"Gideon, activate log," Barry sighed with annoyance as the terminal located in his 'mind lab' clicked on to reveal Gideon's face. "The date? December 23. One month until the catastrophe. You know, it's weird. I fought through the crisis with only one ability. Running. And yet even now, with millions of powers at my fingertips...I can't help but think the good guys won't win this one," Barry placed a small gauntlet onto the mannequin wearing his still under-construction Flash suit, clicking it on. He had been taking his time with the suit, making sure it was absolutely perfect for it's debut during Catastrophe.

"I don't know. The last month has been...weird. I've had people going all around the world and even galaxies to get recruits. J'onn brought back his niece from Mars, who was named M'gann M'orzz. Hal even got the Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet Lanterns to help us, as well as Kyle Rayner, the White Lantern," Barry said as he tied to cords together, before using it to funnel a sort of grey liquid into the suit.

"We located Arthur Curry and Victor Stone in New Zealand, apparently they were on a Justice League mission there when the addition occured. Oliver recruited Sara Lance, Laurel Lance, and Huntress or Helena Bertinelli, who refuses to disclose her name to the Guardians. Ray Palmer has agreed to be a member under the Atom. And Bruce brought forth Nightwing, Batgirl, and Robin. Or, Richard Grayson, Barbara Gordon, and Tim Drake," said Barry.

"I even took the liberty of going into the past and future to get a few friends. Kendra Saunders, or Hawkgirl. Carter Hall, or Hawkman. John Smith, or the Red Tornado. Nate Heywood, or Steel, and our good friend Cynthia Reynolds, or Gypsy," He said, pouring even more grey liquid into the suit legs. "I also have Argus, the DEO, and my Parademons on hold,"

"Let's see," Barry tapped his 'outside' gauntlet, pulling up a list of names Cap had given him just that morning. "On the Avenger's side, we have...Reed Richards, or Mr. Fantastic. Sue Storm, or Invisible Woman. Johnny Storm, or Human Torch. Ben Grimm, or Thing. James Rhodes, or War Machine. And Lucas 'Luke' Cage, or Luke Cage,"

"I think I'll have a talk with Professor Xavier's school. They seem to like anonymously save the world. So…" He trailed off at the news article located on his gauntlet. As he had suspected, a mysterious vigilante had started fighting crime in Queens, using...webs, as his mode of transportation. "Spider Man"

ONE HOUR LATER

Barry Allen sped through the streets of Queens, waiting for the right time to pay the good ol' Peter Parker a visit. He knew Peter wouldn't get home from school until…"Now!" Barry ran up the side of a large apartment, phasing through the wall, and into a small room, where a young teen roughly the same age as Barry was messing around with a few gadgets at the desk that lay in the corner of the room.

Seeing how Parker obviously hadn't noticed him yet, Barry waved his hand, repairing the 'Wed-3000' immediately. Peter threw it on the desk in shock, looking around the room before coming face to face with Barry. "Umm...who the heck are you? And what are you doing in my room?" Barry wore his 'stolen' Monitor chestplate and armor, confusing Peter even more.

"I have come to recruit you on a daring mission Mr. Parker," Barry said, reprising his best impression of Mar Novu. "The Megniverse, a collection of universes I have recently combined, is in extreme danger,"

"Wait, who are you? Why are you in my home? Why are you wearing that...that armor? And that's why this 'Justice League' and random cities and heroes are suddenly popping up out of nowhere?" Peter asked as he brought up a self-made map of the world. Red dots represented 'Marvel' cities and countries. Blue dots represented 'DC' cities and countries. And magenta represented a mix of both, with 'Marvel' cities and countries with 'DC' heroes and villains residing in them.

"My name is Blitzfrieden. I'm in your home to recruit you for a 'Grand Purpose'. This 'armor' helps me collect Positive Matter Energy, or PME for short. And yes, my combining Multiverse-1977, Multiverse-00001, Multiverse-01939, and Multiverse-111925 resulted in the Megniverse. A combination of those four Multiverses," Barry answered.

"Which...which are you from?" Peter asked.

"Multiverse-1977. I am a founding member of the Justice League," Barry said as he waved his hand, a futuristic tablet appearing in his hand.

"How did you do that?!" Peter asked.

"I have near unlimited abilities," Barry answered nonchalantly. "Turn your limited attention to this screen," Barry motioned to the tablet, which displayed a large white background, white small red dots scattered throughout the white abyss. In the far right was a dark grey cloud, which passed through the screen at alarming rates, consuming red dots by the milliseconds. "What you're seeing here has been dubbed the Catastrophe on Infinite Multiverses,"

"Evig, an extraterrestrial gas giant, who also is coincidently the doppelganger of the love of my life...is moving through the Megaverse, a collection of Multiverses, consuming Multiverses at the speed of light," Barry said. He zoomed out on the tablet, showing Peter the much larger Megniverse compared to regular Multiverses. He then zoomed all the way out, showing Peter that the Megaverse was already nearly halfway consumed.

"How are you going to stop that thing?" Peter asked. "I mean, this Megniverse you created has an outer shell capable of preventing breakage from the inside or out, but...what you're dealing with here is an anaconda squeeze,"

"We know this. That's why we have a plan. Three years ago, Hal Jordan fought against a cloud giant that was trying to consume the galaxy. He used a modified version of a Lantern Ring, or a ring that redirects pure energy, and defeated the cloud. We're using a ring formation of Dyson's spheres around the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies to disrupt the clouds. We will also have four armies worth of Lanterns set up around those galaxies, all using their rings, as well as Phantom rings to disrupt Evig's advancement,"

"So you're disrupting it with pure energy? You know, if this...Evig...cloud, is made of an atomic structure, you could use the Little Doctor," Peter said as he pulled a book labeled 'Ender's Game' out of his desk. "Ender Wiggin used a Molecular Disruption Device, which annihilated anything with an atomic structure within a cluster,"

"So, you want me to use a fictional device in order to stop the end of the Multiverse?" Barry asked with a grin. "Well, as it turns out...Ender Wiggin's multiverse is still standing, and has yet to be hit,"

"Wait, Ender Wiggin is real?" Peter asked.

"Every part of fiction is real," Barry said. "As in right now. You and I are actually a part of some type of fanfiction. This is merely a story. However, seeing as this story continues, so will we. That means, every book you have ever read. 'Ender's Game', 'Harry Potter', even 'Little Women' happened in one Multiverse or another,"

"That is...ok," Peter said as he clicked the web shooter on his wrist. Barry waved his hand over his other hand, watching as a small ship suddenly appeared in his hand. "T-That's the Little Doctor,"

"Yes it is. I just plucked this thing out of time, just before it blew up poor old Luisitania," Barry said before the device disappeared, replaced by a small round device with a spider label on the front. He tossed it to Peter, who caught it. "It's a suit. If you want to join us, wear it. If you want to stay a 'Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man...then still wear it,"

"T-Thank you," Peter said. Barry nodded, and disappeared without a trace.

X-MANSION; NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Barry Allen now stood in the middle of a large room, still wearing his Monitor armor as he was instantaneously surrounded by a large group of mutant heroes. "Charles Xavier, James Howlett, Robert Reynolds, Ororo T'Challa, Eugene Thompson, Piotr Rasputin, Wade Wilson, Jean Grey, Raven Darkholme, Scott Summers, and Hank McCoy,"

"Yeah, that's all of our names," Wade whispered to Colossus as he sucked on a round popsicle. Wolverine glared at him, and pushed Barry into the wall, his metal claws inches from Barry's face. "Who the hell are you, bub?"

"My name is Blitzfrieden. I am here because you are needed for a 'Grand Purpose'," Barry said.

"Why is it that I cannot read your mind? Are you a telepath?" Professor Xavier asked. "And what is this 'Great Purpose?"

"No. I am not a telepath. I am actually a nineteenth level intellect, considered one of the smartest beings in the Multiverse, besides the Overmonitor himself," Barry said. "The 'Great Purpose' is a matter of life and death for the entire Megaverse, or collection of Multiverses. An extraterrestrial being known as Evig, who I once fought in her physical form, is now a gaseous being slowly eating away at the Megaverse. She's consuming Multiverse after Multiverse, destroying everything in her path,"

"And what makes you think we'll do anything for you, bub?" Logan asked.

"Because of this," Barry snapped his fingers just as a monitor appeared on the wall, showing the same video that he had shown Peter. The group watched as the cloud consumed Multiverse after Multiverse until it reached the Megniverse. The cloud surrounded it, and crushed it into nothing. "That is what is going to happen if we do not stop this,"

"How will you stop it?" Scott asked.

"Like this," Barry waved his hand, watching as the video changed to show the two galaxies in which the Dyson's Spheres were set. The group now watched as Evig approached the galaxies. Beams of green, blue, white, purple, pink, and grey shot at the cloud in all directions, cutting into it. "We have Dyson's Spheres set up all around the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies, as well as people who have methods of expelling pure energy in beams. These two factors should be able to weaken Evig just enough for her to take her physical form,"

"So we can lick - I mean kick her ass?" asked Wade.

"No. To kill her. This type of evil cannot be allowed to remain in the physical world. So...she must die," Barry said. "After she's been converted to her physical form, I have an army of heroes set to whoop her armies asses,"

"So...a crisis?" Ororo asked.

"No. This event was dubbed the Catastrophe on Infinite Multiverses by the Overmonitor himself," answered Barry. "So...if you want to join us, say the word on January 22nd, 2013. If not, do not mention my name," He disappeared in a flash of blue light, leaving behind a confused group of heroes.

BAXTER BUILDING; NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Barry appeared in the middle of a large room full of monitors, computers, and a lot more cords. "Put your hands in the air! And don't move!" Barry turned around to find a man on fire from head to toe, reminding him of Firestorm 3.0 greatly. "I said put your hands in the fucking air!" The man yelled, his hand gripping a fireball that he threw inches from Barry's head. "That was a warning shot!"

"What's going on -" A man wearing a tan suit holding a briefcase, with black and grey hair entered the room with a blonde woman wearing a blue dress. "What's going on here Johnny?" The woman asked.

"Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and -" Barry snapped his fingers, watching as the large orange figure known as the Thing appeared next to Reed. "Ben Grimm. You are all needed for a 'Great Purpose',"

"What kind of purpose? Who are you? And how did you get in here?" Reed asked.

"The 'Grand Purpose' is this," Barry showed the Fantastic Four the same two videos he had shown the X-Men, before going into detail, using the same words he had used before. "An extraterrestrial being known as Evig, who I once fought in her physical form, is now a gaseous being slowly eating away at the Megaverse. She's consuming Multiverse after Multiverse, destroying everything in her path. We have Dyson's Spheres set up all around the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies, as well as people who have methods of expelling pure energy in beams. These two factors should be able to weaken Evig just enough for her to take her physical form. We need heroes. Heroes that can help us fight against her army in this catastrophe,"

"Damn...that's...a lot," Reed said as he scratched his neck. "Ok, so there's a life or death catastrophe. Who are you?"

"My name is Blitzfrieden," Barry said as he began to pace the room, examining the labs tech. "I left my card on the table, as well as a gift. Call me if you're in," With a flash of blue, Barry was gone.

"Is anyone else weirded out by this?" Johnny asked.

"What was his gift Sue?" Ben asked as Sue approached the nearest desk. Sue sighed as she picked up a small button. "It's a button. S-Should I press it?"

"Sure," Johnny stated as Reed and Ben merely shook their heads. Sue nodded, pressing the button before dropping it on the ground. Before anyone could react, a pulse of blue slowly moved through the room, converting all of their tech into state of the art technology. "Woah. Dude gave us an upgrade!" Johnny shouted as Reed and Ben started messing around with the state of the art computers. Sue grinned to herself. This is the beginning...of a new era for the Fantastic Four. Thank you Blitzfrieden.

HELL'S KITCHEN; HARLEM, NEW YORK

Barry Allen now stood in the middle of Hell's Kitchen, on top of a large building where Lucas Cage and Matthew Murdock stood, wearing their Luke Cage and Daredevil outfits. "Lucas Cage, Matt Murdock. You are needed for a 'Great Purpose'," The two turned to him immediately, Luke's fists ready to punch, while Daredevil readied his nunchucks.

"Great purpose?" Matt asked.

"A catastrophe. A Catastrophe on Infinite Multiverses," Barry tapped their foreheads, filling them in on everything that would happen. "I know you are busy at the moment. So...if you would like to join us, call out my name on January 22nd, 2013," The two nodded, and with a flash of blue...he was gone.

LIMA, OHIO

Barry appeared directly on Kara's couch, startling the girl immensely as he laughed to himself. The two had decided to marathon the Harry Potter movies, and had decided to watch the movies with popcorn, soda, and M&M's. "How is your day going?" Kara asked, snuggling into his side as she plucked a mouthful of popcorn into her mouth.

"Good, I got all of the recruits from the 'Marvelverse', though I still have one more to get from Earth-Two," Barry said as he grabbed a handful of popcorn. "I also found a new solution to the catastrophe. Peter Parker really is a smart kid,"

"How so?" asked Kara. Barry grinned, holding out a hand as the Little Doctor appeared in his palm. He held it up to her, and said. "This is the Little Doctor, a ship built by the IF, an organization from the so called 'Enderverse'. Or the universe in which the book Ender's Game took place. This ship can annihilate any molecular structure in a cluster,"

"That's brilliant!" Kara exclaimed. "So if we can freeze Evig to the point where her molecules are no longer excited or spread apart, we can fire this thing directly into her!"

"Exactly! But we would need something powerful enough to shrink something larger than the Megniverse itself…" Barry trailed off in extreme thought for a single second, before he grinned. He snapped his hands, now holding Leonard Snart's cold gun. "In the original timeline, Cisco Ramon built this gun in order to stop me in case I was evil. I was angry at first, but after I got over it, I studied the gun for a long time, gathering every detail I could," Barry said.

"I can replicate this gun to a much larger scale," Barry said as he waved his hand, a ship identical to the Little Doctor appearing in his other hand. "This ship is identical to the Little Doctor in every way, except for what it fires. I've engineered it to fire beams of -100000000* Fahrenheit. Cold enough to destroy an entire nebula. Billions of these things should do the trick,"

"So...what are you doing over the holidays?" Kara asked.

"I don't know, probably go to Central City to spend Christmas with the Wests," Barry said simply as he popped another mouthful of popcorn into his mouth. "Or were you intending for me to stay here for Christmas?"

"Well, Millie's gone had to go to Florida to help a friend, so she'll be gone till the first of the year," said Kara as she took a sip of her Cherry Coke. "I don't know, I just don't want to spend Christmas alone,"

"What about Clark? Or the glee girls? Or -"

"Barry," Kara interrupted. "First of all, Clark's spending Christmas with Lois and his son. And I don't want to spend christmas listening to drama about some guy they're going out with,"

"Yeah, true," Barry said.

"So. Barry Allen. Will you do me the honor of spending Christmas holidays here...with me?" Kara asked shyly as her cheeks suddenly turned a faint shade of pink. "I mean, not in like a 'Come live with me!' sort of way, but in like an...ultimate sleepover?"

Barry laughed, pulling her closer as he took a sip of his own coke. "Kara Danvers, Marley Rose, Kara Zor-El, I would love you- to spend time with...Christmas...with you," Barry moved away slightly, awkwardly drinking his soda.

"Barry…"

"I'm sorry, it was just a slip of the tongue, you know? Like when you say 'I love you' to your parents, and then you say 'I love you' to your friend right after, because it was still on your mind. Not it, but the phrase...you know I don't love you, it's just -"

"You don't?" Kara interrupted.

"Well. I…" Barry trailed off.

"Didn't you...rewrite time...for me?" Kara asked a bit awkwardly as she shuffled in her seat. "I mean. I don't want to be that girl, but…"

"Look, Kara…" Barry faced her. "I love you. Like...really love you. But…" The hope in Kara's eyes that had appeared immediately dropped from her facial expression. "What you did...as Marley...it hurt a lot…"

"I know, and I'm not that girl anymore, Barry," Kara defended. "I'm the Kara you met all those years ago,"

"Yeah, the Kara that was hung after James and Mon-El," Barry said sadly. "You don't remember loving me as Kara...she's dead,"

"Then let me remember," Kara pleaded. "Let me remember being the Kara you loved," Barry gave her a sad look, his hand fidgeting slightly as he sighed. "Barry...please,"

"No."

"What? W-Why not?"

"Because...I…" Barry abruptly stood up, followed by Kara, who quickly grabbed his hand. "It hurts to think about her. About you. Everytime I think about her...her eyes. Her hair. Her perfume...it all reminds me of the kryptonite bullet that drove itself into her brain…"

"I know that now, and I am so sorry that I stood you up for Jake, but please...show me," Kara held up his hand, placing his pointer-finger on her forehead. "Please," Barry sighed, a single tear running down the left side of his face as he sent every single memory of her from millions. When the brain-dump was complete, Kara slowly opened her tearful eyes, staring directly into his own teary eyes. "B-Barry,"

"Kara?" Kara nodded, rushing forward to connect their lips in a fiery kiss. Barry spun her around in joy, before laying her down on the ground, his lips finding the crook of her neck. Barry inwardly smiled. I've run home.
