Over the next few weeks, Josie was tiring Jack and Rose out. They were both exhausted all the time. They were both walking around like they were completely drunk. "We can't possibly be good parents while we're tired like this," said Rose one morning.
"We're great parents, we just have to figure out when to sleep. Every time Josie sleeps, we should be sleeping."
"That sounds smart," said Rose. "It's just hard in execution. I mean, if Josie is sleeping at three in the afternoon, are we really going to sleep at three in the afternoon?"
"We should at least try," said Jack. "Listen, there's no milk so I'm going to go pick some up."
"Okay, see you later," said Rose as she kissed Jack. Jack left and Rose sat down with Josie. She was crying and Rose was trying to quiet her down. But she just wouldn't stop.
"Josie, please, please, just tell me what to do and I'll do it," Rose cried. She had no idea what to do with her! She just wouldn't quiet down. She needed Jack to come home.
It had been two hours. Jack still wasn't home. "Where's your daddy?" Rose asked. She was a little worried.
Finally, the door opened, and Rose covered Josie's ears. "Jack, what the hell happened to you? I was so worried!"
Jack looked awful. "I may have, um, fallen asleep in the parking lot?"
Rose couldn't help but smile. "Are you serious?"
Jack smiled back. "Maybe."
Rose stood up holding Josie. "Well then. If you got such a good nap earlier, you can watch Josie while I take a shower."

Rose turned on the shower and was just so exhausted. She was so tired she even felt a little nauseous. She decided to sit down in the bathroom and rest her eyes for one quick second. She should have known that it would be a bad idea.
Next thing Rose knew, Jack was standing by the door of the bathroom, with Josie crying in his arms. The bathroom was filled with steam since the shower had been on for so long. "Usually the shower works better when you're in it," said Jack.
Rose slowly sat up and grumbled.
"She's hungry, and my nipples are of no use to her." Rose stood up and took the baby, giving Jack an annoyed yet joking look.
Rose went outside to the patio and sat on a lounge chair. She carefully rested Josie against her chest. Finally, the baby fell asleep. Rose was so relieved. But the thing is, as loud as Josie could cry and scream, Rose loved her so much. She loved her unconditionally, and she just wanted to do everything perfectly.
As Josie fell asleep, so did Rose. Finally! They both slept there all day, until it was time for Josie to go to her bed.

It was the next day, and Jack and Rose had invited everyone to meet baby Josie. Daniella, Will, Emma, Ben, Jena, Alex, and Mia were all coming over. Emma and Ben had arrived first.
"Hey, Emma!" Rose greeted her sister with a hug.
"Hey yourself," said Emma. "How are you feeling? Can I see the baby?"
"Of course you can," said Rose. She picked Josie up and handed her to Emma.
"Rose, she's so beautiful," said Emma, in awe of the little baby. "What's her name?"
"Josephine, but we're going to call her Josie," said Jack.
Jena and Alex entered next. "Where's my niece or nephew?" Jena asked.
Rose smiled. "Niece, and she's with Emma right now," said Rose. She took the baby from Emma, and handed her to Jena.
"Oh my gosh," Jena smiled. "She's amazing. You know, Jack showed me a picture a couple of days ago and I swear I said to Alex, 'that's one of the most beautiful newborns I've ever seen'."
"Well, thank you," Jack said. "She's absolutely amazing."
Jena handed the baby back to Rose, and Jack picked up Mia, who was now five. She, too, was a beautiful little girl. "Are you excited, since now you have a cousin?"
"I'm really excited. Really really."
Daniella and Will walked into the house and greeted everyone. Daniella had pulled Rose aside to tell her some exciting news. "I need to tell you something," she said.
"What's going on?" Rose asked.
Daniella smiled and giggled. "I'm pregnant," she said.
"Oh, Daniella. That's wonderful! I'm so happy for you!" Rose hugged Rose. "Jack and I wanted to tell you and Will something." She called Jack and Will into the room.
Jack looked at Rose. "You want to tell them, or should I?"
"I'll tell," said Rose. "So when Josie was born, we were trying to figure out who we wanted to be Josie's godparents. It would be people that we're close to and people that we trusted. And we want that to be you. We want you guys to be Josie's godparents."
Daniella smiled. "You do? Thank you so much!" She looked at Will, who was also smiling. "We'd be honored."
They all hugged and went back outside and joined the party. Jena and Alex had bought Josie some adorable outfits, Emma and Ben had bought her a beautiful blanket with her name embroidered, and Daniella and Alex had bought some beautiful stuffed animals.
Emma had shared the news with everyone that she and Ben were engaged, and everyone celebrated.
Josie and Mia were asleep and everyone else was sitting downstairs. Everyone was bored, but no one wanted to say it. Finally, Rose did. "Alright. There must be some way to liven up this party."
"I have an idea," said Emma. "We can play BS!"
Daniella laughed. "I haven't played that since we were twelve. Remember, Rose? Josh Siegel's summer party?"
Rose smiled. "I remember that party!"
"What's BS?" Jack asked.
"It's a card game we used to play when we were younger," said Rose. "It's a bit like poker, you have to be able to lie. You used to play poker, darling. You'd be good at this game!"
Rose explained the rules to Jack, Jena, and Alex. They started to play, and Jack was playing well. Finally, he had called BS on Rose.
"Excuse me?" Rose was stunned. "I was and still am the reigning champion of BS. And you call BS on me? How dare you," Rose joked.
"Well, are you lying?" Jack asked.
Rose rolled her eyes and picked up all the cards, and everyone laughed.

Finally, everyone had left, and it was just the three of them again.
Jack and Rose both were just sitting with Josie, watching her sleep. "Just me and my girls," said Jack as he kissed Rose. "I love you both so much."
"And we love you too," said Rose, her eyes glued to Josie.
