Chapter Twenty-Three
"Come now, Addison," Abigor instructed one night as he had her crawl out of the house. He loaded her into the back of a van with a cage waiting for her inside. He handed Chris a wad of money before hopping into the front seat and driving off.
It's dark and quiet in her cage. Somehow, she managed to get some sleep. It's probably the best sleep she'd gotten in months. She'd only awaken when the van door opened and the sun's rays shone brightly into it.
"Up," he instructed as he opened the cage and she crawled out. There was another van that greeted her but with a smaller cage. They would switch vans a few times before getting to their destination.
Abigor parked the van and hopped out. She could hear voices, it sounded like they were yelling. Gunshots followed and then there was silence. The van door raised open and the men who greeted her were not Abigor. They grabbed her by the cage and lifted her out of the van unto the ground as she begged and pleaded for them to just let her go. They lifted her into the back of their van and drove her back to their home in Pamelia, New York.
They kept her caged for the first couple of days and the moment they let her out, she attacked them resulting in her getting beaten to death. The family, panicked, drove her body 30 miles upstate and dumped her into a river where she was found by a fisherman and his son two days later.
