instead of using his assault rifle to deal with the Grunts he's going to let them come around the corner one by one and kill them with his bare hands and with his combat knife. An Unggoy Minor (orange armor) was the first to come around the corner and the Colonel's combat knife goes into the Unggoy's skull. One by one the Colonel kills the Grunts until only the Jirheili were left by that time the Colonel has acquired plasma grenades, a flame grenade, Needlers, and plasma pistols. He would use the Needlers to deal with Jirheili first. He pops out from behind the corner and was face to face with a Jirheili. The Jirheili knocks the Colonel a few feet back the weapons he had were scatter around. The Jirheili said something in Sangheili. The rest of the Jirheili stood their ground. The one that knocked the Colonel to the ground draws his energy sword and drops it. The Jirheili gave a command in Sangheili and the rest drop their weapons. The one in silver/black armor speaks to the Colonel in plain English. "Demon, we fight with honor you and the other Demons were worthy adversaries and you had earned the right to fight us with no weapons or shields like we do with our brethren when they prove themselves true warriors." He watched as the Jirheili shields drop. So these creatures had honor similar to the Sangheili, the Colonel decides to show them too that he has honor as well.
"April deactivates shields," he said to her.
"Were you crazy?"
"Do it lets show them what years of training and fighting has taught us." She does as he asked her. "I'm ready," he told the silver/black armor creature. He makes a motion with his head and the Colonel guess was one of the lower ranking creatures because of his blue and black armor came at him. The Jirheili punches at the Colonel, but the Colonel blocks his punch. He gave a punch of his own, but the creature blocks it and squeezes. The Colonel now knows that these creatures were strong. He uses the creatures' own weight against him and flip him, the Colonel gets behind him with a rear naked choke and breaks the creatures neck with very little effort. Another lower ranking attacks him. The Colonel kicks the creature in the face almost breaking its neck, this cause the Jirheili to get mad and pick up a Needler, but the silver/black Jirheili stabs his fellow Jirheili in the back with an energy sword. He made a snarl. They all understand that anyone uses a weapon during the fight they'll get the same treatment. Two attack the Colonel at the same time. He surprises them with his skills in hand-to-hand they to fall. The fifth Jirheili was a skill fighter, but in the end the Colonel manages to deliver the knockout blow. The last Jirheili and the Colonel go toe to toe they were fighting like two professional UFC fighters. The Jirheili may be stronger, but they don't have the skills as the Sangheili. The Colonel does a superman punch almost knocking the silver/black Jirheili out. Suddenly six Jiralhanae enter the fray firing Spikers and Plasma Repeaters at both. April already reactivated the Colonel's shields when his motion tractor picked up the hostiles, but she was surprise to see the Colonel shield the Jirheili from fire until he reactivates his own shields. They look at one another and attacked the six Jiralhanae with energy swords. Once all the Jiralhanae were defeated they look at one another. "Shall we finish what we started?"
"Not today Demon," the silver/black Jirheili said to him. The Jirheili salutes him and leaves. Spartan-118 heads back to join the others. The Master Chief and the others were already at one of the exits from the subway tunnel.
"Did you win Heath?" John asked him.
"What were you talking about Master Chief?"
"The blood on your armor," Master Chief asked.
"Yes, Chief I won," he answers. The Master Chief already knew what happen because April informed him, and the Colonel knows he knows. "Let's go see what's waiting outside Chief."
"After you sir," he answers. Colonel Heath-118 unslings his assault rifle and head towards the exit followed by four ODSTs. Heath exits from the first train station nearest to the bridge and discovered the area was filled with Covenant. The Covenant fired on the Demon and he hurries back down shouting to the ODSTs that the Covenant was out there. Several packs Jiralhanae leading Unggoy and Kig-Yar came after him. An ODST who was slow to fallback was hit in the back with a Brute Captain's Gravity Hammer breaking the young Marines back. Heath throws a plasma grenade onto one Brute which detonates taking the Brute and another Brute with him. Another ODST fires a three-round burst into another Brutes head before Spikes and plasma hits him. The ODST rolls down the steps. Heath told the other ODSTs to not to stop and fire back but to join with the others. Major Rhodes and Lieutenant Jack were waiting for them at another set of stairs. As soon as the Covenant showed them Major Rhodes and Lieutenant Jack fired their M41 Rocket Launchers at the Covies. They reloaded and fired again then fall back. They slowed the Covenant down. "Chief let's go to the next train station." They head towards the next train station hoping that the Covenant was not there too. "April, why were the Covenant there?" John asked.
"The Covenant was setting a trap for the UNSC soldiers coming across the bridge." April told them.
"Shit, we can't let those soldiers get thrash by the Covenant," Colonel Heath-118 said. They head back to the train station where the Covenant has setup the ambush. Heath sends Lucy ahead along with Tom to see if any Covenant was on the platform. She looks around a corner and sees several Brutes and Jackals on the platform. She looks at Tom. He nods his head. They hit the Covenant on the platform first with grenades and then with their assault rifles when the others heard gunfire they came running. The Colonel looks from Tom and Lucy to the dead Covenant. "Nice job," Heath said to them.
"Thank you, sir," they replied.
"Let's go finish the Covenant off!" They get onto the platform. They head up the stairs and find the next landing crawling with Covies mostly Grunts, a few Jackals with orange shields and one Jirheili which Heath recognized as the one he faced in the tunnel. The Jirheili looks at the Spartan and activates his cloak. The Spartans and the UNSC soldiers open up on the Covenant SOBs. The Grunts didn't stand a chance, neither did the Jackals. Any Grunts who started to flee the Spartans caught up to them and use their combat knifes to kill the Unggoy and Kig-Yar different ways. Heath rounds a corner checking underneath the stairs when the Jirheili decloaked and grabbed the Colonel by the throat and pins him against the wall. April sends a warning to the Chief. However, the Jirheili releases him. The Master Chief, Tom, and Lucy appeared aiming at the Jirheili. Tom was holding and M29 Rocket Launcher. "Who were you?" Master Chief asked.
"We were the Jirheili we were hybrids between the Jiralhanae and the Sangheili. I am one of the Zealot class. You Demons were worthy adversaries and I salute you." The Zealot Jirheili decides to leave. Tom, Lucy, and the Master Chief tried to stop him. Their rounds just hit its shields. The Zealot Jirheili just push by them and disappeared. They search for possible contacts but there aren't any under the Colonel's orders they continue onto the surface. They encounter a couple of Brutes but nothing a couple of Plasma Grenades couldn't handle. Colonel Heath-118 decides that it's best for the Spartans to start the party off with a bang. Heath takes an M29 from an ODST. He told the rest of them to follow after they hear four rocket detonations. The Spartans go outside. Heath fires two rockets at the first two Wraiths he sees he didn't wait to find out if they hit their target, he fires the last two rockets at several Shades turning to fire on them. Lucy destroys several Shades and a group of Jackals forming a shield formation. Marines, Army, and Special Forces came charging out of the train station catching several Brutes off guard that where firing on the Spartans. The battle only lasted a couple of minutes. He sees the UNSC Brave New World approaching the city. The UNSC soldiers from the bridge arrived at their position.
"Spartan-118," a young hot lieutenant said to him and saluting. Spartan-118 and the Master Chief-117 return the salute.
"Yes, who were you trooper?"
"Lieutenant Alex Ackerson, my father died on Mars."
"Yes, I knew Colonel Ackerson; he was a brave soldier. I appreciate you getting here so soon. Did the Covenant give you a hard time crossing the bridge?"
"No, sir, and I thank you for taking care of them for us."
"So, Lieutenant Ackerson, were you ready to kill some more Covenant?"
"Hell, Yeah sir," she said.
"Well let's saddle up." She goes over to the Master Chief.
"It's an honor to meet you Chief," she said to him. She held out her hand, the Chief shakes her hand. The Mammoth deploys a couple of Warthogs and a mongoose. Heath gets in the gunner seat, while the Chief takes the driver seat while Major Rhodes takes the passenger seat. Tom and Lucy get into the other Warthog while a Marine takes the gun. The rest board the Mammoth. They head onto the central train station. April sends a coded message to the Brave New Worlds AI.
Three squadrons of Broadswords launch from the UNSC Air Base in the countryside of the United Kingdom. They had one objective neutralize the last remaining Tyrants so the UNSC Brave New World can hover above the city and can show the Covenant infantry some UNSC firepower. The Broadswords came in low and start to evade Anti-Aircraft fire. They get a lock onto the Tyrants and fired. The Tyrants were neutralized. The Broadswords leader radios the Brave New World and told him the Tyrants were down. The Brave New World enters the city. "Launch a squadron of Pelicans and Falcons had them take Buckingham Palace back from the Covenant. Find any survivors. Send down Fire team Blood to assist UNSC forces on the ground." Captain Bryana Takenov told his second in command Lieutenant Commander Watson Crick.
"Aye, aye sir," Lieutenant Commander Crick replied. Pelicans and Falcons were launched. All of a sudden something hits the Brave New World and the shields drop to 50%.
"What the hell hit us?" Captain Takenov asked. "Did a Covenant ship in orbit fire on us?"
"No sir, that shot came from the city," Lieutenant Jack Longhern told the captain.
"Show me that weapon?" The Brave New World AI brings up a screen showing them the weapon. It looks like a plasma cannon on steroids and it fires again dropping the ships shields down to 30%.
"Sir, it would appear that the weapon fires the same sort of plasma as their ships do," Ensign Garnet said. The captain nods her head.
"Lieutenant Hakket, get in contact with those Broadswords and tell them to take that weapon out."
"Yes sir," Lieutenant Hakket replied. Two Squadrons of Broadswords headed to deal with the new Covenant weapon. They fired their missiles, but nothing happens.
"Brave New World be advice the weapon was protected by an energy shield," the commander of the Broadsword told Captain Takenov. The Brave New World takes another hit. "Arm the MAC gun lets destroy that gun.
"Sir, I would advise against that they had human prisoners." The Brave New World AI told him.
"Get me in contact with Sierra-118."
"Aye, Aye sir," the Brave New World A.I replied. She contacts the Spartan. "Sierra-118, we had some sort of enemy artillery firing on us and was dropping our shields fast. They had a shield protecting the weapon plus prisoners I need you to neutralize the enemy artillery and rescue the prisoners."
"Don't worry sir, we'll take care of the problem." Heath replied. The Brave New World takes another hit from the weapon.
"Tarkhem get us the hell out of here." The captain said to one of his bridge officers.
"Yes ma'am," she replied. The Brave New World heads back towards Manchester until the weapon was taken out.
Several Jirheili were commanding the Brutes in Jiralhanae on how to work the weapon and giving the order to fire. Unggoy and Kig-Yar were patrolling around the weapon. The weapon has fired three times on the human ship and the human sent in a strike force to destroy the gun but thanks to the energy shield protecting the gun protected them from destroyed but if for some unknown reason the shield was taken out they had human prisoners to act as shields. The shield surrounds the gun and two parking lots with Kig-Yar snipers on the roofs. Colonel Heath-118, Master Chief John-117, Major Tristan Rhodes, Lieutenant Jack, Tom, Jun, Lucy, and three Army Special Forces soldiers were on approach to the weapon. Heath sees the shield in the distance. He stops the vehicles behind a building and told them they'll continue the rest of the way on foot. They enter one of the parking garages inside of the shield. They see several Grunts on patrol; they take care of them silently. Heath told them that there were properly snipers up top and must be eliminated before taking out the gun crew. Jun, Tom, and an army soldier from the 2nd Special Forces Division volunteer to take out the snipers. The rest get into position to take care of the gun crew. Major Rhodes, Lieutenant Jack, and Lucy eliminated several more Grunt patrols before they too got into position. Blue acknowledge lights wink giving the Colonel the news that the Jackal snipers had been terminated. They were all carrying M29s and SAWs because Captain Takenov informs them that they had Jirheili guarding the weapon. Heath gave the order to fire. Jun and Tom began sniping the Covenant patrols that started to hurry back to the gun mostly Grunts and only a few Jackals. Sixteen rockets hit the Covenant overloading the Jirheili shields and killing the unarmored Brutes the Colonel and the Master Chief finish off the Jirheili with the SAWs while Major Rhodes, Lieutenant Jack, and Lucy finish off the surviving Brutes. The battle on lasted 12 minutes after the first rocket was fired. Only one soldier was killed with multiple Spikes through his chest. Heath told Major Rhodes to planet a demolition charge on the weapon. They return to the vehicles before Major Rhodes pressed the detonator. Once the gun was destroyed Spartan-118 radios the Brave New World informing Captain Takenov that the mission was successful. "I knew you could do it Spartan," was her reply. The Covenant forces at Buckingham Palace surrendered after that especially after they were surrounded by UNSC forces. The UNSC soldiers inside of Buckingham Palace after they gave them the all clear signal. Covenant forces throughout London were surrendering to the UNSC. Two thousand Covenant troops surrendered. The Spartans were heading back to Alamo I to rest and get ready for another mission. Several days later Lord Hood received this message from the UNSC Brave New World:

The UNSC lost 3736 1700 KIA, 30 MIA, and 2,000 wounded. I'm also sorry to say we lost 6 Spartans in taking London back.

Covenant Casualties were estimated at 4000 KIA and 2500 POWs.
