Emily's palms were sweaty and her stomach was in knots, but she knew that she had to do this. She was glad that she opted to rent a car from the airport instead of calling a cab because she couldn't imagine being in a small space with someone else right now. She was a wreck.

The traffic in Dallas was light. It was only seven in the morning and even though she didn't get a minute of sleep last night, Emily felt wide awake as she drove on the interstate to Victoria's parents house.

After talking with Alison, Emily decided it was time for her to end her relationship with Victoria, regardless if Alison took her back or not. It wasn't fair to Victoria if Emily was in love with someone else. Victoria deserved better than that, Emily was certain of it.

It was going to hurt to lose Victoria. The model had always been a light in Emily's life since the day Emily met her. Victoria was stunning in all ways. Beauty, kindness, talent, intelligence. She had no flaw other than giving Emily chances she didn't deserve.

When Emily met Victoria years ago, she truly believed that Victoria would be the woman who made her forget about her first love. And Victoria did, for a while. Falling for Victoria was easy, careless, and fun. There wasn't a part of Victoria that Emily didn't like. She was wonderful in any way imaginable. If Alison DiLaurentis didn't exist, Victoria would have been the woman of Emily's dreams.

But Alison did exist. When Alison was in the same room as Emily, she could feel every part of her body begging to go to the blonde. She could feel herself pull like a magnet to Alison, no matter how hard she tried to fight it. And for the longest time, Emily did fight it. But something in snapped her last night. Emily didn't know if it was seeing Alison kiss someone else so passionately or if, finally, she admitted to herself the truth. Either way, Emily realized that it would always be Alison who had her heart. All of it. With none to spare to anyone else.

As Emily pulled into the flower-lined driveway, her feet felt heavy. She took a deep breath in the car before walking up the brick pathway to the large two story house. Before she could ring the doorbell, the door opened and someone launched themselves in Emily's arms.

Emily stumbled backwards but it only took her half of a second to realize it was Victoria who was wrapped around of her. Emily closed her eyes and let her hands feel Victoria's body pressed against hers. She wanted to remember what it felt like to have Victoria in her arms this last time. Emily wanted to remember her outline and all of her edges. Where her body dipped and creased.

Victoria brought her hands to the back of Emily's head and neck as she leaned forward to capture her lips with the brunette's. "Mm, I've missed you, Em."

Emily allowed Victoria's lips to melt with hers over and over again. It was incredibly selfish but she needed to feel Victoria's deep kiss one last time. She wanted to remember the patterns of her kiss. The softness of her lips.

When the blonde pulled back, Emily wiped tears from her eyes she didn't know had fallen. Victoria's smile dropped. "Em? What's wrong?"

"Can we go inside?"

Victoria took Emily's hand and nodded. "Yeah, baby, of course. Are you okay?"

Emily remained silent as she let Victoria lead her through the foyer and into the sunroom. Victoria's parents house was one of the nicest homes that Emily had ever been in. Each room looked like it was straight out of a William-Sonoma catalogue. The pair made themselves comfortable on a love-sofa that she was sure costed at least four grand.

Victoria played with Emily's fingers in her lap. "What's going on? Talk to me."

Emily felt her stomach turn. This was it. Her love of three years was about to slip from her fingers. The perfect woman, gone. Tears came rushing to her eyes again. She felt like she would never be ready to leave Victoria. What was she doing? Victoria was a dream. How could she let a woman of this caliber go? She couldn't. She didn't want to.

Emily's eyes searched Victoria's face. The blonde was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women in the world. And she was absolutely head over heels in love with Emily. Letting her go would be… mad.

She wanted to pretend none of this ever happened. She could stay in Dallas for Thanksgiving and fly straight back home to Calabasas. She loved Victoria. A life with a woman like her was unheard of.

Emily leaned into Victoria to press a kiss against her lips that would vanish the last twenty-four hours until she heard a song playing in the distance. Somewhere, someone in the house was listening to music. Emily lost herself in the sound of the guitar strings strumming along to John Mayer's raspy voice. He sang the cover of the song so beautifully that it could have been his own.

She's a good girl, loves her mama.

Loves Jesus, and America too.

She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis.

Loves horses, and her boyfriend too.

Emily closed her eyes as memories flooded her back to six years ago at a venue watching a musician on stage.

Alison stood beside of her, her hand intertwined with the brunette's as she grinned from ear to ear in anticipation waiting for the artist to begin singing as he strummed his guitar. "I love this song."

Alison had dragged her to a concert and Emily surprised herself when she began having as much fun as Alison. Well, maybe not just as much fun. Her girlfriend's reds were pink from the non-stop dancing and singing she had started since the beginning of the concert.

"You do know it's not actually his song, right?" Emily laughed as she pulled Alison against her.

Alison grinned, "it is now."

The artist walked to the mic with his guitar in hand and began singing, "she's a good girl, loves her mama…"

Alison sang each word along with John Mayer and Emily couldn't care less about the artist on the stage. She was fixed on the way Alison's dimples popped out of her cheeks as she sang and the way her blues twinkled when a light from the stage hit her eyes.

As John Mayer sang about falling, Emily understood every meaning of the word as she looked at Alison. She had never seen anyone—anything, so perfect in her life.

Alison glanced at Emily for a second before pulling her girlfriend to her and crashing their lips together in the sweetest kiss Emily had possibly ever had. Alison wrapped her arms around of Emily's neck and whispered, "I love you" before kissing her earlobe and turning to join John Mayer singing Free Fallin' once again.

"Em?"

Emily opened her eyes and tore herself from her memory. Her doubt about leaving Victoria vanished within seconds. She would always love the woman sitting on the couch with her, but she would never be in love with her. She couldn't. Her heart was with a woman 1,600 miles away. Emily took a breath before she began.

"I want to start this conversation off by telling you that the love that I have for you is real. Everything has been real for me since the beginning and I wouldn't change that. I could never regret you."

Victoria slowly unwrapped her hand from Emily's. "This isn't going to be a good conversation, is it?"

Emily fought tears as she looked at Victoria and shook her head. "No."

Victoria took a deep breath and shut her eyes. "You saw her, didn't you?"

Her. It was always about her. Her was enough of a name between the two of them that Victoria didn't have to say a name. They both knew.

Emily wanted to comfort Victoria but she knew that would be poor choice to do so. Victoria needed to move on, and Emily needed to let her. "I did."

Victoria leaned forward with her elbows on her knees and put her head in her hands. She couldn't look at Emily. Not when she knew what was to come. She knew where this conversation was heading.

"Did you sleep with—,"

"No, Vic. I didn't. I didn't do anything with her. I need you to believe that. Please." Emily could hear Victoria sigh in her hands. The room stayed quiet for a few passing moments. When Victoria looked up, her cheeks were tear stained and the image made Emily feel sick that she could do this to a woman she loved.

"You still love her."

It wasn't a question. Emily's head dropped. She could feel her heart break in her chest. She knew this was the beginning of the end for her and Victoria. A woman she loved, but could never love enough.

"I do."

"This isn't the way I thought I'd hear the words 'I do' coming from you."

Emily felt tears streaming down her face all at once when she heard Victoria's voice crack. She was going to miss Victoria. So much.

"I don't know what to say to you, Emily. I feel.. this hurts."

Emily wiped her cheeks and brought her eyes to Victoria's. It didn't matter how hard Emily tried to prevent herself from crying, she couldn't stop the tears from falling. The pain in her chest grew with each second that passed.

"I'm so sorry. I wanted it to be you—,"

"But it was always Alison, wasn't it? It always has been."

Always. It had always been Alison who owned Emily's heart. Always Alison who was the girl Emily longed for.

"I love you, Victoria. I really do love you."

"But you're in love with her, right?"

Emily pinched at her own hands. She didn't want to talk about Alison to Victoria. It didn't feel right. She didn't want to hurt her girlfriend any more than she already had. Any additional pain was just cruel.

"You deserve so much better than me," Emily admitted. "I am so sorry. I can't ignore the feeling that I have. It was never anything that you did or didn't do. You couldn't have been more of a perfect girlfriend to me. You are perfect, Victoria. This is all on me."

"When did you see her?"

Emily folded her hands in her lap as Victoria brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs.

"Last night we all went to Spencer's for Friendsgiving. She was there."

"And nothing happened between you two?"

"No, it didn't. I wouldn't do that to you again. I could never."

"But Emily, you are doing this to me again. You may not have hooked up with her but you're leaving me for her again. I blame myself at this point. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.."

"Vic—,"

"It's true, Em. You can be as nice about this as you want but now, looking back, I think we both know that Bora Bora should have been it for us."

"I don't regret any time that I have spent with you. I wouldn't change anything—,"

"That's because you're not the one with your heart broken, Emily. I am. I'm the one losing here, not you."

Victoria stood from the couch and made her way over to the large window. She watched the birds outside fly from branch to branch for a few moments before she spoke again.

"I can't believe there's still a part of me that wants you to stay with me even if I know that you're in love with Alison. How crazy is that? That I still want you even though you want someone else? Love is so unfair. It doesn't give you the opportunity to choose, it just does as it pleases. You don't get to decide who you love, you can only decide if you let yourself love them."

Victoria turned back to Emily as she continued. "Just how I can't control how I still love you, I know that you feel the same way about Alison. And if you think there's a chance she feels the same way about you, you need to choose her. I know you, Emily Fields, and I know that if you let her go, you're going to regret it and it doesn't matter if it's me or another girl who you try to fill that void with, it will never happen."

Emily was in awe at the woman in front of her. Victoria was one in a million. The best person she had ever known. Three years later and the blonde still impressed Emily every single day with her generosity and kindness. The brunette knew that one day Victoria was going to make a woman the luckiest woman in the entire world.

Emily stood and reached for Victoria's hands. "I will never meet anyone as perfect as you, Vic. You will always be one of my favorite people. I will always love you."

Victoria leaned forward to press her lips to Emily's and the brunette pulled her in.

Emily didn't know how long she stayed in Victoria's arms, kissing the blonde until she was left breathless, but she didn't care. She knew this kiss was one of love, good luck, and maybe most importantly, goodbye.

Alison wrapped her hands around of her coffee as she sat down at her parents kitchen counter. Her head was still spinning from last night. She started the night concerned with how she was going to react to seeing Emily, and somewhere in the middle she ended up in Lorenzo's lap, kissing him until he pulled away from her saying he had to stop before he lost full control of himself. If that wasn't enough, Emily confessed her feelings saying that she was still in love with her and it made Alison more confused than ever.

The look on Emily's face made Alison believe every word that she said. Alison could tell that Emily was struggling with her decisions from the past. Still, it frustrated Alison that Emily waited four years to do this. It had taken Alison four years to move on and now Emily was asking for another chance. Now that Alison decided to leave Emily in the past.

Last night, there was a part of Alison that wanted to throw herself at Emily and push the brunette against the wall, kissing her until her lips were bruised. She wanted to fall into old patterns with Emily and claim her all over again. But the other half of Alison wanted to get on a plane and run back to Los Angeles. Emily crushed her.. twice. Was she foolish enough to let her ex do it a third?

"What's up, brat?"

Jason strolled in the kitchen and poured himself a cup of coffee that Alison just brewed. Alison watched him as he added creamer and stirred his coffee.

"Do you own a shirt? Who do you think you are? Thor?"

Jason ran his hand through his long blonde hair and leaned against the kitchen counter, "well, I do kinda look like him. You're just jealous that you're not hottest one in this family."

"Please, I'm the hottest on this side of the coast."

"We're such a humble family."

Alison chuckled as she sipped her coffee. She and her brother had gotten a lot closer over the last few years. When they lived under the same roof, the two were always fighting about something. She was thankful that the two built a relationship once they were both out of the house.

"Didn't you hang out with your posse last night?" Jason asked as he put a piece of bread in the toaster.

"Posse?" Alison laughed, "what are we? Back in high school?"

"Oh, whatever. You know who I meant. Your group. Your clique. Your friends."

"Yeah, I did. We had a good time."

Jason brought his cup of coffee to his lips and raised his eyebrow at Alison. "Mm."

Alison didn't miss the look that her brother was giving her behind his mug. She leaned back into the barstool she was sitting on. "Are you going to tell me why you're looking at me like you want me to explain something or did you want me to play the guessing game."

"The guessing game would be more fun."

"Jason, say it."

Jason grabbed his toast and put it on a small plate before spreading grape jelly on the bread. "I'm assuming Emily was there as well."

"She was."

"How was that?"

"It was—, she—,"

Alison paused and crossed her arms. She didn't know where to start. Seeing Emily last night made her feel a flood of emotions. She was happy to see Emily but also nervous. She felt mad when Emily insulted her relation with Lorenzo. She was confused and angry when Emily confessed her feelings, but she was also.. happy.

When Emily told Alison that she was still in love with her, Alison's heart skipped a few beats. She was pretty sure. Alison couldn't deny that even though she was upset with Emily, she felt pure euphoria when the brunette expressed her feelings.

"Did something happen between you two?"

Alison shook her head, "no. I mean, kind of."

"Alright Ali, now you're making me play the guessing game."

Alison laughed and ran her fingers through her hair. She, too, felt like she was playing a guessing game with herself. How did she feel? Was she happy? Upset? Sad?

"Emily told me that she's still in love with me."

Jason nearly choked on his toast before he quickly washed it down with water. In between coughs, he managed to speak. "She told you she's… what? Doesn't Emily have a girlfriend? What's her name? I see her face all the time. That really hot supermo—,"

Jason's questions fell short when he stopped himself. Alison rolled her eyes at her brother. Oh, how she just loved hearing how attractive her ex's girlfriend is. "Yeah, she's hot. I know. Victoria. And yes, Emily is dating her."

"What are you going to do? What did you say to her?"

Alison shrugged, "I didn't say anything. I told her I didn't know what to say. After that, she just left. She told me she was going to fight for me."

"Do you want her to do that? To fight for you?"

"I don't.. I don't know."

"If she has a girlfriend, I don't think it's a good idea."

"Even if she didn't, I don't think it's a good idea Jason. Nothing about anything with probably a good idea. I'm better off just sticking with Lorenzo."

Jason's eyes widened as he cocked his head to the side. Dammit. She didn't mean to let that one slip. It wasn't her plan to tell anyone about Lorenzo. Not after Emily left her head spinning.

"Lorenzo? As in the cop? Here? In Rosewood?"

Alison stood to put her coffee mug in the sink. "I think you have exceeded your question limit for the day."

"Oh no, you're telling me all about whatever is going on between you and Lorenzo. I thought you weren't even dating? When did this start? How long have you been seeing him? And God, how many years did it finally take him? Like, eight?"

Alison groaned as she left the kitchen with her brother following behind of her. She may have been better off if she had chosen to play the guessing game after all.
