Hearing his name, Rin ran towards the voice. He didn't understand the desperation in Akira's voice until he reached the entrance of the base. Cursing under his breath, he leaped towards the pair on the ground. "Do you know how he got here?" he questioned, running a quick survey of injuries.
"No, he was already here when I stepped out," she choked out, already dressing some of the wounds. Clenching his fists for a moment, he released them before lifting Ayaki up. "You'll be able to treat him better inside," he gritted. He walked back inside and directly went into the infirmity. Walking behind him, Akira watched on in sadness.
"We heard…" Sheimi responded before trailing off as she took Ayaki's form in Rin's arms. "Kimoto-san, would you like some help?"
"It would be much appreciated," Akira answered, giving a small smile in return. Giving a firm shake of her head in agreement, Sheimi turned to Izumo. "You can help me with whatever Kimoto-san asks of me Izumo-chan."
"Alright." Following behind, Rin gently laid Kawasaki on a bed. He stepped back knowing he would get in the way. Numbly he could hear Akira giving Sheimi and Izumo orders on what supplies to gather. Akira had a pair of scissors in her hand cutting the clothes that were in the way.
Swallowing, Rin walked out of the room. His chest felt tight, making it hard to breathe. His lungs tighten in protest at the lack of air entering his body. Fisting his shirt, he leaned heavily against the wall for support. He could feel a sense of darkness coming.
"Rin!" Yukio called, rushing to his brother. "What's?" Yukio pressed before falling silent. Reaching for the hand on Rin's chest, Yukio opened it and placed the palm against his own. "Rin, I need you to feel and mimic my breathing," he ordered, taking a deep breath.
Rin dizzily stared at his brother, trying to follow along. It took a few minutes before both could relax; both for different reasons. "Will you be okay, or do you want me to take you to the infirmity?" Yukio questioned, keeping a hold on his brother.
"Room," Rin croaked. Silently, Yukio took him to his room, keeping an eye on him as they walked. Entering, Yukio quickly placed him into the bed and covered him with the blanket. Silence filled the room for a moment, Yukio staring at his brother. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"No." Knowing it was best to not fight it, Yukio gave a nod and left the room. When the door closed behind his brother's back, Rin turned on his side. Maybe some sleep will do him some good.
Akira was sitting by Ayaki's side, holding his hand. She knew that he would be in a coma for a while until he woke up on his own. That much was clear. "Kimoto-san, we're going to let the others know of Kawasaki-san's return," Izumo stated, standing by the door with Sheimi. "Alright."
Akira was left alone once more, knowing that she would be interrupted once everyone knew about Ayaki. Hearing approaching footsteps down the hall, she was surprised about the news already flying around. Unless it was who she thought it was. She pulled her eyes away to see Rin opening the door to the room. "Keeping Ayaki company?" she inquired, her eyes leaving Rin.
"That's right. There's not much else I can do besides train. Even if I were to try anything, you and Yukio would do something to stop me."
"You're correct on that. We already have one person down; we don't need another." Rin didn't give her an answer, knowing fully well how accurate that statement is. It wasn't long until the rest of the others stepped into the room to check on Ayaki. No one really said anything as they kneeled by the bed. A loud pop sounded right by Rin.
Rin didn't flinch, figuring who it would be already. "Mephisto, how nice of you to join us."
