"I can't find Luna!" Draco rushed out as he crashed into his parent's bedroom. Lucius sat up with a groan, casting a tempus and internally cursing at the hour.

"Dragon, it is six in the morning." Narcissa said, pushing herself up at the side of her husband. "She will be asleep in her own bed."

"Uncle Moony put her in with me last night." Their son replied, shaking his head furiously. "All of her clothes have gone out of her room, and I can't find Lovegood." This caught the elder Malfoys' attentions.

"What do you mean her clothes are gone?" Narcissa asked.

"I mean everything, her wardrobe is open and empty, as are all of her drawers, the only things left in there are the robes she was using for Hogwarts.

"Show me." Lucius ordered, throwing off the covers and slipping his feet into his slippers. Draco took hold of his father's hand and practically dragged him towards his sister's bedroom. He'd been so stupid, Uncle Moony had told him to look after her and now she was gone, this was all his fault, why hadn't he woken up? "Merlin's balls." Lucius swore at the sight of the room, Luna's paintings had been pulled down off the walls, and what little was left of her belongings had been strewn across the floor. The only thing left in tact was the pile of Yule gifts she had been given by the rest of the family. Narcissa hurried up behind them, Remus and Sirius in tow and all three of them let out a string of explicatives that would have had Draco blushing if he hadn't witnessed Carina's language.

"He's going to pay for this." Sirius growled, his magic cracking around him. "In Circe's name I will make him pay." Narcissa lit her wand and turned a frosty glare to her lord.

"What in Avalon's name do you know about this?" She snapped. "Tell me where she's gone!" Lights were soon flicked on in the hall as Neville, Hermione and Harry all stepped into the hall, rubbing their eyes.

"What's going on father?" Harold asked. "Where's Luna?"

"Get the Longbottoms, Grangers, Severus and my Grandmother up." Sirius snapped at Remus. He would apologise later of course, but it lent a sense of levity to the situation when the Black lord would dare to snap at his mate. Remus nodded, his amber eyes worried as he set off down the hall. "Everyone in to the kitchen, now." Sirius ordered, ushering Draco out of Luna's room and closing the door on the scene. There was no arguments as the two adults and four kids set off down the stairs. Sirius blew out a half sigh, half growl before stalking up to his study, praying that the young girl was still wearing her Yule present from him and Remus.

Xeno swore when he found his daughter in the arms of the Malfoy boy, he was too much a light sleeper not to notice him taking his daughter so he cast a silent sleeping charm on the pair of them and lifted Luna out of the bed, wrapping her in her house robe and pulling her hood up. He cast a tempus and blew a sigh of relief at the time. It was half five, still plenty of time to get away before the rest of the occupants of the manor started to wake. It had been risky, the sleeping charm on Draco, it would be found later, Narcissa was too thorough not to miss it, but he needed the extra time to get his daughter away from these monsters.

"They will pay for what they have put you through my dandelion." He whispered, tucking her hair into her hood. "They will pay for everything." He lifted up the bag that contained everything he could grab from her room and made his way downstairs and out into the snow. As soon as he was past the ward line he took one more look at the manor before turning on the spot and leaving the place behind.

Upstairs Draco started to stir. If there was one thing you didn't do, it was cast a sleeping charm on the scion to the house of Malfoy. His parents had tried it when he was a baby, waking them up at all hours, he had tried it himself when he found himself unable to sleep against Luna's light, even Severus had been known to attempt it once or twice, all with the same results; him waking back up ten minutes later, more awake than he had been before the charm had been cast. This was Xeno's mistake. Within half an hour the whole manor was awake and in outrage.

"He dares to kidnap my baby sister?" Carina growled dangerously, her purple magic starting to twist out of her. Hermione had been unable to hold back the Black girl once she'd heard the news; Carina's rage was just too strong for her so she had beat a tactical retreat in the hopes of laying some logic down in their mind as events unfolded. "He dares to betray our house, and our trust by stealing the person keeping us all sane? He will die by my hand." Her magic getting more out of control despite Remus and Sirius's attempts to soothe it. "I will laugh as his blood spills out of his veins. I will end his life with my own hands for this treachery." It didn't help matters that the rest of her siblings shared her sentiments, or that the adults had just as much rage simmering under their skin. If they had sat and thought, they might have been able to use their bond to find their sister, as it was, the four remaining children could only feel barely contained rage at what had happened to their baby sister.

"Carina!" Emma Granger snapped, her eyes wide at the sound of the girl's voice, dripping with venom. "That is not the way to deal with this. You know better than that. Use that keen mind of yours and think of what killing him will achieve. I taught you better than this." At the sound of her foster mother's voice Hermione's will slammed against Carina's shields, shouting with all her might to use their bond. Carina's purple eyes grew wide and a nasty grin settled on her features.

"We can find her." She sang in a voice reminiscent of Bellatrix and Sirius could only shiver at the sound of his crazy cousin's voice coming out of his little girl. She turned to the rest of her siblings, her eyes shining in the low light of the kitchen. "We can use our bond." Harold and Neville grinned whilst Draco continued to look at the floor, as he had been doing for the past quarter of an hour, ignoring everyone above him as they had argued.

"It's my fault." He whispered. "Uncle Moony told me to look after her and I didn't wake up. I should have woken up and saved her. I should have known." Narcissa discreetly cast an old healer's examination spell and sighed when her suspicions were confirmed.

"He cast a sleeping charm on you Dragon." She whispered, bending down to smooth his hair away from his face. "That is why you woke up when you did. This is not your fault, if anything you have given us the biggest weapon in our arsenal this morning. You have given us time. He cannot be more than an hour's apparate away which means we will still be able to trace him."

"There is no need." Carina's now haughty voice rang out. "If Drake can stop wallowing in his own self pity for a minute we can use our bond to find both of them."

"You have ever used it for such a thing before." Severus butted in. "You have no idea if it will even work you silly girl."

"Of course it will Uncle Severus." Carina grinned. "I'll make it work." Before any of the adults could say anything else the boys joined hands with their sister; Draco albeit reluctantly, and closed their eyes, slipping easily into their shared mindscape, their rage clearing their minds enough to make it easily done.

"Whatever are you five doing here?" The friendly old man said with a smile. "It is so very good to see you. Where is little Luna?"

"Taken." Carina snapped. "We are here to get her back."

"Hello grandfather." Neville greeted, hugging Arcturus. "Luna was taken from the manor by her father, against the wishes of Uncle Sirius and Luna herself."

"Oh dear." The man replied. "And at Yule time too. Such a disgrace."

"We are going to find her." Hermione added. "We are going to use out bond to find out where she is."

"If I was under a sleeping charm then she will be too." Draco said quietly, looking back down at the floor, the weight of his guilt pressing down on his shoulders. "She might not even know that she has been taken."

"Well we have to try." Harry responded, marching up to Luna's door and knocking loudly.

"Gently Harold for Merlin's sake." Arcturus reprimanded. "You could damage her shields doing that." Harry had the good decency to guiltily mutter an apology and Neville's hand fell onto his shoulder.

"Let me." His brother said gently. "My mind is steady at the present. I will find her." Harry nodded the four remaining siblings watched with bated breath as Neville stepped through Luna's door. Severus had been right, none of them had used the room to enter each other's mindscapes yet, the only trips they had taken to each other's minds were through legillimency and never had any of them entered Luna's mind. Harold didn't know what his brother was going to find on the other side of Luna's door, but he prayed to magic herself that Luna would keep Neville safe.

Neville closed the door gently behind him and looked down from the cloud he had found himself on. He had no idea how to navigate his sister's mindscape but he could feel her presence with him, relieved that their plan had worked; he concentrated on the feel of Luna's magic and dived off of the cloud, closing his eyes and trusting his magic to guide him. He felt like he was in a free fall that would last forever when suddenly the wind rushing past his ears seemed to die down slightly.

"Hello Neville." He could have cried at the voice of his little sister and he opened his eyes to find himself floating in front of the cloud she was sat on. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be asleep?"

"Luna you are no longer at Caddington." Neville said gently, his worry increasing when the nymph like girl frowned. "When we woke, you were missing, along with most of your clothes from your room."

"I can't wake up." Her voice was small, scared and Neville found himself stepping onto her cloud to wrap her in a hug.

"Don't try to little dove. We all entered our shared mindscape in the hopes that you would get pulled in here with us. If you wake now we might lose you. Stay with us Luna." Her blonde head nodded against his shoulder before she looked up at her eldest brother's face.

"Is grandpa Arc there?"

"Yes Liten Duva he is. Will you come back up to the room with me so we can sit and work out how to trace where your father has taken you?"

"You mean he really did take me from the manor?" Luna asked, her eyes wide and fearful. "I heard him and Uncle Siri shouting last night, I didn't think he would actually do it. How could he do this to me?" Tears started to make their way down her cheeks and Neville rushed to soothe her, lest she wake herself up and cut off their connection.

"Come back up to the room with me." He said. "Let us help you." She nodded and took hold of his outstretched hand, propelling them both up towards her door.

Sirius paced as he watched the four children, continue to stand as still as statues holding hands in a circle. They had been under for about half an hour and there were no signs of them coming out of their meditation any time soon. Lucius and Severus had walked the perimeter of the manor and found footprints leading to the edge of the wards, just beyond the drive. They had found traces of the Lovegood lord's magic and were working on tracking it, in an attempt to discover were he had gone. The ladies had all taken up residence in the living room, a stony and rage induced silence hanging over them, whist his mate, Dan and Frank were all watching him pace the kitchen floor.

"Sirius we have to do something." Remus growled. "What about her Yule gift?"

"If I set that off, he will know that we are on to him." Sirius replied. "As soon as the diamond turned black he would get her out of the country by any means he could and she would be lost to us."

"I'm not following." Dan said, rubbing his temple. "I thought you gave Luna a necklace?"

"We did." Remus explained as gently as he could whilst Moony was battering his mental shields. "There is a tracker and an emergency portkey built into the diamond pendant. If we trigger the tracker the gem will turn black, informing Xeno that we are onto him."

"Does the necklace you gave Carina and Hermione do the same thing?" The squib asked.

"Yes, we wanted insurance for our girls." Sirius replied, still pacing.

"And what good is it if you aren't going to use it?" Frank snapped. "Activate her portkey for Merlin's sake before he gets her too far away."

"Don't be a fool Frank." Sirius growled in response. "We activate that portkey and he has grounds for a kidnapping suit."

"Not if she becomes a Black before he can make it back here." Remus said, his eyes growing wide with the idea that had struck him. "As soon as she drank the potion she would be ours."

"We would need to declare her our full daughter for that. She would lose the Lovegood title."

"Not necessarily." Came Augusta's voice from the doorway. "He doesn't have a wife, and Luna is an only child. As long as we leave her enough Lovegood blood, she would still be able to take up the title."

"I'll fetch Severus." Frank said, getting up from the kitchen table and heading out into the hallway.

"If we time this right we could take her whilst she is asleep tonight." Moony growled excitedly, taking partial control of Remus's mind. "He wouldn't know she was missing until it was too late. Play the bastard at his own game."

"What about them?" Dan asked, nodding to the quartet of children in the corner.

"Leave them to their work." Sirius replied. "It is too dangerous to force them out of their mindscapes; we could destroy their shields.
