CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE: DAY 2: YUKINO VS KAGURA

"All right! The second day of the Grand Magic Games reaches its final match at last! Kagura Mikazuchi from Mermaid Heel versus Sabertooth's Aguria!" Chapati announced. "We've got another battle of the beauties!"

Casey ended up joining his team. "Casey! Aren't you supposed to be resting?" Vivi scolded.

"Relax, Vivi. I'm okay. My magic power is slowly returning to me." Casey replied. He leans over the railing. "Besides, I wanted to see another Sabertooth battle."

"No doubt the girl will win. She is from Sabertooth after all." Cruz sighed.

"This is one of the guilds we have to take down." Claire added.

"Don't underestimate Kagura-san. She's tougher than she looks." Tsuki informed.

Cruz turned to her. "You say that like you know her." He said.

"I guess you can say her and I are close. We're really good friends. She tried to make me leave Bladed Wolves to join Mermaid Heel, but I refused. I didn't want to leave Gen by herself." Tsuki explained.

"Alright! Let the match begin!" Chapati said.

"I look forward to doing battle with you." Yukino said.

Kagura closed her eyes. "As do I." She replied.

"Before we begin, shall we make a bet, too?" Yukino asked.

"Sorry, but I'm not interested." Kagura replied.

"Is it because you're afraid of losing?" Yukino asked once more.

"I don't possess that kind of emotion. However, I believe that when one makes a wager, it must be followed through. So I'd like to abstrain from any thoughtless diversions." Kagura answered.

Yukino closed her eyes. "In that case, let's make a serious bet." She said. "Let's bet our lives." Everyone was shocked when they heard that bet.

"Your lives? Hey..." Snow muttered.

"This is getting interesting." Alexander said, chuckling.

"Still, that's not something you should bet on..." Sakura stated.

"That's our Yukino-kun! That's why she's part of Sabertooth!" Lector exclaimed.

"Good luck, Yukino!" Frosch cheered.

"This is getting interesting." Sting stated.

"It's your bad luck to be standing before a member of Sabertooth..." Yukino said as she got out a gold key.

"Lucy-san, is that...?" Wendy started to say.

"That girl is a Celestial Spirit wizard?!" Lucy exclaimed.

The zodiac key started to glow. "Huh... a gold key. One of those 13 Zodiac Gate things?" Kagura questioned as she looked at the glowing key.

"Open, Gate of the Paired Fish..." Yukino said.

"Gate of the Paired Fish?! I like the sound of that!" Happy exclaimed.

"What kind of Celestial Spirit is it?" Wendy wondered out loud.

"I don't know..." Lucy admitted.

"Going by the usual pattern, it's probably something like this." Erza said as a fish man appeared.

"That's kind of unsetting..." Wendy commented.

"But there are ones like the Gemini twins too, so my guess is that it'll be like this." Gray informed as two fish appeared.

"I have a feeling you've hit the mark..." Lucy said.

"Happy will be so pleased!" Natsu exclaimed as a random thing appeared next to him.

"That's not even a fish..." Wendy informed.

"Wendy don't waste your time contradicting the guy. His stupidity will rub off." Gray said.

"Pisces!" Yukino held the key to the sky as a Magic Circle appeared. Then, two large fish appeared. "They are fish!" Happy exclaimed. Pisces headed straight towards Kagura, but Kagura dodged. Pisces kept trying to attack her but she kept dodging.

Kagura runs down Pisces. "Huh. She's not bad." Sting commented. "What? She's no great shakes. All she's doing is dodging." Lector said as he shrugged. "Fro thinks so, too!" Frosch agreed.

"If you're so good at dodging, then all I need to do is ground you." Yukino said as she got out another key.

"Two gates open at the same time?!" Lucy exclaimed.

"Glittering gold!" Frosch said.

"That's right! That's one of the 12 Zodiac Gates, too!" Lector added.

"Open, Gate of the Scales..." Yukino swipes the gold key and the same Magic Circle appears. "Libra!" A woman with scales on her fingers appears from the gate. The men in the audience had hearts in their eyes as they went wild.

"Libra, alter the target's gravity." Yukino ordered.

"As you wish." Libra replied as she did so. Kagura got held down as Pisces surrounded her.

"That's gravity manipulation!" Beth exclaimed.

"That Libra character can use the same magic as me?!" Risley said.

"So she made Kagura heavier?" Arana questioned.

"Pisces..." Yukino muttered.

Pisces headed over to attack Kagura, but Kagura jumped up, dodging the attack. "That girl's awesome!" Razi exclaimed. "Her jumping ability is remarkable..." Kyle commented. "No, that's..." Sakura muttered.

"Libra... Make the target's gravity go sideways." Yukino ordered.

"As you wish." Libra said. Kagura was flown to the statue, with Libra's magic holding her down. "Ouch! She was only able to escape the Celestial Spirit's gravity altering for a short time! Kagura is pinned to the statue! What a pinch!" Chapati said.

"Gravity is cool!" Jason exclaimed.

"Pisces!" Yukino said as Pisces headed up towards where Kagura was.

"This is what I'm talkin' about! The highlight of two gates opened at once!" Lector exclaimed, waving his arms.

"Highlight!" Frosch repeated.

"I guess it's all over..." Sting muttered. "Or I wish it would be..."

Pisces headed towards Kagura. She closed her eyes as Pisces stopped moving. "The fish stopped!" Cruz exclaimed. "What the...?! Is she out of magic?" Vivi wondered out loud. "That's not it. Look at that." Tsuki replied.

The Raven's Moon team looked down. Libra was being pinned to the ground. "I can't move." Libra said. "I see..." Yukino muttered.

"Don't tell me she can use gravity magic too?!" Lector said.

"How?" Frosch questioned.

"Kagura's the one who taught me gravity altering magic. Better not underestimate Kagura-chan!" Risley informed.

Pisces and Libra were pinned down. Finally, the two Celestial Spirits were on the ground, defeated. "Pisces, Libra, go back." Yukino said as Pisces and Libra disappeared back into the spirit world.

Yukino and Kagura stared at each other. "Yeesh, call it a draw. This match will go on forever." Orga commented.

"Yukino..." Frosch muttered.

"She's fine! The fight is just startin'! Right, Sting-kun?" Lector said.

"That's right. Yukino's gonna bring out her real power now." Sting replied.

"You're going to make me open... The 13th grate?" Yukino said. Kagura was shocked to hear this.

"The 13th gate?! Is that what she just said?!" Lucy exclaimed.

Wendy turned to her. "What's wrong, Lucy-san?" Wendy asked. Lucy explained about there being a 13th gate.

"Opening the 13th gate... That means you're out of luck." Yukino said as she pulls out a gold key with black swirling around it. It started to glow purple. "Luck, huh? I haven't relied on luck since the moment I was born." Kagura said.

The arena suddenly went dark. "Open, Gate of the Snake Charmer..." Yukino holds the key up in the air. "Ophiuchus!" A Magic Circle appeared as a snake appeared, leaving the audience in shock.

Ophiuchus headed towards Kagura. But Kagura easily defeats Ophiuchus. The sky went back to normal as everyone stood in shock. "Is she for real?!" Sting exclaimed. Kagura headed towards Yukino as the Sabertooth team kept staring in shock. Yukino was on the ground, defeated.

"Sometimes, mermaids eat tigers." Kagura said. Everyone continued to stare in shock.

"T-T-The match is over! The winner is Kagura Mikazuchi of Mermaid Heel!" Chapati announced. The audience cheered with excitement. "It's unbelievable, but Sabertooth got zero points on the second day!"

"This is getting interesting." Yajima commented.

"Cool! Kagura-chan is cool!" Jason exclaimed.

"Was the Saber woman weak? Or was the Mermaid woman strong?" Alexander questioned.

"The latter..." Snow commented.

"I-I lost..." Yukino sobbed. "Sabertooth lost..."

"Yukino..." Frosch muttered.

Sting was clenching his fist as he made a dent in the railing. "Sting-kun..." Lector said. Sting looked angry as Yukino continues crying.

"And thus ends the second day of the Grand Magic Games!" Chapati announced. "Raven Tail gained 10 points today, giving them first place with 36 points! Sabertooth gained 0 points today, but their 20 points from yesterday keeps them in second place!" Chapati continued on with the rankings.
