Since Voldemort's defeat, first years (with permission) can go to Hogsmeade.

Cuz I said so.

"Aw! I bet our letters won't make it there and back soon..."

"Yeah, we'll probably have to wait until next weekend. Whaddya wanna do?"

"I don't know."

Mira squinted one eye shut, tilting her head to look at the domino tower as she carefully placed another on top.

They had to be extremely careful, especially since the tower was already so tall.

"Got it!"

Harry picked up a domino, balancing it upright, and nudging it slowly into place.

"We're done!"

They admired their work, a three-foot-tall tower of dominos.

"I'm bored."

Winter walked over and whacked the tower with her paw.

"Winter!" Alex yelped as the tower fell down, the kitten never sparing him a second glance.

"I wanna sleep."

"No."

"My goal this weekend is to move only enough so people know I'm not dead."

"This needs to go in your amazing book of quotes."

So, as she said she would, Mira went to sleep...

She was in a dark room when a light suddenly turned on.

"...Hello?"

The doors burst open to reveal a giant dancing cupcake.

"GOOD MORNING!"

"WHAT THE (BEEP!)"

"WHAT THE (BEEP)!"

Alex whirled around, dropping his book on the floor in his haste, "WHAT?"

"I DON'T KNOW!"

...

"Was it the dancing cupcake dream again?"

"I am scarred. For life. I will never eat another cupcake ever again."

"Don't worry. I had the waffle dream yesterday..."

Harry ate his breakfast, chugging down his orange juice.

He took a bite out of his waffle and heard screaming.

He flipped it over carefully...

"HOLY (BEEP!)"

...

"...What?" Alex asked, looked at them.

"It's normal, you wouldn't understand."

"I'm boooorrrreeeedddddd!"

"Rest in peace."

"Why couldn't the computer take its hat off?" Mira asked, letting her head hang over the edge of the obnoxious red Gryffindor couch.

"I dunno."

"Because CAPS LOCK was on." Mira giggled.

"Guys! Let's go to the third-floor corridor!" Harry yelled, suddenly sitting up from where he had been laying on one of the couches.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No. Do you want to die?"

"Do I look suicidal to you?"

"You sound suicidal."

"SHUT UP AND LET ME READ PERCY JACKSON, DAMNIT!"

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee?"

"No." Mira and Alex said in unision.

"I have books to read-"

"Dumbledore gave us a warning for a reason-"

Mira and Alex cut themselves off as they looked at eachother, since they had been speaking at the same time.

Mira gestured for Alex to go, Alex shook his head and waved his hand in Harry's direction, telling Mira to speak.

Their silent conversation continued for a few minutes until Harry got bored and decided to grab Mira's book and throw it at them.

"YOU DIDN'T EVEN LET ME BOOKMARK IT!"

"Let's go exploring!" Mira said.

"Not the third-floor corridor."

"Yeah, I know," Mira said, bookmarking her book and shoving it in her bag, "c'mon!"

After they all left the Gryffindor Common Room, they began their little expedition, hurrying around the school in search of adventure.

When they wandered around the dungeons, Mira ran her hand along the surface of the wall.

Then, she saw it.

A small ruby.

Mira poked it, and the small gem glowed, the wall shaking, dust falling from the ceiling.

"Guys!" She whisper yelled, tugging on Harry's sleeve.

The wall near them slid open, revealing a plain room...

"What the fudge is this?" Mira asked, looking around.

The room had no furniture, only a torch with a red flame.

On the farthest wall from them, there was a hand shaped indent on the wall, clearly meant to be there.

Mira stuck her hand in it, but nothing happened.

Harry and Alex did the same, still nothing.

"I have a stupid idea," Mira said, pulling out a piece of paper and sticking it into the flames.

It didn't burn.

"I have an even stupider idea," Mira said again, putting the paper away and rolling up her sleeves.

She stuck her hand into the fire.

Nothing.

"Well, that settles-" She moved her hand away, but the fire stuck to her.

"Oh. Of course."

"IMMA SEE WHAT THIS DOES," Mira yelled, running from the torch to the indent, slapping it like she was giving the wall a high five.

Harry and Alex watched her silently.

A repeat of what got them there happened again, the wall splitting in half down the middle and either side moving away from the center.

"Well that's darn cool."

In awe, the three entered a large circular room, a chandelier hanging high above from the domed ceiling.

Around them, bookshelves were scattered along the walls of the room and in rows, a desk sitting smack dab in the center.

The room had some odd sort of second floor, a set of stairs reaching up to a floor that looked like a giant flat doughnut, like a circle with the center and outside missing.

Some objects were in display cases, reminding the trio of the rose from Beauty and the Beast.

The ceiling itself was a masterpiece, painted like a huge sky with moving clouds.

The walls, like the ceiling, the walls were painted, but this time in an array of pictures, scenes of lakes, forests, oceans...

Mira ran over to the books first, Alex and Harry still walking around in a daze.

"That settles it," Alex finally said a few minutes later, "Team Potato has officially gone insane."

Team Potato was a name that they had made for themselves.

Alex was Po, Mira was Ta (pronounced TAY), and Harry was To (pronounced TOH.)

It was weird, they were probably high on skittles when they made that.

Skittles made them go crazy, but they still loved the damn things.

"I think we ate one package too many skittles."

"You can never have too many skittles."
