Hey everybody, I am back from the dead with a passion. We redecorated my room completely and I have a proper desk to sit at and write these very words for you. I would like to hope that you've all had a very Merry Christmas or happy holidays for those of you who have other traditions. Now, it's time to press on with the new year, ONWARDS!
Chapter 20: Counterattack
Title Song: Anger (Angelos Mavromatis (Youtube))
Back at Phantom Lord's guild in Oak Town, the battle was going smoothly. Marcus was working well with Bisca and her partner, Alzack the gunslinger wizard. "Guns Magic: Mud Shot!" Alzack fired a single shot from his revolver, splattering a group of recovered wizards with mud. "Now Marcus!" He called out.
"I got it! I call upon the great winds of the north and south! Combine them both together and create… Ice Dragon Cold Fusion!" He called out, summoning a large ball of compressed ice and throwing it at the incapacitated wizards, knocking them out completely.
"Erza! Sarah! I leave the rabble to you!" He glanced over to see Makarov had ascended the stairs to the raised floor, swatting aside Phantom wizards like flies.
"Yes sir!" Erza replied, before slashing at a wizard.
"We've got downstairs covered!" Sarah nodded. "Give him a thrashing for Shadow Gear!"
Winona glanced down, "Their master has gone to confront Master José, we may now join the battle," She said, watching the small man blast open the doors to the tower.
"Fine by me, I owe Kaiser a fist full of iron for his sucker punch earlier," Gajeel grinned, leaping down.
Winona pulled out her stick, her conduit for her magic, it was a wand, her magic was old, came from a school that taught wizards how to cast all sorts of spells and brew many kinds of potions. Winona stepped off the rafter, dropping towards the raised floor. She landed, flanking Gajeel, who's arrival had paused the fight entirely.
Marcus glared at Gajeel with pure hatred. "You attacked Levy!" A wizard that Marcus hadn't met yet, who wore some tribal styled clothing that looked like it was from Cait Shelter, leapt at Gajeel.
"Levicorpus!" A flash of light came from the girl that flanked him, namely, her wand. The Fairy Tail wizard was sent catapulting into the air. "And now, Liberacorpus!" She said, another flash of light and the wizard was dropped into a stack of broken crates.
"Nab!" Marcus heard Loke call out.
"I despise cowards who attack from behind," She said, as Gajeel dropped to ground floor.
"Now show me what you scumbags are made of, unless you're too scared to face the great iron dragon slayer!" Gajeel laughed.
"Too scared?! A real man has no fear!" the white haired big man that Marcus had seen swinging at Phantom wizards with a beastly arm leapt at Gajeel, his arm turning to stone as he made a punch. Gajeel blocked it with an arm that he turned to iron.
"You're Elfman right?" He then fired off two back-to-back clubs of metal, then made a kick, also with a beam of his element, which Elfman weaved around the first two and caught the leg.
"Ah, not bad big guy," Gajeel chuckled, surprised slightly at Elfman's skill.
"Well, that's because I'm a real man," Elfman boasted.
"Really? Then let's see how a 'real man' handles this!" Gajeel caused several smaller beams to branch out of his leg, which struck several wizards down. What surprised Elfman, as well as the Fairy Tail wizards, was their affiliation.
"What the…! They're Phantom! You'd attack your own men?" Elfman asked with shock.
"Cause I knew it'd distract you!" Gajeel grinned, firing off another club from a fist which socked Elfman in the face, sending him flying.
As he flew, Natsu suddenly leapt off him, flying at Gajeel and punching him with a flaming fist. As Gajeel went sprawling, Natsu stood in a combat stance. "Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Fairy Tail's dragon slayer!" He snapped.
Marcus walked up, passing Elfman. "Elfman, you leave this guy to us," He said. "Natsu, I want a piece. Can I?" He asked.
Natsu seemed surprised, but grinned. "Sure," He nodded, as Gajeel stood back up.
"Nice try, but I'm still standing!" He pointed out.
"That may be true now, but I'm more curious to how you'll lose, burnt to a crisp or frozen solid?" Marcus said. "In case you needed a reminder, I'm Cait Shelter's ice dragon slayer!" He growled. Icy winds started swirling from his hands, while fire swelled around Natsu's fists.
"Cait Shelter? What is a wizard from that guild doing in a war with Fairy Tail and Phantom?" The girl above them asked.
"He's here because your thick headed lugnut brutally attacked one of his guildmates, along with my sister!" Sarah snapped. "I recognise you now, you're not as well known as Gajeel or the Element Four, but you're still one of the more known faces in Phantom Lord. You're Winona Raymond, the wand magic user."
She leapt up to face the girl, called Winona, while Marcus and Natsu stared down Gajeel.
"And you're Sarah 'Daughter of Darkness' Radcliffe correct?" Winona asked, holding her wand in a ready stance.
"I would thrash your metalheaded friend, but he's getting a beat down from two dragon slayers, so I'll settle for venting my frustration for the harm Phantom Lord has caused to me, my sister, my family and my friends on another high ranking Phantom scum!" Sarah yelled, fists lighting up with void magic.
"Stupify!" A red bolt quickly shot from Winona's wand, but Sarah simply backhanded it out of the way.
"Really? That's all you got? My turn. Void Magic: Vortex Pulse!" Sarah countered, shooting several orbs of void at the Phantom girl. Winona waved her wand, a barrier blocking the first two shots, but it quickly broke, the third and fourth knocking the girl back. She rolled with the momentum however, quickly recovering.
Her eyes widened when she saw that Sarah was rapidly approaching with a fist of void magic. She hastily raised her wand, "Lumos!" A bright light suddenly shone from the tip of her wand, causing Sarah to cover her eyes at the blinding spell.
Both paused their fight when Gajeel was sent flying up into the rafters, Natsu and Marcus following. "It seems both our guilds have unruly Dragon Slayers, as does Cait Shelter, whoever they are," Winona observed.
"Maybe you should stop gawking and start walking, in case you forgot, we're at war!" Sarah said. "Void Magic: Fallen Comet!" She called out, shooting at Winona, tucking into a spin as she did, void magic spiralling around her from fingertip to toenail.
"Ascendio!" Winona said, casting another spell, flicking upwards, sending Sarah shooting up and over her. She gasped though when Sarah dispelled her current spell, dropping towards the Wand wizard with an outstretched palm of magic.
The palm strike connected, and Winona instantly started feeling the effects of Devouring Drain. Sarah wasn't done though, "Void Magic: Dark Swords!" Twin blades appeared, one on each wrist, and she pirouetted, slashing three times. Winona evaded the first two, but the third cut her neck-tie from her, the green accessory falling to the ground.
"Incendio!" Another incantation from Winona, this time flames roared from the tip of her wand. Sarah yelled out as the raging fire licked and singed at her skin, but she was quick to recover, leaping through the searing flames with her swords still active.
She aimed with care, slicing up at Winona's wand. It didn't break, but it did get sent pinging out of her hand. Sarah then aimed the other blade at Winona's throat. "Give up, you can't beat us!" She said.
Suddenly a yell from above caught her attention, and Sarah looked up in time to see a small figure in a white coat fall into the masses. "Whoa… did something just fall?" She asked, before fear gripped at her heart, running over.
Behind her, Winona let her bangs cover her eyes, which were threatening to spill tears. She had known exactly what happened.
Sarah arrived to see Makarov in Gray's arms, "This is weird, I'm not sensing any magic power from him at all!" He was saying.
"Hold on, Gray, are you saying that he's just a regular old man now?" Elfman asked, as Natsu and Marcus both rushed over.
"Their master has been defeated!" A Phantom wizard realised.
"For real? Maybe we can beat them now!" Another called out.
"Alright, let's get them!" A third agreed.
"We've got Gajeel, Winona and the Element Four with us, we can't lose!" A fourth added.
Marcus and Natsu were quick to recover, holding back the line of grunts. "Oh yeah? Wanna bet?!" Natsu asked.
Gajeel watched the little gathering around the fallen guildmaster from where he had been upside-down. His attention was then caught by a black stick spiralling in his direction. He grabbed it, recognising the item as Winona's wand.
The girl in question leapt up to join Gajeel, "Thanks for catching that. It costs a fortune to get a replacement," She sighed with relief.
Gajeel noticed a stray tear in her eye. "What are you cryin' for?" He asked, flipping around to come to a crouch next to her.
"She is sad because the world has lost a great wizard today," Both looked over to see a large man in a green coat and matching hat, wearing a blindfold over his eyes. Under the green coat, he wore a loose yellow shirt that covered his neck. Below the waist, he wore a dark blue pair of extremely loose pants, finishing the look with a pair of dark but simple sandals. Around his neck was a rust-red necklace composed of several crosses, which linked together in the middle of his torso by a skull, that was similarly blindfolded like he was.
"Aria, I see you're just as creepy as always," Gajeel chuckled, while Winona bowed her head respectively, the Element Four were highly respected wizards of their guild.
Below, Marcus looked up at the three, ready to spring back up to tear the Iron dragon slayer limb from limb. He was surprised when a hand landed on his shoulder. He looked back, seeing Sarah shake her head. "I know we have no authority over you, but Marcus, we must fall back," She said, and Marcus noticed she was trying not to show weakness.
Marcus glanced between Gajeel and Sarah. "… okay, go, I'll cover the retreat," He nodded.
Nearby, Erza had broken into tears, resting on Gray's shoulder. "I'm sorry, we must fall back," She sobbed.
Gray relented too. Sarah stood to the guild, looking for guidance. "Everyone, return to Magnolia, we must retreat!" She called out.
"But Sarah…!" Loke gasped.
"They need to pay for what they did to Master!" Cana added.
"They will. But we must fall back and regroup, we have wounded which need to be cared for," Sarah said. She was gesturing to Macao, who had shielded Cana earlier, Nab, who was nursing a wounded arm, and Laki, who was wincing at several flame and electrical burns.
"No. Sarah's right, we're starting to take some heavy hits. Go! Back to Fairy Tail!" Erza called.
Reluctantly, the Fairy Tail wizards began to leave the Phantom guildhall. As they were about to leave, Marcus and Natsu both heard the conversation above them.
"They are retreating with sorrow in their hearts," Aria said sadly.
"Eh, I'm sure we'll see them again. Master José isn't one to back down from an open challenge. Anyway, what about that Lucy girl?" Gajeel asked, much to the surprise of the two eavesdroppers below.
"With the aid of fellows of Kaiser of the Cold, she escaped Sol and Juvia's capture attempt. Master José is waiting for everyone to arrive before revealing what next," Aria reported.
Winona looked over with surprise. "Juvia and Sol were forced to retreat? That's so unlike them," She observed.
"Yes… well, the Master will reveal all later," Aria nodded.
"They tried to kidnap Lucy!" Natsu grit his teeth. "Gajeel!" He roared.
"We'll meet again Salamander and Kaiser," Gajeel laughed, before Aira raised a large arm, warping the air around the two men and Winona. All three vanished without a trace.
Marcus put a hand on Natsu's shoulder as the young man started to seethe. "Hey, we'll get a chance to pay them back, come on, I want to check in on Wendy and Lucy." He noticed Laki struggle to stand, and lifted her into a bridal carry.
Natsu clenched his fists, before sighing and nodding. "You're right, thanks," He nodded, the two Dragon Slayers running to catch up with their fleeing friends, Happy and Melody glancing between each other, quietly following.
When they got back to Fairy Tail, Wendy immediately offered to heal the most serious wounds, like Nab's arm or Macao's head. Marcus let her heal a cracked rib before he glanced over to where Lucy was sitting on a crate, Carla leaning nearby against the wall while Melody sat on Lucy's other side on a stool.
"Marcus! I got Cait Shelter on the communications lacrima! Master Roubaul is waiting," Mirajane called softly.
Marcus came over, looking into the crystal ball, seeing Roubaul. "Ah! Marcus my boy, I've heard the most basic of what happened from Miss Strauss. Phantom Lord attacked Emi?" He asked.
"Indeed master. With Makarov out of action, command of Fairy Tail has temporarily passed to the S-Class members that are present," Marcus nodded. He sighed.
"Something is troubling you boy?" Roubaul asked.
"I feel like I've put us too deep into this. Now Emi and a team at Fairy Tail are in hospital and countless others are battered and bruised," Marcus frowned.
"Marcus, Gajeel made the first move, he attacked our guildhall and our members, Emi just got caught in the crossfire. This isn't your fault," Mira pointed out.
"Listen to the young lady. Phantom are the ones who crossed the line. For you, I'm sending some backup," Roubaul said. "Normally I would say to try and resolve a conflict with peace, however, Phantom Lord attacked one of our members. I'll say this, beat them Marcus, for Emi."
"I will Master, I promise that," Marcus nodded, the image of Roubaul vanishing.
"I'm going to try and contact any of our away S-Class wizards. We're going to need all the help we can get," Mira said.
"I'll help, maybe I can get a reading on where Mystogan is at this time," Cana said, pulling out her cards.
Marcus decided to lean against the wall in the corner, watching as Fairy Tail began to plan their next battle. Macao, Wakaba and some others were looking at a map, trying to come up with a battle plan.
"That's just how we are, when we say war, we go all out," Sarah chuckled. She sighed, "I'm going to step outside, keep an eye on Natsu for me," She said.
"Will do," Marcus nodded, as Sarah headed for the stairs. He watched her go, before turning to see Lucy still in a slump.
"Don't worry, we'll get them back for this," Gray said.
"I know, I'm not worried about that. It's… all my fault," Lucy sulked.
"Being targeted by dangerous people is just one of the downsides of being rich. At least you're protected by a real man like me," Elfman pointed out.
"Hey, would you give it a rest already?" Gray growled at him.
"I gotta say I was shocked when I heard the news. Why didn't you tell us Lucy?" Happy said.
"Be considerate tomcat," Carla said. "It's not something you can casually bring up in a conversation. 'Oh, hi, my name is Lucy, I'm a runaway'." Happy frowned, realising that she was right.
"She's right, I wasn't trying to hide anything. Besides, I've been gone for a year and my father hasn't cared. Now all of a sudden he wants to force me to come home? He's done all those horrible things, I hate his guts!" Lucy stressed.
"Lucy…" Melody sighed.
"Still… if I hadn't ran away, none of this would have happened," Lucy said.
"Come on. Your dad is the one to blame," Elfman pointed out.
"Idiotic brute!" Carla snapped, causing the big man to flinch.
"I-I mean it's Phantom's fault!" He corrected.
"No. It's my selfish choices that caused all the damage to you guys and this guild, maybe I should just go back home…"
"I dunno about that…" Natsu spoke up for the first time, "I can't see the role of you playing the pretty princess stuck in your mansion. Laughing with us in this filthy guildhall, going on adventures with us even though you freak out all the time, that's who you really are. You said you wanted to stay with us right? Why would you ever go back to the place you ran away from?"
Marcus, Melody and Happy smiled at Natsu's words, while Carla gave a respectable nod with Gray and Elfman silently watching.
"Come on. Who are you trying to kid? You're Lucy of Fairy Tail."
"He's right. Besides, looks to me like Phantom Lord had it's own reason to attack Fairy Tail. I don't know why, but they seem to hate this guild, and vice versa," Marcus said. "It's not just about you anymore, multiple members of the guild lie in hospital, others are battered and bruised here, not for you, but because Phantom provoked them," Marcus pointed out.
"Yeah, you're right about the hate part. I dunno why, but we just never seem to get along. I understand you also have some history with that iron bozo," Gray nodded. "Aw… please don't cry, it's just not like you," He then added, noticing water trickling down Lucy's cheeks.
"Yeah, please, real men are weak to womanly tears," Elfman added.
"I'm sorry, I just can't help it," Lucy sobbed.
Sarah sat on top of the guildhall, staring out towards Magnolia. "Damn it… I'm so pathetic! The moment Master fell, I became nothing more than a spineless coward!" She snapped, tears falling.
"Me and Erza are complete idiots. What were we thinking letting him go alone? One or both of us should have gone with him!" She punched the roof she was sat on, causing the orange tiled roof to crack even more than it already was.
Inside, Cana suddenly scattered her cards in frustration. "Come on! I'm not getting any read on where Mystogan is!" She snapped.
"Oh dear…" Mira sighed, "You tried your best Cana, don't beat yourself up," She said. She then turned to the communications lacrima, "We can't find Mystogan, I'm unable to reach Labrys, and the Master is badly incapacitated. You're all we have left to turn to. Help us Laxus."
"Man, Makarov is friggin' pathetic!" Laxus laughed. "I don't even remotely see how this is my problem," He eyed Mira. "You're big girls, you should be enough to deal with it."
"So you're not gonna help us?!" Cana demanded.
"Course not, why would I?" Laxus fired back. "That senile old toad started this, why should I have to clean up his mess?"
"Please Laxus, Phantom is trying to kidnap Lucy," Mira tried.
"Who? Do I even know her?" Laxus asked. "Ohhh… You must mean that new chick. Tell ya what, if you can convince blondie into being my woman, I might be tempted to come and help you out."
"You are a total pig!" Cana snapped.
"Is that the way you should be talking to the guy you're begging to save you? If the geezer pulls through, tell him that he should be over the hill and should sign the guild over to me!" Laxus grinned.
He started laughing, then suddenly an icy spear lanced through the crystal orb, shattering it instantly. Cana turned to see Marcus walking over, a dark look on his face. "Sorry. His face was becoming too ugly to look at," He growled. "Who was that guy?"
"Laxus, one of our S-Class wizards. He's a nasty bit of work, I'll tell you," Cana glared at the shards of the lacrima.
Both turned at hearing sobs coming from Mira. "Mira…" Cana gasped. The poster girl of Fairy Tail was gritting her teeth, fists clenched.
"How can someone in Fairy Tail be so cruel and selfish?" She asked between sobs. "I can't sit on the sidelines anymore. I'm going to join the others and fight!"
"Whoa, Mira… I know you're upset…" Cana started.
"I feel totally useless!" Mira cried. "I'm stuck here at the guildhall, I wanna help!"
"Calm down…" Cana said. "I understand, but you'll just be in the way as you are now. Even if you were once an S-Class wizard."
"Wait… what?!" Marcus asked.
"She used to be one of our best. But a mission turned south bad and she broke, couldn't use her power anymore," Cana explained.
"I see… I'm sorry, I won't pry unless you wanna talk," Marcus bowed his head, stepping back.
Things went quiet, Wendy stopping to recover her magic power. Fairy Tail were still planning, when suddenly a mighty crash made the entire room shake.
"Hey. What's going on?" Gray asked.
"Outside!" Alzack yelled.
Everyone followed the gunslinger out, filing out the back door to see something that made the entire city gasp.
Walking towards them across the sea was a massive castle on eight massive legs made of rusted and weathered metal. The castle itself had four outer towers and a middle building that tiered up, getting smaller until reaching a middle tower.
"What the hell is that thing?!" Natsu asked.
"It's… the Phantom Headquarters…!" Sarah gasped.
A wall suddenly slid down, facing Magnolia. A large cylinder started to extend out, getting smaller before reaching half a mile long. Sarah gasped, springing forwards to stand before the entire guild and their home. Energy began to focus at the tip of the cylinder.
"VOID MAGIC SECRET ART!" Sarah yelled, channelling as much magic energy as she could into one spot between her hands at her side.
"No way… Sarah! What are you doing!" Macao asked.
"Making up for my weakness and protecting the guildhall!" Sarah snapped.
"That's a magic focusing cannon!" Melody gasped. "It'll flatten the guildhall and half the city!"
Erza sprang down, losing her towel as she began to requip. "Erza! You too?!" Mira gasped.
The red head stopped right behind Sarah. "Block what you can, I'll try and cover you if you fall short," She said. Sarah didn't need to look back to know Erza was in her Adamantine Armour, the Gigas shield ready in both hands.
"Copy that," She nodded. "NIGHTMARE CANNON!" She yelled as the cannon fired. Releasing all her built up energy, she let rip, a concentrated beam of pure void energy slamming into the dark focused magic power that was shot from the cannon.
"NO!" Natsu and Marcus called out, being restrained by Gray and Alzack respectively.
The two beams spiralled back and forth, before it began to push back towards Fairy Tail.
"Sarah, switch now!" Erza demanded. The blonde broke the spell, Erza slamming her shield together, forming a massive magic circle. The beam smashed into it, causing Erza to grunt with exertion as she did her best.
Finally, the cannon stopped, shrinking before disappearing. However, the force of the blast still carried through, the shockwave knocking Erza and Sarah both into the air, before landing hard, sprawling and rolling before coming to a rough halt.
"I don't believe it… they actually stopped the cannon's shot!" Loke muttered.
"Once again, Erza and Sarah prove to be the manliest women in the guild," Elfman said.
"Yeah, but look…" Cana said.
Erza's armour disappeared into magic particles, shattered into hundreds of pieces. Likewise, Sarah was excluding purple sparkles, her magic still flickering from her body.
"Both used up a lot of power, I don't think we'll be counting on them doing that again," Carla muttered.
Marcus ran to Sarah's side, while Natsu checked on Erza. "Hey! You ok?" The fire dragon slayer asked.
"Say something Sarah, please!" Marcus said, putting the blonde's head on his leg.
"Makarov has fallen. And now neither Erza or Sarah can stand," A slimy sounding voice came from the castle. "Any chance of victory has slipped through your fingers. Surrender Lucy Heartfilia at once. You have no other choice."
"That's not gonna happen!" Alzack countered.
"Like any guild would hand over one of their own to a monster like you!" Bisca called out.
"You hear that? Lucy's staying put!" Macao added.
The defiant cries kept coming.
"Yeah! We won't let her go with you!" Wakaba.
"She has become a cog in the Fairy Tail machine!" Laki.
"A lady should be treated with respect, not like a tool!" Loke.
"She's a sweetheart, and we've all grown to love her!" Nab.
"We will not let you take her from us!" Cana.
"She's one of us, and we protect our own!" Mira.
"A real man would never let his fellows be forced into actions they dislike!" Elfman.
"AYE SIR!" Happy.
"We don't throw aside someone who has nowhere to go! She came to us, so she is now one of us!" Sarah.
"We'd never betray her like that! You'd have to kill us first!" Erza.
"You can stop asking cause we're not gonna give you any other answer! We're taking every one of you jerks down!" Natsu.
Marcus quietly agreed with Fairy Tail, their loyalty knew no boundaries. At the back of the group, Wendy, Melody and Carla all stood with Lucy, who was sobbing uncontrollably at all the support she was getting.
"IF DEATH IS WHAT YOU WISH FOR, I'LL GIVE YOU A SECOND HELPING OF JUPITER! YOU'VE GOT 15 MINUTES TO PONDER THE FOLLY OF YOUR ACTIONS!" Phantom Lord's Master José bellowed.
"No way, he's gonna fire that thing again?" Loke asked.
Suddenly, hundreds of spectral figures flew from the windows of the castle. "You're in quite the quandary, aren't you Fairy Tail? There are only two ways this plays out. Either my Phantom Soldiers rip you to shreds, or be blown away by Jupiter!" José taunted
"Are you kidding me? If he fires he'll kill his own men!" Macao exclaimed.
"I bet he's bluffing to make us give up," Wakaba laughed it off.
"No. He'll do it," Cana said. "Those Phantom Soldiers are part of Master José's Shade magic, they aren't living beings so he doesn't have to worry about them."
"I'm gonna smash that cannon! I only got 15 minutes, right?" Natsu asked.
"Eh, I'd say 13 now, either way, you're on the right track," Marcus said.
"Come on Happy!" Natsu called out, his blue cat friend grabbing him and carrying him across the ocean.
Marcus saw Mira and Lucy heading around to the front of the guild and followed with Cait Shelter.
"Lucy, we have a hideout, I want you to stay there until things are over," Mira said.
"What? No! It's my fault we're in this mess! I can't just abandon you guys while you risk your lives for me!" Lucy objected.
"It's not your fault Lucy. I don't see it that way and neither does anyone else. It's not just for you. We're proud to fight this battle. It's for the honour of our guild. Like Marcus said inside, we have our own reasons to fight," Mira shot back. She raised a hand. "Please, just do as I say."
Magic swelled from the barmaid's hand, and Marcus saw Lucy drift into a daze before falling unconscious. Marcus caught her before she fell. "Reedus, take her to the hideout!" Mira instructed.
A very round man in a white shirt, black pants and wearing a black pointed hat nodded. "Oui!" He nodded, lifting his shirt and painting on it. A boar and carriage was drawn, before it came to life. Marcus put Lucy in the back.
"Wendy, Carla, I want you both to go with them," Marcus added.
"No way! We need to fight for Emi! We won't stand on the sidelines like last time!" Wendy said.
"It's not that I want you away from the fight. I have a feeling that Phantom might not have given up on Lucy yet. I want you both to help keep her safe," Marcus said, putting a warm hand on Wendy's head. "Go with Reedus. Keep Lucy company. I think she'll need it."
Both girls glanced at each other, and eventually nodded. "We'll do the best we can," Carla said, getting into the carriage.
"Little Dragon, remember that the sky is always there, trust me, you are nowhere near as weak as you used to feel," Marcus said as Wendy began to follow.
"I know Marcus. Now go and help destroy that guildhall," Wendy said.
"We're counting on you to keep her safe," Mira said.
"Oui!" Reedus flicked the reins of his creation, pulling the carriage of the three girls away. Marcus and Mira watched them go before turning back to the fight.
Right, time to banish this Phantom Lord once and for all. "Mel!" He called, running towards the beach.
"I gotcha!" Melody nodded, growing her wings from the back of her shirt and sprang into the air, grabbing Marcus by his sides.
"Let's go!" Both yelled.
Marcus: Time to go bust some heads!
Melody: I'm right with you!
Wendy: Be careful you two, I'm sure that cannon isn't Phantom's only trick.
Carla: Now focus Wendy, we have our own task to carry out.
All: Light that Banishes Evil!
