"Dream A Little Dream of Me"

Please enjoy and review!

Sunlight shone down on Daisuke's face, breaking through the darkness that had consumed her her vision and mind earlier.

Moaning in discomfort, Daisuke's eyes fluttered open and she was stunned to find herself staring up at the familiar lavender colored ceiling of her bedroom.

She knew it was her ceiling because she had placed glow in the dark stars and moons on it when she was younger so she could count them to help her get to sleep.

Koji had always insisted she should take them down, but Daisuke liked them since it gave her good memories of her childhood.

Sitting up from where she was laid out, the girl glanced around her and found she was lying in her bed and took in the familiar sight of her lavender colored walls, white curtains and her blue bedsheets.

Confused, Daisuke stood up and looked around as she tried to figure out how she had returned home since the last thing she remembered was Koji being attacked by Duskmon and there was a huge blast of dark energy that covered the area, but no one was harmed, their vision had just been robbed for a few moments.

"Daisuke, where are we?" A familiar voice asked.

Snapping out of her exploring, Daisuke whipped around to find Veemon poking his head out from under the bedsheets.

"Veemon, you're here." Daisuke exclaimed as she rushed over to the dragon.

Seeing Veemon there with her was proff that everything she had been through in the Digital World hadn't been an elaborate dream like she was beginning to worry it was.

"Where is here?" He asked.

Sniffing around, he noted that the bedroom had Daisuke's scent all over it.

"This is my room. From my home back on Earth." Daisuke said.

"We're in the Human World? How did that happen?" Veemon asked in shock.

"I don't know. Either this is a dream or some hallucination or maybe we somehow fell through a portal to Earth." Daisuke concluded.

Footsteps were heard making the duo whip around to look at the door.

"Hey, squirt, are you up yet?" A female voice called.

Shocked, Daisuke stared at the door as it was thrown open by a tall girl with fair skin, chocolate brown eyes and wild magenta colored hair who was dressed in a black tube top and jean shorts.

It was Jun Motomiya, Daisuke's older sister.

At the sight of her sister whom she hadn't seen in months, Daisuke stared at her, unable to believe she was there.

"Oh, good, you are up. Anyway, the shower's free if you want it. I'd hurry though. Mom's about to make pancakes for breakfast." Jun informed.

Her eyes then landed on Veemon who was frozen, unsure of what to do or say at being in front of his partner's sister who looked so similar to Daisuke, but there were a few differences in their looks.

"When did you get this thing? I haven't seen it before." Jun questioned as she walked over to inspect it.

"Uh, I-I got it the other day." Daisuke stuttered.

Jun poked Veemon's cheek and he tried not to reacte as the older girl looked him over curiously.

Narrowing her eyes at the sight of the dragon, Jun then turned her attention onto her sister who seemed to be frozen in shock and was staring at the magenta haired girl like she couldn't believe she was real.

"Are you feeling okay, Dais?" Jun asked her.

Hearing the familiar nickname, Daisuke snapped out of her state of shock.

"Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Just kinda…out of it." Daisuke stuttered.

"Why don't you go take a shower to help you wake up and then hurry downstairs for breakfast?" Jun suggested placing a hand on her sister's messy hair.

With that being said, Jun left the room and made her way downstairs to eat.

"I can't believe this. I'm really back." Daisuke sighed out in shock and happiness.

As the months went by, she began to miss her family greatly, but her time was taken up by fighting evil and helping Digimon who were in trouble.

She was starting to think that she would never return home with how things had been going and after meeting Duskmon and seeing how much more powerful he was compared to the rest of the evil Warriors, she was scared that they weren't going to get back to Earth.

"So, what do we do now?" Veemon asked snapping her out of her thoughts.

"We go get cleaned up and go down for breakfast. I can show you around my home." Daisuke smiled at him.

"Okay!" Veemon chirped.

Scooping Veemon into her arms, Daisuke carried him with her to the bathroom so they could wash up after their long journey in the Digital World.

Starting the shower, Daisuke stripped off her clothes that she hadn't been able to change out of for months and stepped under the warm spray of water and Veemon jumped in with her.

Grabbing the rose scented body wash that Jun had left behind, Daisuke decided to use it and the rose shampoo to clean herself and Veemon.

Normally she wasn't a fan of the over powering scent of rose, but she wasn't going to complain at being able to wash herself.

When she tried to wash Veemon, he kept wriggling around, laughing at how much the bubbles tickled him.

Finally managing to clean the Digimon properly, Daisuke wrapped both of them up in large blue towels before walking back into her bedroom so they could dry off and she could get dressed.

Finding clean underwear, jeans and a black tube top, Daisuke pulled them on along with some white socks and shoved her feet into her blue slippers.

"That shower felt great! And I really liked that pink stuff you used to wash us with." Veemon grinned.

"That was my sister's rose scented body wash. Hope she doesn't get upset about me using it and her shampoo. I just wanted to hurry up and get clean that I forgot to bring my own stuff into the bathroom." Daisuke explained.

"Well, I'm not complaining." Veemon said.

"That's because you've never smelled my strawberry shampoo and body wash before. Believe me, you'd love that way more." Daisuke smiled.

Brushing through her hair, Daiuke then left it down to air dry before scooping Veemon up in her arms and carrying him with her on the way downstairs.

As they went, Veemon glanced around at the pictures hanging on the walls.

He saw pictures of Daisuke and her sister Jun along with other people he assumed to be her parents and various other family members.

There were even a few pictures of Daisuke with Koji which made sense since they had known each other since they were babies.

Making her way towards the kitchen, Daisuke smiled when she saw the familiar sight of a red haired man sitting at the table talking with her sister while a beautiful woman with blonde hair was cooking blueberry pancakes at the stove.

Feeling someone staring at him, Tamaki Motomiya looked over and he smiled at the sight of his youngest daughter who was looking at him like it was the first time she had seen him in a long while.

"Morning, sweetie. How did you sleep?" The red haired man asked.

Trying hard not to cry at the sight of her father, Daisuke made her way over to him and threw her arms around the man.

Stunned by what was happening, Tamaki hugged his daughter back, not one to complain over one of his girls showing him affection.

"Well, someone woke up in a good mood." Tamaki commented.

Pulling back, Daisuke gave her father a smile before setting Veemon down in her seat before making her way over to her mother, Narumi Motomiya, who was placing the pancakes in a large plate.

"Hey, Mom!" Daisuke called as she hugged her mother.

"Oh, Daisuke, be careful. Don't want these pancakes to hit the floor." Narumi laughed as she kissed her daughter's head.

Veemon watched the way how the family acted around each other and he had to fight off the urge to smile since this was the first time he had seen his human this happy.

She was almost radiant as she smiled and helped her mother carry the food over to the table, picking Veemon up and setting him on her lap so she could eat.

"So, girls, what do you have planned for today?" Narumi asked as she poured herself a cup of tea.

Breathing in the familiar scent of lavender that came from the tea leaves, Daisuke smiled over at her mother who looked beautiful as she sipped at her drink.

She forgot how amazing her mother looked with her golden blonde hair, tanned skin and beautiful sapphire blue eyes.

Tamaki was staring at Narumi as she sipped her tea, looking love struck which normally Daisuke and Jun would roll their eyes at and make fun of their father for, but at this moment, the Warrior of Miracles couldn't bring herself to do it.

It was such a touching moment that she never knew she would miss and she really had.

"I'm going to the mall with my friends today. There's a sale going on and I can't wait to get these awesome shirts and jeans. You should come, Dais. You could use some new clothes." Jun told her sister.

Groaning at that, Daisuke simply grabbed the bottle of maple syrup and poured it over her pancakes which made Veemon lick his lips.

"I'm not going. I hate your friends. They're too annoying." Daisuke said.

"Well, at least I have more than one. You just have Koji." Jun stated.

"No, I don't." Daisuke was quick to say.

That caught the rest of the Motomiya family's attention as they turned to stare at Daisuke.

"What do you mean?" Jun asked her.

"I made some new friends." Daisuke said.

As she spoke about them, Daisuke then thought over all of the fun times she had with Takuya, Tommy, JP and Zoe as they traveled around the Digital World.

They were all having fun together, even though their lives have been at risk constantly, but they had formed a close friendship.

Zoe had become the first girl that Daisuke had began to like and viewed her as her best friend while she was very sure that Koji saw Takuya as his.

"That's wonderful, honey. So, are you and your friends going to be spending time together today?" Narumi asked with a smile.

She was proud of her youngest daughter for breaking out of her shell and making more friends with other people.

When her mother said that, it reminded Daisuke fo the fact that she had last seen her friends when Duskmon attacked them.

With that memory in her mind, Daisuke began to worry over them, wondering what had happened to them.

Why should she be here enjoying time with her family while her friends were in danger?

"Yeah, I am. In fact, I'm going to see them right now." Daisuke said.

Veemon, who had been sneaking food off Daisuke's plate when no one was looking, stared up at his human when he sensed how upset she had become.

"You don't have to rush off, Daisuke. You should eat up first. You'll need the energy." Tamaki smiled.

Staring over at her father, Daisuke memorized the way he smiled over at her and took in the sight of her entire family who were sitting at the table.

"I really need to go, though. Koji and the others are waiting on me. And I don't want to let them down." Daisuke said standing with Veemon in her arms.

"All right then. Be careful out there. Oh, and Daisuke? You should invite your friends over soon. I would love to meet them." Narumi told her.

"Yeah, you should do that. And if one of those friends is a girl, then I'm dragging the both of you shopping. Don't fight me on this." Jun warned.

Smiling happily at the sight of the people she loved most, Daisuke made her way out of the house, taking off her slippers and replacing them with her shoes while she checked to make sure she had her D-Tector on her.

"Come on, Veemon, we need to find a way to get back to the Digital World." Daisuke said.

"It would help if we knew how we got here in the first place." Veemon commented.

Walking outside, Daisuke glanced around at her neighborhood and saw everything that looked familiar to her.

Walking down the street, Daisuke saw Koji's house and heard his dog, a beautiful German sheppard, barking as he chased after a chipmunk that had wandered into their yard.

"I don't know how we got back here but…" Daisuke trailed off.

Setting Veemon on the ground for a moment, Daisuke pulled out her D-Tector to stare down at it as the faces of her Spirits flashed across the screen.

"Ophanimon sent us all a message on our cellphones. She led us to a train station. That's how we were able to get to the Digital World." The girl explained.

"Hey, that's it! All we have to do is go to the train station place and we'll find a way back to the Digital World." Veemon exclaimed.

"Yeah, that could work. Come on, let's get out of here." Daisuke grinned.

Shoving her D-Tector into her pocket, Daisuke scooped Veemon up into her arms and took off running for the train station, knowing how difficult it would be to get there and was thrilled she remembered to grab her wallet on the way out of her room.

Racing through the town and making her way to the train station, Daisuke had kept thinking about her friends and how they would need her help.

Sitting on the train on the way to the station, Daisuke thought over everything that had happened to her over the last few months and she had often wondered over what her life would be like if she had never followed Koji when he answered that text message.

She never would have met Zoe, Takuya, JP and Tommy who would become her best friends and would help her and Koji break out of their shells and become comfortable around other people.

Hearing snoring, Daisuke glanced down and found Veemon curled up on her lap, his head laying against her stomach.

He had fallen asleep during the ride and she smiled down sweetly at the adorable Digimon who made her feel happy and complete.

Most importantly, she never would have met Veemon.

The second she found his Digi Egg in the lake, she had felt a connection to it and it grew stronger when he was born and continued to grow.

Honestly, if she could go back in time, then she wouldn't have changed anything about how things happened, she would make the same choices because they got her Veemon, Neemon, Bokomon, Takuya, Zoe, Tommy and JP.

Finally, they had arrived at their destination and Daisuke carried Veemon with her to the place where their adventure first began.

Making her way into the train station, Daisuke remembered how Koji dragged her off with him through the area and they walked over to the elevator while Takuya chased after them, yelling at them to wait for him.

"Wow, this place is pretty cool. I've never seen this many different humans before." Veemon spoke up.

Smiling down at him, Daisuke made her way over to the elevator and rode it down to the final floor.

As the elevator began to lower, she felt a pulse of energy, just like the first day, and it made Veemon tense up in her arms as he looked around, expecting to be attacked at any moment.

"Okay, here we go. We're on our way." Daisuke said.

"I don't like this. I felt some weird energy and it makes me feel worried." Veemon stated.

"Don't stress out about too much, Veemon. We're almost there." Daisuke comforted.

Just then, the elevator came to an abrupt stop which made the girl cry out as she fell to the ground.

"I forgot about that." She groaned.

Climbing back onto her feet, Daisuke walked with Veemon out of the elevator as the doors opened to reveal a dark underground train station.

"Look, there's only one train left!" Veemon pointed.

Looking over to where Veemon was pointing, Daisuke saw a large white and pink train which she knew to be a Trailmon, one she hadn't seen before.

"Come on, it's time to get back and stop Cherubimon." Daisuke said.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Daisuke? If you get on that Trailmon, there's a chance you might not ever be able to come back home." Veemon told her.

Sure, he wanted the both of them to return to their friends, but he had seen how happy the Motomiya family were and the idea of that happiness being ruined made Veemon feel sick.

"I know that, but I have to have hope that we can make it. We can defeat Chrubimon and then we'll find a way to come back home. Don't worry so much about it, Veemon. Everything will be okay." Daisuke smiled.

Seeing the determination shining in the girl's eyes, Veemon perked up and smiled up at her.

"Right! Let's get back there and kick Cherubimon's butt!" Veemon cheered.

Laughing at that, Daisuke raced over to the Trailmon with Veemon at her heels, both of them climbing onto the train.

The doors closed behind them and the Trailmon began moving on the track, making its way through the portal as Daisuke was covered in white light that transformed her into Bellemon.

Soon enough, the Trailmon arrived in the Continent of Darkness and the doors opened, allowing Bellemon and Veemon to step out.

"It's time to go." Bellemon said.

Scooping Veemon into her arms, Bellemon took to the sky and flew off, a white aura surounding her and lighting her path as she searched for her friends.
