Mama Yang Hero Academia-25
Shimura's breathing was heavy and labored. She wasn't exhausted by any means, no, the real reason why her breathing was so heavy, was because the reality of what she had just initiated, was starting to set in.
'Holy shit, I just told an eight year old to prepare for a life or death fight. An' I'm actually bringing her.' Shimura inwardly screamed in horror. 'What kind of hero am I to do something so stupid and crazy?'
"Shimura, are you all right?" Aqua asked, shaking the pro hero out of her thoughts as the group of six approached the meeting place where Toshinori and Gran Torino said for them to group up at.
"I'm fine. Just rethinking life choices." Shimura exclaimed, as they met up with Torino and Toshinori.
"Shimura, glad you could make it. I see you brought the help you told us about. But do you really think these kids have what it takes?" Torino questioned.
"I do." Shimura sighed. "But they won't be coming with us to 'his' floating island, just off the coast."
"What?" Redd questioned. "We came here to help you fight a villain."
"An' you will. Knowing our opponent, he's going to send his underlings to cause a panic in the city, and terrorize the citizens. Instilling fear into their hearts. You four will stay here, and try to make sure that doesn't happen." Shimura explained.
"Makes sense. We're here to provide support, and backup, as well as administer first aid to any civilians hurt." Aqua stated.
"Now get going and prepare you four." Shimura instructed, leaving Team GEAR to leave to their own devices.
"What about me?" Scythe questioned.
"You're not going anywhere but into a safety shelter." Torino exclaimed.
"Actually, she's coming with us. To the main fight." Shimura stated.
"Master, did you hit your head when you fought against Gigantomachia?" Toshinori questioned.
"Yes, but I'm not concussed if that's what you're thinking." Shimura sighed. "Show them Scythe."
Scythe smiled, before she was engulfed in a pillar of flames and replaced with an older version of herself, standing in her early to mid-twenties.
"Going for Second Gear?" Shimura asked, looking at her.
"No. Second Gear is when I enter my thirties. Any age I enter before that is still my First Gear Argonaut Form." Scythe explained.
"Wow." Torino exclaimed.
"So, her Quirk isn't just speed?" Toshinori inquired.
"It's best if you don't think about it right now." Shimura exclaimed. "C'mon we've got a fight to win."
"Is there a rowboat nearby?" Scythe questioned.
"There's one over by the docks why?" Torino inquired.
"I've got an idea on how to get there, that our enemy won't be expecting." Scythe smiled. "He'll be expecting us to come in from the air, due to how you all travel with your Quirks. But what do you think his reaction would be if we were to come in by water?"
"That's stupid, he's been around for nearly two centuries. He'd expect any kind of surprise attack." Torino exclaimed.
"Just get in the damned boat." Scythe exclaimed marching to the docks.
Torino, Shimura, and Toshinori, all followed Scythe to the nearby docks, and hopped in the rowboat, that were missing its ores.
"Uh, how are we supposed to get there when this damned thing is missing its ores?" Torino questioned.
"Leave that to me." Scythe smiled, hopping into the water in front of the boat, gripping the rope that was tied to the front end of it.
"We might want to hold on." Shimura stated, holding to the front of the boat as Scythe began pulling it at a slow pace that steadily picked up speed.
"What do you me-AAAAAHHHHHH." Toshinori shouted as the boat suddenly picked up speed, and turned into a racing boat, traveling faster than any rowboat could with or without an engine.
This sudden increase in speed caused Torino and Toshinori to be thrown back, and slam into the rear of the boat, while Shimura was clung tightly to the front of the boat, laughing with a bright smile.
"Water Goddess: Kraken Speed." Scythe smiled as she pulled the boat from underwater, the gills on her neck allowing her to breathe, jets of black water spewing from the souls of her feet.
"Scythe." Shimura shouted to the underwater girl. "We're approaching the island."
"Got it." Scythe replied, poking her head out of the water. "Hold on, and get ready to jump everyone."
"Jump?" Toshinori and Torino questioned at the same time.
"Ready." Shimura called to Scythe.
"3-2-1… Now." Scythe shouted, before diving down, to the sea floor as fast and hard as she could, causing the boat to become a makeshift catapult, launching all three heroes into the air, before Torino used his Quirk to grab onto Shimura and Toshinori, bringing them to the top of the moving island's wall.
"I can't believe that sneak in strategy worked." Torino exclaimed.
"Girl's got brains and brawn." Toshinori chuckled. "She'll make a fine hero someday."
"Why isn't she coming up anyway?" Torino questioned.
"Probably part of her strategy." Shimura exclaimed. "If she's doing what I think she's doing, than she's going to stay hidden before making herself known, and taking our enemy by surprise."
"Uh, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we've got company." Toshinori stated, pointing to further on the moving island.
The ground of the island began moving, and sprouting from it were large green vine like roots, breaking the ground apart, as the three heroes leapt from their spots avoiding one of the green roots, slamming down on where they once stood.
"Looks like he's aware of us being on the island." Shimura exclaimed.
"Got any plans for fighting him?" Torino questioned.
"Yeah, don't die." Shimura stated.
~Present Time: Hosu City~
"Alright, thanks for your help officer." Blake said waving bye to the officer as she walked away from the crime scene dressed in her hero attire. "Okay, so that was a bust. Stain isn't the type to just leave a body without also leaving behind some sort of message first. I should probably have a look around. Though the body of that hero was still fresh, so Stain couldn't be too far. I could try…"
Blake stopped as she sniffed the air, finding a distinct scent of metal, and blood, wafting from a few rooftops away on the other side of the street.
"He's still so close to the crime scene." Blake said, merging with the shadows and crossing the road, using the shadowy speed to climb up the wall.
When she was on the roof, she emerged from her shadow, in a kneeling position, and looked around, before she ran across the rooftops as silently as she could, following the scent, before it came to a stop on a roof by a water tower and a ventilation shaft.
"His scent ends here. Damn, I just hope he doesn't go and hurt anymore people before I can get to him." Blake said before her scroll went off, unaware of the figure emerging from the top of the water tower, glaring down at her with disdainful eyes. "Hey Yang… no I'm still in Hosu, unfortunately it looks like I'm not gonna be able to make it home tonight… What do you mean Scythe isn't home yet? Alright, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for her don't worry. How's Eri doing…? That's good to hear, last thing we need is for her to have another incident with her Quirk. It's good she's staying calm."
Before Blake could continue her conversation with Yang, her enhanced hearing picked up a whistling sound, and she moved her head to the side, and her arms in the opposite direction, dodging a blade that came flying at her from behind.
"Yang, I'm gonna have to call you back, I've found my prey." Blake stated before hanging up.
"Funny, that's what I was gonna say about you." Stain said, hopping down from the water tower. "You came here because of me. You wanted the fame that would come from taking me down, and bringing me in. You're no hero."
"You think that's why I came after you?" Blake asked putting her scroll away. "How egotistical can you be? Thinking you're that much of a bigshot that heroes only wanna take you down for the fame and glory. I'm hunting you, because I want to make the world a safer place for my daughters. I could care less about the fame and fortune those bring."
"Words are meaningless. If that's how you truly feel, then show me with your actions." Stain said, drawing his sword.
"Oh don't worry. I plan to prove it by taking you in." Blake said, pulling a weapon off her back, showing it was Gambol Shroud, with a yellow lightning bolt in the center of the blade, going along the width of the blade. 'Thank you Ruby for making me this new Gambol Shroud.'
Stain and Blake looked at each other, before a drop of rain fell from the sky, and landed on the roof's surface, between them. The moment that single drop hit the ground, Stain and Blake charged at each other, clashing swords.
Stain went for a diagonal downwards slash, as Blake blocked it with Gambol Shroud's blade, and twisted her arms to pin Stain's sword to the ground. Stepping on the blade, Blake performed a backflip, while simultaneously kicking Stain in the underside of his chin, causing him to let go of his blade, and stumble backwards a bit.
Stain regained his footing and grabbed two of the combat knives on his side, and held them with the blades facing the ground, as he went running at her. Blake bent backwards as Stain, sliced upwards, avoiding getting cut by the blade. She back flipped and landed on the edge of the building, before using shadow clones to leap through the air, and over Stain. Quickly, Blake spun around, and used Gambol Shroud's blade to block and deflect Stain's strikes.
Jumping and twisting through the air, Blake managed to get behind him once more, landing beside Stain's weapon, she used her foot to throw it into the air, before kicking the blunt and of the hilt, sending it flying towards Stain like a missile. Stain immediately dodged it by maneuvering to the side, but that was what Blake had been expecting to happen and was in his face instantly.
'Using my own sword against me was just a diversion. She's not aiming to kill, just immobilize.' Stain thought right before Blake rammed his face with the gun part of Gambol Shroud, knocking him away. 'She's good. She's lasted a lot longer than most of my other prey, and she's managed to avoid getting cut by me. I'm in a bit of a bind, so let's finish this. She must have gotten information on how my Quirk works from Ingenium. Guess that's the price for letting him live.'
Stain was back on his feet, and was instantly putting Blake on the defensive once more. Blake began backing up, blocking each and every strike Stain sent at her. Stain was starting to get smart, and maneuvering away from her, he managed to get behind her, slicing at her calf, and sending her to one knee. He grabbed her ponytail and forced her to expose her neck.
"Guess you were just spouting nonsense." Stain stated, aiming to strike her jugular. Bringing his blade down, Stain was stopped when Gambol Shroud's blade intercepted, locking into the serrated edge of the blade, and keeping him from moving it back.
"No, I'm not done." Blake exclaimed, pressing hard to keep Stain's blade away from her throat. "My family is waiting for me to come home. To tell my children, my parents, that the world will be a safer place."
Blake twisted Gambol Shroud, and elbowed Stain in the inside of his kidney, forcing Stain to let go of her, allowing the Faunus to roll away and stand up facing Stain once more. She held out her open hand, and caught the knife she sent into the air, by the handle, before grabbing her ponytail, and used the knife to cut it.
"I'm not gonna rest, until I get you behind bars, where you belong." Blake stated, throwing the knife back at him, imbedding it in his chest plate. "I won't let you take any more lives."
"Perhaps my judgement of you was a bit premature, Sombra." Stain chuckled, removing the knife from his chest plate, and putting both of his blades, back in their sheaths. "But that's yet to be fully seen." Stain said, reaching over his other shoulder, and pulling out a familiar blade that Blake froze upon seeing.
"Where did you get that katana?" Blake questioned, glaring at the red blade.
"A masked gentleman who shared my ideals, gave it to me not too long ago. Didn't think I'd have to use it so soon." Stain stated, noticing Blake was shaking a bit. "I take it you're familiar with the man who gave it to me?"
"That Blade… belongs to the man who has been hunting down my daughter, to turn her into a living weapon." Blake stated, her voice seething with anger. "He's a monster, worse than you… he doesn't share your ideals. He wants to enslave humanity under his feet, and rule over it, with an iron fist."
"I see." Stain said, looking at the blade in his hands. "Tell me, the anger you feel now. Is it blind rage of wanting revenge, or is it a mother's wrath, of wanting to protect her young?"
"What do you think?" Blake questioned, taking a fighting stance, with Gambol Shroud in the hanging right, pose. "I want to protect my children from that monster, and make sure they grow up knowing they're safe. That's all that matters to me."
"Good answer." Stain smirked sheathing the katana, and pulling the weapon off his back, tossing it at Blake's feet. "You are worthy of the title hero, so you get to live. But break your ideals, and I'll come hunting you and lay your innards for your family to see."
"What are you…?" Blake began to ask, but couldn't finish her question, as she was forced to shut her eyes. Stain had thrown a smoke bomb onto the ground, to cover his tracks. "Damn it he got away." Blake groaned as the smoke cleared. She looked down to the ground to see Stain had grabbed his original katana while she was distracted before making a run for it. "Ugh, what was in that smoke bomb? My nose is gonna be plugged for hours. I can't track him through his scent anymore. Might as well head to the police station and report in. Ugh, I just had to cut my hair with the knife he used to cut my leg." Blake exclaimed as she limped over to the edge of the building. "I'm really gonna be hearing it from mom and dad when I get home."
~The Past: Island Invasion~
"Damn it, if that kid's gonna make her move, she'd better make it soon." Torino stated dodging another attack from their enemy's long ranged attack.
"We just have to have faith in her, and hope she makes it in time." Shimura stated, slamming her fist into the attack to counter it, her fists covered in purple flames.
"Master what exactly is so special about that girl?" Toshinori questioned.
"She's more than meets the eye, that's all I'm going to say." Shimura exclaimed.
"Well whatever she is, she's making us wait an awfully long time." Torino exclaimed.
"Now who might this mysterious girl you're referring to be?"
Shimura, Toshinori, and Torino quickly turned around, to see the man they came to fight. Standing on the vine like root, above them. A smile on the lower half of his face, uncovered by shadows.
"All-for-One." Shimura hissed.
"Nana Shimura, seventh holder of the Quirk I created." All-for-One smirked. "Now, forgive my abrupt intervention into your conversation, but I'm assuming the young girl you're talking about is this one, am I right?"
All-fo-One raised his right arm, and out of the ground came a giant Red White Osiria, opening to reveal a battered and bruised Scythe, breathing heavily, held in the flowers center with her arms and legs stuck to the petals by the pollen inside, looking like she was barely breathing, and she was no longer in her Argonaut form.
"SCYTHE." Shimura shouted.
"Oh so you do know her." All-for-One exclaimed, using the plant Quirk to bring the flower closer to him. "She's quite the fighter. She even gave my men a run for their money, with how skilled she is in combat. But in the end she was no match for me. Yet it seems I'm unable to steal her Quirk from her. Either she's one of the few immune to my power, or there's something more to the story."
"You keep your filthy hands off of her." Torino shouted.
"Oh, now what exactly would cause you to think I would do something to this child?"
"You're a heartless, ruthless man, who only cares about gaining power. We know you're not above harming children for your own personal gain." Shimura stated, magenta flames starting to surround them. 'This is bad. I can't let him end her.'
"Shimura." Torino began. "We need a plan. What do we do?"
"Master, please what is our course of action?" Toshinori questioned.
Shimura closed her eyes, and let out a deep breath, she could feel the blood on her face from getting hit with multiple attacks, had dried, and her injuries weren't severe so there was still something she could do. Reaching behind her hair band, Shimura pulled out the same hair clip Scythe was wearing, and turned to Toshinori, and put it in his hand.
"Keep this safe, and return it to me when we meet again." Shimura said before turning back to glare at All-for-One with a determined look on her face, before she enacted her plan.
Pressing her hand against Toshinori's chest, she pushed him away. Torino took this as a signal, and knew what Shimura wanted.
"Master?" Toshinori shouted as Torino grabbed him, and began flying away.
"I'm leaving the rest to you. Sorahiko, make sure his dream comes true." Shimura stated.
"Master. Master!" Toshinori shouted, as Torino flew away, with a pained look on his face.
Without turning her head, Shimura raised her hand, and pointed to Toshinori. At this point Scythe had regained consciousness, and could see the events unfolding through her half lidded eyes.
"All Might." Shimura stated, clenching her fist and turning her head slightly to look at him. "I'm counting on you."
"MASTER." Toshinori shouted.
Shimura turned back to face All-for-One, and Scythe, a determined and rage filled look on her face.
"Thank you for such wonderful comedy." All-for-One exclaimed, raising his hand, as it began to spark with black and red energy.
Scythe's eyes glared towards All-for-One, as she struggled against her bindings and lit her body on fire, burning away the pollen and petals she was trapped against, before breaking free of them.
"SHIUMRA." Scythe shouted spreading her wings and flying straight for Shimura, her body fuelled with adrenaline, as she pushed herself past her limits.
The instant All-for-One released the attack, Scythe grabbed a hold of Shimura, and wrapped her wings around them both. Just as the bright energy of the attack's explosion echoed around them.
All-for-One laughed thinking that he had just put an end to the seventh holder of One-for-All, before noticing something as the dust cleared. In the middle of the blast zone, there was a rather large and strange looking stone egg, covered in a scale patterned design.
"Now this is intriguing." All-for-One said, lowering his pedestal to where he was right in front of the egg. "Where could this have come from?" As All-for-One examined the stone egg, he noticed that it shook, and began to move. "Hmm?"
Before All-for-One could look further into the phenomenon, he found himself flying through the air, after being struck by something in the face. Using the flower, All-for-One cushioned his landing and rubbed his chin, feeling the pain coursing through his jaw, and looked down at where the stone egg had been sitting, finding a surprising sight. Standing there, was Shimura, with Scythe crouched down, leaning to one side in front of her back in the teen stages of her Argonaut Form. Scythe's scales were not their normal scarlet red, they were instead an orangey red. Both their eyes were set on All-for-One, and neither of them, looked like they were going to show mercy.
(Cue Music… I burn {E}: RWBY)
"You ready Scythe?" Shimura questioned.
"As I'll ever be." Scythe smirked, her scales taking on a magenta tint to the orange. "Thanks for the flames."
Without saying another word, Scythe went running at All-for-One, leaving a trail of black flames with magenta tips in her wake.
All-for-One was barely able to dodge as Scythe axe kicked the flower she had one been trapped in. He rolled out of the way, mere milliseconds before the attack hit, and was blown off with the blast of the flames that caused the flower to burn to ashes.
The instant he was on the ground, he was met face to face with Shimura, as she had been ready to strike, slamming her fist into his gut, sending him into one of the vine like attacks he had used against the group that had infiltrated his island.
"You're both really starting to get on my nerves." All-for-One stated, picking himself up.
"We tend to have that effect on people." Scythe said, coming down from above with another axe kick.
All-for-One smiled, as he raised his hand, and caught her foot, and held it in place, slamming his other fist into her stomach, imbedding her into the ground, causing her to cough up a small amount of blood, before swinging her around and sending her flying towards Shimura.
"I'll admit, I did have a bit of trouble with the both of you, but that was only because I needed to recover the energy expended during that large scale attack you both somehow survived." All-for-One exclaimed.
"I thought it was too easy that we were able to get those attacks in." Shimura said helping Scythe up.
"Hehe." Scythe smirked. "You know this is actually kinda perfect. I've been itching for a fight that could challenge me since the sports festival. I'll take care of this Shimura."
Scythe and All-for-One starred each other down as they began to circle each other, the flames around them lapped at their skin, All-for-One's skin healing rapidly without leaving a scar, while Scythe wasn't affected by it at all. All it took was a split second for the two to charge at each other and clash, a minor but visible shockwave rippling out from the hero and villain, the ground cracking from the strength of their exchange. But that wasn't what concerned All-for-One at the moment. The fact that Scythe's strength was practically on par with that of a wielder of One-for-All's, is what held his complete attention. In fact, the girl seemed to glow with power, as if coming into contact with All-for-One's hands was somehow empowering her. Another shocking development was the difference in appearance, her hair was starting to change color, and her emerald green eyes, burning a bright blood red.
All-for-One then tried to grab onto Scythe and put her in a lock, as doing so would play to one of his Quirk's advantages, but the armor wearing girl proved to be much more evasive than at first glance, dodging all of All-for-One's attempts masterfully.
On his final attempt, All-for-One overextended himself, casting his arm far above Scythe's head. Scythe, seeing yet another opening, ducked under All-for-One's failed attempt and gave a double palm strike to his chest, sending the man back several feet as he skidded to a halt, before Scythe was on him again and grabbed his arm, before locking him into a triangle hold, forcing him to bend forward.
"NOW." Scythe shouted.
The second Scythe let go of the choke hold, All-for-One looked up only to shut his eyes in pain as Shimura had punched him in the face, sending him flying back into the a stone wall that was propped up when the rose broke through the cement. Scythe grunted in pain as he had managed to use a Quirk to sharpen his claws, and scratch Scythe over her right eye.
"You seem very different than when you attacked me earlier." All-for-One exclaimed, glaring at Scythe.
"Well I was a little low on fuel, so I needed a recharge, which is what Shimura provided for me quite well." Scythe exclaimed. "Gotta say though, I'm quite liking the magenta tint to my flames."
"Interesting, you can eat flames so long as they come from an outside source. Which means you were born with multiple Quirks. No wonder I can't steal her Quirk." All-for-One stated, before Scythe jumped and landed in front of him, forcing All-for-One into a battle of hand to hand combat.
He opened with a straight jab, which Scythe managed to parry with one of her own strikes, then a roundhouse kick that Scythe jumped over. While still in the air, Scythe grabbed onto All-for-One's leg, and began to move her hands to allow her to spin like a top, kicking All-for-One in the face, and knocking him back, before flipping midair.
As Scythe landed back onto the ground, All-for-One had rolled backwards and stood up, his hands in front of him as he prepared for Scythe's next move. She then rushed the shadowed criminal and unleashed a flurry of punches at him, all of which the crook dodged just as masterfully as Scythe had dodged most of his attacks.
'Not much time left. I can feel the time travel spell is dissipating rapidly. Gotta make a big enough attack where I can Grab Shimura just as the spell dissipates.' Scythe thought. In that moment, she could practically feel the lightbulb going off in her head, before she held her hands in a chopping motion, and ignited them in flames, before she used them to slice down in an X formation on All-for-One's chest, jumped back, and took a deep breath in.
"Etherion Goddess…" Scythe chanted letting the magic build up. "ROAR." She shouted letting the torrent of energy lose, adding the kinetic energy she had built up to it, to add to the roar's power.
All-for-One's eyes widened in shock, as the roar came to him. Acting on his feet, All-for-One enveloped himself in a dome of rocky earth, large enough to be considered a fully loaded van, letting the roar overpass him while retaining minimum damage.
(End Song…)
After the roar had ended Scythe ran to Shimura and grabbed her in a hug, forcing the spell to dissipate into the air fully, and allowing her to be taken back to her own time.
~With Team GEAR~
"Is there anymore coming Ebony, Aqua?" Gin called out.
"No, doesn't look like it." Ebony called back.
"I can't sense anymore hostiles." Aqua replied.
"Redd, how are the injured, and how many?" Gin questioned.
"Hardly any, and those that are, only suffered from some scrapes and bruises. Nothing some Vaseline and pain killers can't fix." Redd stated.
"Good, now let's get going and help elsewhere." Gin stated.
"Uh… Gin, I think it's time to go." Redd exclaimed.
Gin looked down to see his body surrounded by light. He looked around to see his Teammates were covered in the same light, glowing around them.
"I think Scythe's time traveling effects might be wearing off." Aqua stated.
"Feels kinda tingly." Ebony stated.
"Well Team GEAR, our visit was brief, but I won't deny, being here has filled me with so much fun." Gin stated. "Now it's back to our normal lives on Remnant."
"Ae we supposed to keep quiet about this world?" Redd questioned as they gathered together.
"Who would believe us if we told anyone we went to an alternate dimension that is the basis of a popular Manga and Anime?" Aqua asked.
"Good point, they'd just send us to the loony been." Ebony stated.
"Team GEAR." Gin said, as the light around them grew brighter. "Let's hope we left a lasting impression."
With that Team GEAR returned to Remnant, without a trace, leaving those to witness their departure baffled at what had happened, questioning their sanity, eyesight, the contents of the air, or asked all three questions.
~Present Time: A few minutes before Scythe's return~
"Hold still Blake." Kali complained as Blake was fidgeting in her seat. "This is what you get for using a serrated knife to cut your hair with."
"C'mon mom, I'm not a kid anymore. I'll be eighteen in like four days." Blake exclaimed, as Kali was properly fixing her hair.
"How's your leg doing sweetie?" Ghira asked, looking up from the kitchen table.
"It's fine, thankfully my Aura already healed it." Blake stated.
"That may be so, but that doesn't change the fact the wound was pretty deep, it's still gonna leave quite the nasty looking scar." Kali said, combing Blake's hair. "I'm honestly surprised he let you live though."
"Guess I meet his expectations in what a hero should be." Blake sighed. "Though that doesn't change the fact Adam made contact with him."
"No, it doesn't." Ghira sighed. "Stain is already dangerous enough as it is. We don't need him forming alliances with other sociopaths like Adam, or Shigaraki."
"Agreed." Kali sighed.
"I'm home." Yang's voice rang out as the sound of the front door opening and closing, came echoing through the house.
"In the dining room." Kali called out.
"Welcome back mom. How was your day?" Eri called out running to her.
"It was okay munchkin. Any word from your sister?" Yang asked, picking Eri up and walking into the dining room.
"No." Eri said.
"Blake, what happened to your hair?" Yang asked.
"I could ask the same of you." Blake said, getting a good look at Yang. "I thought you loved your hair."
"I do, but I thought I could use a different hair style, it was getting too out of control to maintain anyway, and our water bill was getting stupidly high with how much water is used in bathing and showering alone. So I went to that hair stylist Ruby went to and got this new look." Yang smiled.
Yang's hair had been cut, extremely short. Her hair barely even went past the base of her skull, while the only thing to indicate that her hair had been long in the first place, were the two bangs hanging from the sides of her head, reaching all the way down to the sides of her chest, with sapphires stone hair ties at the ends of them.
"So, what happened to you?" Yang asked. "You practically look like your mom with that haircut, all you're missing are the golden piercings."
"Mama ran into the Hero Killer." Eri stated.
"What?" Yang asked, looking to Eri, then back to Yang.
"It's no big deal Yang. I had used one of his knives to cut my hair so he couldn't use it to pull on me again." Blake stated.
"Blake, running into him is a big deal. What if you had… you know… kicked the bucket?" Yang questioned.
"He let me live Yang. He saw his ideals of a true hero in me, so he left without inflicting anymore harm on me, than he already had." Blake exclaimed.
"Well, if he let you live because of that, then I guess we don't need to worry about him following you home." Yang sighed putting Eri down. "Still I think it best if we move somewhere else. I mean, we've been looking since the Hassaikai incident."
"True." Blake sighed. "There's one more thing you should know." Blake said as Kali finished. "Adam had made contact with Stain, and gave him Wilt and Blush."
"Of course he did." Yang groaned, before a bright flash of light drew all their attention to the basement, and a large thud was heard.
"What was that?" Ghira asked.
"Is dad here yet?" Yang asked.
"Upstairs in the study, looking over my report." Blake stated.
"Kali, go get him, please." Yang stated.
"You got it." Kali said, before leaving for the study with Eri following behind closely.
Yang, Blake, and Ghira went through the basement door, and steadily walked down the steps, careful not to alert the potential enemy of their presence, as they rounded the corner at the bottom of the steps.
"Scythe? You down here sweetie?" Yang questioned.
"Yeah." Scythe responded, sounding exhausted.
The trio let their guard down and relaxed their shoulders, before turning fully to where her voice resonated from.
"Where have you been all day sweetie? We were starting to think…" Yang stopped her explanation, when she spotted Scythe, lying atop Shimura, as they both groaned, picking themselves up. "Scythe." Yang said, a bit skeptically, and worriedly. "Who is this?"
"Ugh, nice to meet you. My name's Nana Shimura… I'm from the past." Shimura stated.
"Mom, his is Grandpa Toshi's predecessor." Scythe groaned, leaning back into Shimura.
"Scythe you're hurt." Blake said in a bit of a panic, seeing the gash over Scythe's right eye.
"Be lucky she's still alive." Shimura sighed, as they came to help Scythe and Shimura off the ground. "Not many can say, they've fought against All-for-One and lived to tell about it. Her First Gear Argonaut form is incredible. Hey, looks like you might be back to your normal colors, and pigments."
"Yang, I am here. What's wrong?" All Might questioned, sliding into the basement space, before he froze upon the sight he saw.
"Well… you grew up looking like quite the fine man Toshinori." Shimura chuckled, seeing him looking at her. "What, nothing to say to your predecessor?"
"M-Master but… how can this be I…" All Might began, finding he was at a loss for words, as he deflated from his All Might form.
"Oh, Grandpa Toshi." Scythe smiled, gaining his attention. "I never thanked you properly, for letting me use your tools and workbench to fix the core programing of my medical gear."
"Wait… what is going on?" Toshinori questioned.
"It's a bit of a long story. One we'll be glad to tell, while we treat Scythe's wounds." Shimura explained.
"You have wounds that need treating as well. C'mon, I'd be honored and more than happy to treat my daughter's honorary grandmother-in-law's wounds." Ghira exclaimed.
"Why such a gentleman aren't you?" Shimura chuckled.
"So my wife tells me. Please, come." Ghira stated, as they all exited the basement.
"I like your new hairstyle Mom." Scythe exclaimed. "You to Mama."
"Explanation first, compliments and sucking up to us later." Yang said sternly.
"Yes Ma'am." Scythe sighed.
After settling into the living room, with Toshinori grabbing the first aid kit, Scythe began explaining what she had done, and what her plan had actually been. Then she told them everything that had happened since activating the time travel spell, and how it had changed her looks, which she theorized was an unintentional timer for however long she had in the past for the specific event she had planned on going to. Thankfully, all her stuff that she had left behind at Shimura's house, was brought back to present time as well, since they had been connected to her through the spell.
"So, you've been concocting this plan, for six months?" Toshinori questioned, Eri sitting in his lap.
"Since you told me about her and the fight she never came back from, yeah." Scythe stated, wincing as Yang tapped the gash over her right eye with a swap of cotton soaked in disinfectant.
"Sweetheart, why didn't you just come to us? We could have helped you with it." Blake said, taking care of some minor injuries on the exposed parts of her arms.
"Because you'd have both tried telling me it was just the naive thoughts of a child wanting to make the impossible, possible." Scythe exclaimed, as Yang cleaned off the dried blood, with a wet hot rag.
Blake and Yang looked to her then at each other, before realizing she was right. If they hadn't seen Shimura in person, and Scythe came to them with this, then they would have just called her idea nothing but a dream.
"So what actually happened after Gran-Torino took me away from that fight?" Toshinori inquired.
"We kicked ass." Scythe stated, before receiving a Gibbs Slap from both Yang and Blake for cursing.
"Language young lady." They said together in perfect unison.
"Sorry." Scythe said sheepishly.
"What she means is, we managed to keep off All-for-One for a considerable amount of time, and Scythe managed to inflict some major damage to him as well." Shimura stated as Ghira and Kali treated her wounds. "She pulled some impressive moves that would have made Torino proud. That triangle hold was really something."
"Though that's when he managed to gash my eye." Scythe exclaimed.
"Well, it doesn't look like the eye itself was touched, the gash just leads to the top and bottom parts of the socket." Blake exclaimed. "Even if Recovery Girl were to help with healing it, there still would be a considerably nasty looking scar remaining."
"I'm fine with that." Scythe exclaimed. "Scars are just proof you survived, and have grown stronger."
"So, what happened to Team GEAR?" Toshinori questioned.
"Most likely, they were sent back to Remnant, the instant I fully negated the time travel spell." Scythe exclaimed. "I'm still not sure how that had happened though."
"Alright, since you've technically been dead for quite some time, you no longer have a place to stay, and you're completely broke." Yang said, turning to Shimura after putting the gauze patch over Scythe's eye. "So, you're free to stay here, until you can renew your hero license and get your own place."
"I appreciate your help, thank you." Shimura smiled.
"So, what are we doing at U.A tomorrow?" Scythe asked.
"You aren't going to U.A tomorrow. You're taking advantage of the free day of rest and recuperation you were given. Do anything besides enjoy your free day, and you're grounded." Yang exclaimed. "I am going to U.A to hold a special training session combined with the Hero Course Classes 1-A 1-B."
"Aw, that's no fair." Scythe pouted.
"Trust me, it's better that you don't go tomorrow. Monoma is gonna be there." Toshinori exclaimed, causing Scythe to freeze up hearing that name.
"I'll just stay here." Scythe exclaimed.
"What's wrong with her?" Shimura asked. "I haven't seen her like this since she spoke about that Adam fellow."
"Monoma used her as a living punching bag after receiving some distressing news. So unless she's in a life or death situation, she's traumatically terrified of him." Kali exclaimed.
"Hey mom. Remember what Scythe did?" Blake inquired.
"Oh right, I almost forgot about that." Kali stated. "During the situation that Monoma had switched from wanting to be a hero to working as a guard for a villain's lair, Scythe might have torn Monoma's genitalia off, by stomping on them, while throwing him through the air at the same time. So now Monoma is just a flat chested girl."
"Seriously?" Shimura asked with a laugh. "That's hilarious."
"We even got some friends and family back. Speaking of, where's Aunt Nora and Aunt Velvet?" Scythe inquired.
"Nora's working overtime, and Velvet is out watching a new movie that came out with Jack. Ruby is working in the lab at Huntress Agency, on some last minute details for Penny's new body, and Pyrrha's at the gym. Though they should be returning pretty soon." Yang explained.
"So it's just us here right now." Blake added.
"C'mon. I think it's time for bed everyone, it is getting pretty late." Ghira stated.
"Yeah, and we've got a busy day tomorrow." Yang stated. "I'll show you to your room Shimura. You can take a bath in the morning."
"Thanks." Shimura said, getting up.
"Now we're definitely gonna need to move into a bigger house." Blake exclaimed.
"Agreed." Kali stated, taking Eri from Toshinori.
~U.A Training City Alpha: Early Next Morning~
"Ugh, why are we here on our last day off?" Jiro questioned before she yawned. "An' so early in the morning no less."
"I don't know, but at least we're able to wear our hero costumes." Toru yawned.
"Did you take Ruby's suggestion from after the Sports Festival, to send in a sample of your hair so the support company can make an invisible costume for you so you're not naked all the time?" Uraraka questioned.
"I sent one in yesterday." Toru exclaimed.
"Good morning class." Yang addressed as the three girls had joined up with the rest of their class and their sister class.
"Whoa, Yang nice new hair style." Momo complimented. "It suits you perfectly."
"You should see Blake's, she got it after a run in with a villain in Hosu." Yang exclaimed.
"You mean the Hero Killer Stain?" Iida asked.
"Wait seriously?" Kirishima questioned.
"Is she okay?" Tsu inquired.
"Alright everyone calm down, Blake is fine, nothing more than a gash on her leg." Yang exclaimed, calming the storm of murmuring that came from the two classes gathered. "She's actually at the police station giving her report right now. But yes she did have a run in with the Hero Killer. But we're not here for that this morning."
"May I?" Ghira asked her.
"Be my guest." Yang smiled.
"Alright. Now today, even though you have the day off, we're going to be holding a special training session in this fake city. Try keeping property damage to a minimum, but if it's unavoidable, don't worry about it." Ghira said. "But today, the teachers won't be intervening at all. In fact, we're technically not even here."
"Question, what's the exercise then?" Iida questioned.
"Are any of you familiar with a movie series, mainly known as Predator?" Yang inquired.
"Yeah, those are awesome. The vintage 1987 movies effects are so cool it's unbelievable." Kirishima stated.
"I agree, though it was a bit freaky." Kendo stated while Tetsutetsu was nodding his head furiously with the biggest grin you'd ever seen on his face.
"Well today, all of you are the alien hunters, while your target is…" Ghira paused for effect as Midnight, brought a cuffed and collared Monoma to the front gates, out of the cart that had driven there with the buses. "Neito Monoma here."
"You're objective is simple." Yang smirked, as Monoma glared at her. "But before I get to that, how many of you are pissed at him for dragging U.A's name through the mud?"
Everyone in the group raised their hands.
"Now this is only a question for my class." Yang stated. "How many of you are pissed at him for beating Scythe an inch within her life?"
Nobody lowered their hands.
"Wow, even your former classmates hate your guts for that one." Yang chuckled looking at Monoma.
"Where is Scythe anyways? I owe her a beating for what she did to me at the warehouse." Monoma questioned.
"Ha, even if she were here, you wouldn't be able to do jack-shit to her." Yang laughed. "That collar around your neck? It suppresses your Quirk, effectively making you Quirkless, so you have zero chance of escaping by using someone else's Quirk. It's mainly Eraserhead's Quirk made mobile. An' don't even think that you can take it off, the alloy is made of a carbon based titanium that not even my dad can break with brute force. Courtesy of Melissa Shield."
"You really have thought of everything." Monoma glared.
"Now, back to explaining what today's objective is." Ghira exclaimed.
"It really is simple." Yang stated. "Monoma here is going to be used as a punching bag for all of you. We're going to give him a ten minute head start into the fake city, and that's being generous. Your objective is to hunt him down in teams of two, and rough him up however way you'd like. Anything goes, just don't kill him."
"So I can blow him up as much as I'd like?" Bakugo questioned.
"Yes, you can bomb boy." Yang smiled.
"Perfect." Bakugo stated, a sadistic grin on his face. "I've been wanting to beat the living shit out of him since the day he destroyed his chances of being a hero."
Monoma was starting to look scarred, and for good reason to. All 41 students were looking at him, with the intent to do a significant amount of bodily harm.
"Now the teams are as follows." Ghira said.
"Pyrrha and Kirishima. Mineta and Shoda. Uraraka and Tsunotori. Yaoyorozu and Kodai. Iida and Shishida. Kaminari and Bondo…"
"Um pardon muah." Aoyama exclaimed. "But my belt isn't fully repaired yet, and I can't control my Quirk all that well without it. I don't wanna end up accidentally hurting my classmates."
"Alright, this exercise is optional, so refusing to join won't affect your grade in any way." Yang stated. "Aoyama is out, you can go home if you want. Which thankfully works out in our favor since we have an odd number of students."
"Once the exercise starts I'll take you to the gates in the cart." Midnight exclaimed.
"Back to teams. Ruby and Kendo. Awase and Tokoyami. Koda and Shiozaki. Hagakure and Fukidashi. Tetsutetsu and Ashido. Shoji and Kaibara. Weiss and Tokage. Ojiro and Kuroiro. Komori and Sato. Yanagi and Jiro. Kamakiri and Sero. Honenuki and Todoroki. Tsu and Rin. An' finally Bakugo and Tsuburaba." Yang finished calling out the teams. "Midnight, you can let Monoma loose of the cuffs, and have him run wild in the fake city."
"Already on it." Midnight smiled undoing the cuffs while Ghira held Monoma in place so he would not try running until he was let loose in the city.
"As you all may have realized, I paired you all up at random each with someone from the opposite class. This being the case, it's another exercise to help you learn to work with one another and to cooperate with those who's Quirks you might not know about, like in real life." Yang explained. "Fail to cooperate with your partner, and you both get failing grades."
"I thought you said participating was optional and wouldn't affect our grade?" Uraraka asked.
"That part is, but if you are participating, then your grade is at risk of being affected should you choose not to work with your partner." Yang stated.
"So our grades are only effected if we fail to participate correctly, I see." Iida stated.
"Iida, after the exercise is over, I'd like to talk with you for a moment." Yang stated.
"Yes Ma'am." Iida said standing at attention.
"Alright you know your objective, and you have all day to get it done." Ghira said as he released Monoma into the city.
"Now get ready for a good game boys and girls." Yang smiled. "This is gonna be a hunt you never forget."
