Twenty-Four: The Way of Life Pt.2

Brianna was not exactly to happy as she knew that this injury was going to bring her down a bit.

"It's going to heal." Clark told her.

"Yes, because having a broken leg is the best thing to happen."

"Oh, it seems Grandma is not happy." Rachel said as she was coming into the Bat-cave with her son in her arms.

"Rachel!" Clark said with a smile.

"What happened?" Rachel said before passing Michael over to her Dad.

"Fight with Two-Face, I was able to get him back to Arkham." Brianna informed her.

"She also broke her ankle." Clark told her. It wasn't often that he had to remind his wife about this, but he knew that Brianna would not understand otherwise.

"Hm…I can look over Gotham while you rest." Rachel told her. She knew that none of the others would be able to do it.

"My leg will heal," Brianna told her. "I have the robot to be able and go out."

"Yes, if you let it rest Brianna." Clark said. "Rachel can look over Gotham and she won't be alone."

"Exactly, I have the boys to go out there with me as well." Rachel said.

"What about Michael?" Brianna asked.

"You can babysit, Michael wants to spend time with his Grandma isn't that right love." She said touching her son's chin and putting a pout.

"This is not fair," Brianna said. "Also, has Penny informed you of the anomalies going on at the moment?"

"Yes, she said they are originating in the Arctic, we are monitoring the areas, I have the League satellites looking over the area as well as Avengers Tower looking over," Rachel opened the Bat-computer showing the different areas the anomalies were showing.

"Have we been able to figure out what it could be?"

"No, silence has been heard from most of the villains which is what worries me,"

"Look at your Mum and Grandma," Clark whispered at Michael. He was so proud at seeing them looking at the information. He knew it was just a matter of time before Rachel to took over. Brianna was being more lenient in letting the cowl being passed to her daughter, but she was not saying or making it obvious.

Gotham City

Many of the villains knew that a certain Sherriff had changed, they had seen it many times.

"You know little bird its weird seeing you as the big bad bat." Selina told Rachel. She was wearing the cowl and looked just a frightening as her mother.

"You are hiding anything Selena?" Batwoman asked with a smile.

"Never, I'm retired little bird." Selina said and it was true Catwoman had hung up her claws unless she really wanted to stretch her legs.

"I know there is nothing pretty going on at the moment." Batwoman told her.

"I like seeing my pretty little bird spreading her wings, which makes me question what has your little hatchling?" Selina asked.

"The big bad bat as you call her," Batwoman replied and Selina laughed.

Avengers Tower

Penny was looking through the computers and she knew that something was happening.

"Penny." She turned to see Wade standing there with their daughter.

"Hey dear." She told him.

"We want to know why you ditched our taco night movie date," Wade said.

"Flips, sorry I'm monitoring the Arctic and it crossed my mind," Penny told him.

"We forgive you," Wade said giving her a kiss, which caused Maria to pucker her lips.

"I have a kiss for you too." Penny said.

"What is so bad about the arctic?" Wade asked.

"There seems to be a movement, it's close to a speed something seems to be moving fast in certain times. I asked some of the Flashes, but they mentioned that they can't notice anything, and I don't know if it's because it's their own speed that is blocking it.," Penny told him.

"So, it might be some speed force thing," Wade told her.

"Ye…," Penny turned to look at Wade. "Wade you're a genius," she kissed him quickly before getting into the computers.

"Well I know, but why am I?" Wade asked.

"A speed force, Pietro and the Flash's wouldn't feel it because what if it's a speed force something moving faster than they are, something invisible trying to break through."

"Yeah, but what would want to break through?"

"That's the question, it could be we haven't heard anything rough from the Flash villains." Penny said. "But it would be someone we don't expect, I need to get some information from the Flash, I can ask Batwoman to see if she can find something."

"Well after taco date night," Wade told her.

"Alright, after taco date night," Penny said.

3 Months Later: Mount Justice

Batwoman was visiting Kaldur trying to get some information in some of the villain activities.

"Its good to know that you came to visit." Kaldur told Batwoman.

"I still supervise you guys." Batwoman said.

"Batwoman!" she turned to see Bart standing there with a face of shock. "It's really you." He said and went to hug her to the surprise of Kaldur.

"I'm sorry Batwoman, Bart!" Kaldur said. Batwoman smiled.

"It's fine." She had a feeling that she knew the reason Bart was hugging her. "Now as I was saying keep an eye on the Arctic it is getting more active the last few months."

"Yes, were thinking of sending a group there, will you be coming as well?"

"Yes, I'll meet you in the place we believe that it will break out today." Batwoman told him.

"Alright the team together again." Bart said. Kaldur looked at him with a weird gaze and Bart groaned.

"Really!"

"Let's go." Batwoman said.

They had arrived at the Arctic with the Teen Titans having both Cyborg and Red Robin, the Young Justice having Kid Flash, Kaldur and M'gann, Batwoman was there as well as Spiderman and Scarlet witch.

"Okay Team, look around the area for any anomalies." Batwoman screamed.

"Well what exactly are we looking for?" M'gann asked.

"We have seen the break…" they stopped as a portal seemed to be opening and the teams were ready to attack the only thing was that the blur that came out went toward one direction.

"Batwoman!" Spiderman yelled.

Batwoman was shocked about it, but when she felt the collation it brought her down and it was body. She felt her suit begin to react to the collision and a taser reacted.

"AHH!" The scream came out and Batwoman looked at the intruder and she froze. The bright hair was causing her to freeze.

"Rachel." The voice was one that had haunted her dreams for many years.
