"Wha...what have they done?" Komar stammered as a shadow was cast across the land, the sun nearly disappearing as it was eclipsed not by another celestial body but a massive gathering of shadow energy.
Inside the temple Zelda and Hilda sensed the massive dark energy that suddenly appeared outside, the ground beginning to shake as whatever it was emerged into their world.
"What is this?" Hilda asked.
"It feels so dark and powerful...and it's only getting stronger." Zelda answered
"It's Demise, it has to be." Hilda replied.
"And then some." Zelda said with a nod.
"But we have both my Triforce and yours, we can just wish him away." Hilda answered.
"If we did that who knows how long we'd have to wait to wish our world back." Zelda responded.
"We can't even use one Triforce and then the other?" Hilda inquired.
"I think we're going to need both for this. Bringing back an entire universe is no small task." the Hylian Princess said.
"Then what are we going to do about mega-Demise?" Hilda replied.
"We have to fight, we are Goddesses, Hilda, reborn into mortal form to help the world in times such as this, we not have Ravio and Link or the Master Swords, but we have our Triforces and each other." Zelda began. "We don't have to make a wish, we can draw on their power to ensure our victory."
"Then we'll set things right." Hilda responded.
"That we will." Zelda said.
The Mesa
"Komar!" Aveil called as the warrior ran back into the village. "What's happening?"
"The Demon Queens, they've entered the Sacred Temple and they've brought armageddon." Komar answered.
"You let them into the Temple?" the Head Elder asked as he and the other Elders entered the village square.
"We sent you, our bravest and strongest to stop them." a female Elder said.
"We tried, but by the time we caught them they had already made it to the temple...we didn't think they'd be able to open the doors, no one has done so since ancient times." Komar argued.
"Be that as it may, we must make peace with the Gods...we have no choice." the Head Elder said.
"All of this...it is your God." Hilda called as she entered the village with Zelda, at least two dozen bows and arrows being drawn on them immediately.
"You dare return here and insult the creators this way?" the Head Elder shouted. "Kill them and we may yet stop this!"
"Loose!" Komar yelled.
Hilda and Zelda held up their scepters, stopping the barrage of arrows and spears mid air before letting them drop harmlessly to the ground.
"We don't mean to offend, but we must tell the truth." Zelda said.
"My friend and I, we are from another world...the one you call God...Ganondorf, he destroyed it and made yours in it's place." Hilda said.
"But we survived." Zelda began. "We just want to return our world to existence...and we want you to be part of it."
"This event that's happening, it's because of actions Ganondorf took to destroy our world and create this one, but we can stop it." Hilda said.
"Lies!" the Elders called in unison.
"This is your doing!" an Elder called.
"You're trying to turn us against our Gods so we'll be doomed even before we die." Komar said as he picked up a spear.
"Aveil!" Hilda called.
"Y...yes." the Gerudo woman answered meekly.
"When you encountered us in the forest, what happened?" the Princess continued.
"You drew your weapons on me..." Aveil answered, the crowd narrowing their eyes at the two.
"After that." Zelda said.
"Your dropped them and told me you didn't want to hurt me and believed me to be someone else...I do not know who it was your were expecting, though." the Gerudo woman said.
"What she says is true." Hilda began. "We don't mean you any harm...you see...for your people it's been millenia, but for us it's been hours since our world ceased to exist...we were expecting Ganondorf."
"Please believe us, we are here to help you." Zelda said.
Suddenly a roar pierced the air, eliciting screams and shouts from the villagers, the Princesses turning to find massive shard of obsidian descend from the sky and crash into the ground in the distance.
"What is that?" Aveil asked.
"It's him." Hilda said.
An ear-splitting crack filled the air as the shard was shattered, crimson lightning arcing out from the spot it occupied while black smoke rose into the heavens. All was still for a moment before distant crashes could be heard, the crowd descending into chaos as a massive boar-like beast emerged from the smoke. It stood higher then five Castles stacked upon each other and was covered in ethereal red flames, it's eyes black with red pupils with four grey horns jutting out from it's face.
"That's our cue." Zelda said.
The crowd watched as the two levitated into the air, Hilda and Zelda crying out as a golden aura surged to life around them, projecting a bright white light as far as the eye could see, ethereal wings appearing from their backs and talons under their feet while their eyes adopted the same brilliant gold light.
"That light..." Komar said.
"It feels pure." Aveil replied.
"This could be a trick." the Head Elder said, sounding unsure himself.
Zelda and Hilda took off towards Demise, the merged Demon Kings having twisted and corrupted Ganondorf's physical form beyond recognition. The creature roared, a stream of red fire pouring forth from it's mouth, Hilda and Zelda blocking it with a shield before going to the left and right, the two casting golden lightning from their wings and hands, the monstrous Demise roaring in pain as they arced across it's flesh. Hilda readied another attack when the creature leapt into the air and swatted her down to the ground.
"Hilda!" Zelda called as the creature turned to face her. The Princess let loose and enraged cry as she spread her arms, a massive stream of golden energy tearing away from her and crashing into Demise, the monster grunting as the energy pushed it back when suddenly it roared, sinking it's pitch black claws into the energy wave. Zelda watched as it corrupted her attack, turning it into dark energy and turning it on her. The Princess tried to shield herself, but the attack broke through and she was enveloped by the wave of dark energy, unable to move as it began to tear her apart.
Suddenly Hilda pierced the wave, freeing Zelda.
"I owe you one." the Hylian Princess said.
"We'll talk about that after we get our worlds back." Hilda replied.
Zelda nodded as the two dove at Demise, crafting two enormous lances from light energy, the creature tried to block them but it was too slow, the Princesses impaling it upon their weapons. They tried to channel more energy into their attack when the creature let out another roar, shattering the light lances and reaching out, catching both Princesses in it's claws.
"I have you now." the mutated, dual layered voice of Demise taunted as it began to crush the duo. "I've waited long for the seal on my prison to be removed, watching Ganondorf's pathetic creation grow like a cancer from my prison in the nothingness...but when you removed the Triforces from their pedestal I was free to destroy these mites and wipe this universe clean!" Demise roared as he channeled crimson lightning into his fists, the Princesses crying out. Hilda thought she saw something fly past her, attributing it to Demise's lightning for a moment before another made contact.
Below them the Gerudo had gathering, each armed with a bow, pelting the titanic demon with arrows.
"You are nothing to me!" Demise called as he lifted a hoof to stomp them, but this was the distraction Zelda and Hilda needed, the two channeling their power and forcing themselves to the right, knocking the creature off balance and causing it to crash to the ground, releasing both of them.
"Are you alright, Zelda?" Hilda asked.
"I can still fight." the Princess answered.
Demise roared, a beam of red energy arcing across the sky, Zelda and Hilda narrowly dodging it as the Demon got back to it's feet.
"This is the end for you!" he called as he summoned an enormous sphere of dark energy.
Zelda and Hilda sent a barrage of light arrows at it, but they were no match for the attack.
"We need to lure it away!" Hilda called.
She and Zelda flew upwards, the ball of energy following them until it was only meters below them, both Princesses being knocked from the sky as the dark energy ball detonated, the explosion casting a dark violet glow over the land.
As Hilda and Zelda fell, they managed to stop themselves in mid air and try to recover, only to be swiped by Demise's claw, both crashing into the ground. The Demon began to laugh as it rained dark energy bolts and crimson lightning upon them, the two trying to shield themselves from the barrage.
"It's not going to hold!" Zelda called. Demise leapt over to them, bringing a hoof down on the dome of energy, shattering it like glass before swiping his hand through the air, a blade of energy hitting the ground and enveloping the Princesses in the dark energy infused explosion.
Hilda looked up at Zelda, the blonde Princess barely conscious as their wings and talons began to fade.
"We can't give up...Zelda." Hilda said. "We...we aren't Zelda and Hilda...We're Hylia and..."
"Lorilia." Zelda answered as they forced themselves to their feet.
"Hey!" a shout came.
Zelda and Hilda turned to find Komar running at them in a full sprint, the Lance of Lorilia in hand. "We thought you might need this!"
"Thank you, we are truly grateful." Zelda said as she took the weapon.
"So you believe us now?" Hilda asked.
"That thing...it can't be our God...it spoke of destroying us...wiping our universe away...but you two are trying to save us and your light...we could feel that you weren't the Demons the prophecies claimed you to be." Komar answered.
"Good, now you need to get out of here before he finds us." Hilda said as Demise scoured the forest for them.
"Right, I'll just-" Komar began.
Hilda reached out, placing a hand on his head and teleporting the Gerudo man to safety. "I've got an idea."
"What's that?" Zelda asked.
"If Demise can merge, we can do it too." Hilda answered.
"I've never heard of such a thing before." Zelda said.
"The Golden Goddesses did it to preserve themselves, so it's worth a try." Hilda replied.
"Let's make it fast, he's found us!" Zelda said.
"Right!" Hilda answered as she reached out. The two joined hands, closing their eyes as their bodies were completely overtaking by golden energy, their physical forms dematerializing.
Demise looked down at the Golden glow, a puzzled expression on his monstrous face before he opened his mouth wide, a large blast of dark energy forming in his maw while his horns channeled crimson electricity into it. The Demon King let the blast loose with a roar, smirking as it crashed into the forest floor where the Princesses stood, it's smile starting to vanish as the blast simply stayed their. Suddenly the energy was purified, the sphere turning gold with white lightning arcing over it. Before Demise could react, the blast was redirecting back into him, the Demon screeching in pain as it was knocked to the ground.
The Demon King got back to his feet, looking forward to find itself chest level with the fused form of Zelda and Hilda, the two formed into a massive winged Goddess, skin of gold and clad in pearl white armor, hair glowing gold and violet, the Lance of Lorilia in hand.
Demise let out a confused grunt before taking a step back and roaring, pelting the Goddess with energy blasts, each one having no effect at all. The fused Goddess looked down, her white eyes settling on the Demon King. "How does it feel to be small? To be weak? To be helpless?" the voices of Zelda and Hilda called.
"I am not small! I am the Demon King!" Demise roared as a massive torrent of dark energy accompanied by red flames and crimson lightning tore away from him, enveloping his entire body.
The Goddess folded her wings in front of herself, blocking the blast with ease.
"This is impossible!" Demise snarled as he readied another assault.
"Your time has come to an end!" the voices of Hilda and Zelda called, as the Goddess raised a foot and smashed it into Demise, knocking the creature to the ground. "Your reign of terror is over!" they shouted as they raised the lance.
"No!" Demise roared.
Zelda and Hilda drove it through the Demon King's chest, Demise roaring in a final act of defiance before his arms fell to the ground and his head fell to the side before he went motionless. The Goddess took a step back as the body seemed to burn from the inside out, flames bursting through Demise's flesh as his body collapsed into ash.
Below, the assembled Gerudo looked on in awe as the Goddess spread her wings one last time before disappearing into a brilliant flash of light that swept over the land, repairing all the damage their fight had done.
"This way." Komar said as he lead a team of Gerudo through the underbrush, finally finding Zelda and Hilda kneeling on the ground, both Princesses breathing heavily.
"Are you two alright?" Aveil asked as she ran out from behind Komar.
"We're fine...that was just...strenuous." Hilda answered.
"It was quite the experience, though." Zelda added.
"Are you going to restore your world now?" Aveil asked.
Hilda and Zelda raised their hands, finding the their respective Triforces were still as strong as ever.
"We plan to." Hilda answered.
"We've been meaning to ask..." Aveil said.
"What will happen to us?" Komar completed, the gathered Gerudo looking at the two expectantly.
"We won't let you disappear, we promise that." Zelda said.
"We'll take you with us." Hilda added.
"How do you plan to do that?" the Head Elder asked as he made he made his way to the front of the crowd, narrow eyes set on the Princesses.
"The Triforce." Hilda said, holding up her hand and revealing the assembled Triforce on the back. "It can grant any wish. When I wish your world back, I'll include bringing you and the Mesa with us, so you don't lose your home."
"Does this work for all of you?" Zelda asked.
The crowd looked back and forth, a short murmur breaking out before Aveil made her way out of the crowd.
"After what you just did, we've decided to trust you." she said with a smile.
"Okay then, see you all on the other side." Hilda said as she and Zelda nodded at each other. The Hylian Princess extended her hand, the Triforce glowing on the back of her hand before projecting into the air in front of the two and manifesting before them.
"We wish for Hyrule and Lorule to be restored and for ourselves to go back to the moment before Ganondorf killed the Sages...and to bring the Mesa and it's people from this world back to ours." Zelda said, looking to Hilda before removing her hand from the Triforce, the divine object returning to her before going dormant.
In the blink of an eye the clang of metal meeting metal and flashes of magic met them, soldiers running back and forth.
"Zelda, we're back...they're back! Everything's back!" Hilda exclaimed.
"Don't celebrate just yet." Zelda growled as she looked ahead.
Before them Ganondorf stood, looking around in confusion as a shield was cast over the battlefield by the Sages.
"Take the shot!" Osfala called.
Ravio and Link stood ahead of the Princesses, the Lorulean Hero flipping the Lance of Lorilia over in his grip before charging at Ganondorf, Link making to flank him with the Master Sword.
"Let's go." Hilda said.
Ravio deflected a blast from from Ganondorf with the Lance before lunging forward and driving the Lance at him, the Demon King made to knock it away but found himself nearly unable to, the weapon still skimming his left shoulder, cutting through the armor and actually managing to draw blood.
"What is this?" Ganon thought for a moment before being pelted by light arrows from the Princesses. He growled in pain before raising a shield around himself, Link appearing and trying to fight his way through it with the Master Sword.
"What's happened?" Ganondorf thought to himself as he examined his hands, finding that both Triforces were gone... "NO!" he cried out, his forcefield shattering with a shockwave, knocking Link back a couple paces. "Where are the Triforces?! What have you done?!" he roared.
"They're with us." Zelda and Hilda said as they raised their hands.
"I will force you to return those to me!" Ganondorf snarled.
"When did you...?" Ravio asked.
"How did you...?" Link chimed in.
"It's a long story, we'll fill you in later." Hilda answered.
Link turned back to Ganondorf staring him down. "Without the Triforce it's already over for you."
"We'll see about that." Ganon hissed before teleporting away.
Hilda and Zelda, already knowing where he was going, teleported as well.
The Sages stood in front of the Castle, concentrating as the Hylian army and the undead Gemesaur soldiers battered it in an attempt to bring it down. Suddenly Ganondorf appeared in front of them, his arm outstretched and a blast of dark energy in his palm, leveled at them.
"Time to die." Ganondorf said as he released the blast.
The moment he did so Hilda and Zelda appeared, catching the blast with their scepters and turning it back towards him, hitting the Demon King in the chest and knocking him onto his back.
"This...can't be...I had both Triforces...victory...was mine." he breathed. "I won't let this happen!" he shouted as he leapt to his feet and fired a massive blast of energy at the Princesses, Hilda and Zelda holding it back.
Link and Ravio crested the hill as they fought past a contingent of monsters, looking down to see Hilda and Zelda struggling against Ganondorf.
Link began to sprint towards them only to pause for a moment has Ravio hurled the Lance of Lorilia at Ganondorf.
The Demon King sensed the weapons approach, however, and cut off his attack against Hilda and Zelda to dodge to the side, Hilda summoning the lance to her telekinetically.
"Enough of this!" Ganon roared as he rose into the air while raising a fist. Dark energy swirled around his curled fingers and formed into a fire like aura, with a roar he quickly descended to the ground, smashing his fist into the earth, sending a shockwave throughout the battlefield, that, when it reached the forcefield, shattered it like glass.
Zelda and Hilda looked back as the Sages collapsed from the effort of trying to hold off Ganondorf's attack, but even without the Triforces, he was a force to be reckoned with.
Link, Ravio, Hilda and Zelda looked on as the Hylian Forces and undead Gemesaur Soldiers rushed in...only for the Hylian Forces to turn on the Gemesaur Soldiers immediately. Ganondorf's forces were being overrun as even the Lorulean Gerudo turned on their former Master.
"How can this be?" Ganondorf growled.
"All it took was seeing their Prince alive but not too well after being imprisoned by you to make them realize you did not have their best interests in mind." Yuga said as he stalked towards Ganondorf, a group of Gerudo archers behind him.
"Yuga!" Hilda called.
"Your Grace." the Sorcerer said with a nod.
"It's good to see you again." Hilda said, Yuga giving a small smile in return.
"I hate to interrupt this moment." Ganondorf said. "But this isn't over yet." the Demon King clapped his hands twice, all eyes turning towards the hill as a line of the massive Golden armored Knights Ganon had deployed made their way over it.
"Now we have those contend with?" the Captain said in disbelief.
Suddenly more footfalls echoed, even Ganondorf looking confused at the sudden sound.
One of the Knights nearly fell backwards as someone leapt onto it's back, the massive figure attempting to reach the individual he plunged a spear through the gap between it's helmet and backplate, the Knight falling over to reveal Komar crouching on it's back.
"Attack!" he shouted, the other Gerudo from the Mesa charging forward and overwhelming the Knights Ganon summoned.
"Who are they?" Yuga asked.
"We'll tell you later." Hilda said.
"I'm too close to lose!" Ganondorf roared as he flew forward charging his fist with dark energy.
Hilda and Zelda blocked it with ease, knocking the Demon King back. He made to attack once more only for Ravio to intercept him. Ganondorf summoned a sword, blocking Ravio's strike with the Lance. Ganon attempted a downward slash but was quickly blocked by Link as the Hylian Hero darted in.
"Come on, let's not make them do this on their own." Osfala said, the Sages nodding along with him.
Ganondorf turned towards Link when a bright light composed of all the Sage's energies struck him. The Demon King struggled against it, almost managing to to free himself when Yuga joined in, directing a beam of energy from his staff directly into the Demon King. Hilda and Zelda raised their hands, channeling their divine energy towards the Demon King while even Yuga's archers joined in, loosing their arrows at the already weakened Ganondorf.
"No...this can't be...how it ends!" Ganon shouted as he struggled against the assault. He called upon his desperation tactic, his body attempting to transform into the towering boar-like beast he usually took the form of.
"Ravio! Go now!" Hilda called.
The Lorulean Hero eyed Ganondorf, watching as his body twisted and deformed in front of him, their crimson eyes meeting for a moment. "This is for the Captain, this is for the people you sacrificed to summon Demise, this is for the all the pain and all the suffering you've caused!" Ravio roared as he charged forward, raising the Lance and with one final cry of rage drove it into Ganondorf's chest.
The Sages, the Princesses and Yuga cut off their attack as everything went still for a moment. Ravio breathed heavily as he pulled the Lance from Ganondorf's chest.
"I'm...the Demon King..." Ganondorf breathed before taking his last breath and collapsing to the ground, the monster army he summoned scattering and the Golden Knights collapsing into dust.
"Ha, look at him now, just a crumpled heap on in the dirt." Yuga laughed.
"Princess Hilda!" a call came from over the hill, the Captain, followed by a few Lorulean Knights called as he ran over. "Goddesses, it's good to see all of you are fine...we watched you slay him...I don't think I've ever been so relieved in my-"
Suddenly Ganondorf's body was incinerated by crimson flames, a torrent of fire appearing in it's place, two yellow eyes appearing within it. "Ganondorf's body served as a shield, I still persist." Demise's voice boomed. "I will take what is mine and burn this world to ash."
"No!" Ravio said, only for a bolt of lightning to fly from the column of demonic flame and strike him in the chest.
The Sages took a step back as it's eyes rotated towards them.
"Protect Ryla!" Hilda shouted.
The other Sages formed a line in front of her, what could be described as laughter emanating from Demise's ethereal form.
"Give it everything you've got!" Rosso yelled as the Sages unleashed their combined power at Demise, his non-corporeal form managing to push through.
"Hilda, it's time." Zelda said.
"Agreed, it has to be done." the Lorulean Princess said.
Hilda held out her hand, the completed Lorulean Triforce emerging from it, the Golden light filling the field around them.
"No!" Demise roared as he turned away from the Sages and flew towards them.
Link helped Ravio to his feet as the two Heroes position themselves in front of the Princesses when Yuga leapt behind them.
"Don't think I'm going to let you two hog all the the glory." he said, looking over towards Ravio, the two exchanging a small smile for the first time.
All three buckled as Demise crashed into them, trying to force his way through, but they withstood him.
Zelda and Hilda hastily placed their hands on the Triforce, nodding their heads forward before speaking in unison.
"We wish for the complete destruction of Demise and Ganondorf from all of reality and for a permanent end to the suffering they inflict.!" the Princesses cried out before removing their hands from the Triforce.
Suddenly a beam of light shot from it, the Heroes and Yuga leaping to the side before it struck Demise, the Demon King crying out as his form exploded in a golden flash of light.
The Great Sea
Link parried another Slash from Ganondorf as Tetra launched another light arrow, King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule watching from the side.
The Hero dodged another attack from Ganon before landing a slash,
the Demon King cried out before falling to one knee, watching as a golden light started to surround him. "What...what is this?" he stammered.
Link made to capitalize on the opportunity when suddenly Ganondorf cried out once more, his body disappearing in a golden flash.
"But that wasn't a fatal blow." the King said.
"Where did he go then?" Tetra asked.
Outside the Ruins of Ganondorf's Tower
Link dropped the Biggoron Sword as Ganon collapsed, the ring of flames dying and allowing him to run through it.
"Quickly!" Zelda called.
Link placed his hand on the hilt of the blade when suddenly Ganon loosed a horrific howl, both the Hero and Princess watching as he vanished in a golden burst of energy.
Hyrule Field
Link pushed back against Ganondorf, it was the last stage of their fight and he knew, he'd see to it the Demon King paid for what he did to Midna."
Link shoved the Gerudo Sorcerer away before performing a Helm Splitter, Ganon trying to dodge it only to freeze, Link's blade passing through him as his form became transparent.
"What have you done to me?" Ganondorf breathed, Link and Zelda watching silently as he dematerialized into small golden particles.
Ganon's Tower
"Sages, Zelda...I'm sorry." Link whispered as Ganondorf hovered over him, cape flowing.
"So ends the Hero of Hyrule." the Demon King said as he prepared one last energy blast.
Link raised an eyebrow when the energy blast suddenly faded away, Ganondorf looking at his hand in a perplexed manner before looking back at Link. "What's happening to-" he said, suddenly going silent as he seemingly dissolved in a golden flash.
All over the multiverse, throughout all timelines, Ganondorfs and Demise's ceased to exist in front of many different Links and Zeldas, each and every Hero and Princess seeing one thing in the flash, a Golden-haired Princess and a violet-haired Princess standing together.
oOo
Two Weeks Later
Ravio looked up as workers traversed the scaffolding set up around the Castle, after Ganondorf's many assaults the damage had become quite severe.
"General Ravio!" the Captain called as he ran up to meet the Hero. "We have news."
"What kind of news?" Ravio asked.
"We've managed to capture Ghirahim, he was hiding right where you said he'd be." the Captain answered.
"Well, let's see him then." Ravio answered.
"This way." the Captain directed.
The Hero walked into the room, Hilda, Zelda, Link and Yuga already being there. "I see we're all glad they found our old friend."
"In one shape or another." Hilda said.
Ravio tilted his head inquisitively before making his way over, before them lay Ghirahim in his sword form, all the color it once had being sapped from it. "Is he..?"
"Gone, and good riddance to him, damned fool thought himself more beautiful than me." Yuga said angrily.
"How did this happen?" Ravio asked.
"I was able to link my mind with what little was left of his." Zelda began. "It would seem he took his own life."
"Ghirahim was a fanatic, Demise wasn't just his Master, but his creator and his God, when he felt him die, I'd reason that he didn't feel like going on." Link explained.
"Well, as strange as it may be, it's one thing we can check off our 'Worry List'." Hilda said.
"Have you managed to reign in your armies?" Ravio asked.
"Even though he was under Ganondorf's thrall at the time, the Captain's words still rang true with some of our citizens. Most of our troops are loyal, but there are still some who we may have to deal with in the future." Zelda answered.
"We were worried our whole land turned against us, but when they saw us fighting Ganondorf, most of our Soldiers couldn't help but realize the Captain was on the wrong side of things." Link answered. "Thank the Goddesses we managed to get Ganondorf's spell out of his head."
"I've been wondering, what of the Gerudo?" Zelda asked.
"As Envoy to the Gerudo, I think you're the most qualified to answer that." Hilda said, looking back at Yuga."
"Ah, of course." the Sorcerer answered. "My father has accepted the Chief Elder's offer to share the Mesa's lands with them as a safe home for all of the Gerudo."
Hilda nodded, her smile slowly fading.
"You miss her, don't you?" Ravio asked.
"Yes." Hilda said. During her time with Ryla, she had come to think of the young girl as a little sister of sorts, Hilda showing her how to use her abilities and helping her feel secure with her own power. "She has her parents back and she's better off with her people, besides, should trouble ever rear it's head they'll need a protector like her."
In the days since the battle Ryla and Gulley had gone home with their parents, but not without rewards for the service to both Lorule and Hyrule, the other Sages staying on as Ministers for the newly formed Council of the Twin Kingdoms, as they had come to call it.
Link, Zelda, Hilda, Ravio and Yuga exited onto the roof of the Castle. Maybe it was their wish, Ganondorf's destruction or perhaps even a gift from the Goddesses, but the connection between Hyrule and Lorule had stabilized, the two Kingdoms linked forever in the same world, the five watching as the sun began to set over Lorule and Hyrule.
"I'm looking forward to this." Ravio said.
"What is is 'this'?" Hilda asked.
"Everything." Ravio said, Hilda giving him a smile before laying her head on his shoulder, Link, Zelda and even Yuga grinning, for when the sun came up that next morning, it would show upon a new and prosperous world, the new flag with the combined coat of arms for Hyrule and Lorule flying above it.
The End
And there it is, Darkness Rising is at and end, I published this story almost five years ago exactly and it's hard to believe it's been that long. I'll miss this story but all things must eventually come to an end.
Before I go on, I'd like to extend a special thank you to LoruleanHeart, her story and love of all things Lorulean really made an impact on me and inspired me to write my own 'A Link Between Worlds' story. She recently completed her own story, "The Legend of Hilda: Her Wish" which you should really check out!
Reviews
LoruleanHeart: I'm glad you liked the chapter! I'd been envisioning it for three months before I actually got the opportunity to write it out! The whole Demon Queens thing was just a little jab Ganondorf included in the Mesa's mythology due to his ongoing conflict with them, I don't know why, but I could see him doing someone kind of petty like that. Hilda and Zelda were very concerned for them, because with Ganon's victory came a whole new world of living, breathing, thinking and feeling people that would disappear if they were to just revert the world to how it was, something which was out of the question for them. I really hoped you liked the conclusion, it was fun to write and I tried to add in a few epic moments here and there! Thanks for reviewing and thanks for reading!
Another thanks to all of you who have hit follow and favorite on this story and joined me along the way! It's been a real journey I'm glad you were all here for it!
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the final chapter!
