"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"
Lucy groaned as she was shaken awake by her ecstatic daughter. "Is the world ending?"
"Yes! It's my birthday! Wake up!" Lily continuously shouted with a huge grin.
Lucy gasped. "Is that what today is? I completely forgot!"
"No you didn't!" Lily giggled.
Lucy grinned. "You got me." She hooked an arm around her daughter and pulled her down next to her. Ignoring her squealing, Lucy sucked in a giant breath of air and leaned down to blow a huge raspberry on her cheek.
Lily screamed, giggled, and wiggled. "Stop! Noooooo! Stop it!" Lucy did stop when she heard someone else run into the room.
"Wake up! Wake up!" Bickslow shouted as he entered the room in a full blown onesie. "It's Lily's birthday!" "Birthday! Birthday!" His babies chimed after him.
Lucy shared a look with a giggling Lily, right before the little girl let loose a spark of red lightning, shattering one of the babies.
Bickslow gasped, a look of horror on his face. "Oh shit, the monster's getting bigger! Run away!" He fled out of the room, arms flailing behind him as his other two babies followed him. "Run away! Run away!"
Lucy rolled her eyes and patted her giggling daughter's back. "Go give him hell, sweetie. I'll be down a little bit."
"Okay, mama." She grinned as she hopped off the bed and ran out of the room, shouting "your doomed!"
Lucy chuckled as she heard a faint, slightly girlish shriek and she got up to get changed.
When she came downstairs and entered the kitchen, she saw a depressed Bickslow with his head laying on the table, no babies around him and she had to cover her mouth to keep herself from laughing. Lily was watching Freed cook breakfast from a stool, and Lucy made a mental note to tell Freed what happened last night.
"Goodmorning, Lucy." Evergreen sighed as she came into the kitchen, giving her a quick side hug.
Lucy returned the brief hug. "Morning, Ever." The woman walked straight up to Bickslow and smacked him on the back of his head.
"Ow!" The man's hands came up to shield and rub his head. "The hell?"
"Sit up straight, moron." She scolded before she gave Lily a hug, swinging her around before she put her back down. "And happy birthday to this big girl!"
"Thank you!" Lily giggled. "I'm getting all the eggs!"
"Not if I eat them first." Laxus chimed in as he entered the room. Lucy's body tingled when he brushed past her. She couldn't believe how affected her body was by him. She decided to just sit down before it betrayed her in any way.
"No! You can't eat my eggs!" Lily barked at the hulking man as he approached her.
He leaned down and grinned at her. "Is that a threat?"
"It's a promise!" The little girl huffed and crossed her arms.
Chuckling, he briefly looked at the mother. He could only assume that she learned that from her. "Don't worry, squirt." He picked the girl up and headed to the table. "The birthday girl gets to eat whatever she wants."
She grinned and clapped her hands a few times from her spot on Laxus' lap. It didn't take much longer for the food to be done, and sure enough, Lily ate all the eggs... nothing else. Laxus was pretty upset about the eggs, but he made up for it in bacon slices.
"When do I get to open presents?" Lily beamed once everyone was done eating.
"Ah, man." Bickslow sighed as he sat back and put a hand on his bulging stomach. "I'll have one for you in about fifteen minutes." For a few seconds it was just silence, until everyone realized what he meant. Everyone groaned, Evergreen swatted him with her fan at the same time that Laxus zapped him with lightning, followed by a small zap from Lily. His scream made the little girl laugh. Lucy just had her head in her hands, hoping to god that her daughter didn't understand.
"Seems like you guys want me to hurry." The seith mage cackled from the floor.
"You are disgusting, leave." Evergreen huffed.
Lily didn't understand, but she was excited for presents. "Hurry, I want my present!" The man just laughed harder from his spot on the floor.
"Lily." The said girl turned to her mother. "Your presents are at the guild, so get ready and we'll go, okay?"
"Yay! Presents!" The little girl cheered as she hopped up and eagerly ran up the stairs.
Lucy laid her head in her hand. "Bickslow, please try not to corrupt my daughter before she's a teenager." All she saw was a solute of his hand above the table.
"Aye aye, captain!"
"Surprise!" The entire guild cheered when they got to the guild and opened the doors.
Lily screamed and hid behind her mom's legs, which was the opposite effect they were hoping for.
Lucy laughed and crouched down, hugging her scared daughter. "Don't be scared, sweetie. This is all for you."
"For me?" She asked as she looked at everyone staring at her.
"Mmhmm, everyone wants to celebrate your birthday." Her mother smiled.
"Sorry, Lily!"
"Happy birthday, Lily!"
Various shout came from the guild, and Lily gained more confidence. Grinning, she looked at her mom before she ran up to the huge pile of presents by the bar. "This is all for me?" She asked in awe, craning her neck to see the top of the pile.
"Hell yeah, kid. You sure are somethin' special around here." Cana grinned from the bar.
Lucy gaped at the insane amount of presents. She had a feeling that she was about to crowd the hell out of the spirit world. From looking at the huge grin on the guild master's face, she had a feeling the amount of presents had to do with the fact that she was basically guild royalty, being the guild master's great-granddaughter and all.
A warm arm draped itself over her shoulders, and she looked over to see Natsu grinning as he looked at her daughter. "Ah, they grow up so fast, don't they?"
"How the hell would you know?" Gray grumbled as he put a shirt on, which she was beyond grateful about.
"Hey!" Natsu shouted as he crossed his arms. "I raised happy!"
The said blue cat came to land on his owner's head. "Aye, sir!"
"You two better not cause any trouble tonight!" Erza order as she came up to the trio.
"N-no way!" They both said in unison, hugging each other. "We're best friends!"
Lucy's eyebrows rose to her hairline, before she giggled. "What a cute couple."
They both sent her death glares, but they didn't dare do anything with Erza standing right there. A cold shiver went down Gray's spine, not noticing the jealous face peeking out from behind a pillar.
"Happy!" Lily shouted excitedly when she saw the blue cat on Natsu's head.
The cat flew down to stand in front of the little girl. "Happy birthday, Lily! Here's a fish!" The cat pulled a fish out of his green backpack and held it out to her.
"Um..." she looked up at her mom, but she was only laughing. "Thank you." She took the fish out of his paws and had an idea. "I got one for you too!"
The cat beamed. "Really?!"
"Mmhmm! Wait here!" The little girl turned around for a few seconds before she whirled back around and presented the cat with the same fish. "Here!"
The cat gasped and salivated. "Thank you, my goddess!" He snatched the fish and flew ontop of the bar, digging into his gift.
"You're so nice, Lily!" Natsu grinned, making Lucy question his intelligence.
"Wow, I cant believe that worked." Gray scratched his head.
"Why have I never thought of that before?" Erza asked herself.
"Listen up, brats!" Everyone turned their attention to the master on top of the bar, ignoring the way Happy was happily munching on a fish right next to him. "It's cake time!"
Cheers erupted through the guild while Mira and Cana brought out a huge cake from behind the bar that could feed the whole guild. "Oh my god." Lucy whispered in awe as the cake was brought to the center table and set down carefully.
"Now," the master continued. "Before this beautiful cake gets inevitably destroyed one way or another, let's get a picture and wish our beloved Lily a very happy birhday!"
Everyone cheered and started singing as Mira ushered Lucy and Lily to stand in front of the cake. Lucy picked her up to settle her on her hip as Mira practically shoved Laxus into the picture. Once it was taken, Laxus took Lily out of Lucy's arms and hoisted her on top of his shoulders so she could blow out the giant number four candle at the top. Everyone cheered, making Lily giggle and cheer too. Laxus kissed her cheek before he set her down.
Mira and Lucy began distributing cake pieces out to everyone after Lily got the first one of course. She was happily eating and humming while everyone got their piece. Once they were almost done, chaos erupted. It began with Natsu, of course, who flung some cake at Gray, who of course reciprocated, only it smacked Erza in the face instead. After she scared the shit out of the two boys by yelling about the sanctity of cake, she threw her cake at them anyways, which also hit Happy. The cat flung his cake with his tail, but it ended up hitting Gajeel in the face, who just exploded and started throwing cake at everyone. Lucy and Mira crouched down under the table and couldn't help but laugh when they looked at each other. Only Fairy Tail would have a bunch of grown ass people starting a food fight at a kid's birthday party. Lucy squeaked when Bickslow's babies came flying through the rest of the cake, drenching her in frosting. When she got the frosting out of her eyes, she noticed Lily had teamed up with a boy about her age named Romeo, they were laughing as they flung cake at passersby from behind a table that was turned on its side. She looked over at Laxus to see him throwing his whole plate at Gajeel. She couldn't help her laughter as she too joined in. She loved this guild, and it was so good to see her daughter having so much fun.
Once everyone finally settled down, it was time to open presents. There were a lot of weird presents; for example, Erza got her a tiny suit of armor just like hers. Overall it was amazing how thoughtful everyone was. After Lily opened the last present and thanked the person who got it for her, Lucy put her hand on her daughter's head. "Are you ready for mine?"
Lily beamed. "Yes! Yes!"
Lucy chuckled and picked her up then placed her in a bar stool. "We're ready, Mira."
Mira smiled at them and pulled out the stamp of Fairy Tail. "Where do you want your guild mark, Lily?"
Lily gasped and looked at her mom. "Really?!"
Lucy smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Yep. I don't know about you, but I think we're home."
Lily cheered and placed her arm on the table, pointing to the outside of her forearm. "Red, please!"
"Of course." Mira smiled and placed the stamp there.
Lily gasped when the stamp left with a pop and her new guild mark was there. "Look, mama!"
Lucy was squealing internally. "It looks so good, sweetie!"
"Now, you!" Lily ordered her mother.
"Yes, ma'am." Lucy giggled, practically bouncing in her stool and as she placed her hand on the bar. "Pink, please." Mira smiled and gave her the stamp too. Lucy was in awe when she saw the mark of Fairy Tail on her own hand. She couldn't believe that she was finally in her dream guild.
Lily squeaked when she was hugged from behind, and she turned to see Loke smiling at her. "Uncle Loke! Look!"
He gasped and smiled at her. "Now you really are a princess."
Lily giggled as he set her on the ground. "You're silly."
He chuckled as she ran off to show everyone her new guild mark, he then turned to his master. "I'm glad you finally found a home, princess."
Lucy gave him a hug, wiping a stray tear from her eye. "Thank you, Loke."
"Of course, princess."
"Now we just gotta get them to tell her who her father is." Cana said slowly as she slid next to Mira.
Mira smiled as she placed her head in her hands. "One thing at a time, Cana."
Cana's eyes bugged out of her head when she belatedly realized who was standing next to Lucy. "Oh, hot damn! Is that Loke?!"
"Ah, shit." Loke sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. He guessed he had some questions to answer to the guild, and to the master.
The rest of the night was a blur to Lucy. The party seemed to go on forever. She was pretty sure her daughter had a sugar high with how much energy she had, but she honestly didn't want the night to end. It was by far the best day she and her daughter had in their whole lives. She couldn't wait for the new adventures being in this guild would bring.
So I totally meant to post this on Christmas cuz it's been in my phone for like a week, but I got distracted and inebriated and just totally forgot about it. But I was gonna tell you all Merry Christmas! a little too late now but oh well. Anyways, I love you guys! Muah!
