Episode 19: Eggman VS Wily (Games Only)
Last Time
Suddenly, they all heard a small motor running. Turning their heads, they see a familiar red android in an apron with his arm attached to a vacuum cleaner. Finishing up cleaning the doorway, Red Tornado turned to the group and to the stray crumbs and popcorn all over the floor. "Ah, so all of you are the reason for the recent increase in my janitorial schedule."
Conner raised a brow. "Tornado?"
The Crimson man nodded. "Salutations"
"What are you doing here?" Artemis questioned.
The Android walked to them in the living area. "If you recall, I volunteered as the caretaker for all of you and this mountain."
"You really didn't need to go to this extent, Red," replied Dinah.
The android shook his head. "No, I did not. However, I find pleasure in performing menial tasks outside of missions. Additionally, this place would become a pigsty without my assistance lest we forget Chili Con Carne Night and the Christmas party."
Wally slouched in his seat. "I was wondering who fixed the toilet, but I didn't want to ask."
"I'm willing to admit it. I overdid it with the seasonings," sweatdropped Megan.
Tornado nodded. "An example of why I am needed for maintenance and janitorial duties." Looking at the TV, he tilted his head. "I'm not familiar with this program. Is it new?"
"You could say that. Actually, if you are done cleaning, would you like to join us? It might interest you."
"How so?" The group gave him a quick rundown on the premise of the show and who the upcoming combatants were. Since Red Tornado would be in the Mountain almost all the time, they told him the origin of the discs. It piqued the android's interest. "I have no immediate responsibilities, so I have time to socialize." Accepting the invitation, the android took a seat on the couch next to Clark. A compartment opened from his side, and he took out a can of Pennzoil before taking a sip.
With everyone ready and the snacks replaced, Wally pressed play for the next episode and surprisingly there was no advertisement as it shows the Screwattack logo appearing and the episode starts playing.

"As brilliant some scientists maybe, not all of them are sane."
Robin scoffed with a laugh. "Considering our track record, they aren't wrong." The room thought about T.O Morrow, Ivo, the Brain, and Doctor Desmond.
Kaldur nodded. "We have certainly met some eccentric people."
"It's unfortunate they don't utilize their potential for the common good," commented Diana.
"These two crazies take it way too far!"
"Dr. Ivo Robotnik is the Eggman."
"And Dr. Albert Wily is Einstein without rogaine."
"In this battle, these two geniuses will be pitting their mechanized armies against each other to prove who is the deadliest robot master."
"This is certainly new," added Dinah.
Tornado nodded. "I agree. I have not heard of these individuals, but it will be an experience to know their field, morality notwithstanding."
Most of the room flashed backed to memories of fighting a variety of robotic minions and villains. Clark shook his head at the thought of Metallo.
"He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick."
"And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle."
Wally readied a notepad, hoping to improve his turtle prototypes. It's both good and bad that he hadn't been able to use them in a while.
The first combatant is a strangely obese man with an egg-shaped body with long limbs. He was wearing a red coat, black pants, white gloves, goggles on his head and he has a large mustache.

Several people raised brows at his IQ and his large frame.
Megan and Zatanna giggled. "I can see why they call him Eggman."
"His given name of Robotnik is telling as well," added Dinah.
"He's certainly spent too long at the dinner table," snarked Artemis.
"Dr. Eggman is an infamous robotic mastermind. He's been terrorizing his world for years in his quest to rule an empire."
Wally rolled his eyes and muttered. "Nothing we're not used to by now."
"Tornado, did Morrow ever tell you why he wanted to destroy the Justice Society?" asked Diana.
The android shook his head. "Unfortunately, I do not. From what I could gather from my siblings Red Torpedo and Firebrand, he seemed to have an obsession with the future. Building an android during the forties is an accomplishment of itself. How that pertains to the JSA is still unclear."
"It's a coincidence that name spells out tomorrow," added Conner.
Tornado shrugged. "Mabe not as much as we may believe."
"Using his engineering skills, he's built an army using the strangest fuel source, kidnapped animals."
"... What!" Several people gape as they see a miserable animal trapped inside of Eggman's robots. Seeing animals hooked to machines brought up disturbing memories of The Brain's experiments.
Tornado tilted his head at the power source. Some thoughts lingered on his "father" and his willingness to make a similar attempt.
Clark and Conner gagged. He would main anyone who dared to hurt Wolf. "How does that even work?".
Oliver made a face. "Does it work like a hamster running on a wheel inside?"
"They probably feed off their life force," stated Bruce. He's met enough monks and mystics to not rule out the possibility.
Red Tornado continued. "The means behind it sounds very unnecessarily cruel."
"Hello, villain," gestured Oliver.
Dinah rolled her eyes. "Thank you for the diagnosis, 'Doctor' Arrow."
Bruce held a stern expression while also thinking of a certain hound sleeping in the Batcave. "Animal cruelty is a sign of psychopathy."
"Someone call PETA on this son of a bitch."
Diana glared at the screen "Lifeforce is a very potent energy. It's why a sacrifice was used for numerous dark rituals in the past. To use such innocent creatures for his selfish conquest is monstrous."
"That man should pay for his crimes against such cuddly creatures," cried Zatanna. While everyone agreed, it didn't help that she was smothering Robin once more.
"I'm not cuddly," muttered the blushing boy wonder.
The tv duo started going over Eggman's creations.

"I'm seeing an insect theme," remarked Tornado. He never had a chance to ask Morrow why he kept using a Red naming scheme and elemental abilities.
Zatanna cringed a bit. "I know. Even if they're robots, those bugs give me the chills." Conner coughed into his hand jerked his head toward his girlfriend. Her eyes widening in shock and embarrassment, she quickly corrected herself. "Oh. But looks good on you, Megan." It didn't help much.
Megan awkwardly laughed it off before turning back to the TV.
The room then sees a montage of Sonic easily destroying them.
"They certainly are the grunts," laughed Oliver.
A small smile crept on Wally's lips, seeing the blue speedster again. 'I'm still working on that figure-eight technique.'
"Still, their sheer numbers would easily overwhelm normal opponents. Not everyone can fly through the air like a saw," added Kaldur.

Everyone was shocked at the massive group of warships, including the Egg Carrier and its massive laser cannon.
"Reminds me of the simulation," cringed Robin. The others followed suit. They remembered the assortment of ships that shot laser canons at their loved ones and civilians.
"That mission was always planned to fail, but it still leaves a heavy mark." Kaldur sighed.
Wally clicked his tongue. "Yeah. Not our best moment."
Seeing this, Dinah spoke. "From the size of that fleet, do you think he's compensating?" It brought up a few laughs and broke the teen tension. The other adults gave her silent thanks.
Clark raised a brow. "It's hard to believe that he's trying to associate himself with eggs and animals."
Diana shrugged. "Even the gods have strange associations."
The Dark Knight silently made contingency plans should Lex Luthor attempt something similar.
"While Eggman is preoccupied doing god knows what, his deadliest robot warriors, the Badniks, command and conquer."
There are then shown Eggman's different robot warriors.

"Seriously, what's with the eggs?"
Clark sighed. "His ego certainly matches his intelligence."
"Still better than those monkeys," grumbled Conner.
The next robot shown is a silver robotic echidna.
"While Sonic was one thorn in his side, there were numerous others on his shit list. Based off of Knuckles the Echidna, he built Mecha Knuckles. Original, I know. It has increased strength, can glide, and vomit giant rockets... Okay, the original didn't have that last one, but it still kicks ass."
It was a strange creation, but they shrugged. It was pretty simple overall.
The next Badnik is a large black and white-colored robot.
"The E-101 Betas remain one of Eggman's most versatile machines."
"With super speed, teleportation, and a reflector shield, they're more than walking tanks. It doesn't help Eggman that one of them sided with his enemies. These babies shoot homing missiles and energy beams. They've even got one of my favorite defensive abilities ever, the backhand!"
"Those things are practically death machines," blanched Wally.
The next ones are robot replicas of a strange black hedgehog named Shadow.
"Taking a page from his grandfather, he created the Shadow Androids. They are fast and durable and typically fight in groups of three. However, their design is so complex, they sometimes glitch in close combat."
"Why does that Shadow guy look like an edgy version of Sonic?"
"Some kids at school joke that Batman is too edgy."
"I keep telling you, Bats, that you need to let loose a little more. You're hurting our image."
The next robot looks exactly like Sonic but silver.
"Trying to beat Sonic at his own game, Mecha Sonic was built."
"Just imagine having to fight your own Robot doppelganger," stated Zatanna.
Dinah frowned. "Unfortunately, we technically already had to go through that."
"Thanks to us, Tornado just had to sit in the sidelines while we took out Mister Twister," declared Wally.
"I remember telling you all at the time that-" Red Tornado tried to interject but was interrupted once more.
"There's no need to thank us, man. We know you wouldn't
"Sure..." The android dropped the topic.
"I still remember the fight with Amazo..." groaned Clark. The other teens joined in as well.
"That was not a fun day," added Diana.
Batman dryly spoke. "I warned you guys to stay back."
"You make it sound like it being able to duplicate abilities was obvious," complained Oliver.
"No, it wasn't obvious, but I didn't want us to take the risk that it was one," answered Bruce. At this point, everyone should have been used to his level of cautiousness and paranoia.
Wally gave his girlfriend a light-hearted nudge. She simply smirked back, knowing that she saved their skins at the time.
Bruce turned to the teens. "Just so you know, I helped pay for all the damages you did at the school gymnasium."
Zatanna was scot-free, but the others looked away from the Dark Knight innocently.
Red Tornado stared at the little metal hedgehog.
"And it failed miserably, so he tried building another robo-hog, the second generation Mecha Sonic."
The next creation is another Sonic robot, but taller and deadlier.
"Compared to the first, this guy focuses on firepower over speed!"
"Much like the original Sonic, Mecha Sonic 2 can absorb Chaos energy to attain a short-lived Super Form. Even one emerald could move a continent or split the planet."
That last line turned some heads. They remembered the Emeralds from Sonic's fight, and it was still hard to believe their potential.
Red Tornado turned to the senior members. "This Eggman's actions to build a better hedgehog mirror my father's attempts to build a better android."
"I see the parallels," commented Kaldur.
Artemis pointed to the screen. "Looks like he's not stopping their either."
"But none of Eggman's creations have ever been as deadly or as successful as his ultimate killing machine..."
They see a robot that looks very much like Sonic, but they couldn't help but get an ominous feeling when looking into its eyes. Considering the change in music, this creation must be the real deal.

Tornado put a hand to his metal chin. "Well. I was not expecting that. Three generations of Reds. Three generations of Robotic Sonics. Each one deadlier than the last."
Kaldur frowned. "This Eggman is really obsessed with destroying Sonic."
"It's borderline Luthor," remarked Superman.
"Yeah," nodded Robin. "He's taking the 'you are your own worst enemy' in the literal sense."
"Even more unhealthy obsessions in the world," groaned Dinah.
Artemis snapped her fingers. "I remember when Joker dressed up as Bats for a week."
Robin cringed at the memory.
"We don't like to talk about it," concluded Bruce.
"He's also got a chest laser, rocket-powered flight, and the Maximum overdrive attack. He overloads his circuits to create a glowy energy field that'll burn through pretty much anything!"

"It appears that Eggman upgraded him with the adaptive technology of Emerl the Gizoid as Metal Sonic is now an ever-evolving force. Metal has the uncanny ability to scan and copy data from others, flawlessly replicating their abilities."
Everyone went silent.
Conner's eye twitched and gritted his teeth. "He built an Amazo."
"No, even worse," added Oliver. "He built an Amazo 2.0."
Tornado nodded at the screen. "Fascinating."
The room gave him an incredulous look before turning back to the show.
"Damn, Eggman sure stepped up his game!"
"Obtaining more power can transform Metal even further, all of which increase his abilities exponentially."
"Make that Amazo three, four, and onward," awkwardly laughed Megan.
They see Metal Sonic transforming into his Neo form and finally his overlord form. Metal Sonic basically turned into a wizard and then a giant metal dragon.
The teens gaped at the transformation "You got to be kidding me?!"
"He became a dragon?!" exclaimed Diana.
"The ability of a machine to evolve intrigues me," commented Tornado. Ignoring the robotic behemoth on screen, he wondered if there would ever come a day he could see himself as a human but more. To feel true human emotion and desires. Could his artificial intelligence reach that point?
"To make matters worse, Metal Sonic having a super brain lets him act outside Eggman's direct orders, going rogue."
"That's deeply concerning," remarked Kaldur.
The teens couldn't help but remember the time Red Tornado pretended to go rogue, freaking out everyone.
"Even if his creations are destroyed or preoccupied, Dr. Eggman is well equipped to enter the fight."
They paid close attention to see Eggman in action while riding a large pod.

"I suppose a downside is that taking out the pod would keep him from using anything else," deduced Kaldur. The others nodded in agreement.
"Like the humongous Death Egg Robot with its rocket arms and lasers!"
The humanoid mech had a head and torso that came together in an indistinguishable egg shape. Its head and torso bore a great resemblance to Dr. Eggman during his younger days, right down to his mustache and attire.

"The Egg Dragoon is one of Eggman's most powerful and versatile creations to date, its design being derived from years of research on Sonic the Hedgehog's movements and patterns."
The Egg Dragoon is an imposing red mecha with dragon themes. On its left arm, it has a long and gigantic drill, and on the right arm, it has a six-barreled cannon.
"That's certainly imposing," complimented Diana.
"If T.O Morrow had more time, he might have eventually made a Red Dragon," commented Tornado.
Zatanna took a breath. "If it's anything worse than what Red Volcano was capable of, I would fear for my life."
Artemis smirked. "Not bad for your first outing, though."
The magician smiled back. "Definitely."
"Eggman is a vicious and clever manipulator. However, his obsession has led to overlooking simple mistakes in his plans. In the game of world domination, Eggman is a dangerous and unpredictable foe."
"I'm kind of wondering why he doesn't turn himself into some sort of cyborg," asked Conner "He'd make it work."
"I'm pretty sure it would hurt, like a lot," answered Zatanna dryly.
Oliver shrugged. "Besides, they're better off without a Cyborg Eggman as we are, let's say, a Cyborg Superman."
Clark leveled a stare at the archer. "Please don't ever say that in public. Our jobs are hard enough as it is." Superman massaged his temples. "I swear, I'm getting flashbacks of my fights back home."
Eggman is shown on monitors all around the world. "Hah, hah, hah! Citizens of earth, lend me your ears and listen to me very carefully! My name is Dr. Eggman, the world's greatest scientist, and soon to be the world's greatest ruler! Now, witness the beginning of the greatest empire of all time!"
Suddenly, the Eclipse Cannon is revealed from the Space Colony ARK.
Tornado tilted his head. "I do believe that is a high-intensity energy cannon." The others gave him the "no shit" look.
The ARK fires a blast that destroys half of the moon. The people of earth watched in horror at what just happened and Eggman laughs as the time shows a little less than 24 hours until the Eclipse Cannon strikes the earth.
Eyes went wide at the destruction. "God damn!" exclaimed Artemis.
Dinah sighed. "While I hope that our enemies have enough sense not to pull that kind of crap, I have my reservations."
"They weren't kidding about the power of a few of those emeralds," commented Robin.
Bruce cleared his throat. 'Note to self: Do not mention the Binary Fusion Generator.'
Overall, Eggman is an eccentric scientist. If he was on their Earth, he would be a threat to everyone. Using animals as energy slaved put him on everyone's metaphorical shit list. His. On to the next opponent.
The next combatant is an elderly man wearing a lab coat. He has two tuffs of hair on the sides of his heads and a large mustache. His expression gives off a devious personality. Next to him is an advanced army of robots.

"They weren't kidding. He really does resemble Einstein," commented Artemis.
"I'm pretty sure he had more hair, though," countered Wally.
"In the 21st century, with the advancement of science, humans were able to create industrial humanoid robots to help with different tasks, and they coexist peacefully."
"You kinda expect what's gonna happen next."
"That certainly went from zero to a hundred real quick."
"One such roboticist was Dr. Wily. He won many awards, but he was consistently upstaged by his colleague, Dr. Light, wounding his pride."
"Wow. I'm not the only one getting Ivo vibes, right?" asked Conner.
"No, you're not," answered Robin.
"How did he plan to overcome this, you ask? By moving to the Pacific Ocean, creating a giant robot factory, and plotting to take over the world."
A billboard is hacked, showing the doctor's face. "Ladies and gentlemen, your attention, please. The name's Wily... The one and only, the brilliant scientist, Dr. Wily! It may seem rather sudden to you, but I've decided I'd like to take over the world! Nuhah! Nuhahahaha! Ahem! Anyway, to begin... Dr. Light! I'll be taking your precious robots!"
"I swear. Don't mad scientists have better things to do?" cried Wally.
"Well, they're called mad for a reason," argued Oliver.

Other than the Sniper Joes, they seemed like ordinary minions and bots.

"Wily is a mastermind in more than just hardware. His Roboenza virus is a deadly disease for robots, making them unstable and violent with no regard for human life."
"Tell me he didn't just start the robot apocalypse." Everyone was dreaded by the thought but couldn't help but feel sympathetic to the robots exposed to it. They too lost their minds to outside influences.
Red Tornado thought about the virus and spoke. "I can assure you all that I have updated my security systems ever since the new year's incident."
"How so?" asked Zatanna.
"Upon detection of a breach, I activate an automatic shut down. I will not be able to reboot myself until the breach has been terminated. In the case of going rogue, I assure you that I have no intention of taking over the world."
"Is that before or after getting messed up in the CPU," asked Conner.
The Android gave his own version of a sigh. "I wouldn't have to go through the trouble like my brother Red Volcano. If I wanted to take over, I could simply wait for humanity to destroy itself."
The room went silent for a while. "He's not wrong. It's a definite possibility," spoke Bruce.
"We nearly nuked ourselves in the seventies," added Oliver.
"Yeah, we're still working with the UN on denuclearization," added Clark.
"Regardless," added Diana. "It is humankind's capacity to thrive and grow that will ensure a better tomorrow. I'm sure things will be fine."

The Robot Masters were humanoid-looking and they come in different sizes and shapes, which got the group very interested. The first one looks like a big construction worker.

The large orange master had the physique of a gorilla.
"Formerly a civil engineering machine, Guts Man was modified to be a powerhouse."
The next robot is a red one wielding saw blades.
"The first Robot Master built by Dr. Wily was Metal Man, and he was made specifically for killing. You can tell 'cause he's got evil red eyes!"
Metal Man looks very intimidating with his gaze and saw blades.
"His Special Weapon is the Metal Blade, large, razor-sharp, circular saw blades made of ceramic titanium. His lightweight design grants him high agility, but because of a design flaw, Metal Man is vulnerable to his own Metal Blades."
Wally huffed. "Similar style to Captain Boomerang. Man, I really hate those things."
"I keep telling you to practice predicting the curve with me," added Robin.
The next master is covered in claws and spikes with feline hints.
"Created to clear forests, Slash Man is one of the fastest and agile bots. He wields the Slash Claw, a portable blade that's designed to destroy asteroids!"
Superman was slightly impressed. He had to punch out a few asteroids that came too close to the Earth.
A red robot master is shown with a magnet on his forehead.
"Magnet Man is a good leader and tactician in combat. He uses homing Magnet Missiles and magnetism to outmaneuver enemies."
"You would think that magnets would be bad for robots," commented Oliver.
"Actually," corrected Red Tornado. "It depends on the storage medium. Tapes such as VHS and Floppy disks are very sensitive while Hard Drives or Solid State Drives have much higher resistance."
"And then there's Sheep Man."
They see a small robot covered in wool.
"Sheep?" questioned Dinah.
"Originally a sheep herding robot, he was later infected with Roboenza. Using the static build-up in his wool, he unleashes several bolts of lightning.
The princess frowned. "That's disheartening. Such an innocent profession brought to violence."
Some of the teens thought about Mister Twister and his lightning attacks.
"He may seem tough, but he falls apart when hit by rubber baseballs."
"I guess that makes sense," shrugged Wally.
A purple robot master looks like a bipedal tank with rocket arms.
The next Robot Master appeared as an ancient Egyptian pharaoh
"He resembles Tutankhamun," commented Diana. They took her word for it considering her historical background.
"Napalm Man is practically a walking weapon. He is equipped with an array of explosive missiles all over his body."
"This guy is after my own heart. He blows shit up so much, that he blew up his own weapons museum!"
"Ironic," quipped Oliver.
"Originally created by Dr. Cossack to explore ancient ruins, Pharaoh Man possesses a large arsenal of mysterious powers. He has solar blasts and waves, teleportation, a magic shield, and levitation."
"Robots can do magic?" questioned Robin.
"Technically, anyone can use magic with proper instruction," replied Zatanna.
"You can say that Robots are similar to golems in how they can manipulate the energy," added Diana.
"And he's also known for being a little punch-happy!"
A few laughs were earned when Pharaoh Man happily punched a blue robot across the room.
So far, Tornado was impressed and
"But Dr. Wily's Ultimate Robot Master is none other than Bass."
The last robot is black colored with a fin-shaped headpiece and red eyes with purple markings. He also has a purple robot dog that is fierce and loyal.

"Bass was created by Dr. Wily to imitate his nemesis, Mega Man. Much like Metal Sonic, he was created based on research conducted on Mega Man with the intention of surpassing him."
Some people were interested in this Mega Man and want to see more of him.
"He must be the hero," guessed Megan.
"Bass is powered by Bassnium, an extremely potent and unique energy source."
"That can't be real," argued Wally.
"Bassnium? You just made that up."
"I wish I did."
"You did say that they are from another world," countered Red Tornado
"His Bass Buster is an arm cannon that has both rapid-fire and Charge shot settings."
"Bass programmed to be able to copy any action he has seen. If he gets a hold of another's weapon, he can use it to the same effectiveness as the original owner."
"The scientists make it sound easy to duplicate powers," complained Artemis.
Red Tornado answered back. "Technology is a pathway to many abilities some may consider to be unnatural."
Wally and Oliver stared at the android. "Was that a Star Wars reference?"
"Possibly."
"He even has a robo-dog named Treble."
"Aw. He even has a pet wolf, Conner."
"Gotta admit. He looks pretty cool," the half Kryptonian added. 'Now that I think about it, where is Wolf?' He was probably exploring outside the mountain.
"When he fuses with Treble using the Super adapter, they become... Super Bass!"
"I definitely can't do that." Conner thought for a bit. 'Maybe I can see if Sphere can turn into a jetpack or something, maybe a battlesuit like those Forever people.'
Super Bass looked like a real badass to the teens. He had new armor and a pair of jet wings.
Robin smirked. "Just imagine if you could combine superheroes like some sort of fusion."
"If Red Tornado were to combine with his siblings, would they become Red Menace?" Oliver wondered out loud.
"You make me sound like a communist," dryly replied the android.
"With such power, Bass became brash and arrogant. His superiority complex has him challenge anyone to prove himself as the strongest robot warrior."
Clark raised a brow. "Let's see how he handles himself against another copying robot."
"I'm more than sure he'll meet his match," added Diana.
"But then the chips are down and Wily's got no one to turn to, he summons his personal vehicle!"
They see the many battle mechs that Wily used.

Diana frowned. "I understand having a draconic theme like the Egg Dragoon and Metal practically becoming a beast, but why make your vehicle shaped like an animal?"
"Intimidation factor," answered Bruce.
'You would know,' came the mental replies.
"However, Wily's most used model is number eight."
It was a flying ship shaped like a skull.
"This flying skull launches missiles, lasers, and Boomerang Buzzsaws."
"Surprisingly enough, Wily has his own personal transportation too, the Wily Capsule."
"These two are too similar for their own good," dryly stated Zatanna.
"It runs like nails on a chalkboard!"
Most of the room cringed at the piercing sound.
"This what Pied Piper must feel 24/7," complained Wally.
"Oh, god. Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP! *groan*"
Megan and the others sighed in relief. "Glad that's over."
"Wily plans for long term success in mind. That's why he keeps his team as diverse as possible."
Looks like the room's conclusions were spot on.
"Unfortunately, this means each robot has its own specific weaknesses. To compensate, Wily has them in teams, so they are prepared for anything."
Dinah smirked. "That's the main point of most teams. Where some members lack, others fill the void to make a more all-around unit."
For the teens, Conner was the tank, Wally is the scout, Robin is the hacker, Artemis is the sniper, Kaldur is CQB, Megan is the comms, and Zatanna is the support.
Now they see Wily preparing a laser cannon as he was talking like a madman, while his Robot Masters looked at him with worried expressions on their faces.
Dr. Wily is shown juggling model planets. "I will create Chaos, destroy everything, and the best part, ooh, the very best part is..." He prepares to activate his laser. "...I have finally gotten the best of Dr. Light!" He laughs maniacally.
Despite the two combatants being villains again, they had to give credit for their intelligence. Eggman seemed to focus all his robot designs to target Sonic while Wily had a broader range of talents. However, taking into account the emeralds, it might be enough to tip the scales. In the end, Wally, Artemis, Zatanna, Bruce, Oliver, and Clark gave the edge to Eggman while the others gave the edge to Wily. Red Tornado ran his own numbers and predicted that Eggman had a slim chance of winning.
"All right the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all."
"But first, we got an advertisement from... uh..."
"Actually Boomstick, we don't need to do those anymore."
"Freedom! It's time for an ad-less Death Battlllllleeeeeexceptforthebeginningunlessyourafanwhichreallyhelpussupportthisshowsowecanmakemorethingsfighteachothertothedeaththankyouweloveyou!"
A little bit awkward, but at least they care about their audience.
Now it was time for the fight.

The screen showed a rather calm futuristic looking city. Suddenly, an explosion blows out a chunk of a skyscraper.
Artemis laughed a bit. "He sure knows how to make an entrance."
Doctor Wily and his army marched through the streets. Civilians screamed and ran for cover.
Kaldur frowned. "Not as fun for them. Glad this is just a simulation."
Wily raised his fist into the air in manic joy. "That's one more step to my plan. Soon, the Earth will be mine! Bwahhahahaha."
"I have my doubts," remarked Oliver.
A few moments later, some of his Mets and Hotheads start taking fire. "Blast! Must be Mega Man. Execute Alpha 3 formation." His army followed his words to a T, prepared to fight. Around the next block, an unexpected enemy arrived. "What?!"
The rotund Doctor Eggman flies in on his Egg Mobile with his troops not far behind. "Hahaha. First this city and then the world! And there won't be a hedgehog to stop me." It didn't take long for the two to make eye contact.
"Who the hell are you?" yelled Wily. Several Robot Masters and Badniks started sizing up each other.
"I should be asking you the same question," Eggman retorted back. "This city is mine! Find your own!"
"There's a hint of pleasure seeing villains fighting one other," remarked Dinah.
"Better them than one of us," answered Wally.
"I don't think so, you bulbous ignoramus." Wily crossed his arms. "You want this city, you have to pry it from my cold dead hands."
Eggman gave a sinister smile. "I wouldn't have my victory any other way."
"Let's get this fight started," snarked Conner.
The armies of Both Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily geared up and revved for battle. Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily stayed at the rear leading in their Eggmobile and Wily Machine respectively. This is it, time to which doctor is the better robot commander.
FIGHT!
(Cues Last Battle - Hard Destruction Mix)
Eggman stood up and pointed at his opponent. "Attack! For the Eggman Empire!"
Wily did the same. "Fool! You will fall to your superior! Attack!"
The aerial squads were the first to engage. The Buzz Bombers dropped their payloads over the Mets, but thanks to their protective helmets, they withstood the blasts. With the Buzz Bombers still reloading, the Mets retaliated and destroyed the squadron.
"Who would have thought the turtle defense was a viable tactic?" muttered Robin.
The Moto Bugs charged at a Paozo, but they get bowled over by its red boulder. The Sniper Joes take cover behind abandoned cars. Taking aim, the sniper bots cut down several Egg Pawns. Several SWATbots took their place to assist any surviving Egg Pawns but to no avail. Sniper Joes' shields held against the blasts. Moving from cover to cover, Sniper Joes took down the Egg Pawns and SWATbots one by one. In the background, blue blur runs through the wreckage.
"I guess we can say Wily made better minions. Eggman is getting destroyed." Clark shrugged.
"Their defense and range gave them the edge," added Tornado.
Wily smirked in his success. "Haha! Would you look at that? Your minions are outclassed. Turned into the buckets of bolts they are worth.!"
Eggman growled. "No matter. It's time to stop holding back. Get a load of this!"
An E-101 Beta suddenly appeared, disabling its invisibility. "Target confirmed."
"You would think the Betas would have stayed invisible to do a sneak attack," critiqued Dinah.
"They don't exactly look subtle," replied Artemis.
The music shifted as the fight started to heat up.
(Cues Crazy Robo Boss: E-101B - Sonic Adventure)
Beta made a strafing run over Wily's ground forces. With a few charge shots, it destroyed most of them. As Slicers started to swarm it, it quickly backhands the smaller drones into bits.
A Mets squad slowly made their advance. However, they are intercepted by an Eggrobo bomb.
The Shadow Androids dashed past a duo of Hotheads. They try to lob lava rocks, but they teleport out of the way. Silver Sonic and Mecha Sonic rolled up and spin-dashed through the Hotheads.
"Woah. It looks like the Eggman's evening the score," Robin said.
"Maybe, but we still haven't seen the Robot Masters enter," Diana added.
(Cues We're the Robots - Mega Man 9)
Wily glared at the Badnik's advancement. "Robot Masters! Go!"
All the Robot Masters jumped into the fray, destroy a number of Eggman's forces. Metal Man and Slash Man fight back-to-back to against a wave of minions. The Robot Master's onslaught of cuts decimated them.
Magnet Man glowed blue as he pulled Beta and the EggRobo. Neither could resist the magnetic field's pull. Deactivating the pull, Magnet Man lands direct hits with Magnet Missiles, busting the bots.
Robin smirked. "That's pretty useful when fighting other robots." 'Maybe I'll make similar Birdarang ones.'
Mecha Sonic goes up against Pharaoh Man, he wasn't fast enough. It didn't help that Pharoah Man's teleportation kept giving him a clear shot. Even when Mecha Sonic predicted his next location, an Eye Shield successfully defend against his attack. With a charged solar attack, Pharaoh Man destroyed Mecha Sonic.
Zatanna pouted. "I'm still working on short-range teleportation spells."
Wally frowned a bit. "Too bad we didn't get a chance to see him go super."
Guts Man lands onto the battlefield, causing a small quake. He picked up a Moto bug before throwing it at a nearby Knuckle Bot, knocking it off balance. Rearing his fist back, Guts Man punches forward. Mecha Knuckles narrowly catches himself before throwing a punch of his own. As soon as the fists clashed, a shockwave of air burst from the duo. Knuckles tried to hold his ground, but he wasn't strong enough. Slowly, his arm started to give out, bringing him to his knees. Seeing this, Guts man released the punch before raising both arms, With a mighty swing, he pounded Knuckles into a large crater. Satisfied, he laughed in his success.
"Guts Man sure is a beast," complimented Conner. 'I should try one of those moves.'
"So far, it looks like Wily will win," stated Kaldur.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that," countered Bruce.
"Indeed, Eggman still has some cards to play," added Tornado.
Meanwhile, Napalm Man was chasing Silver Sonic. Just as he is about to target the gray hedgehog, he is knocked down by a third party. The room wasn't sure at first who it was until they saw the black shield.
"It's him," whispered Megan.
Tornado nodded. "Metal Sonic has entered the battle."
(Cues Sonic 3 - Final Boss Remake Orchestrated / Rock)
After deactivating his shield, Metal Sonic scans the downed Napalm Man, copying his abilities.
Getting up, Napalm man fires a volley of missiles at the menace only for the Robo-hog's arms to open and unleash his own. The two continue firing at a stalemate. Unfortunately, Napalm Man didn't notice the charge building in Metal Sonic's chest. Through the smoke and fire, a large beam pierces through and disintegrates him. Ignoring the wreckage, Metal Sonic flew away, looking for more useful data.
"That can't be good," remarked Kaldur.
Bruce narrowed his eyes. "Metal's starting to collect more powers."
(Cues Dr. Eggman's Theme - Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog)
Sheep Man splits and hovers over a group of SWATbot before raining electric hell, destroying the whole group. Sadly, he didn't have time to celebrate as Silver Sonic cut right into him.
Megan shook her head. "Such a short time before his loss."
(Cues Stardust Speedway (Bad Future) - Sonic CD)
"Say goodbye, loser." Bass unleashed a charged shot, destroying the robo-hog. From the debris, a green gem falls to the ground. By his side, Treble barks in excitement. The remains of the Shadow Androids and splats of black oil surrounded the metal paws.
"It dropped an emerald," pointed Zatanna.
(Cues Magician's theme - The House of the Dead)
Bass cheered. "Oh yeah. I'm a badass."
Wily sighed in relief. "Sheesh. About time you showed up, Bass!" Treble then starts barking toward the greed crystal. The two men notice it as well. Wily's capsule started beeping rapidly. "I'm getting massive energy readings from that thing."
Before they could do anything, Metal Sonic swooped in and took the Chaos Emerald. Slowly, he started gathering energy.
"If they got their hand on that, it would have really put the battle on their terms," commented Diana.
Seeing the enemy building power, Wily shrugged. "Well... Good luck, Bass!" He then flew to safety.
Ignoring the possible danger, Bass cracked his metal knuckles. "Oh, well. He'll go down like the rest. He might even be a worthy challenge!" Before he could act, several yellow and green blobs fly past him in Metal Sonic's direction. Bass frowned. "Come on, man!"
Next to Metal, the blobs form into the Yellow and Green Devil. With the energy and copied data, Metal Sonic transformed into his Neo state. Behind, the Yellow and Green Devils entrapped him with their bodies. The heavy masses of the two bodies weigh down the psychotic android.
"I know how it feels," Robin stated dryly.
Seeing his prized creation in danger, Eggman flew in with a wrecking ball and attacked the Yellow Devil. Eggman tried to bat the blobs away. "No! Get back, you blob things!"
Bass decided to join the fight again by first cutting the chain supporting the wrecking ball. Eggman flew away as a Shadow Android attacked Bass with a homing attack. Bass blitzes toward the android and grabbed it by the throat. His eyes scan over the body before crushing its neck. In a flash, he teleported a few feet. "Nice."
"Bass is starting to copy as well," said Tornado.
"Let's see who does it better," added Clark.
Eggman groaned in annoyance. "Well, this is a disaster. Call in the Egg Fleet!"
Wily met his eyes across the battleground. "Not so fast, Fatso!"
(Cues Boss Battle: Death Egg Robot - Sonic Generations)
Wily was shown inside his Wily Machine 8. "Maybe it's time we fought mano-a-mano."
Eggman laughs as he lowers his Eggmobile into his Death Egg Robot, then closes the top of it. "Your funeral."
The Wily Machine fired multiple blasts at the Death Egg Robo. In return, he took many spiked fists and a couple of missiles.
Seeing the Wily #8 hover over the Death Egg Robo, Wally smirked. "Wily has the high ground."
Meanwhile, Neo Metal Sonic escapes the Devils and makes his wat to Guts Man and Slash Man, scanning them before destroying them. Returning to the Devils stronger than before, Metal unleashed a series of saw blades and slashes. After scanning the remains, Metal's body rippled with new properties.
Finished scanning a Beta-bot, Bass ran in to face Metal. "Looks like I'm not the only copycat around here. You're going down!"
The two androids began blitzing each other on the ground. Energy blasts peppered the ground. Bass braced his arms as Metal came at him in a Lightspeed Dash. Neo Metal was fast, but Bass was faster.
The teens eyes widened, surprised that Bass could more than keep up with Metal.
The Death Egg Robot and WM#8 continue to trade blows, but Eggman was on the losing end. "This has gone long enough." With a press of a button, the Eggmobile ejected from the Death Egg, and his next mecha dropped from the fleet above. "Behold! The Egg Dragoon!" The drill arm thrust forward tunneling through the hull, and the machine explodes.
Wily flies out and lands in front of Eggman. Seeing the other scientist ready to finish him off, Wily got down on his knees. "Wait! I admit defeat! Please spare me!"
Dinah raised a brow. "Didn't think he would break down that fast."
"Now. Now. I always keep my promises." The energy canons quickly charged. "Bye. Bye." The elemental beam fired and took off the man's head. Eggman laughed. "Ho ho ho! Sucker!"
Clark huffed. "Wow. Eggman won."
"You might want to look again," interrupted Bruce.
When the body slumped to the ground, sparking wires protruded from the base of the neck. It was a fake Wily. "What? It's a fake!"
Off-screen, Wily spoke. "I'm not done yet."
(Cues Wily Machine Remix - Mega Man 9)
Eggman turns his robot around and sees Wily Machine 9. Treble charged into the fight between Neo Metal Sonic and Bass. Metal Man decided to join in by throwing four Saw Blades at Metal. In response, he summoned his Black Shield to absorb them and reflect them back, destroying Metal Man. Bass tried to shoot Neo Metal from behind but he teleports to counterattack. The two soon tried to out teleport each other to get a clear hit.
Wily groaned in annoyance. "Dumb robots! Why do I always have to do everything myself?" Wily opens up his machine's mouth, which then launches a capsule of Roboenza at Metal Sonic, which shatters, unleashing a purple haze.
Everyone was surprised at the turn of events when Roboenza stared affecting Neo Metal Sonic.
Wily smirked. "Ha! That's Roboenza! Looks like I win!"
"Not yet! Behold the almighty Egg Fleet!" Up above Eggman and Wily, the Egg Fleet is in the sky, which consists of Mako Shark minor ships, Sawfish Battleships and the Egg Carrier itself. "Now it's over! I've won!"
As Eggman laughs, Neo Metal Sonic started to twitch. Slowly, its head raised with eyes glowing bright red.
'That's bad,' was everyone's general thoughts.
"It's gone evil. Well, eviler than before," stated Zatanna.
Metal Sonic curled his hands into a fist. "Kneel before your master!"
(Cues Born Again - Mega Man 9)
Metal Sonic proceeds to fly upward towards the Egg Fleet and begins to absorb them, beginning to transform.
"Metal! What are you doing?!" cried Eggman.
Wily looked up in dumbstruck horror. "I was not expecting that." With that, the two scientists attempt to make a run for it.
"Giving a robot a madness virus will do that," chided Robin.
Bass sweated in fear. "Oh no... Come on, Treble!" Bass jumps into the air and uses the Super adapter to become Super Bass. As Metal Sonic's transformation nears its end, Bass shoots at him a few times to no effect. Bass was soon blasted out of the sky by Metal Sonic's missiles.
Metal completes his Overlord transformation and lets out a monstrous roar. The tentacles around his body build up energy before raining hell down below. Metal Sonic destroyed Bass along with a Shadow Android, a Buzz Bomber and Pharaoh Man. The second wave kills Dr. Eggman and his Death Egg Robot. Wily escapes Wily Machine 9 before it is destroyed by Metal Sonic. However, he is not quick enough to avoid Metal Sonic's onslaught of lasers and is eventually destroyed, then the screen goes white.
K.O.!
Everyone was silent from the results. Neither scientist won, and everyone in the city, possibly the world, got killed. Wally had to start the clapping to at least give commendations to the simulation they had seen. On-screen, they see Metal Overlord flying around the destroyed city and couldn't help but cringe at the destruction. In the corner of the screen, a strange figure with a ponytail is contained in an underground pod was shown.

"I would say that if Metal Sonic and Bass were not part of the armies, Wily would have had won," deduced Red Tornado. The other nodded in agreement. Wily seemed more organized and prepared. His robots were also much stronger as well.

This episode was unique. If the room learned anything from watching these villains fight was the importance of utilizing their full capabilities as a team to be as efficient as possible.
To the adults, they had to update their security systems to mitigate any rogue AI or mad scientist threats. The less technologically literate trusted that Bruce would be paranoid enough to make the right decisions but not go too overboard. Then again, they would likely have to check up on him to be sure.
A small beeping goes off in Red Tornadoes' head. He appears to have answered the 'call,' nodding to the silent voice in his head. He appeared to hang up before turning to the others. "Thank you for letting me join you. Seeing these robots from another world gives some hope for me and my brethren that we can coexist in modern society."
Clark and Diana smiled at the optimism. "It is something for all of us to work toward."
He nodded back. "Indeed. However, I have prior arrangements in another state that I must attend to. I hope that I can join you from one of these contests again."
Robin smirked. "We'll keep you posted, Red."
With that, they all said their goodbyes as Red Tornado made his Zeta exit.

They all turned back to the TV to see who's up next.
"Next time on Death Battle."
Two beautiful princesses enter the screen. One had brown hair with pointy ears while the other one had bright blonde hair and a pink dress.
"Looks like we have royalty," commented Oliver.
Artemis smirked. "Looks like a Queen of the Hill battle."
Wally pressed play silently excited to see another female fight.
