It was a bright sunny day in the Moor of Icirrus as pokémon were running around the forest.
Walking around the forest was Meloetta, along with Damian, Madoka and Duncan, as they were heading back home to Castle Mariano.
"How long has it been since you've done a review, Meloetta?" Duncan asked, walking next to Meloetta.
"I have no idea. I don't actually remember what my last review was," Meloetta said, scratching the back of her head.
"Then it must have been a long time if you can't remember," Damian chuckled, "You should probably go back."
"I...don't know. What if I'm rusty? Or what if I don't do a good job like before?" Meloetta asked nervously.
"Oh come on. You'll be fine. Don't worry," Madoka said, smiling, "I think you'll be great."
Meloetta giggled a bit and smiled. "I hope so."
"Also, is your hair supposed to move like that?" Madoka asked.
"Huh?" Meloetta stops and looks at her hair to see it waving a bit. "No? Why is my hair doing that?"
Damian looked over at his hair and sees that it was doing the same thing. "Mine too. What the heck? It's not even windy."
Meloetta looks around the forest to see the leaves and grass also waving before moving in the opposite direction of where the group was going.
"It's….coming from behind?" Meloetta said in confusion, then turns around as well as the others.
"Should we check?" Damian asked.
"Yeah, I say we should," Meloetta said and walks forward, the other three following. The group soon arrived at an open field as the sudden wavering stopped. The group of four looked up to see a couple clouds forming around the area.
"Since when did clouds form?" Damian asked.
"I have no clue," Duncan and Madoka said, tilting their heads in confusion. Meloetta looked up at the clouds as she walked forward, but suddenly, a big flash of lightning struck in front of her and the group, startling them all as they quickly run and hide behind bushes. The group of four then slowly peeked out of their hiding spots to see smoke where the lightning struck.
Inside the smoke cloud were two figures. One was rather large and tall, looking like it had big muscular arms and legs, and appeared to be holding a giant axe. The other figure was a few feet shorter than the large figure, and also less muscular appearing than the large figure, and also appeared to be unarmed.
"Who are they?" Madoka asked.
"Madoka, stay in this bush," Duncan ordered as he walks out from behind a bush and towards the two figures. Meloetta and Damian looked at each other, then nods as they both float out of their hiding spots, which were trees.
The three moved forward before stopping about 10 feet away from the unknown figures. The smoke started to clear up as the two figures were much more clear to see.
The large figure was male and had large, muscular arms and was indeed holding a large axe, but was also wearing armor on his shoulders, plate armor on his upper body and legs, the plate armor having spikes on his back. He also wore a helmet that covered his head, but his face was revealed, and looked rocky and rough. The smaller figure looked like a normal human male, only he wore a black robe with red and yellow markings across the arms and back of the robe. Otherwise, he had red velvet hair and black circles around his blue eyes.
"Hear me, and rejoice," The human greeted and extends an arm to Meloetta and Damian.
"You are about to fall to your knees at the hands of the Followers of Chaos. Be thankful, that your worthless attempts at-"
"I'm sorry, but Earth is closed today!" Damian shouted, interrupting the human.
The human glared at Damian after being interrupted and lowered his hand.
"You better leave right now before you know what's good for you!" Damian shouted.
The human turned to Meloetta. "Ms. Critic?" He called out, gaining Meloetta's attention.
"Does this little bug speak for you?" The human asked, pointing at Damian.
"No he does not. I speak for myself," Meloetta said and floats forward, "But you are trespassing on private property."
"Yeah, so get lost, Harry Potter!" Damian shouted angrily.
"How exhausting," the human shook his head, then the armored rock creature grumbled.
"No no, let's not waste our energy," the human said to the rock creature and faced the two Meloettas.
"Ms. Critic, let me tell you why we're here. To eradicate you," the human said without hesitation.
"What?!" Damian and Meloetta shouted in shock.
"You haven't done anything in almost three years now. What would be the point of your existence as a critic if you haven't done anything?" The human asked.
"Who the hell do you think you are to just walts over here and say that you'll kill her?!" Damian shouted angrily, his eyes twitching a bit in anger.
"Call me Zovtun. I am a loyal servant of Chaos, and we were ordered to eradicate you and your friends and loved ones. Simply because there is no point in your existence," The human, known as Zovtun, clarified.
"Yeah well that ain't happening! Come on Meloetta, let's beat these guys up!" Damian shouted, punching his fists together.
"Oh with pleasure," Meloetta smirked before spinning around and changing to her Pirouette form.
"Destroy them," Zovtun commanded as the rock creature growls and runs towards the two, along with Zovtun.
Meloetta and Damian rushed forward towards the two as the four attacked, colliding and making a big flash of light.
Meloetta gasped and suddenly shot open her eyes and sits up. She looks around. Everything was dark, making things hard to see.
Meloetta shook her head a bit and felt around her left until she touched something before pushing a switch as a light turned on, which was her lamp. Meloetta was in her room, sitting up on her bed, her hair was a mess.
"Phew! It was just a dream," Meloetta sighed and wiped her arm across her forehead. She then started thinking and placed a quarter-note shaped hand on under her chin.
"Hmm...although now that I think about it, it really has been a while. Three years even. What am I doing?" Meloetta asked herself and slapped her forehead. Then without wasting any time, she got out of her bed and runs to her desk, pulls out her chair and sits down before opening her laptop and logging in. She looked at the time to see it was six in the morning.
"Heh, better early than never. Well, time to do this. Because I'm back!" Meloetta cheered, albeit quietly so she wouldn't wake anyone up, and begins searching on her laptop.
What Meloetta says is true. It's been a while, and now we're back!
…
Well, as back as I can anyway, if that makes any sense. Honestly, with how much of life I had to go through, it was tough to keep up with FanFiction. Last thing I did here was create Liberty Garden and released its second chapter, which I do appreciate the support. But I think this is long overdue. Now it's time to bring it back. Meloetta the Chick is now coming back, and she's gonna do reviews a little differently than before. Or as differently as she can do. And I hope you enjoy any future reviews to come.
