Humphrey's POV

"Humphrey!" My dad called from downstairs.

"Hold on guys," I said to the guys in the discord chat, and I muted my mic, heading downstairs, "You have summoned my presence," I said as I got to the bottom of the stairs.

"Yes, I indeed have," He said, grabbing his keys off the counter, "Come," he said going into the garage.

"Why-" I said, following him, however, stopping myself as I saw what was sitting in the garage, "When did this get here? How did I not see?" I asked, looking at the BMW 3 Series I had been saving up for.

"Well, your mother dropped me off at the dealership, I bought it, and drove it home. Must've been before Charlotte got home," he said, looking at his watch.

"I thought we were gonna go down and I was going to pay what money I had," I said, a little confused.

"Well, I thought it over, and I just decided to pay it," He said, quickly moving closer to me and whispering, "Don't tell your mother that. I told her I'd get the money off you."

I chuckled, and said, "Don't worry. I won't."

"Well, hold out your hand," He said, reaching into his pocket as I held my hand out as instructed. He eventually pulled the keys out of his jeans pocket and dropped them into the palm of my hand.

"Let's go for a ride."

Liam's POV

I was searching through the cupboards in the kitchen, looking for my packet of Oreo's. It was nowhere to be seen though. I had a suspicion that was immediately confirmed as I looked into the living room, seeing the empty wrapping of the packet sitting on the coffee table. Ethan had gotten to them first. I sighed and grabbed my keys out of the bowl we kept them in, and headed for my car.
Before I got outside, Ethan stopped me.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"I'm going to go buy myself some food because you already got to my Oreo's," I said, pointing at the packet sitting on the coffee table.

"Oh yeah, well can you get me a bottle of cola, since you're heading out?" He said.

"Give me the money and I will," I said, holding out my hand. At which point he sighed, rolled his eyes and broke his wallet out, handing me five dollars, me taking it and putting it in my pocket, "Good, I'll be back in ten minutes."

"Oh and one more thing," He said, holding me back, "Do you mind if I put my work car in the garage, instead of in the driveway?"

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"I don't want people to see that I have a Civic. They're gay as hell."

"Oh that's right, your work gave you a Honda. Ha get fucked," I said, chuckling, "But fine, you can chuck it in there. I don't want people to see it either to be honest."

"Cool, thanks," He said, leaving me to go back to get his keys. I finally left the house, taking my car out of the garage and reversing out of the driveway, then seeing Ethan, shortly after, come out and pull his car in as I left.
After my short drive to the grocery shop, I parked, locked the car and went inside. I walked through the building, reading the aisle signs, eventually stumbling upon the correct aisle for my Oreo's. I turned down the aisle, spotting the Oreo packets and walking up to the them. I ended up deciding to grab two packets, in case Ethan stole one of them again.
I also made my way to the drinks aisle, grabbing a 1 litre bottle of Coca-Cola, and heading for the self-checkout. I scanned the items, paid, and made my way out of the store. I headed to my car, unlocking it and hopping in, putting the items on the passenger seat.
As I put the key in the ignition, I looked up and spotted an older Chevrolet Camaro; most likely from the early 2000s. It looked awfully familiar, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. The windows were heavily tinted, most likely illegally, so I had no chance of recognising the owner. I just decided it wasn't worth hurting my brain about, so I pushed it off to the side and started my car and drove off.

No-one's POV

As Liam pulled out of his parking spot, the Camaro roared to life, the V6 rumbling as it idled. It pulled out of it's parking spot, and pulled up behind the Holden Commodore at the intersection. As Liam pulled forward and out of the parking lot, the Chevrolet followed, copying the Holden's every move. It almost looked like it was playing 'Follow the Leader' with Liam's car.
Liam fell oblivious to the Camaro now following behind him, still unable to remember who it was, nor where he knew it from. The Avenged Sevenfold playing through his speakers distracting him from the car on his tail as well.
Liam pulled into his driveway, shutting the car off and exiting the vehicle. He walked to the passenger side of the car, humming the song playing before the car was turned off. He picked up his purchased goods, shutting the door and locking the car, finally heading inside.
However, outside across the street, sat the Camaro. The owner had picked up his phone and started making a call, the other side of the line eventually answering.

"What is it boy? I'm in the middle of something," The middle aged man said on the other side of the line.

"I've located his house. He's even left his car outside," The owner said with joy vibrating in his voice.

"Really? Fantastic job boy! This is going to work perfectly!" The middle aged man exclaimed, "I have to go. I'll talk to you when we get home."

Lily's POV

"I just don't know what to do, Sweets," I said in the voice chat, planting my face in my hands.

"Why don't you just tell him how you feel?" She replied, which I didn't expect much less to be fair.

"I don't know how to though," I said, lifting my head from my palms, "Like, how do you tell someone you like them? Is there a way to do it? Or do you just say it?"

"You just be honest with him about your feelings. I've done it before. Multiple times. The worst that could happen is he says no. Plus, Liam's chill anyway; at least that's what Kate has told me. Actually, that's all she's told me really..." She said.

"I guess you're right. Thanks for talking to me, Sweets. I know we're not really friends but you're a real help," I said, smiling.

"It's alright, Lily. I like to give a helping hand. Anyway, I need to get some homework done so I'll talk to you later," She said, a thud of books hitting her table soon after.

"Okay. See you later," I said, and ended the call. I sighed and silently mumbled, "This is gonna be interesting."

"GIRLS! DINNER!" Mum shouted from downstairs. I looked at the clock on my wall and surely enough, it was about 7pm already. I made my way downstairs and on the table sat my dinner, along with everyone else's. Lasagna sitting on everyone's plate. I took my usual spot at the table and waited for my sister to come down, which she did soon after I did. Mum and dad then took their seats at the ends of the table, allowing us to dig into our food.

Time Skip – The Next Day

I woke up from my slumber, nervous for what I was about to do today. Butterflies were doing barrel-rolls in my stomach. I've never done anything like this before. I've never admitted feelings to anyone before, and I was absolutely terrified.
'Calm down Lily. You can do this. It can't be that hard, can it?' I thought to myself, staring at the ceiling of my bedroom. I wiped my face of with my hands and sighed, dragging the covers off and hopping out of bed.
I grabbed some nicer clothes to wear for the day and made my way towards the bathroom, and entering, shutting and locking the door behind me. I had a shower and brushed my hair, pulling my fringe back and staring at my eyes in the mirror. I decided to leave my hair like that and got dressed.
I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen, and searching the cupboards for something to turn into breakfast. My mum walked in and she stopped in the door frame, seeing me standing there in the cupboard.

"Good morning, Lily," She said, "You sure look nice today. What's the occasion?"

"Morning, mum," I said turning to her, "Just thought I would try something different today," I responded, not being completely truthful about my intentions.

"I love how you've done your hair," She said, walking closer to examine my hair style better.

"Uhm thanks," I said, moving back a bit, and continuing my search through the cupboard, eventually finding some cereal.

"Do you want a lift to school today or would you rather walk?" She asked, making herself a cup of tea.

"I'll walk, thanks for the offer though," I said, pouring some cereal and milk into a bowl and digging in.

"Okay, well I'm gonna head out to the back porch. I'll be out there if you need anything," She said, picking up her mug and her phone. I nodded and finished my food, rinsing out the bowl in the sink.
I made my way back upstairs, packing my back with my school needs. I finished what I needed to do and the time sat around 8:10am. 'Might be a good idea to head off,' I thought to myself. I grabbed my phone and earphones off my bedside table and picked up my bag on the way out.
I walked outside, and I felt like bricks were about to come out of my butthole. I was incredibly nervous. 'Lily, calm down. Just play some music, it'll relax you,' a little voice inside my head said, to which I obliged and put my earphones in and scrolling through my playlist. I eventually settled on starting with Natural by Imagine Dragons.
Soon enough I made it to school, and there he stood. In the open, on his phone. Nobody else was around; it was perfect. I took a deep breath and started walking towards Liam, until it was interrupted.
Charlotte and Humphrey arrived, and Charlotte basically ran over to him, kissing him on the cheek and giving him a massive hug.
My smile dropped, and tears started building in my eyes. Liam saw me as he let go of Charlotte and smiled, as he began to wave. I just walked past him, dropping my head and my fringe following suit, falling back over my eye. He tried to speak but I ignored it, and just headed into the building. I didn't look back.

My heart had shattered.
