Rey finished the set of stances and swings for advanced lightsaber combat that they'd been working on and suddenly froze.
"Rey?" Jayd asked, "Are you alright?"
Rey glanced at her with uncertainty and then looked back to where she'd been focusing before.
"Yes, she's here," Rey said, seemingly to nobody, "She's fine. They're both fine."
"Rey, what's going on?" Jayd asked.
Rey stood frozen for a while longer, focused intensely on a single point in the distance, before she finally broke free.
She sat on the ground as if exhausted. Jayd sat next to her.
"It was Ren, wasn't it?" she asked.
"He didn't know about the baby," Rey said.
"No," Jayd said, "I was taken here even before I knew."
"Well, he knows now," Rey said, "He wants to find you."
"And unfortunately, we can't let that happen until he decides to turn back to the light," Jayd said.
Rey gulped and nodded.
"He mentioned this connection you two have," Jayd said, "How does it work? Can you see where he is or do you just see him?"
"It's...strange," Rey said, "I feel that it's been getting stronger each time. I couldn't see where he was."
"Let's hope it was the same for him," Jayd said.
