Summary:
Kudo Shinichi was kidnapped in age of eight, been missing for six years and soon appeared but not as innocent as he is. Kudo Shinichi became a Serial Killer. Full strength of police are on alert to take him down, dead or alive he must be captured.
Unknown to all, Kudo Shinichi was in near death was saved by a woman named Mysteria Night, the one who lead a small independent group of assassin in the underground world called Mafia. She with her little family, lover Checker Face and precious apprentice, Reborn took him back to Italy to keep him safe and if possible cure him.
Reaching in age of Seventeen, Kudo Shinichi with the young adult Reborn had decided to travel Japan, hoping to cure his amnesia and find his real identity but it seems it won't be simple only because of the Serial Killer who had used his identity to be famous and not only that but also could lead to answer about what truly happened to him before he was found.
Will he be able to undercover the killer's identity and clear his innocence or will the killer take the first strike to kill him.
The fight between the coming Detective, Hitman and current Phantom Thief Kaitou Kid vs the Human Experiment Mafia.

Kaitou Kid was gracefully dodging every thrust given by Rowena Gruzel, part of Gatti Famiglia's Great Nine. Rowena smirked in amusement as she changed her style to give a surprise attack but Kaitou Kid saw through her and immediately countered it with one of his tricks which was smoke bombs, causing her to miss the target.
Rowena mentally twitched before shifting to stab behind which Katou Kid currently located. Sensing he can't dodge it, he took a quick thinking to use his card gun to block her attack.
Kaitou Kid was mentally surprise by the strength of her attack, he's practically struggling from it but remain his poker face, not wanting to give her the pleasure of his struggle.
"Not bad for a thief." Rowena commented, "Here I thought you are just a showman thief who knows nothing about fighting, especially a civilian as well no matter how famous thief you are."
Kaitou Kid smirked, "Well thank you for such a wonderful comment my Lady. For me I never expect a beautiful lady like you to be part of such venomous organization such as this."
"How gentlemen." Rowena pulled her spear as the Rain Flame burst stronger that made Kaitou Kid switched his card gun to his real gun and shot her which was easily slashed by Rowena. Doing that also made Rowena felt something different about the used bullet until it clicked, "Dying Will Bullets huh, not many usually use that bullet this days."
Kid kept his poker face but mentally was amused by her words. "Indeed, not many use this kind of bullet, but right now its very helpful to my part against this organization."
"Indeed... yet!" Rowena's Rain Flame burst as her eyes reflect amusement and thirst of blood, "I'm far superior to you! Dying Will Bullet or not, you are nothing but a mere civilian!"
Rowena charge forward in great speed that Kid barely blocked and surprised by the change of strength.
'She gotten stronger? No this is...!' Kid slashed away and shoot her as he distances himself from her and felt the effect a while ago vanished. He immediately used his free hand to take his card gun then used it as a distraction while the main gun in right timing of strike. 'Her Flame is Rain flame with a property of tranquility, if I gotten near and let her flame affect me not only it will affect my strength but also my stamina. She is very different from Oniisan's Activation and Shin-chan's Materialization.'
Rowena seems to realize his thinking and began laughing as she charged forward while dodging the cards with tricks plus the Dying Will Bullet. "So even without Flame you became knowledgeable enough to realize what each flame characteristic could do. Now that I realize, I wonder why the Vindice hasn't done anything to you, after all it is forbidden to let the world know about the existence of flame."
Kaito kept his poker face, not showing any indication of what he's thinking before smirking. "Maybe because they are at our side?"
"Impossible, Vindice doesn't take sides." Rowena said before thrusting her spear ones again to attack. Kaito dodge it and continue to do so while she kept thrusting and slashing her spear.
It continued like that until Kaito felt the wall behind his back. This made Rowena smirk as she gave a quick Rain Flaming slash but was surprised when something hard which she's too late to realized its Dying Will Bullet stopped her swing and a card of four spade attached near to her right-side cheek that soon explode to smoke. It was suffocating as it's also mixed with powder. She stepped back and tried to get rid of it by swaying her spear left to right but it won't disappear. Her right eye was closed while her left eye was haft open and to her vision, Kaitou Kid disappeared on sight.
This made her angry, 'You won't get away from here... KID!' She spoke while her free hand is covering her mouth and nose to avoid inhaling both smoke and powder, "Running away now Kid, don't you wish to stop me or you actually wanted me to head straight to where that lab rat had gone to and finish him in front of you."
"Huhu that's quite scary my lady." Kaitou Kid's voice echoed around the room, blocking her way of knowing his location. "You should know I won't be running away, I did promised to protect Shinichi and... you made a gravest mistake." The end of his word had changed, it's no longer neutral nor amusement like it used to, this time more emotional, more deadly.
Still Rowena did not falter as she kept her spear ready in any kind of attack, be it a Dying Will Bullet or Card tricks she won't be falling for them again.
"I had never imagined the first battle I will start using this is actually against you, after all I had been saving this to your boss." Rowena kept looking around, guard up and ready to strike as she tries to find the hiding phantom thief. From his word he's hiding something and it's better to be ready from what's coming next, "Stop hiding thief, show yourself!"
That made the Phantom thief chuckled, "Hearing that from you is laughable my lady." She heard multiple sounds like popping and the smoke were becoming thicker. This made Rowena glared in anger, "Toying me huh, you're a bad thief." She tried to uncover her breathing but realized the powder were added as well so she covered it again. 'Damn it, I don't think they're harmful but it making me itch, don't tell me this powder are itch powders! But my skin is fine, what is this!?'
"I don't really want to harm you as I am a gentleman, but between you lady and Shinichi, you should know who I will immediately choose. My rules of No One Gets Hurt be damn, no one touches my lover."
Suddenly a circle of chain fell to her, pushing both of her arms down and tied. At the end there was a lock. This situation shocked Rowena, "WHAT!?" Speaking loudly was a big mistake as she began to choke from the surrounding powders and unable no notice an increasing chain surrounding her until she's wrapped by multiple chains with locks at each end. her fingers were locked as well to avoid her planning of escape and of course due to this that she had let go of her spear. The Spear flaming in Rain Flame soon disappeared leaving her normal spear on the floor. 'H-how could this happen!?'
"Now do you realize your mistake my lady?" She heard Kid's voice and also footsteps coming toward her. Soon Kaitou Kid revealed himself to her, he's actually behind her and face showing no emotion but eyes reflects anger. What shocked her the most was his on his right hand a violet flaming ring. Kaitou Kid is a FLAME USER!?
Kaitou Kid took a deep breath to calm himself, remembering the day he finally succeeds bringing out his flame.
Basement under Reborn and Shinichi's current home, between training under Reborn, Kaito kept asking him about Flame and a possibility if he too could bring out his flame like him and his lover. At first Reborn kept ignoring his plea and had him focus on his speed and accuracy instead until Reborn deem worthy to give him a shot. It took so much frustration for Kaito as he kept trying to bring out his flame, focusing on the only hint Reborn ones told him, "Turn your will into Flame". It took a while until he finally succeeded. He was overjoyed at first that he finally did it but when he saw his flame it changed his mood entirely. Because he knew this flame and, in all honesty, why does he have to have a same flame as that serial killer!?
His thinking was halted when Reborn smack his head with a mallet, making him cry in disbelief, "That hurts Oniisan! Why did you hit me!? A MALLET OF ALL THINGS TO MY HEAD!?"
"Because you are being an idiot." Reborn responded flatly. "So, what if you have a same flame as him, you are not the only one, besides it suits you."
"Why?" Kaito can't help but question, his face showing curiosity as well. "I mean looking at myself I would say I'm a good liar, a trickster, mask and magician. Knowing those characteristics, I believe I should be same as Shin-chan, an illusionist who hides the truth but give lies to others."
Reborn crossed his arms, "Is that what you believe?"
"Yes" Kaito honestly answered.
Reborn remain his eyes on him, making Kaito sweat and gulp in fear and nervousness because a still Reborn is nothing but dangerous. Expecting a coming bullet, Reborn gave a question instead. "What do you know about Cloud Flame Bakaito?"
'BAKAITO!? SINCE WHEN DID HE KNEW THAT!?' Kaito almost yelled but able to keep it upon himself, not wanting to be tortured by him. Instead he answered, "Cloud Flame is color violet and had an ability of expansion and multiplication."
Reborn remain silence, as if waiting for him to tell more. noticing that's all he knew, he sighs. "You know Mist Flame is materialization and the fact you know its nature which is to hid the truth and show the lie. What about Cloud Flame, what do you think its nature?"
"Its... nature...?" Kaito gave a thought to see what he thinks the Cloud Flame nature would be. Before he could find the answer, Reborn spoke them instead. "It's freedom."
"Freedom?" Reborn elaborated for teen to understand, "Those who possess Cloud Flame are the ones who doesn't like to be tied down in a single place, they prefer to be free and make decision upon themselves. Some people said to be they are aloof and quiet, doesn't like socializing but very open when comes to new experience." Reborn stared directly to his eyes. "For your case, even though you took the mantle and become Kaitou Kid all because you wish to find Pandora and give justice to the people who killed your father, you also learned how to enjoy on becoming a thief. Your knowledge expands as you create new tricks either to save yourself from the police or give joy to your audience, you don't like being in a simple area, you want it grand and extraordinary. For your personality what if you wear a mask, true you have lied at most of your life now that could be categorized as Mist but that's not only it. The Mask is you no matter what lie you made, you multiply yourself in a single being."
His words had widened Kaito's eyes in disbelief. It's like Reborn had known him for years for him to understand him better than himself.
"Besides if you train yourself how to control your flame, I believe you will be able to surpass Gero at all." Reborn commented that made Kaito widen in disbelief ones again. Before he could ask more Reborn added. "Not by experience but by resolve. Gero is supposed to be a cloud of freedom yet seeing him now, he's nothing but a Cloud chained down by Gatti Famiglia. Don't think yourself too high Bakaito."
"I...see..."
Kaitou Kid took a deep breath before facing the chained Rowena below him. In quick movement, some kind of jelly attach to her mouth, making her unable to utter a word except groaning noises.
"Be a good girl and stay here okay." Kaitou Kid said so sweetly that his eyes betrayed his voice. There's a threat in his eyes that even though she's a veteran killer it made her shiver in fear. Mentally, Kid is very thankful he got that from the Demon Spawn Reborn. He stood straight and left the place, ignoring her groaning noise like it telling him not to leave her alone.

Shinichi, Akai and Yusaku's location, the three kept pushing forward until out of nowhere, machine guns appeared and open fired against them. It would have been impossible to survive that surprise attack if aren't for Shin's quick materialization of barriers, shielding them from them. The teen used his free hand to immediately give five ball gadgets to Akai.
"Explosives." Shinishi's immediate explanation and Akai took them. Quick examination, he pressed the button to activate it and threw it to the nearest machine gun, it exploded, destroying it. He did the same to the others and all were destroyed. Shinishi brought the barrier down when he deemed it safe and quickly took a sun pill to recover his strength. Yusaku narrowed his eyes ahead and made a clarification, "Do you think we're getting near?"
"I hope so…" Shinishi could only say before making contact with Rich. Thankfully he answered and so Shinishi immediately went to the point, "Status please."
"Shin I'm glad you're still kicking." Rich first said with a sigh of relief before becoming serious, "The current situation below is kind of bad, one of their Great Nine, Nagaya Kizaru appeared at the third floor. Most were severe while the rest were unfortunately died but don't worry, Reborn appeared in right time before the death rate increase, already engaging battle against him."
Shinichi nodded, glad that Reborn got there in time. The two adults on the other hand were passive, continuing to listen without a word.
"Kaitou Kid also engaged against one of their Great Nine, Rowena Gruzel at the thirteenth floor, it ended a while ago and yes he won against her. I heard from his partner that he was safe and now heading to your location."
Shinichi was silently relief that his lover was safe and won against his opponent.
"How about your side?" Rich this time questioned and Shinichi didn't hold back as he explained grieffully about what transpired to their side. Rich merely nodded, not voicing the fact he's surprise when Shin mentioned his father was able to manifest his Dying Will Flame.
"Okay let me summarize this for a moment." Rich murmured. The three waits for brief seconds before they heard something from him again. "So, to sum this up! Out of Gatti's Great Nine, Fausto Li Graci, Nagaya Kizaru and only him were left standing against us before we could face the boss… or in this case the possibility is the two remaining plus their boss against us."
"Excuse me but do you know who the remaining one we still haven't face yet?" Yusaku stepped forward as he asked through their communicator. "Certainly Mr. Novelist. From our sources his name is Xavier Gatti or in Japannese Gatti Xavier, Enzo Gatti's only son and successor of Gatti Famiglia."
Everyone immediately took note of his name.
"His flame to know what to expect?" Akai immediately learned these group had flame so if he will face another one again, better be prepared than nothing.
"It's Thunder, its characteristic is hardening. For you to easily understand think of it as a flame that specialized defenses. He and Fausto possess it." Rich easily explained with no hesitation whenever to tell them about it or not, very different from Shin.
Akai took note to that.
"I just confirmed your location Shin, ahead there will be more traps but the way is heading all way down to the seventh floor. Our partner here successfully hacked and confirmed that the boss is on the seventh floor, waiting for your arrival."
That news gave them a grave expression. They're glad that they're nearing to their target but they couldn't help but worry due to their current strength. Two adults had skills to fight to survive but that didn't change the fact they're civilians in the eyes of the mafia while Shinichi was more adept and skillful enough to fight against them yet due to their battles, he was very much weak and could only rely on the sun pills to keep going.
"Kaitou Kid still needs time to regroup with you while Reborn was engaging with the enemy, I can't even recommend having the forces come to your aid as well." Rich added knowing well what they're thinking for he too sees the dire situation they're facing.
Akai unconsciously nodded, after experiencing himself fighting against their top fighters he immediately knew that none of the people bellow could face a single man unless they're ready to sacrifice many to take down one. Heck, this is no exaggeration at all.
"But we have no choice but to move forward, the more we delay the more victims may fall within their own hands." Shinichi reasoned and that hardened the firm and guts of the two adults. "We'll keep moving and deal as much damage as possible until Kid and Reborn arrive. Can I ask you that ones we engaged with the boss, lead the military out of the building just in case it went off hand?"
"Possible but in the end its their choice whenever to follow my instruction or ignore me and instead kept bugging me about who or where I am. I don't hold their life Shin so just in case don't blame me when they choose the second option." Rich reasoned with weak and defeat tone.
Yusaku couldn't help but shake his head helplessly, whoever this person is he's very same as Reborn. A person with no fate with people fighting for the sake of the Law. "Do not worry, they are not fool as you think they are." Yusaku assured the other side.
"If you say so Mr. Novelist." That liven Rich a bit. "I still have to inform Reborn and Kaitou Kid about your status. Be careful and stay alive."
With that their communication was cut off. The three looked to each other and nodded before they immediately run ahead, determine to end this quickly.

On the third floor, a powerful explosion just happened on the side of the building, making those who are outside on standby surprise from seeing the explosion. Then out of nowhere a man with a baseball bat appeared from the place of the explosion and currently falling down followed by the man wearing a familiar fedora who's chasing the man down.
Instead of them actually crashing on the ground, both flew on the side which didn't make sense. The two didn't care as they're more focus on the enemy in front of them.
Kizaru silently twitch as he kept flying away to make some distance but Reborn wouldn't let him as he increased his speed to chaise after him. Suddenly his communicator made a buzz sound then Rich's voice was heard.
"Shin's group are nearing to their Boss location, other than the one your facing only Fausto Li Graci and Xavier Gatti are left and most likely with their boss's location as well. Stop playing around and end that guy as soon as possible."
Reborn's eyes were shadowed, eyes were sharp and murderous, in quick move he disappeared on site.
Kizaru however knew he's still around and when he felt his presence behind him, he quickly slices his bat as he turned but met only air but met a knee strike to his face instead. To normal people that would certainly crush their face but he's a sun flame user, with his flame he was able to strengthen his whole body like armor but that didn't prevent him from taking damages.
Reborn raised his fist covered with his own sun flame and punched him down. Kizaru's body slammed on the ground with blood coming out from his mouth. He didn't expect this, Kizaru learned from Gesso about how strong this guy in front of him but he didn't expect this much. Who is this guy!?
Reborn didn't waste time and immediately used his special more, chaos shot against him. Kizaru flared his flame and immediately stood up and swing his baseball bat against all coming attacks then dashed forward to have another confront battle against him.

Seventh floor, Shinichi, Akai and Yusaku finally arrived after so much trouble with traps and men coming out to attack them. Shinichi with firm resolve pushed the door open and immediately pointed his gun to the people in front of him, behind him were adults ready to fight against them and mind immediately taking notes of their surroundings and especially the ones in front of them.
Two men stood before the man sitting leisurely, obviously expecting their arrival. The one standing on the left were immediately recognized and confirmed as Fausto Li Graci while the other man standing on the right was unknown to them but suspected him to be the man named Xavier Gatti.
"Finally, heh Number 01146 you really gave me a lot of headache and to think you could come this far… for the supposed guinea pig, I applaud you for coming this far." The man sitting commented but his eyes were reflected with nothing but sharp and boiling anger.
Shinichi wasn't fazed at it but it made him growl in anger, "Its' Kudo Shinichi." His tone was tin but with controlled anger. Yusaku followed, gripping tighter to his gun. "This is my son your talking to, Enzo Gatti." Not yours, you scumbags! were left unsaid but clear as day from his glare alone to tell them that.
Akai spoke in solid tone, "Enzo Gatti your organization will end this day. Surrender if you value your life."
That made Enzo grinned with boiling anger, "You… order me to surrender? How dare you! You are nothing but mare civilians who can't use dying will flame, so what if you are part of FBI agent? Your nothing!" He stood up and blazed his sun flame from his ring, in hand was his cane which Shinichi identified as his weapon. "I'm done waiting and talking. Fausto, Xavier don't you dare show me the same pathetic-ness like the rest of the Great Nine, eliminate the two except Number 01146, I have greater plans for that man."
The other man confirmed as Xavier Gatti brought out his weapon, a long double ball flail, with his ring, the two balls flared with his Thunder Flame. He merely nodded as an answer to his father, he will not fail him.
Fausto smirked at he brought out his gun from his right hand while to his left hand was his other weapon which was quite surprising, a fishing rod. "Will do boss, we will eliminate Akai Shuichi and Kudo Yusaku while we will leave Number 01146 alive to be your either play thing or test subject for our future."
Yusaku controlled his undeniable anger against Enzo, daring to take his son away from him again? No! He refused to let anyone especially these scumbags to take nor touch his son. Forcing to have a clear mind, he prepared his gun equipped with dying will bullets. This day, they will end and will be put inside to their own respective jail.
Akai felt the same with Yusaku, not as a father but as part of FBI. This people dare to harm this teen who had gone through so much shit and yet still not satisfied? Unforgivable, they will end here right here and right now!
Shinichi took a deep breath and with firm and greater resolve boiling to his flame, his Mist Flame burst. Mentally, his mind flashes a lot of people he had come to care and love. The family that took care of him back in Italy, Rich and Jii-san, Checker, his kind-of-like-brother-figure Reborn, his mother waiting at home, his father beside him and his lover, Kuroba Kaito the current Kaitou Kid. He refused to let anyone die here, never!
"Enzo Gatti" Shinichi murmured but loud enough for everyone to hear. The word escaped to his lips next however were very far from what they had expected to hear. "Aspettare l'inaspettato." (Expect the unexpected.)

Hello Readers, this author would like to apologize for not updating for so long. I made a note just to announce to everyone that this fic is not abandoned. Hiatus well yes but not abandoned. Due to reality life problems and writers block that it took long for me to write this, especially the battle scene.
