Chapter 23:
"I think that can be arranged."
Still Alex POV:
I kiss her on the forehead as I see her slowly drift into slumber. I take out my phone to text Abbie.
ALEX: You guys can come back in. Just be quiet because she is falling asleep.
ABBIE: Coming now. Victoria is sleepy too should we take her home. I didn't want to ask her before asking you. Cause I don't know if she will be able to sleep without you two.
ALEX: I will have the nurse bring in another bed and I'll sit between the two of them just in case either needs me.
ABBIE: Alright we are coming now.
After I get that text I ask the nurse to bring another bed so Victoria is able to sleep tonight. It didn't take long before RN Brisian came in with another bed. Within a few minutes Abbie and the team brought my daughter back into the room.
"I had the nurse bring in a bed for you to be able to get some sleep tonight. I will be sitting in between you and Olivia in case you need me in the night, do you want to get settle in right now or wait a little while?"
"I am kinda tired so I think so."
"Alright do you need my help or do you think you got it."
"I think I got it but if I need help I'll ask."
"Alright sweetie."
OLIVIA POV:
Just hearing Alex talk to Victoria melts my heart. I am going to marry this woman someday.
"Babe?"
"Yes are you okay? Do you need something?"
"Just you."
"I'm right here."

AN HOUR LATER: Victoria POV
He enters my room, I can already tell his is angry. But at this time I can't seem to care. I'm done it shouldn't be long until I see the light.
"Come now." I hear something faint in the distance almost angelic. I pick myself up off the ground and go towards the angelic voice.
"YOU WILL NOT LEAVE ME!" I feel him grab my arm and swing me towards the wall.
"Please let me go, I don't want to live in this world anymore." I say with such a small voice and I start to cry.
"You don't get to take the easy way out." Thats when the first blow came down.
"STOP PLEASE"
ALEX POV:
"STOP PLEASE" It breaks the silence of the room like a thousand shattering bricks. I go to her side so fast with tears breaking through my eyelids down my face.
I grab her hand and place it on my face. "You're alright love, come back to me its a bad dream. Its Alex please baby wake up."
I feel her fingers start to move against my cheek. "That's it sweetie I'm right here."
"...alex" the smallest voice says.
"Yes love its me. No one is going to hurt you anymore."
I see her open her eyes, "Please don't let hurt me."
The tears just keep falling, that's when Olivia's voice broke through the moment. "No one will ever lay a hand on you again Victoria they have to get through us first. We will protect you from on."
"Promise?"
"Double pinky swear cross my heart promise."
"Can you hold me?"
I reply, "Of course I can."
I climb up next to her and wrap my arms around her while she lays her head on my shoulder. "I've got you. For the rest of your life we've got you."
She gets settled and I start to sing.

"...thank you mom" she whispers to me before going to sleep. Tears come to my eyes as I hold this angel in my arms. I can't help but think about our future as a family. At one point in my life I've worried about how my future is going to be. When I used to think about it I would get sad because I felt like the way my life was going that I wouldn't get the chance to be a mom nor a wife. I thought I would just be alone and fast track to now I am happy with Olivia and Victoria. It seems like all those thoughts dissipated with that movie night.
I heard Olivia sigh and I know she is having a great dream. I wonder what shes dreaming about, hopefully me!
