Power Boost
It was hard to believe that anyone could have survived Walker's ghost ray that had hit Fenton Works. Fortunately, two of the inhabitants of the ruined home were capable of surviving the ghost warden's attack as the Box Ghost poked his head out of the rubble to see if Walker was away from the area.
"Okay, the coast is clear," the Box Ghost said as he levitated out of the ruined Fenton Works, holding onto the bodies of Jazz and Frederich.
"It was quite a stroke of luck that you recovered from your injuries and was able to turn us intangible in time," Frederich complimented the ghost.
"Yes, we were really lucky," Box Ghost agreed as he brought the two humans toward the sidewalk. "How's Jazz?" he asked as he set them down.
Frederich checked Jazz for a pulse.
"We have a pulse," Frederich told the Box Ghost with a smile on his face. "She's a fighter, that's for sure," he added.
"It must run in the family," the portly ghost commented as he kept an eye out for any more ghosts that may be on the prowl.
Casper High
All over the school the battle between the Kamen Riders and Pariah Dark's thralls continued to wage. The White Rider Troopers were fairing very well, but suffered losses while the thralls continued their attacks by the orders of their king. The ghosts of the deceased Kamen Riders that chose to side with humanity were handling far more of the thralls than the White Riders due to their extraordinary skills while the living Kamen Riders were doing their best.
"Haaahhhh!" Duncan shouted as he struck down another of Walker's duplicates, causing it to disperse. "Any…more…you…want to throw at me asshole?" he panted; his body practically drained from taking on so many duplicates on his own.
Duncan was answered by a large number of thralls turning their attention toward him and were heading for him. The Red Kamen Rider's shoulder sagged when he saw that the horde of ghosts approaching him.
"I hate my stupid mouth," Duncan lamented to himself.
"It does seem to draw you nothing but trouble," a female voice said behind him.
Duncan didn't need to turn around to know who it was.
"Are you going to help me or are you just watching?" Duncan asked, standing up straight as he recalled all the blades, he had used fighting the Walker duplicates.
"I'm thinking about it," Desiree told her favorite human as she watched the thralls continue to slowly approach. "There sure are slow," she commented.
"Like a bunch of zombies," Duncan replied before turning to face her. "By the way, what's a ghost's stance on zombies?" he felt like asking.
"Very low," Desiree answered, narrowing her eyes. "It's practically an insult to all ghosts to be compared to a walking corpse," she added.
"You don't say," Duncan said, smirking under his mask.
Before Desiree could ask what Duncan had planned, the red Kamen Rider ran toward the approaching horde of thralls and practically hurled himself in the masses. The thralls, themselves were stunned by this brazen move before encircling the Kamen Rider.
"You know, you guys would make great extra for that Walking Dead show," Duncan said to the thralls. "They could always use more slow-witted bums as extra zombies," he added.
The expressions on the thralls changed from focused to anger as they started growling at Duncan.
"See what I mean," Duncan continued, fueling the thralls' collective rage. "You got the looks, attitude, and the speech patterns down," he listed.
One of the thralls charged forward, swinging its sword at Duncan, only for him to turn intangible at the last second. The thrall's sword went through Duncan and tore through another thrall that had charged at him. Duncan moved to the side and turned tangible as he looked over what had happened.
"You know, I should probably take that back," Duncan said. "You're clearly dumber than a zombie," he baited the ghost. "At least they don't attack their own kind," he added, sounding a little smug.
The thrall let out a roar as it tried to attack Duncan again, but the red Kamen Rider moved to the side. He did so just in time as another thrall with a spear was charging behind him, but the spear wielding thrall ended up impaling the sword carrying thrall instead. The thralls were getting madder as Duncan continued to compare them to zombies until they all started attacking the intangible Kamen Rider, but they all ended up tearing each other apart as they tried to kill him but failed.
Off to the side, Desiree watched in amusement as her human used both his brain and his mouth to defeat this large group of thralls as he walked away unharmed.
"Impressive," Desiree said as Duncan approached her. "Kind of offensive, but still very effective," she pointed out.
"Well it is one of my talents," Duncan bragged.
"And what other talents do you have?" Desiree asked in a seductive tone.
"I'll let you find out when this is all over," Duncan replied as the two of them noticed more thralls coming toward them. "Right now, we have more shrimp to fry," he added as he charged toward the group of thralls.
Desiree rolled her eyes as she watched Duncan piledrive one of the thralls then moving toward the next one.
"That boy really loves to play rough," Desiree joked to herself while blasting a thrall that tried to attack her from behind. "Still, I can't let him have all the fun," she added as she flew up and started shooting thralls that were behind her while Duncan drop kicked another thrall from the group he was dealing with as the battle continued.
As the battle on the high school grounds continued, Walker had arrived to see the chaos below him. The ghost warden considered firing a few ectoplasm shots but decided against it, remembering that he had an important task. He looked down at his lord's daughter in his arm, still unconscious, deciding that he should focus on finding Pariah and giving him the gems that he had placed in his pockets.
Before he could try to find his king, a burning sensation was felt in Walker's right leg. He let out a loud pained yell before looking down to see one of the humans wearing a white version of Danny's suit holding a rifle of sorts. Walker glared at the human before creating a duplicate of himself and had it dive toward the human, who was firing a volley of Necroplasm shots at it.
With the human distracted, Walker flew toward where he suspected Pariah to be located. However, his flight was cut short when a massive pillar of ectoplasm erupted from the school. The loud blast of that pillar of ectoplasm caused the combatants surrounding the school to stop fight as they looked at the ectoplasm pillar.
Inside the beam was Danny in his Alligator Demon mode, screaming in pain before Pariah flew upwards, hitting the American Kamen Rider in his back with his mace. Danny let out another scream as the Ghost King brought his mace up over his head after he flew higher. Danny saw the mace coming down upon him and crossed his arms over his stomach just before the mace hit him. He managed to protect himself, but the force behind Pariah's attack was enough to send him plummeting to the ground below. Danny's body hit the tiled floor of the school, cracking the tiles upon impact.
"Damn…that hurt…" Danny groaned out as he struggled to get back up.
"Then this will be even worse," Pariah said as he appeared in front of Danny, towering over the human.
Danny barely had time to respond as he was hit by Pariah's mace once again, sailing through the wall of the school and out into the yard.
"DANNY!" Sam screamed as she rushed toward him, ignoring the thralls that tried to get in her way.
The thralls that tried to attack the female Rider were suddenly flung away by an invisible force, or so it would seem.
CLOCK OVER
In reality it was Kamen Rider Sasword, who had used his armor's special ability, Clock Up, to move faster than the eye can see. The Ghost of Tsurugi Kamishiro, turned to see the black and purple Kamen Rider lookalike continue her way to her beloved.
"Her courage reminds of my dear Misakinu," the scorpion Kamen Rider said as he watched Sam reach Danny.
Sam was just a few yards away from Danny before stopping when she saw Walker land between them. She noticed Dani under the Ghost Warden's arm, completely unconscious. Without a second thought, Sam created a pair of necroplasm sabers as she shifted into a defensive stance.
"Let Dani go and get the Hell out of my way," Sam told Walker, ready to attack in case he tried to do anything funny.
"Bold words little girl," Walker said, not even bothering to look at Sam. "But can you back up those words?" he taunted her.
Sam didn't say anything, but she was ready to attack.
Before Sam could move Pariah made his way to Walker, who stood at attention as he waited for his king. Pariah took one look at Sam before firing a ghost ray at her, forcing Sam to jump away while Duncan, Desiree, and Vince approached the area. Pariah looked Walker over before spotting his unconscious daughter.
"I see you have accomplished your mission," Pariah said impassively.
"Yes, my lord," Walker replied as he pulled out a bag containing the gems that Dani had given him.
Pariah lifted his right arm, activating the Reality Gauntlet, which in turn caused one of the gems to glow, the Gem of Fantasy. The glowing gem floated out of the bag and inserted itself into its rightful slot. Pariah smirked as he felt the power of the gem intergrade into his being through the gauntlet.
"Where is the last gem?" Pariah asked once he realized that none of the other gems were glowing.
Walker didn't have a response, he had assumed that his king's daughter would have the last two gems, but it appeared that she only had one.
The remains of Fenton Works
Axe emerged from the rubble, his right pincer holding onto the glowing Gem of Power as he made his way toward the street. The ghost scorpion noticed Jazz's car was missing, most likely due to the pale human taking her somewhere safe with the fat ghost tagging along. The sounds of a massive battle can be barely heard, meaning that Danny hasn't won yet.
While Axe tried to ignore the problems that the Fenton family has been dealing with ever since he was "taken in" by Danny, Axe knew that if the gem he was holding fell into the wrong hands, it would spell disaster for everyone. Which meant that the fate of Amity Park, and therefore the world and Ghost Zone, rest in his capable pincers. Determined to contribute to the best of his abilities, Axe moved forward.
Into the surviving neighbor's house to flush the gem down the toilet.
Back at the school
"Find my gem or I will use you as its replacement until you are drained of your very essence," Pariah order Walker as he levitated his daughter out of the ghost warden's grip.
"At once my Lord!" Walker replied as he took to the air again.
However, a stray beam of necroplasm hit Walker before he could fly off, causing him to fall to the ground. Pariah turned to origin of the blast to see a human clad in a pale blue armor that was similar to all these other humans pretending to be ghosts. The most noticeable thing about this one was how his helmet had two sweeping horns on the sides, invoking a devil like appearance.
"And who are you, mortal?" Pariah said, curious as to what this human wanted.
"Please forgive my rude interruption," the pale armored man gave a mocking apology. "Where are my manners?" he added, keeping his mocking tone. "My name is Vladimir Masters, and I would like that gauntlet that you have on your arm," he told Pariah.
"The Reality Gauntlet is not for the likes of mortals," Pariah said as he set his daughter down on the ground.
"Oh, I beg to differ," Vlad said as his hand glowed before he flew at the Ghost King.
Once Vlad reached him, Pariah blocked the human's attack with his left arm. The king flinched slightly from the necroplasm burning his ectoplasm formed skin, yet it wasn't enough to deter Pariah as he swung his arm outward. Vlad was shocked as his arm was moved to side after his punch barely did much to the powerful ghost. The Rider-like man barely had time to register Pariah charging an ectoplasm shot from his right hand, but he was able to block the attack with a shield formed from his suit's necroplasm just in time. However, the blast from the Ghost King was far more powerful than he expected as Vlad found himself being pushed back.
"S-such power," Vlad groaned out as he continued to struggle against the blast.
"This is but barely a taste of my power Mortal," Pariah told Vlad as he increased the power behind his attack.
Vlad tried to hold out but he could feel that his necroplasm shield wouldn't last. Just when Vlad's shield was about to break, he was kicked away from the ectoplasm beam, allowing the blast to travel forward and ironically hit one of Pariah's thralls that was about to strike Zanki from behind. The billionaire turned around to see who kicked him and saw Kamen Rider Phantom, still in his Alligator Demon form, staring down Pariah Dark.
"You just don't know when to stay down, do you child?" Pariah questioned Danny, actually impressed with his foe still having some fight left in him.
"Yeah, I'm one stubborn little motherfucker," Danny replied forming his Alligator Mace in his right hand.
"Motherfucker…" Pariah repeated, finding the term amusing while he set his daughter down on the ground. "I like that," he said before rushing toward Danny, mace raised over his head.
Vlad watched as Danny blocked Pariah's attack with the shaft of his mace before kicking the King in the gut. Pariah backed away a few steps before firing an ectoplasm ray at Danny, only for the ray to phase through his opponent much to his annoyance. Danny in turn, swung his mace sideways, the alligator head opening and unleashing a stream of ectoplasm at Pariah once he was within range of the swing. Pariah yelled out; he didn't expect his human foe to use his weapon in such an unorthodox method. Danny smirked underneath his helmet as he rushed the Ghost King with Alligator Mace's jaws open.
Pariah brought his left arm up, attempting to block the oncoming attack, only to have the open mace clamp down on his arm. The alligator head started spinning around, mimicking a death roll, ripping and tearing Pariah's arm as he cried out in pain before one final twist resulting in his left arm snapping off.
"Damn you, Mortal," Pariah growled out before firing an ectoplasm beam at Danny.
The ghost ray passed right through Danny as he stood before the Ghost King, not affected by the attack.
"A mortal who is kicking your ass," Danny replied as he created a green doppelganger of his Artillery Mode. "And this is where you say goodbye," he added as the green doppelganger's gatling barrel started glowing.
SPECTRAL BLAST
The massive concentrated beam of ectoplasm flew toward Pariah, carrying enough power and force to certainly harm the Ghost King. Pariah stood his ground as he stretched out his left hand. Once the beam made contact with his hand, Pariah held the ectoplasm, that had now changed into a massive sphere in place much to Danny's horror.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" Danny shouted in disbelief at how his attack was halted.
"I believe this belongs to you child," Pariah said before throwing the massive orb of ectoplasm back at Danny.
Danny dismissed his doppelganger and formed two large shields to block the attack. The force of Danny's own attack hitting him was a different experience as he found himself being pushed back by the ectoplasm orb that was once his Spectral Blast finisher. He considered allowing his body to turn intangible but given how powerful the attack was, Danny feared that destructive power might end up creating an equally powerful shockwave.
"How unfortunate," Pariah said as he watched Danny struggle with the attack. "All that power, yet this is the extent of your resolve," he lamented. "You're becoming a demon, but you still cling onto your humanity," he continued while charging up his own power. "It really is such a waste," he concluded before hurling another ball of ectoplasm at Danny.
"NOW!" Vince shouted, catching Pariah's attention.
Once he turned toward where the voice was, Pariah was bombarded by ectoplasm rays from Desiree, throwing knives made of necroplasm by Sam, and eight blades that Duncan had summoned. The attacks weren't powerful, but the number of hits was enough to cause Pariah to back away. However, his ectoplasm sphere was still heading toward Danny.
"Danny, get out of there!" Sam shouted, worried that Danny wouldn't react in time.
However, Danny held his ground as he dispersed the shield and grabbed the ball of ectoplasm. He could feel the heat through his covered hands but ignore it as he threw the ball at the other ectoplasm ball coming toward him. The resulting shockwave from the two colliding balls of ectoplasm knocked everyone close to it off their feet and sent them sailing in random directions.
"What is wrong with that boy?" Desiree groaned as she struggled to pick herself back up. Once she managed to get on her feet, the demonic Djinn noticed that the humans she was fighting alongside were nowhere near her. "Well, that's a bummer," she said to herself as she floated up to see if she could spot one of the American Kamen Riders.
"Damn, that hurt," Duncan cursed as he tried to move his body.
The Red Spider Themed Rider had crashed into one of the walls of the school, imbedding himself to it. He struggled to free himself, but he was stuck in that wall.
"If only I can just…" he complained until he realized something. "I…am such a dumbass," he admitted as he focused on turning intangible.
A couple of seconds later, and Duncan had walked out of the wall he was stuck to. Once he turned tangible, he smacked himself in the face, ashamed that he forgot that his suit was still capable of doing that despite running on Necroplasm.
"That Vlad guy gives me a more advanced Rider Suit, and I forget that it's based on my old suit," Duncan lamented as he looked around, seeing that the fighting was still going on. "Looks like the fun hasn't stopped yet," he said, amused with the situation.
"Oh, but it is over for you," a familiar southern drawl voice said above Duncan.
Looking up, Duncan saw Walker floating a few feet above him. He could make out some ectoplasm oozing out of Walker's body, suggesting that he wasn't at his best right now.
"Not looking so hot are ya Warden?" Duncan taunted Walker.
Walker glared at the human before firing a ghost ray at him. Due to his injury, Walker's attack wasn't as strong as he had wanted, and the pain from the necroplasm that he was hit with caused his form to feel a burning sensation. Regardless, the ghost packed enough force to topple Duncan, as he was still recovering from the explosion from earlier.
"I will enjoy putting an end to you," Walker said as he towered over the downed Kamen Rider. "Maybe even more than when I destroyed that house and the people in it when you were hiding the Princess," he taunted Duncan.
"What did you say!?" Duncan shouted as he struggled to get back up. "I swear if you hurt Jazz and Fred, I'll…" he tried to continue but couldn't as Walker stomped onto his chest.
"You'll do what?" Walker continued to taunt Duncan, feeling very smug. "Without that armor you are nothing, human," he told the red Kamen Rider.
Duncan had no comeback, but he wasn't going to take Walker's word lying down. With a defiant yell, Duncan charged at Walker, fists blazing with necroplasm. Duncan threw a strong right haymaker, but Walker sidestepped the human, not feeling the need to use his powers do avoid the practically telegraphed attack. He even saw the spinning back fist that Duncan followed with and leaned back, allowing the attack to breeze past him, all the while keeping that smug look on his face.
"What was that?" Walker taunted his human foe. "Is this so-called Kamen Rider Spider all out of steam?" he insulted the Rider.
"My…name is…" Duncan growled out as he summoned his arm blades and back blades. "KAMEN RIDER EDGE, YOU ASSHOLE!" he suddenly shouted as the back blades launched themselves over Walker and stabbed his back.
Walker yelled out in pain as the blades held him in place. Duncan raised both of his arm blades toward the sky and channeled as much necroplasm into them, preparing to finish the ghost warden off. As he brought his arms down, Walker continued struggling to break free, but his attack didn't hit his target.
Instead, Duncan was blasted to the side by a ghost ray, causing the back blades that held Walker to vanish. Walker, looked at the source of the attack and saw Bullet approaching his boss.
"Well that was a close shave," Bullet quipped as he turned his attention to Walker. "Wasn't expecting the kid to suddenly get a power boost huh?" he remarked.
"No, I did not," Walker agreed, not amused with Bullet's comment, but he didn't have the time to reprimand his underling. Instead his attention was on the downed Kamen Rider. "We better finish him off right now," he told Bullet.
"So, you don't want this one as a prisoner?" Bullet asked, surprised that his boss would pass up on adding a new human to his collection of inmates.
"He's more trouble than what he's worth," Walker said as the two of them approached Duncan.
"Duncan!" Desiree cried out as she flew to the human.
Once she reached him, Desiree grabbed a hold of him as he tried to balance himself. The red Kamen Rider looked at the Djinn and nodded to her.
"I'm fine," Duncan assured her, but Desiree wasn't convinced.
"We should get back to the others," Desiree told Duncan as she lifted him up. "You're in no shape to take the two of them on.
"I can still fight," Duncan tried to argue, but the green skinned woman wasn't going to let him.
"Listen to her Duncan," a male voice said from behind Duncan and Desiree.
The two of them turned around to see Vince and Sam approaching them.
"Desiree, take Duncan somewhere to help him recover," Vince ordered Desiree. "Sam and I will hold off these two," he said he and his nephew's girlfriend moved past Duncan and Desiree.
"Wait…" Duncan choked out, feeling weaker all the sudden. "That bastard, Walker, he told me that he blew up you house with Jazz and Fred still in it," he told Vince.
Sam and Desiree gasped, horrified by what Walker did.
"What about…?" Sam wanted to asked but she feared the worse.
"Which one is Walker," Vince said in an even tone, clinching his fists.
"Skull face right there," Duncan pointed at Walker.
Vince looked at the ghost, but remained silent as he walked toward Walker. Sam wanted to say something to Danny's uncle but she was cut off by the man's words.
"Sam, you take care of the shirtless one," Vince told the female Kamen Rider. "This one is mine," he said as he continued walking toward his foe.
Sam didn't say anything, but she did as Vince said as she created two necroplasm swords and rushed toward Bullet. Bullet took a step back to brace himself while Walker tried to fire a ghost ray at the rushing female human. Before he could fire, Walker was hit in the chest by Vince, who had suddenly appeared in front of him and punched him with what felt like the force of a speeding truck. The force of the punch sent Walker flying away from where Bullet was standing, with Vince running after him.
Duncan and Desiree were stunned by the sight of Walker being sent flying by Vince's punch. Despite the armor Vince wore being inferior to his old Rider form and Danny's own, Duncan figured that it had enough power to enhance the older Fenton man's own strength and speed so that he could do that. However, there was one thing that Duncan and Desiree can agree on when they saw that punch.
"He is pissed," Duncan stated the obvious fact.
"We should get going," Desiree said, not wanting to anger the human anymore that Walker already did.
Duncan nodded his head as he let Desiree fly them out of the combat zone so that he could recover his strength. As they flew in the air, Duncan caught a glimpse of Danny continuing his fight with Pariah.
'Hold on a little longer buddy,' Duncan thought to himself. 'I'll be ready to back you up soon,' he added.
Desiree spotted a clearing that they could use to help with Duncan's recovery while the fighting continued. Once they landed, Desiree immediately went to work healing Duncan up. However, her powers were being blocked by Duncan's armor as the necroplasm that powered it was preventing the ectoplasm Desiree was using to reach Duncan's body.
"I need you to deactivate your armor for a moment," Desiree told the human.
"You sure that's a good idea?" Duncan asked, warry of their location being spotted.
"You want to get back into the fight, don't you?" Desiree retorted as she waited for the boy to do as she said.
Duncan didn't retort, conceding to Desiree's point as he deactivated his armor. Once he was back to normal, Duncan felt a wave of ectoplasmic energy enter his body. It was a strange feeling as it wasn't hostile and his body was not convulsing in response.
"So how long will this take?" Duncan asked.
"Not too long," Desiree replied. "You should be healed up in a minute," she told him.
"That's good," Duncan said, looking back at the school where the fighting was still going. "I need more power if I'm going to stand a chance of helping Danny take on the Ghost King," he added.
"How much power do you need?" Desiree asked, her mind thinking of what she could do.
Duncan turned to look at Desiree, remembering how she stabilized herself by infusing herself with Nocturne's core, resulting in her becoming a demon. He also remembered how Danny's newest form was also called a demon. The power of a demon may be enough, but he didn't know what the risks would be if he too became a demon.
"Enough to match a demon, but not become one," Duncan answered. "I don't think I'm hardcore enough to become a demon," he admitted.
"So, a temporary power boost then," Desiree said as she stood up. "I think I can manage that," she raised her arms up, ectoplasm glowing within her hands. "With no strings attached for once," she added before unleashing a beam of ectoplasm onto Duncan's body.
Duncan felt a slight burning sensation within his body for a brief moment. Once the feeling had passed, his body didn't feel any different from before. If anything, Duncan felt disappointed that there wasn't much fanfare with this so-called power boost.
"That's it?" Duncan remarked. "I was kind of expecting myself to be glowing, turning green, or something like that," he complained.
"I gave you a power boost to help you when you're in you Kamen Rider form," Desiree told Duncan, annoyed with how the boy was acting. "Once you've transformed, the ectoplasm I gave you will amplify the artificial ectoplasm your belt uses, and double your strength and speed," she explained.
"Only double?" Duncan noted as he placed his belt on.
"Yes, too much ectoplasm and the fake ectoplasm in your belt will react badly and destroy you," Desiree told Duncan. "And I can't let my favorite human go boom on me, now can I?" she added, in a teasing manner.
"Well, that sounds awesome," Duncan snarked. "Henshin," he said activating his transformation.
Now in his Rider form, Duncan felt a massive jolt go through his body causing him to stumble backwards.
"I thought you said no strings attached!" Duncan yelled in anger.
"I did!" Desiree yelled back. "The suit's powered by fake ectoplasm, the real deal is trying to intergrade with it without killing you," she explained.
"And how long will that take?" Duncan asked, still pissed with the shock.
"Hopefully it'll pass in a few minutes," Desiree answered, not sure herself.
"A minute might be all the Ghost King needs to kill me," Duncan said slumping his shoulders. "I'll just have to take it easy and avoid fighting until I reach Danny then," he added as he turned toward the war-torn school yard.
"Then it looks like I'll be escorting you," Desiree said as she floated over Duncan.
Near the school entrance
Walker's body collided with school's bike rack; the metal bent under the ghost warden's weight. Walker looked up, glaring at Vince as the human approached him. The silhouette of the armored suit was a near dead copy of the boy's own, but the one wearing this suit was not like the boy who called himself Kamen Rider Phantom. The way this one moved, the power behind his attacks, and how he keeps reading his moves unnerved Walker.
"I won't lose to a mere human," Walker growled before firing a ghost ray at Vince.
The wearing of the Proto-Phantom Driver sidestepped to the right to avoid the ray, continuing his advance. Walker fired three more ghost rays, but Vince dodged them all before rushing the ghost. Losing his cool once again, Walker struggled to break free from the bike ramp and was rewarded with Vince's left knee colliding with his face.
The momentum of Vince propelling himself toward Walker caused his flying knee strike to tip the two of them over with Walker hitting the ground while Vince landed on his feet. Walker continued to struggle to free himself while Vince stood, his back facing the ghost warden.
"Just phase yourself free," Vince told Walker, still not facing the ghost.
Walker cursed himself for being so stupid as to forget that he could just turn intangible. Once he freed himself, Walker glared at the man's back.
"Telling me how to free myself was foolish mistake," Walker told Vince as he struck at the human with an ectoplasm charged right haymaker.
However, Vince turned in time to block the attack with his left hand before countering with a straight right punch to Walker's stomach. Walker coughed up ectoplasm before backing away, doubling over in pain. Vince followed up with a front kick with his right leg, hitting Walker's face with no remorse.
"Blowing up my brother's house with my niece inside was a foolish mistake," Vince retorted, staring down Walker as he made his way to the ghost. "A mistake you won't soon forget," his tone much deeper.
Despite the pain he was experiencing, Walker picked himself back up and tried to throw a punch at Vince. The punch was too wide and sloppy, allowing Vince to catch Walker's fist, and twisted it. Walker yelled out in pain as he struggled to break free of Vince's grip. He tried to turn intangible again, but Walker couldn't as the glowing orbs on Vince's suit were interfering with his ghost powers.
"What!?" Walker yelled out, shocked that his powers were no longer working.
"My brother and sister-in-law may be considered crazy, but they are brilliant inventors that managed to figure out a way to counter a ghost's ability to turn intangible," Vince told Walker. "This prototype suit is that innovation given physical form," he added before punching Walker's face with his free hand.
Walker cried out in pain from Vince's punch, but he couldn't back away due to the human's grip on him was firm. Vince pulled Walker toward him and drove his knee into the ghost warden's stomach before releasing him. Walker took one step back before he fired a ghost ray at the human, but the attack was far weaker than he thought since Vince was able to block the attack with little trouble.
"B-b-b-but how?" Walker stuttered; he couldn't believe that this human was beating him.
Vince didn't say anything to Walker, rather he rushed the ghost and hit him with a full charged punch into his chest. The ectoplasm coursing through his suit dug its way into Walker's body while Vince threw another punch, this time aimed at Walker's head, knocking him down onto the ground.
"Get up," Vince told Walker, standing over the down ghost.
Walker looked up to see the armored human, petrified by the unfeeling gaze that the large compound eyes one that featureless mask gave off. This was a whole new feeling for Walker, this sense of dread, hesitation, and powerlessness. It was not something the ghost warden was used to and he couldn't stand it.
"Just who the Hell are you!?" Walker yelled as he tried to lunge at Vince, but the human sidestepped him.
However, his foe did not answer him, instead the armored human evaded each of Walker's sloppy attacks. Walker could feel his ectoplasm draining, but he fought on, determined to take down this human. Vince on the hand, he kept his composure as he let his foe exhaust himself. He caught Walker's last punch with his right hand. Walker struggled to pull his arm free, but Vince held on much to Walker's rising fear and irritation.
"SAY SOMETHING, DAMN YOU!" Walker shouted, losing his temper because of Vince's silence.
Vince pulled his left arm back, charging his fist up with as much ectoplasm as the Proto-Phantom Driver able to give him. Walker could see the ectoplasm crackling like electricity, feeling the power contained within the human's fist was enough for Walker to continue his struggled to break free, but the Proto-Phantom Driver's strange ability to interfere with his own powers prevented him from breaking free.
"This is for Jazz," Vince told Walker before throwing his punch right into Walker's face.
The force and ectoplasm behind Vince's punch was so powerful that he obliterated Walker's head. The now headless body of Walker collapsed onto the ground as Vince walked away from his opponent.
Sam vs. Bullet
Sam's fight with Bullet was far easier than the human girl expected. She evaded one of his sloppy punches before countering with a quick back hand slash with a necroplasm dagger she created. The shirtless ghost cried out as he backed away, keeping his distance from the human before looking down to see a shallow cut on his chest. Bullet let out a sharp gasp as he glared at the girl.
"Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep this figure!" Bullet yelled at Sam as he prepared to fire a ghost ray at her.
"Wow, a ghost whose as shallow as Paulina," Sam remarked, dodging Bullet's ghost ray and retaliating by throwing three necroplasm knives.
Seeing the knives coming toward his face, Bullet stopped his attack to shield his face. Realizing that this was her chance to get in close, Sam rushed toward the defending ghost. When the knives hit his arms, Bullet hissed in pain as the necroplasm burned them.
"You…little…" Bullet growled, lowering his arms to see that Sam wasn't within his field of vision. "Where did…?" he wondered.
"Right here!" Sam answered, right in front of Bullet and under his chin.
Bullet looked down to see Sam's left fist rising up, necroplasm covering her fist as she unleashed a strong uppercut right at his lowered nose. The force of Sam's punch knocked the ghost back as he fell to the ground, clutching his nose in pain. Sam watched as Bullet continued to hold his nose, complaining about how much damage she had done to him.
"Oh, suck it up you big ecto-baby," Sam said as she formed a necroplasm bo staff. "I'm just getting warmed up," she added while twirling the bo staff.
Bullet finally let go of his nose, enraged that this human would mock him. Just as quickly as his rage built up, it was replaced with fear as he saw Sam aim her bo staff right between his legs.
"You wouldn't…" Bullet's whimpering was cut off.
"Yes, I would," Sam quickly replied as she swung the bo staff.
Danny's location
Danny heard a high pitch cry from somewhere within the school grounds, but he ignored it as he blocked an attack from a thrall. He pushed the thrall away before countering with an ectoplasm sword, slicing the ghost in half. Portals emerged from the severed halves, sending the thrall back into the Ghost Zone. He surveyed the area, searching for Pariah so that he could finish this battle. He could feel the Ghost King's power radiating throughout the school grounds, but he couldn't pinpoint his exact location.
As he continued to feel out for Pariah, Danny didn't notice two thralls approaching him from behind and jumped to attack.
Before they could hit Danny, the thralls were hit by a pair of ghost rays, blowing their heads apart just as Danny turned around to see the thralls.
"What the!?" Danny shouted, caught off guard by what just happened.
"You shouldn't be spacing out Danny," Desiree said as she and Duncan approached the American Kamen Rider.
"She's right man," Duncan agreed with the Djinn. "What's wrong with you?" he asked.
"Been looking for Pariah," Danny replied.
"Well, he can't be too hard to find," Duncan said. "So, what's the plan when we find him?" he asked.
"We?" Danny was confused that Duncan wanted to take on the Ghost King with him.
"Of course, man," Duncan said. "We're the American Kamen Riders, and we fight together," he told Danny.
Danny was silent for a bit before nodding his head.
"Oh yeah, we are the American Kamen Riders," Danny agreed. "So, let's take down a king," he added.
"How amusing," Pariah's voice was heard above the two Kamen Riders and Djinn. "I would like to see you children try," he challenged them.
Danny and Duncan looked up and took on guard stances.
"Des, this is between the three of us," Duncan said to Desiree. "So, can you please help out everyone else," he added.
"That was my plan," Desiree replied. "I may be a demon now, but even I know I don't have the power to take on him," she said as she flew away from this fight.
'Good girl,' Duncan thought to himself as he turned his attention toward Pariah, who descended to the ground. "You ready buddy?" he asked Danny.
"Think you can keep up?" Danny retorted.
"Is that a challenge?" Duncan inquired as he felt the ectoplasm and necroplasm surge through his body.
Danny didn't reply to Duncan's question as he lunged at the Ghost King, Duncan followed his friend's example and charged.
Author's note: This has been a long over due chapter. I actually blame it on me playing Gundam Battle Operation 2 nearly every day since it was released back in October. For a game with no plot and is nothing more than a multiplayer team deathmatch, but it is so much fun.
