yeah after getting a really nasty review I felt compelled to write this chapter earlier than intended to clear up any confusion
Makarov ran to the guildhall door only to be stopped dead in his tracks by freed's rune magic.
He looks around to see who left, and beside the stone statue, only the dragon slayers and there exceeds remain.
In the corner, Wendy, Sting, and Rogue still shell shocked about this.
Then there Gajeel using all his will to hold in his rage at the sight stone statue Levy.
Lastly, Cobra was sitting there silently with Kinana at his side.
The biggest shock of all was Natsu, and Gray turned to stone.
After thinking about it makes sense Evergreen would go after Natsu. After all, he is a wizard saint.
Gray was caught in the middle.
"Gajeel, Cobra since Natsu is out of commission I need you two to put a stop to this"
"Do you even need to ask" they run towards the door only smack against the barrier.
It was then the rules of the enchantment displayed.
"Stone statue and anyone over 80 and users of slayers magic shall not pass."
"What in the hell is this?" Cobra yelled.
"It's freed's work meaning the only way to leave is to follow the rules," Makarov informed.
"Wait, Ultear!"
"Yes," she manages to get out of Natsu stone grasp, tears still in her eyes.
"Can't you use your magic to reverse the petrification on the girls, Gray, and Natsu?" Makarov asked.
"No, my magic only works on non-living objects like building and not people."
It was then Makarov notice Reedus, ordering him to see if Porlyusica to know if she can cure petrification.
Not wanting to anger the master, he did as he was asked.
Less than an hour passed, and runes stated less than half the guild remains.
After about 20 minutes, Reedus was taken out, leaving two hours left.
The only ones left were the dragon slayers of the guild plus Ultear and exceeds.
That was when the unexpected happened.
A strange noise could be heard, drawing everyone's attention to Natsu, Erza, and Gray.
When they looked, the godsend mark was glowing for a few moments before all three were broken from Evergreen spell.
"What happened?" Gray said
"You won't believe it," Makarov announced, getting the three attention.
"WHAT?" Gray shouts, slamming his hand against the barrier.
"Yes, unfortunately, you are the only one left. You have to stop Laxus."
That was when the number of participants just updated again.
"Who could that be?" Wendy asked
"Hmm, a member whos out of town often," Erza stated, getting grins from the others.
Wendy had a beaming smile of who that was.
"So how are we going to get past this barrier" Gray adds, seeing as Erza passed right through.
"I'm going to deal with Evergreen" Erza informed
"How do we know you won't be turned to stone" Cobra chimed in.
She showed off her godsends mark, getting a chuckle from her fellow godsends.
"Don't take too long."
"What should I do?" Ultear finally said
"Well I may have a way to get passed the barrier, but it comes with a huge risk," he said
"How?" everyone said in unison.
His response was his index finger burning a blue flame; it was then they recalled how dangerous these flames are.
Walks up to it, putting the flame to the barrier, adding some pressure to it before crack formed only to be burned away by the blue flames.
"Like that," he said with a smirk," Wendy gonna need you to heal any member you come across, Sting Rogue goes with. Ultear looks like you have another mess to clean up," he said that last part with a sheepish smile.
"And you?" she asked.
"Someone gotta take out the barriers."
"And," Gray added.
"Try and find Laxus, Gajeel, Cobra, you do the same.
With their orders given, they headed off.
5 minutes later, suddenly, all the girls were released from their stone prison.
"Looks like Erza beat Evergreen" next thing he knows he swamp by there questions.
With Natsu
One barrier after another, Natsu burned them away, buying his time till he has to face Laxus.
Thanks to his enhanced hearing, he can hear the three young slayers doing the task he gave them and Ultear restoring the town.
With Makarov
He just finished explaining to the girls what is going on.
Next thing he knew, a giant red skull formed from the runes stating now he has to surrender or suffer the thunder palace.
When they reached the top of the guild, they all saw lightning lacrima surrounding magnolia.
Bisca took a shot at one only to be struck by a massive bolt of lightning.
Cana explains to Lucy what happened to Bisca stealing there resolves to stop Laxus.
Natsu was busy destroying the barrier when the sky was suddenly engulfed in darkness.
"Hmm, the she-devil has returned" he went back to dealing with the barrier.
From his hearing, once more, he could hear Levy manage to get past the runes as well, making his job easier "looks like it's time to deal with Laxus now."
With Laxus
Right now, Laxus was being plagued by his childhood memories.
"Why is this happening now?"
He gets and walks around to clear those memories before he is confronted by one of the most secretive members in the guild.
Their conversation went like last time before dishing out spells getting Natsu and Erza attention.
When they finally made it, Laxus and Mystogan were in the heat of battle.
The sight of Erza caused Mystogan the lower his guard only for Laxus to reveal his face to her.
Erza was shocked by this "Jellal?"
"Erza, I'll explain later deal with the thunder palace!" Natsu said in a tone, leaving no room for argument.
"Fine and you, Jellal?"
"I'll be at the guild waiting then," he said before fading out of existence.
Erza was still shaken by this revelation only to be struck by lightning, thanks to Laxus.
Laxus shot out another bolt toward her only for Natsu to block the attack.
"Erza, leave him to me. Someone has stopped him before the thunder palace activates."
This got Erza out of her stupor before giving him a smile," just don't die, Natsu."
"You don't have to worry about that" with those words, Erza left Natsu and Laxus.
"And where do you think you're going?"
"Someone has to stop the thunder palace."
"You sure even attacking one of those will put you down for the count."
"Then I'll just have to destroy them all."
"You have one hell of a death wish, Erza."
"Natsu doesn't go easy on him."
"Do you even need to ask" was all he said as she left to two powerhouses.
With Erza
She ran to the north side of town, pulling out all her blades before she was confronted by the other slayers.
"What the hells going on, Erza?" Cobra asked
"You see those Lacrima if those go off magnolia is finished."
"What!"
"You heard me Natsu facing Laxus if he can't beat him, we need to act now."
"There no way you can destroy them all," Gray said, making his presence known.
"We don't have time to argue. Just take out as many as you can"
Erza continued to summon her swords.
"Damn wait!" he bolted off to someone who could help deliver a message.
He soon found warren with his help. Everyone in fairy tail was ready to go.
With Natsu and Laxus
Natsu and Laxus were going full force with their own magic.
Laxus didn't hesitate to reveal his secret to a fellow slayer.
"Let see who the stronger Dragon Natsu" his up body started to expand as black scale formed on his arms.
Natsu followed suit, building up his magic as well.
They charged at each other, dishing out iron fist after iron fist attack dealing very little damage to the other.
They were brought out of there fight for a moment when the sound lightning erupted all across magnolia.
"Looks like your plan is over, Laxus."
"I don't need the thunder Palace to take over the guild."
He grinned evilly as he brought his hands together "this time it ends here."
"Don't tell me!" (I was going to gloss over this part, but after watching the episode it was too EPIC not to include)
"Yes, it's...FAIRY LAW," he shouts before the whole town was overwhelmed by a blinding yellow light.
When the spell was over, Laxus had smirk for a second, but he lost it at the site of completely unharmed Natsu.
"How I cast the fairy law perfectly."
"you've inherited more than your grandfather's power deep down. You also have the master's heart," freed spoke.
It was at this time gajeel. Levy, Gray, and Ultear showed up throwing in there two Jewel.
"That Ridiculous the truth is anyone who dares stand in my way IS MY ENEMY."
"This had gone on long enough," freed stated as laxus was charging up his magic again.
"Let the old man die for all I care. HE'S NOTHING TO ME HE MAY BE FAMILY BUT I'M STRONGER" his magic was fully charged again. Lighting arc of his body in all directions.
"Who do you think you are? You're not stronger than gramps. You couldn't even pull of fairy law. You may be his grandson, but you're no better than the rest of us. don't you know blood ties don't matter because everyone in the guild is considered family!" Natsu retorts as flames roared to life around him before taking the form of a dragon.
"THAT JUST A LIE BLOOD TIES DO MATTER!" his eyes turn white as the lighting continued arc of him.
"YOU'VE BEEN A MEMBER LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER THAN THAT IF YOU THINK THAT MAKES YOU ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE IS THE GUILD...YOUR WRONG"
"AND YOUR DEAD" the two fist attack collided with so much force it sent to two soring out of the church resulting in a real clash of dragons.
Natsu made the mistake of letting his guard down for a second and was slammed into the roof only to be thrown to the opposite side.
This just where he wanted to be "your gonna have to use your strongest slayer spell to take me down" he was hoping Laxus would take the bait.
"Is that so? Hmm, LIGHTNING DRAGON ROAR!" he shouts, sending a beam of lightning straight toward Natsu, who could only smirk.
When the attack was made, Laxus had a smirk on his face before he hears the tell tail sound of slurping" you idiot Natsu, you know that won't work," he chuckles evilly.
But he continued his meal only to swallow it whole "hehe thanks for the meal Laxus, LIGHTING FIRE DRAGON ROAR." Laxus was frozen with fear at those words as he took a direct hit of the combine elements.
When the spell was done, Natsu could only look at the slight chard unconscious form of Laxus.
"Looks like I win," he said before collapsing as well.
Several hours later
With the help of Ultear, the city of magnolia looked like the battle never happened.
Natsu was sitting in the main hall, mildly bandaged up after his fight with Laxus.
True, he could have used dragon force and end it there, but he needed the taste of dragon lighting before he could help Meredy with her magic.
Speaking of which, she didn't last long in the battles as she used up all her magic energy in the first few battles.
Ultear was by his side along with Mystogan with Wendy.
"So mind explaining this," Erza said sternly.
"I would like to know as well," a new voice rang out.
Everyone turned to see Makarov standing next to Siegrain.
"I think we're going to need more room for this conversation," Ultear chirped.
After moving a few tables, the two jellal were sitting across from each other with everyone crowded around.
Erza was next Siegrain wanting answers.
Natsu and sitting next to Jellal with Wendy on his other side.
"My name is Jellal, more precisely, prince Jellal of edolas," he said sternly.
"I heard about edolas during my time with the council. I never thought I would meet my counterpart."
"I never thought this day would come also."
"Why are you here in earthland Mystogan I can still call you that right" Erza asked
"That is fine. I prefer it actually, so I'm not confused with earthland, Jellal."
"Why are you here, Mystogan?" his counterpart asked.
He looks to Natsu, who only nods "simple, unlike earthland magic Edolas magic is a limited resource."
"Hmm," everyone said
"long ago, Edolas developed a spell to absorb magic energy from earthland."
"That doesn't sound so bad," Wendy said innocently.
"If only it were that simple. Everything in earthland from the ground below and skies above is laced with magic energy. When the anima activates, it sucks up everything containing magic, leaving nothing but wasteland in its wake" this got shocks all around.
"But for some reason. Those who possess dragon slayer magic and who are from edolas don't have to worry about that."
"What are you saying?" the white-haired exceed asked, having a feeling something was off the moment she met him all those years ago.
"I'm saying if you got caught in an anima, you all would be converted into magic energy in the form of a lacrima."
"I take it you came here to stop this king."
"Yes," this time, it was panther lily who answered.
"We came over to earth land together."
"They why did you find me?" Gajeel said
"Remember those who are from edolas or dragon slayers are immune to the anima. I went looking for a dragon slayer who might help him stop them, and I did" this got a grin from dragon slayer.
"In case you're wondering, I've been helping him close them from time to time," Natsu threw in.
"has ultear been helping?"
there was a momentary pause before she answered, "yes."
going off the sudden pause, many were quick to not pry further knowing her involvement was a touchy subject
"So, what will you do now?" Erza said firmly.
"There are still anima's left to close, so I will be leaving soon."
That put an end to most of the questions as the two Jellal's still conversed for the remainder of the night. After all, it's not every day you meet your counterpart from another world.
"I think it's time to introduce Ur," He whispered to her, causing her to have a small smile.
"Everyone there someone I want you to meet," Ultear said proudly.
It was then Ur made herself known to the whole guild, and to be expected, she got the eye of the older generation.
Ultear by her side, giving everyone a shocked expression at the resemblance.
This proved that once again, there are indeed mother and daughter.
"How is this possible" a random guild member said.
Natsu, with the aid of Gray, told them how this is possible and made it extra clear not speak a word of this with people outside the guild before giving a firm glare at Siegrain to keep his trap shut.
Siegrain simply nodded, letting him know the secret is kept.
This led to more questions and answers for about half an hour.
They were cut off when the last person they wanted to see shows up looking for his grandfather.
"He's in the infirmary resting" Natsu informed
"Thanks," he said under his breath, getting grin for his fellow slayers.
With Makarov (again was gonna gloss over but left it in because of the feels)
Makarov was resting after the stress Laxus both him through before said man entered.
"Their a rowdy bunch, aren't they."
He sat up, "Laxus, I don't think you understand the seriousness you have done. Look me in the eyes, young man! Fairy tail is a place where friends can get together wizard can find work. And where children with no kin to call their own can feel like their part of a family. It's not something that can be owned. It's important that each member not be loyal but trustworthy; otherwise, no bonds will be formed, and the entire guild will eventually fall apart. Your action have proved you lack both of those qualities, and you threatened the lives of your comrades that unforgivable."
"I'm sorry sir, honestly I never meant to hurt the guild" he takes a step to his grandfather" I just wanted to make it stronger."
Makarov takes stand "I swear you're just as high strung as I am, you better try and relax, or you'll end up here with me, take some time to smell the roses. If you do, you'll be able to see things you couldn't see before, and you'll hear things you'll never be able to hear. Life can be a lot of fun if you allow it to be"
Laxus, overwhelmed with his emotion, looked away.
"Over the years I have watched you grow into the man you are today we did we go wrong, what lesson did you not learn, but the past is the past. I am left now with only one choice."
A moment of silence was born between grandfather and grandson.
"Laxus, you are hereby expelled from fairy tail."
"I understand, thanks for everything," he said before walking away "grandpa you take care of yourself ok old man?"'
He didn't see it by Makarov was tearing up from his decision.
"Please just go" he struggled to say
The next day
Fireworks were in the sky overhead as the fantasia parade was in full swing.
Parade after another passed through magnolia, each member of fairy tail showing off their magic to the crows below.
One float has Cana showing off her card magic.
In another Bisca, Lucy and Levy were doing what can only be described as ribbon dance.
The next was the take over siblings showing off their transformations.
The next one after that was Gray and Juvia, showing a grand display of water and ice magic.
This whole time many familiar faces showed up for the parade from lullaby to the tower of heaven were in the crowd.
Erza was doing a marvelous sword display but couldn't help but pause for a brief moment from seeing Jellal, Simon, and the other as the watch the parade with glee.
To no surprise, Natsu was next doing a grand fire display, not even bother to hide his three other flame types.
"Master got that information you wanted," Cobra said, handing a piece of paper to Makarov.
"Thanks to my boy, I know it wasn't easy getting this being in the guild for so long."
"Don't mention it having a tough guy attitude all the time help me this time and it was fun, he had no idea I was a double agent for the past couple of years."
"Guess we can thank PhantomLord fail attempt to recruit me. Ivan was drawn like a moth to a flame."
"You ready master it about that time?"
"Sorry, but my public needs me."
This whole time Laxus watching the parade as he passed through before holding his hand with thumb and index finger in l shape.
He brought from this thought as all of the fairy tail gave the salute.
Tears were running down his face.
"Ultear, why aren't you in the parade," Ur asked seeing his daughter watch from a balcony above.
"I would be I'm still exhausted from fixing the town yesterday," she said with a small smile, but Ur knew she was hiding something.
"I know that look what's on your mind?"
"I talk with jellal earlier, and it's about that veronica girl, the one who took my place in grimoire heart."
"What did he say?"
"Apparently she's missing. No one has been able to find her, and I can't say I'm surprised at all."
"There has to be more to it than that?"
"Well, going off what I remember from my time there, I used my thought projection and found that the keys for their plan are gone."
"Is there any left?"
"The last part of their plan is on tenrou islands."
"What are you and Natsu going to do then?"
"All we do know is neither side is prepared for what's coming."
"The dragon?"
"Yes"
"Can't Natsu stop it?"
"No, as strong as Natsu is, even though he's training the others, they won't be strong enough to stop him."
"Then what are you going to do then."
"Hmm, when times are tough, fairy tail always pulls out on top by having faith in each other," she said cryptically.
Ur was not a fan of that tone, not in a gentle way, all she could deduce is she'll find out when the time comes.
"but one thing is for sure Zeref well be expecting Natsu."
Later that night
After the parade had come to its completion, everyone went home for the night.
Just before nasty and the other made it home, nasty had this strange feeling he was being watched.
"you guys go on ahead I need to check something, it shouldn't take long."
"you sure niichan?"
"positive"
After about 5 minutes of walking, he stops in the center of the forest far away from magnolia.
"you can come out now I know you're there."
He heard a squeal from the bushed before a woman with long blond hair came walking out from her hiding spot.
"my memory still a little fuzzy, but if I remember it's, Anna. heartfilia"

let's be honest we all wanted to see a meeting between the two Jellals
if all your gonna leave is flames in your reviews then don't bother writing them cause it really pisses me off
I work so hard to write these chapter yet I still get haters
sometimes I'm tempted just to stop writing altogether because of the haters but I'm too stubborn
that and I don't want to disappoint my readers
