A short while after the ambush, Harold and Orchid could see the first town up ahead.
"Well, I guess this is where you'll be getting off, huh?" The man sighed. Orchid didn't say a thing. "Hey, I didn't know you were a Warrior-Type?" He added, trying to change the subject.
"I've fought all my life, so I guess I just acquired it." Orchid guessed.
"Incredible. So you're both a Spellcaster and Warrior-Type. That's pretty handy, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to use the 'Legendary Sword'." Harold explained with a joyful tone.
"Hey… uh, thanks… for helping me out back there." Orchid struggled to say the words.
"I'm just glad you're alright, though I'm sure you would have been just fine." Harold looked over his shoulder and winked. Orchid quickly looked away.
"I am delighted to hear you say that to him, Orchid." Young spoke up, sounding pleased.
"Shut up. You wanted me to say that." Orchid thought back.
"I never told you to do anything."
"No, but I could feel you wanting me to say it." She thought bitterly as she heard Young chuckle to himself.
"You know, if you wanted protection against those people wanting to enslave you, you should try joining the Grand Knights, if not at least try getting on their good side." Harold spoke up.
"The Grand Knights?" Orchid asked.
"Yeah, they're this group of elite warriors who work directly for the King and Queen. If the situation calls for it, they can sometimes overrule orders that have been given out by the Royal Family directly. So far they are a team of six, and together they've taken down many Able Duelists and are said to be a good match against a Master Duelist." Harold was practically fanboying.
"You, uh… really seem to like them, huh?" Orchid asked bluntly.
"Well, I've tried joining them, but I'm just not cut out for it. Gilligan Grand, the leader of the Grand Knight, he's a great man, but only allows the best of the best to join him." The man explained sounding defeated. Orchid decided to not ask anything more.
"A group of warriors, yes? I would be interested to see them." Young confessed in a calm manner.
"Really?" Orchid questioned with a sigh.
"Of course. I myself am a Warrior-Type as well and I would like to see their abilities. I also believe that if you are able to join them, then you would find yourself in a position of greater power." Young disclosed.
"And what exactly is that supposed to mean?" Orchid asked in a bitter tone.
"Though it wasn't very apparent when it happened, when you were fighting those men, you stopped them from attacking Harold."
"It was my fight, so I didn't want him interfering."
"It went hand in hand. The point I wish to tell you is that I have noticed something about your abilities." Young almost sounded like he was teasing her with his knowledge.
"What abilities? Before you came along I only had one which allowed me to instantly destroy any Monster that is weaker than me when I battle it, and a Skill that grants me life force each turn." Orchid explained.
"True, however, the reason you have only had one ability is because you've only fought by yourself."
"Alright, spill it." Orchid became impatient with Young.
"For each ally you have, you gain another effect. In the case of your fight with Harold, your effect forced your enemies to only be able to attack you." Young revealed.
"Seriously?" Orchid asked aloud in a blunt fashion.
"You alright?" Harold asked.
"Nothing." She sighed. "Alright. If that's what I get with one ally, what of the others?" How many can I get?" Orchid asked the voice.
"If you pay attention, you will be able to discover what they are on your own." Young teased.
"I hate you." Orchid grumbled and Young gave a short laugh.
"We made it." Harold announced as they neared the town.
Once they made their way into the small town, Orchid hopped off and was ready to part ways.
"Are you sure you don't want me to take to just a few towns up?" Harold carried a sense of worry with him.
"It's fine. I appreciate your help, but I'll be fine on my own." Orchid said as she adjusted her bag on her back.
The warrior lowered his head with a sigh. "Alright. Just remember to be careful out there, oh and here's some gold. It should be enough to get you healed at one of the hospitals."
"Th… Thank you." She said as she started to walk away.
Harold watched was Orchid left when a familiar voice called to him.
"Harold! Is that you?" The man called out and Harold looked around, only to see the very man he admired above all others: Gilligan.
