Chapter 19 Part 2: Reunion and Recovery

Axane POV:

"Jabali?" I and Nala said in Unison.

"Hey, it has been a long time, girls," Jabali said. I can't believe it. For years I have waited for this moment and finally, I met Jabali again. I miss him so much. I and Nala rush forward to him and gave him tight hug. which made the three of us ended up on the floor. Jabali was chuckling at the current position he was now. I am pretty sure he misses us as well. We all got up and relax for a while from a "BIG group hug.

"I never thought we would never see you again," Nala said with a tear forming in her eyes.

"Yeah, I thought so too," Jabali replied to his sister. I smile at the sight of two siblings reunited from a long separation. But that made me envy Nala so much because he still has Jabali but Me, I lost Simba, my brother. Well, I will let them have this moment of happiness.

"You've grown so much, Sister,"

"You've gotten hairier, Jabali,"

"Yeah. But I'm still the same."

The two siblings continue to converse while I was just sitting next to them, letting them enjoy the moment. After that, Nala was yawning and went to sleep. It was just me and Jabali who were awake. It was awkwardly quiet and I was waiting for one of us to make a conversation. But what should we talk about? I was about to open mouth to speak but Jabali went first.

"How was life in the Pridelands?" he asked.

"Not pleasant. The hyenas have turned the Pridelands into a wasteland. Most herds have moved on and starvation has become the main issue to our pride. Scar was doing anything on fixing it. All he did is just sit in the throne, doing nothing but letting the lionesses do the work. He even let the hyenas take advantage of us. Those mangy bastards always come to our privacy just for the entertainment. I really wanted to kill them but I know it would not be wise to use violence as the answer. Jabali, we have suffered so much. We lost many lionesses each month. I don't how long would Mother and Aunt Sarafina last from Scar's Tyranny." I explained. I could feel like I was about to cry. The situation was really terrible that it really torment me. Then Jabali went close to me and wrapped his arms around as he tried to comfort me. I noticed that he started sniffing the air around me. Then he looked at me with a questioning face and spoke.

"Axane, why do you have Scar's scent all around you?"

"Shit! He knows!" I thought. I was silent at his question, fearing at what will he think about Scar forcing his loyal subjects including me as his fuck toys. I need to calm down and tell him the truth. He will understand. I hope.

"Ever since he became the king, he has been forcing most of the lionesses including mother and Aunt Sarafina to mate with him but he was not successful in bearing them cubs. Then later on when I became the age of 20, that bastard asks me to be his queen. I did not want to but he said that if I reject him, he will kill my family. You no idea what he does to me every night. He would punish me for questioning his request, I get raped every night, and he won't even let me out in the cave for the whole day. This was torture, Jabali. I hope you can understand." When I finish explaining, I could not hold my tears anymore so I let them out. I sobbed like a goddamn child. The torment was too much for me to handle. Jabali continues to comfort me and he was on my side for the whole time.

"Why don't you get some rest? Tomorrow I want you and Nala to meet someone." He said.

"Alright. Good Night Jabali,"

"Good Night, Axane," Then both of us went straight to a night of deep sleep.

*Timeskip - Next Day*

After gaining our energy back and meeting Jabali in the forest, he gave us a detail of the place where he currently living right now. He mentions last night about someone to meet. Whoever he/she is, I think that person might help us. We've been traveling in the forest for a whole morning and I am liking it. A little long walking should stretch my body through exhaustion.

"How far are we, Jabali?" Nala asked.

"Not that far. We're close by," He replied.

We walked in the forest for the next 30 minutes until when we passed to a bush, I saw a small hut, in a small open space. I'm guessing this where Jabali stayed for the last 4 years. I have to admit he and that person he is with, did a good job on making this shelter. We approach the door of the hut and Jabali to knock it.

"Jabali? is that you?," A female voice was heard inside the hut.

"Yes, it's me. Can you let me?" After a 5 minute silence, the door opened, revealing a figure of... another Orokin?

"Jabali! Where have you' ve-" She paused at her last sentence, glancing at our direction. The Orokin was a blonde with a cut left ear and has a scar in her right eye, She wears clothing similar to the ones in the room that Mother showed me back in the Pridelands. she looked older than me by 5 years. We were staring at each other for the past 10 minutes, not knowing what to say. Jabali opened his mouth to break the silence.

"Axane. Nala. This Lady Lana. My caretaker and... Mufasa's sister or that what she claims to be."

My gaze was still on her. After all these years, Aunt Lana was still alive and living in the jungle. A lot of questions were roaming in my head such as why did you leave the pride lands, why does she have a cut left ear and a scar in her right eye, or why she didn't return in the pride lands. From the look of her face, she was aware of my questions lingering through my head.

"I know you guys have questions. Why don't you all come inside and get yourselves some rest first?" Aunt Lana said and the three of us went inside the hut.

*Timeskip*

After a short rest, we were at the dining table, ready to her all the explanation that Aunt Lana is going to make regarding her absence in the Pridelands. But before I could ask a question, Aunt Lana spoke first.

"Before you can ask some question, I want to hear everything on whats going on with the Pridelands. I heard from Jabali that Scar took over after the death of my brother and my nephew. I want to hear from the perspective of you." It did not take me long to explain to her about the condition of the pride lands. After I finish explaining to her, she was shocked at how his brother has done to the pride rock.

"I never thought Scar would do such things to the others. I'm very sorry you had to go through all of that. Even I could not survive his reign of tyranny." She said.

"Now it's my turn. I think you already what questions I'm going to ask." I stated.

"Yes. Why I left the Pridelands and did not return..." She pauses for a while and spoke again. "It all When I first came to the Pridelands."
