Daniel

"That's the last of the Troop Transports, Grandmaster." Admiral Morgan told me.

"Very good. From now on, all decisions are for the General to make." I turned to Emilio. "Good luck." I smiled and patted his shoulder.

The Fort was incredible, and something that seemed impossible to build in such a short time.

Docks and jetties sat side by side on the beach, easily a few kilometers long.

From what I had seen a massive area had been left for tents and supplies. Multiple walls surrounded that space, complete with towers and gates.

I was kind of let down that I couldn't stay for longer, but knowing what was coming, this wasn't going to be such a nice place to stay for long.

"Alright. You can contact me on the comms system, I'm fairly certain that won't cause a problem. Goodbye, and may the Gods be with you for the upcoming battles."

The few people close enough to hear saluted, before continuing with their jobs. I strutted back up into the hull of The Titaness, now Empty, apart from the small pile of supplies left for us to use.

Harold and Philip got on board soon after, and the door closed.

Once inside the Command Center, Kirn walked over to me.

"What is our destination, Sir?"

"Straights of Gibraltar."

"Right away."

Not two minutes later I could feel the Ship Moving on the waves.

"How many of there are you in the Phoenix Squad," I asked, turning to Harold.

"Sixteen, with another Four we're still waiting for."

"Where are they?"

"Off on missions. It might take June some time to find them, but they'll be back. What about Pandora? I haven't seen her since... Well since before we left."

"She's off doing some spying for me. Scouting the path in front of us."

He had nothing more to say, so we just sat around the large holographic table showing our location on the planet, in silence.

"Did you manage to talk with Sophia?" He finally asked, after a good ten minutes of staring at Sardinia.

"No... I couldn't reach her. I hope she's okay." I muttered.

Harold laughed. "You should've seen how she fought during the Battle at Wilnos. With a bit of training, and she'd be a very big danger to anyone with that sword of hers."

"Just that, I've hardly been with her. A month has gone by without us talking. What person in their right mind leaves their Girlfriend alone, after only a day of being together."

"Both you and she know that what's going on right now is something far bigger than any one person. The fate of life itself is at risk. Tartarus has allied himself with Leit, he can only hope to keep the good terms with him. Tartarus might just enslave mortals. Leit on the other hand, if he manages to overcome Ragnos, nothing will remain. Life itself will be reformed. And not in a good way."

I sighed.

"Yes, I'm familiar with the position we're in."

"Maybe you should lay down for a bit. We've got a few hours until we reach the straights of Heracles."

"The sleep part sounds good, but I'd rather not lay down. A Short nap in this chair might help me clear my head a bit though." I smiled.

I closed my eyes, slowly drifting to sleep.

Moments later I opened my eyes. Instantly I knew I wasn't on the ship, for total darkness surrounded me. I looked around at my new environment, hoping to see Sophia. My heart was beating faster every second.

Wind whistled past my ear, getting stronger with every heartbeat. It was Totally Silent. My breathing sounded so loud, that I was scared to take a breath, for fear of disturbing something.

A Howl rippled through the blackness, followed by more. They melted into one big sound, and I couldn't figure out if it was only a few dozen or thousands.

White lights appeared in front of me, quite far, though with every second that passed, they got more and more close.

As did the growling, whining noise that I had mistaken as howling.

This wasn't friendly.

I reached for my swords and found the familiar grip of my blades.

With every moment they got closer, I saw more and more appearing. The closest ones looked like claws or fangs.

Gnarled hands were attached to the claw, dark as my surroundings, and only illuminated by the white light.

It stopped and got ready to pounce. I readied myself to strike at the thing I could hardly see.

A Gutteral Roar in some sort of language that sounded familiar, yet I couldn't understand, rang out from behind me, taken up by many more.

Thousands of light beams flew through the air, and I knew to lay down on my stomach. One passed over me and struck the creature. What was illuminated made me crawl backward as fast as I could. A horrible, twisted form of a man, black as... Chaos. Only their sharp claws were illuminated.

Whatever this light beam was, it seemed to only anger it, and it marched towards me.

With the flick of my hand, a wave of chaos crashed forward, suffocating the creature where it stood.

"Where am I?" I asked.

A star-shaped light flew into the air, and it lit up the place I had landed.

The Ground as black as the chaos flowing through me.

Thousands, if not Millions of those deformities were charging towards a line of Plate-Clad Soldiers, each easily towering over me.

I knew those looks. My father's guard looked exactly alike to them.

Instantly, I sprinted towards their line.

Squawks and screams of horrific intensity sounded from above, and out of surprise I glanced up.

Beasts of unthinkable sizes clashed in the sky, tearing each other to shreds. Golden Ichor rained down on the ground, painting it golden.

Looking back at the line of soldiers, I saw one of them draw their bow back, aiming straight for me.

"STOP! I'M FRIENDLY!" I roared.

Every single head in close proximity whipped towards me. They didn't have faces, but I could've sworn they were shocked.

A Figure appeared from the gloom, towering over everyone by many tens of meters.

Before their head came into view, one of those flying beasts, shaped like a worm, flew towards it. Without so much as batting an eye, the lumbering figured grabbed it, and tore it in two, before throwing it as far as it could.

It shrank down and ran over to me. The Face of my Father was before me.

"WHAT. ARE. YOU. DOING. HERE?" He asked. I had never seen him so angry.

"I don't know... I-I... I fell asleep and-"

I saw movement out of the corner of my eyes, and something jumped at us. I moved to deflect, but my father was faster. It burst into golden ichor before I could even swing my sword.

"You're here, I don't know how or why, but it is not safe for you to stay here..."

He trailed off, looking at something behind me.

Then he ignored me, turning instead, towards his soldiers, speaking in the tongue of creation.

"What is it?"

"A New Beast of Leit."

I turned around and gasped.

Lumbering through the horde of small beasts were massive, troll-like figures. They were crushing everything underfoot.

"I don't have time to take you to safety. Did my Oracle teach you everything?"

"Yes!"

"Then draw energy from your surroundings. Everything here is made out of chaos. Fight, and we may just beat them back. We don't need this line for much longer, but losing it would be catastrophic."

"What about the 'It's not safe for me' part?" I asked.

"Less talk, more concentration. This Battlefield is no place for banter."

I nodded, sensing the seriousness of what my father was saying. Stooping down, I touched the ground and felt the energy pulse through me.

Without warning, my Father roared and grew to a size much smaller than what he had appeared in, yet as tall as those lumbering things marching towards us.

That battle cry was taken up by every soldier along the line, and as one, jumped over the mound that I would've called a dirt wall, but it wasn't made of dirt.

They charged past me, running faster than what I could've ever hoped to achieve.

The enemy got themselves into a frenzy, seeing a wall of armor charging towards them. They too charged on all fours towards us.

Quicker than I would've thought, the two sides clashed together with horrifying sounds no human could ever make. The Sounds of pure hate and savage fighting were terrible to hear.

The Large figure of my father jumped over the line of fighting soldiers, growing ever bigger. A Spear appeared in his hand, and without hesitation he stabbed it through the spine of the first massive thing, swinging it around in a circle, and taking out hundreds of those smaller gnarled human-looking things.

I charged forward, dodging between the legs of my Father's soldiers before I reached the first beast. Before I could even draw my sword, it was split in two by the broadsword of one of the soldiers. Its death rattle gave me goosebumps.

Drawing my swords, I walked forward and started helping in with creating carnage. My blades cut through limbs, torsos, and necks like they were nothing.

Closing my eyes, I drew on the power I had access to. Tendrils of Chaos emerged from my body, and they started killing every hostile thing that got close enough to me. In the distance, I could see my father killing those massive things like they were nothing. But there was still only one of him, and more of them were getting through his kill zone.

Those things would break a hole right through the wall of metal the soldiers created. If these wretched things managed to get through, not even the elite training and extreme endurance of these units could allow them to survive for long.

The closest one was nearly at the line. One swing of its fist, that's all that's needed.

I waded into the mass of cursed things, swinging at anything that got past my tendrils. They were doing an amazing job, even if they were technically a part of me. A simple touch and they reeled back from pain. The small space for retreat meant that these things took multiple hits, killing them near-instantly.

In no time I found myself at the leg of the thing. Its steps were incredibly slow, which was something you'd expect from a large thing as this was. Using my swords, I stabbed them into the rough flesh of this beast. My swords passed through it like a hot knife would through butter.

Climbing went quickly, but the Beast felt something, which I quickly found out when it slapped at the place I was only seconds ago. The rumbling of its flesh nearly made my swords slip out. That was a call for me to speed up.

The Creature's fists came up to its ear, and I saw what it was targeting. We had already arrived at the line.

"NO YOU DON'T!" I yelled, stabbing both my swords into its neck.

That got its attention.

It Roared, and the rumbling sent me flying sideways. With the sword still in its neck, I turned ninety degrees. Looking down, I saw the nauseating height at which we were at. All that was keeping me from a messy death was a sword stuck in the flesh of this thing.

"Alright, come on!" I muttered to myself. "Think!"

An idea popped in my head. There was no better option. I took my other sword and stabbed it in, right next to where my current one was, only turning it so the sharp blade was facing down.

I took a deep breath and pulled out the sword that was keeping me in place.

Instantly, the sharp blade, pulled by my weight, started its journey downwards, through flesh.

My tendrils now had a sharp tip, and they were stabbing into the body of the beast wherever they could. Those stabs were going much deeper than my swords were.

After angling myself to continue down its leg, I found myself once more on the ground. The bestial humans were getting drenched in the Golden Ichor running down the massive cut I had made.

But it was still alive, and very angry.

Its fist went up, and I was the target.

Once more, I took a deep breath and concentrated on the wrist of the thing.

Willing my swords to grow bigger, I steadied myself, and as the swing raced towards me, ready to crush me, I dashed forward and jumped off of one of the gnarly humans.

With both swords I stabbed into the wrist, and using every bit of strength I could muster, I pulled. With a sickening ripping sound, I fell whilst being drenched in Ichor, beside me something else was falling.

I met the ground very quickly, but the tendrils protected me from hurting myself.

Wiping the Blood of Immortals from my eyes, I found myself looking at a closed fist.

A Roar rang out, and I looked up to the beast. It really was angry now, and somehow still not dead.

"Goddammit," I muttered.

Pressing my hands against the ground one more, I channeled the energies of chaos whilst picturing meeting Sophia once more.

With a roar, I sent all that energy at the beast's chest. The Chaos energy formed into something that looked like a sharp lightning bolt and in the blink of an eye, it had pierced the bloody chest of that insufferable being.

Yet it did not collapse, still, it stood and roared.

Without warning the bolt exploded, and all I saw were bits of Chaos Troll flying everywhere.

And that was one.

"What... The... Fuck." I asked, trying to catch my breath while fighting off anything that got too close.

The light that had lit up when I had arrived. The one shaped like a star. Without me realizing it, it had started spinning faster and faster. Now it was giving off a yellow light rather than a white one.

My father appeared from nowhere, blasting everything that was even remotely close to the line. Thousands of Beasts, and easily millions of those cursed-looking humans disintegrated in the blink of an eye.

"You couldn't have done that sooner?" I asked.

"You kill this much, worse will come. Now we need to go, that star is what we needed, and it's good to take. We are retreating to a safer position. Grab my hand. We'll be able to talk back at my palace."

He shrank down to my size and stretched out his hand. I grabbed it, and everything warped for a moment. Suddenly I was standing in front of my father's throne.

Ragnos threw his sword onto the floor.

"Now that we are in more calm locations, what are you doing here Daniel?" He asked.

"As I said, I fell asleep, and awoke in the middle of the battlefield."

He stroked his chin.

"Then I guess it wasn't your fault after all."

"Thanks. What was that back there."

"That... That was me saving whatever I can. Each star represents my power. With every star he takes, Leit becomes stronger. He's already taken less important ones, but that one. That one I couldn't lose."

"I thought stars are big balls of gas much larger than earth."

"Here, reality is more fluid than what you come to expect in your world. I won't go into it. Another time maybe."

"Okay, what about those things? That we fought. They're really creepy."

"Leit's creations. Those tiny ones, they are his sick parody of humans. The lumbering beasts, I'm not sure. My guess he wasn't trying to humor me with those, rather he finally figured out that parodying my creations will not get him anywhere."

"I'm sorry father for putting a wrench in your plans," I said, bowing my head.

"What? No! It was unexpected, yes, but your arrival was a massive help. I was too busy to help with that giant, but you managed to kill it before it broke through. You saved the entire mission. But still, do not make this a reoccurring thing. I have no idea how you managed to get here in the first place, but if you ever find yourself here again, please try to find me as soon as possible. There are many abominations of Leit that even we haven't seen on the battlefield. If he finds out my son is out there, he won't hesitate to kill you."

I gulped.

"I understand."

"I sense you still have a few hours till your arrival back on the ship. I'll let you sleep for a bit more."

I smiled, and everything went white.

Sophia

"Have you talked with the River Gods yet?"

"Yes, they aren't willing to help," Marcus said.

"You're the son of Poseidon!" I told him, quite frustrated.

"Well, with him being captured, being his son doesn't mean as much to them, though it never really did."

"How did you do it..." I muttered, looking at Chiron. He was the most well versed in the defense of New York. He had been there the last time. It was his idea to talk with the River Gods, as Percy Jackson had once done.

"I guess we have to do stuff without them till we think of something to pay them with," Viscount told me.

"What about activating the statues to defend the city?" John asked.

"We don't know how to do it. Peter examined them, and couldn't sense anything. No start-up button, nothing. Annabeth Chase was the only one who knew how to do it after the death of Daedalus, but she too is dead. The Laptop that all the info was stored on was lost back in Rome."

"So we're missing some of the key stuff we need."

"Things are getting more and more complicated, huh Ganymede?" Dionysus said, looking at the bald man standing at the desk.

The man grunted, looking at the state of the Empire State Building's Lobby.

Everything deemed useless was taken out to be used up for raw materials.

"You're not too talkative nowadays..." Dionysus muttered.

"Dionysus, I've been promoted from Cupbearer to Gatekeeper of Olympus since last millennia. You are the first God I've talked with for more than two words for the last two hundred years. Believe me, there's a reason I'm bitter."

Mr. D simply laughed and slapped the back of Ganymede, who silently took each slap.

I looked back at the massive map spread out on the table we'd constructed for this job. Red Marks dotted nearly every street of Manhattan. That's where most of the defenses were going to be built. Brooklyn's streets were dotted with traps, and only one clear path was left so that supplies could still arrive into the city. That part of the city looked quite hard to defend, so we decided to go against fortifying areas of it. As for the Bridges connecting us to the rest of the world, all of them were rigged to explode. According to Tatiana, it'd be quite the fireworks show.

Jersey City would be lightly defended. A few Wooden Palisade walls, blocking the streets. Outposts. The list went on. I had given the Roman Engineers, the Amazon Builders and the Hephaestus Cabin full access to supplies for building structures.

As for the area surrounding the Empire state building, some of the skyscrapers had been knocked down for extra space. Supplies Storage, Barracks, Hospital, Training Grounds.

The Actual progress we were making was outstanding. The last of the Amazons had arrived a week ago, and the last of their supplies a day ago. With each day that passed, more people traveled up here with the supply train from the Roman Camp next to Camp Half-Blood. They were willing to fight with us, and Viscount was happy to accept them back in as full members of the Legion.

From the outside world, there were still Demigods arriving with families. Romans and Greeks alike. Those that weren't going to fight would be left at Camp Half-Blood. The Combined Force of the Athena Parthenos and Terminus was enough to deter any army. Peleus was also there to defend against anything hostile getting close to the Fleece. Some of the Automatons the Hephaestus Cabin and the Amazons could spare were manning the coastal fortifications and bunkers.

I sat down, smiling.

"What is it?" Bruce asked, looking at my face.

"We're doing very well."

My smile passed around the group sitting around the table.

"Sophia you've been on your feet for the past two days, with only a short nap or two that I saw you take. We need you in the best condition we can have."

"I guess you're right..." I absentmindedly stroked my hat. Chiron had handed it to me a few hours after the kidnapping of Apollo. It had been stolen by Toby. Looking at the clock hanging on the wall, I saw it was Quarter past Ten. Many streetlights had been destroyed by accident or on purpose, therefore New York was much darker at night than what I had seen before.

I stood up, and said goodnight to everyone, before walking up the stairs to the fourth floor. That was the Floor the Athena Cabin had secluded for themselves.

Finding the spot I had made myself, I laid down, and quick as a flash, I was asleep.

When I opened my eyes I was standing on my two feet, in front of a building that was all too familiar.

Pallas Athena Museum of History.

This must be a nightmare. It needs to be...

I was panicking. This place had burned down many years ago. The mere sight of it brought me to tears.

Out of nowhere, a pair of headlights appeared at the end of the road that I stood on. It got closer until it stopped in front of the stairs leading up.

The Person getting out of the car just made me cry even more.

He Wore those old glasses that you'd see on that wizard kid. Something-Potter. He was a sucker for old movies.

Christopher Whitefield, my father. His brown hair hanging down his forehead, only just above his eyes, still thick and strong, even though the first gray hairs were already prominent.

He looked back into the car, and I recalled his smile.

"I'll be right back, my little night owl." He said, kissing my forehead.

"Why did we come here, dad?"

"I forgot some of my work here. It won't be more than a few minutes."

Then he was jogging up the stairs, running for the entrance.

"No..." I muttered. "STOP!" I yelled.

He acted as if he heard nothing, and continued.

I sprinted after him, finding myself in the lobby of the Museum.

He seemed to be walking much faster than I could've thought possible. More like teleporting than actual walking.

"DAD!"

Before I could turn the corridor leading down towards the basement, an explosion knocked me off my feet. Flames engulfed the steps leading down.

"No. No. No. No." I whispered continuously, tears streaming down my face.

I reached the bottom and saw my father. He was laying on the floor, his glasses were gone and blood was streaming from his mouth and nose. A massive plank had pierced him.

"Dad... No..." I whimpered, feeling all the emotions I had learned to control flare up and come to the surface.

I kneeled down beside him and cried. All around me, the museum burned.

"He was a weak man. His love of the Gods made him blind to true power." That voice was familiar, and it definitely shouldn't have belonged there.

Looking up, I found myself staring at Tartarus.

"YOU!" I roared. Willing my sword, I swung it at him, but the sword never appeared, and all I did was punch him.

"On the other hand you, there's a fire in you. I realized that long ago, that you will be a problem."

"Leave me be, or kill me. Do not talk with me."

"My Girl, I come here with an offer." He chuckled.

"You dare parlay with me? Here, where my father lost his life?"

"I do. Though I do not see why, your father means a lot to you, and that is what my deal will encompass. A Life once lost, I can give back. For a fee."

I looked at the Primordial once more.

"What is your fee?" I muttered.

"You serve me. Your skills are misused by the gods, and even for that, they do not acknowledge you as someone who is capable of doing great things. Join me, and you will live like a goddess under my rule."

He stretched out his hand.

Taking that hand, that was all that I needed to do. And I could see my father again. His offers were tempting.

I looked at the face of my dad once again. His eyes were glazed over, and the fire was licking at his feet. Yet I could not feel its intense heat as much as I would've thought I would.

His eyes were still the same blue color that I remembered.

"Your Night Owl will bring you back," I whispered and kissed his forehead.

I was about to pull away when I noticed a picture in his eyes. A Reflection.

In it, flames did not gnaw on everything. It was just his desk, cluttered with projects still in the process of being completed. But on it sat something.

Red and Black. Wearing a helmet.

My face contorted with anger, and I looked at Tartarus, who seemed to sense that something was going wrong with his plan.

"Take my han-" He started sternly.

"It was you..." I muttered.

"What?"

"You. YOU cause the fire. YOU caused all of this..." Tears once again streamed from my eyes. I could feel the Magic Tartarus was using on me dissipate.

A Scream rang out from outside.

"Stubborn Bi-" He swung his hand to hit me, but I felt the air of the situation change. This was just a memory. The Past, that had happened.

I took a deep breath and concentrated on my hand.

This time, my sword did appear, and I struck at his arm, cutting deep.

He roared, before disappearing, sensing that he had lost here.

The room that I stood in was slowly collapsing.

I looked at the face of dad. The thought passed through my head that I should at least save his body. Then I recalled that this was still only a memory. I doubted I'd be invincible, but saving his body would not accomplish anything.

"Goodbye, Dad..." I muttered, before running up the steps. The Heat was searing, and I could already feel that I was short of breath.

Dashing out the door, I slipped and fell down a few steps before I managed to stop.

Groaning, I got back up, just as the entire Museum Exploded in flames, and the screaming got even louder, reaching a whole new pitch.

A Small Blonde Sophia was standing on the steps, crying and screaming.

Walking over, I kneeled down.

She looked at me and muttered one word. "Daddy..."

"He'll be okay where he's at..." I muttered whilst crying.

I shared a drawn-out hug with the younger memory of myself.

"Sophia..." It was just a sigh on the wind at first, but it soon became louder and louder.

A Cloaked figure appeared beside us, and I blinked.

I opened my eyes and saw a face in front of me.

Daniel

Sophia was hugging me, and I was hugging her back, though she seemed to only know what she was doing after a few minutes.

I had noticed her lying on the floor and had run over to see what was wrong.

It seemed like she was having a nightmare, and had then stood up. She first aimed a punch at me, that I only just managed to dodge. It would've been quite a formidable punch too.

I tried waking her, but she wouldn't budge.

She was muttering words that meant nothing to me while tears streamed down her face.

Night Owl.

Then her sword appeared in her hand, and she took off some of the hair from my head.

After imitating running, she stood still, turned her head to me, and hugged me.

And so there I was, wondering what in the name of the fucking Gods was going on, having been nearly decapitated by my sleepwalking girlfriend.

"Daniel?"

"Hi." I smiled.

"DANIEL!" She screeched and kissed me before I could do so much as say another word.

It did feel good, and I wished we could stay like that forever.

Once we stopped, she looked at my hair.

"Who cut your hair like that? It looks terrible."

"Well... You did." I said.

She raised an eyebrow while wiping a tear from her cheek.

"I don't know what you were dreaming about, but you were this close to making me a headless corpse."

"Oh..." She sat down on a white rock that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

"What was it?"

She was silent for a good minute, tears once again rolling down her face.

I hugged her.

"Tartarus had tried to recruit me."

"What?" He exclaimed.

"He made me dream of the day my... My father died. He offered me a position of power in the new world, and that he'd bring back my father. His offer seemed... Irresistible. Now that I look back he was probably trying to influence my decision with some sort of magic."

"But you didn't agree?"

"What? No... I saw a reflection in my father's eyes. I realized that it was Tartarus all along that had caused the museum fire. And- And..."

"It was just a memory. The fact that you managed to reject his offer means you are the strongest willed person I know."

Sophia

"Thank you..." I smiled, before frowning.

"What?" He asked.

"Why didn't you try to talk to me sooner?" I pouted.

"I tried... But-" He was panicking.

But I just started laughing. "Don't worry, I could be asked the same thing. We're here now, that's the point."

"Yeah..." He muttered.

"So whats happened with you?" I asked.

"I've learned to master my powers, and Harold has assembled an army. He's told me you've met."

"Yeah, back at the Amazon HQ around a month ago."

"Yeah, well we've got a massive army ready to defend against the monsters marching to Portugal. Meanwhile, I'm off to Sardinia. There's nothing important that's happened right now. What about you?" He looked a bit at the floor, before looking back at me, meaning he was leaving out some bit of info. If he didn't want to say, there was probably a reason for that.

"We traveled across America, first to the Roman Camp. They gave us a task to go to Seattle to find the Amazon Queen. Over the time we traveled multiple fights caused the Century we were given to seriously lose members. During our travel, we met the minotaur, as well as the Hunters of Artemis, who saved us."

"Did you find Jenny?"

"Yeah, but there's a lot more than that."

"Alright, carry on."

"We went into tornado alley, seeing as how Jenny had been lost there along with a few others. It's not a good place cause of Typhon. Helios helped us get there, and when we found an Abandoned looking Amazon Warehouse, we searched inside, only to find quite a few bodies. Black Marks on their bodies. The survivors, that included Jenny, talked about a Black Monster."

"A Chosen of Leit."

"Yes. But the most important person we found was Apollo."

"Apollo?" He asked, surprised. "Isn't he supposed to be gone?"

"He was in hiding. But enough about him. Escaping was a bit hectic due to Typhon getting too close for comfort, but we arrived in Tampa, where we met with Harold. From there we set out to get to Camp Half-Blood."

"Huh..."

"But that's not the end." I muttered, "Viscount managed to convince the entirety of New Rome to be evacuated to Camp Half-Blood, however, the Rearguard found themselves followed by a large Persian Army. The Battle came to be at a Single Bridge. Two and a Half thousand Romans against Eighty Thousand Persians."

I was waiting for Daniel to interrupt, but he just looked on, so I continued.

"Us Greeks, the Roman Century, the Hunters of Artemis and the Amazons arrived en-masse, and there in the conflict, we met that Chosen beast, along with the Girl that you may know, Valentina." He let out a small groan, having recalled where he had heard the name, "But she turned to our side in the middle of the battle, and together we defeated the thing. Then the Centaurs arrived, and the Persians were crushed. Meanwhile, Camp Half-Blood was having the same problem with Persians. We reached them before any major damage could be done to the Camp, and destroyed the army. We lost quite a few good friends, but many more were saved. Bruce lost Liz, and he's still acting differently. While we tried to interview the Captured Commander, another Chosen arrived and killed the Commander, before kidnapping Apollo. We were unable to do anything."

"You're lucky you didn't die." He muttered.

I smiled.

"Where are you now anyway?" He asked.

"In New York, preparing for a Battle. Building defenses."

"Very good. Once me and the Assassins of Chaos get back to the Island, we'll send any supplies we can spare to help out. That's the least we can do."

"Least you can do? You're already doing so much. You'll be single-handedly keeping back Tartarus' Forces. If that's nothing to you, then I don't know what a lot means."

He chuckled but said nothing.

Both of us were up to date. I laid my head on his shoulder, and just enjoyed the fact that I was in his arms after more than a month. He was lightly stroking my hair and with each stroke, it sent a tingling down my spine.

Very slowly, I closed my eyes, in such a relaxed state.

And then I was sleeping.

A/N So, another chapter out. This one is a long one, with over 5500 words, kinda to compensate for the shortness of the other chapters. Any feedback is welcome in the reviews, or in PMs. That's all for now.
