Bella was completely lost. She had no idea what had happened. All she knew was that Jared text her to come find him and went she got their she found a naked Jared, a huge white and black wolf and an angry looking pack. `

So here she was sitting on Jared's back porch as his little sister raged at him. Calling him all kinds of names and did she mention that they were both still naked? And to make matters worse Bella felt some strange connection to the girl. Like a mother hen worried over her chicks and she honestly didn't understand it and Jared had not taken the time to explain. However, she did have an idea. From the way Raven had looked at her in wolf form and just stared at her, Bella could pretty much guess. An imprint. Raven Cameron had imprinted on her. A twelve-year-old had imprinted on her. Did she know exactly why? Heck no but Bella had a guess. The spirits had told her to be the the peacekeeper. The bridge or some thing like that but it still didn't explain why the little girl had imprinted on her.

"You imprinted on her too."

Bella jumped and looked around. No one was behind her and Jared was still arguing with his sister so who-

"your overthinking things, come into the living room."

Bella sat for a minute. Ok, now she was hearing voices and now they wanted her to come into the living room? She had seen enough scary movies to Not do that. However,…she did feel a strange pull, urging her to go.

Well what else did she have to lose? So Bella decided. Go into the living room and follow the voices. Whoohoo, ten points for crazy.

Bella's mouth dropped when she did creep into the living room. It was completely different. There was a fire, the walls were painted a dark red and sitting in a huge lazy boy was an old man.

"Bella, I have been waiting for you. Come on in and have a seat. We have much to discuss in such a short time."

Bella didn't move. How could she? There was a random man telling her to sit down in a living room that did not look like this.

"I know your probably confused but I assure you, I have plenty of answers."

Bella finally shook her fear and sat down from across the old man.

"My name is Taka aki and you my dear one have been chosen."

Bella eyes went wide. Taka aki, from the legends Billy would tell them?

"Yes, I am that taka aki. Now listen carefully Bella. I Believe you were told by the spirits that you were to be a bridge? A peacekeeper between the supernatural worlds and that is true. However, the pack is your main concern. And as I told you before, Raven did imprint on you but You imprinted on her as well. yes, I know you're not a wolf, but you are a marked mate, the only marked mate in centuries. However, that's not the only reason why. Bella do you know that you are Related to the aterea's? A distant relative of yours was married to the one you all call old quill. The spirits have searched for someone like you for centuries. Someone that can understand…Someone that can take Elder quill's place…when it's time. Do you understand?"

Bella looked at the man like he had two heads. She still did not understand.

"Bella swan. Let me define it clearly. You are to be the next Tribe shaman, healer, elder whatever they call it these days. You will be the one the pack turns to when hurt. You will be the one the next chief turns to for wisdom. Don't you understand? Does it not make sense? The connection with Jacob black? the vampires fighting over you? Meeting The cold ones? It was all for a reason! You are the only person. The only human who can tell both sides of the story and not have a biased opinion. Does it make sense now?"

Bella was suddenly hit with an ephinany. It did make sense but that didn't mean she would enjoy it. heck, she didn't even want it but then again wasn't she the one who always wanted to help defend everyone else when a threat came?

"Raven and Jared are your first goals. Get them to calm down and then go see old quill. He will be waiting for you. Oh and Bella, be what raven needs. This imprint between you two is not the same. Its completely different. Everything else will fall into place."

Bella gasped for breath as she found herself back in Jared's box filled living room. She quickly looked around to see that everything was back to normal. There was no fire, no red walls and no huge chair either. Bella quickly sprinted out to the backyard where she found Jared and Raven phased and attacking each other.

"JARED AND RAVEN CAMERON STOP IT RIGHT NOW! GET AHOLD OF YOURSELVES AND PHASE BACK!"

Her voice had been so full of power it made them phase back instantly.

"its time to stop this useless arguing. Now listen here, I'm going to visit my father and when I get back, we are all going to sit down and have a long talk. Now put some clothes on and clear out the kitchen. We will cook something when I get back."

Bella was trembling now. Meeting taka aki, the imprint and a new purpose, it was all so overwhelming. She needed some time to gather her bearings.

Carlisle Cullen look through the patients charts and had a solution for each one of them. Being a doctor for centuries would do that to you. He's seen almost everything and-

Carlisle's thoughts froze. In the air was the scent of vanilla, strawberries and anxiety.

His future daughter in law had been on his mind for days but there was nothing he could do with the wolves around and with her not answering her phone it was hard to get into contact with her.

He was ashamed, honestly. Ashamed of what his son had done and actually a little angry. His son knew better then to put his hands on a woman especially a human woman. But the tiny Brown eyed girl had a special place in the doctor's heart, and he needed to see her.

With his mind made up, Carlisle Cullen followed her scent and the specific beat of her heart. However just as he was coming upon Charlie swans' room, he stopped. The conversation that was happening was one he did not expect.

"You mean to tell me that the Cullen's are vampires, Jacob and his friends are werewolves and they hate each other?"

"yes, that's exactly what I'm saying dad and I'm so sorry I didn't tell you before …I just couldn't but with these…changes going on, I know we will still need some normalcy. Oh dad…I missed you so much and I was so scared. I thought I lost you."

"Well, baby girl, I can assure you that you were the first person on my mind. I saw that bullet coming but I just couldn't dodge it and then they're was that little girl. She wasn't paying attention, so I just jumped In front of her. but all I could think about was you and how much of a crappy father I had been."

"dad- "

"no bells just listen. I have not been the father i know you deserve and the father I know I could be. I let you do what you wanted to do, and instead of spending time with you. I sat in front of that Damn T.V, Not caring whether you needed to talk, or whether you needed me. I was stuck in my own little world."

Carlisle stiffened when he heard the chair scoot on the hard floor but then he realized that no one was coming out. Instead, it sounded like Bella had went to hug her father.

"I was stuck in my own little world too dad. Its why I told you about the pack and the Cullen's. I don't want to keep any secrets from you."

"well bells I promise you, Once I wake up, I'll do right by you."

Carlisle's eyebrows went up. Did Charlie think he was still asleep?

"Carlisle please come in here and prove to my father that he is awake."

He was shocked. How did she know he was there?

With ease he walked into the room giving Bella a questioning and yet admonishing look.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm going through some changes. So, my hearing and sense of smell is a little better. Now any who. Prove to my father that you are a supernatural creature, He needs to know Carlisle. That way, he knows what to look for. I mean what if it had ben a vampire that attacked him. He would have had no idea what to look for. It's ridiculous! Please just show him."

Carlisle was conflicted. If he showed Charlie his true nature, then it would just add another human placed in danger.

However, the power radiating off Bella made him think otherwise. So, Carlisle quickly closed Charlies door and grabbed a scalpel. He then Proceeded to stab himself which only bent the metal of course.

Charlie's eyes went huge.

"do something else." He urged.

Carlisle ran from one wall to another in a blur of speed.

Charlie's mouth dropped open.

"Holy shit"

"dad..." Bella scolded

"sorry bells. Well ill be darn, its true. So Jacob and his friends turn into giant dogs?" Charlie asked

"wolves dad." She corrected.

"well Charlie since I'm here. I would like to check your vitals and see how your doing?" Carlisle asked

Charlie only grunted. Giving his silent permission. Bella however knew that he was in deep thought and right now she would not interrupt him.

When Bella walked into the police station everyone froze. They hadn't Expected her to be here for at least another week but instead she walked into the station, sat a basket of muffins on the table and went to the front desk and began answering phones.

After her third phone call, she looked up and noticed everyone staring.

"What?" she questioned "just because dads down doesn't mean I am too besides he's awake and he's ready to get back to work asap. So quit gawking and get back to work."

The police station filled with laughter as Bella face turned tomato red.

"great to have you back bells!" Deputy mark shouted with glee.

Jared smelled her before he saw her, and he was out the front door in the blink of in eye. He quickly swept his mate up and kissed her beautiful face.

"god, I missed you." Jared sighed

He heard her giggle and say "I missed you too Jared. Both of you. I'm sorry I ran out the way I did. I was just overwhelmed and I'm sure both you and Raven were as well. Anything happen while I'm gone?"

Jared growled lowly as he told her how Sam had stopped by and ordered them to attend the bonfire tomorrow. "he said you were not invited. He then proceeded to tell me how you were not welcome on the reservation and that you needed to leave and if the pack caught you, they would be forced to remove you."

He was trembling now.

"I don't get it Bella. He saw into raven's head. He saw the imprint. Of course, he didn't see the marking, my mind is closed off from them. They can't hear me. But none of that matters because my mate is imprinted to my sister."

The words were filled with venom and bitterness.

"oh babe. The imprint between your sister and I is not romantic what so ever. If anything, my instincts towards her are strictly maternal. She just needs some guidance and attention. Something I'm sure your parents wouldn't give her. It does not change my love for you or my priorities. But I will tell you that there are some…changes going on that you are not aware off and I can't explain it right now, but I will."

Jared buried his head into the crook of her neck and purred.

"I trust you Chabelita. I'm not worried about a thing, but I will tell you the sexual frustration is real. And I know were not ready, but I do have to be honest with you, I'm going to marry you one day and one day soon."

Bella's eyes went huge. Marriage? She hadn't broken off her own engagement with Edward! What was her life coming too!

Bella was brought out of her thoughts when she saw the lone figure sitting on the porch.

It was raven.

Bella instantly felt the urge to go the girl. She motioned for Jared to put her down and Bella took hesitant steps toward the twelve-year-old.

"Raven?" she called softly

"I don't want this. I don't want to be a hairy freak!"

Bella felt her heart stop. The poor girl, thrown into the supernatural so young.

"you're not a freak Raven. How about you help Jared and I cook dinner and I can help explain some things to you."

The young girl hesitated but stepped into the young women's open arms. Maybe she wasn't such a freak after all.

Sam uley paced wildly in the council hall. Old quill had yet to show up and no one knew where he was. The events of the day were making the young alpha paranoid and full of exhaustion. Just what in the world was going on?

Old quill sat under the tree in shock. His fate had been sealed and his successor had been chosen, He just hadn't expected the young swan. He just prayed she came quickly.

Time was running out.
