Hi, trying to make it up with you, with a double update ^^. this chapter will start some days after the previous one. Lena will put more attention to her family. We will see the arrival of some new villains, just like in season 4 of the tv show. I'll not do everything exactly the same way, but even then, I hope you like it... see u soon!

*** Lena narrative (voice-over) ***

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and, hate leads to...

TV news. - "Another brawl happened yesterday when aliens tried to manifest, demanding to be recognized as citizens..."

(Pictures of people fighting, cars on fire)

Reporter. - "The president is trying to put in place a new amnesty to deal with all the aliens that are now on our planet. The senators are supposed to vote about it this week, so, we can expect more alterations on the streets, till the voting is done. The anti-alien movement is getting stronger than ever..."

Lena was serving cereal to little Clarke when the news start to show an anti-alien meeting, and, how an old man takes control of the mike to speak his mind...

Mr. Lockwood says on TV. - "They come from out the space, they take our jobs, they take our culture, they hurt us..." (He shows images of Reigh, and, the Daxamite invasion) "A wave of destruction! That's what they are!"

People yell on TV. - "Yeah!"

On TV, his son, Ben Lockwood says. - "Dad, please, let's go, we should..."

Mr. Lockwood pushes his son away, and, says to the crowd. - "We should do something to get free of those aliens!"

People yell on TV. - "Yeah!"

The crowd is encouraging him to keep talking, and, Ben decides to let him speak his mind. Maybe with this, he will stop being so angry all the time, that's what he wants to believe...

Mr. Lockwood says on TV. - "We don't need them! We don't need them to be our heroes!" (He shows pictures of Supergirl, of Superman, and, all the destruction that happens when they fight when he says) "We don't need them to fight our battles, destroying our cities!"

People yell on TV. - "Yeah!"

If humanity didn't need Supergirl, Lena would be the happiest person in the world because that would mean that Kara could be just Kara, and, she would be safe at home, not taking any unnecessary risk as Supergirl...

Mr. Lockwood says on TV. - "We can protect us, ourselves! We don't need Supergirl!"

Lena mumbles. - "Believe me, no one more than I wish that was true..."

Kara approaches with Alec and little Lizzy on her arms when she asks. - "Did you say something, Lee?"

Lena. - "Just that breakfast is ready..."

Kara smiles, she kisses Lena's cheek, and, puts the kids in place. The Super and the kids, they all look at the food like hungry puppies, sparking in the face of food. And, Lena chuckles with such a view, it's in time like these that there's no doubt that the kids have Kara's DNA...

Little Clarke was finishing her cereal when she gets curious to see what the TV is showing up, and, she couldn't have chosen a worse moment to watch the TV because the news show how a gang of angry humans, driven by Mr. Lockwood speech, throw stones in a family of aliens... kids like her get hurt...

Mr. Lockwood says on TV. - "We'll root out the invaders! None alien will be safe!"

Ben Lockwood believes that this is getting out of control, so, he pulls down the mike, and, drags his father out of the meeting...

Clarke sadly pouts. - "Mommy... I'm scared..."

Lena rushes to hug her daughter, and, says. - "Oh, sweetie, you've no reason to be scared..." (Clarke grips hard on Lena's embrace, and, the CEO strokes her hair while she says) "You're safe, nothing bad will happen to you, you don't have any reason to be scared, okay?"

Little Clarke wants to believe that's true, but, she can't stop her fears, so, she just hugs Lena from the neck, burying her face against Lena's neck while she cries, scared...

Lena. - "Clarke..."

Clarke cries. - "I don't wanna play outside, mommy! I'm scared!"

Little Clarke starts to cry, and, her little siblings cry too when they watch her cry...

Kara. - "Please, don't cry, it's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay..."

The blonde takes the remote, and, changes the channel to some cartoons, but, the damage is done, their kids look scared, and with it, Mr. Lockwood just got the worst enemy he could ever make: Lena Luthor, in mode 'mamma bear'...

(Another day, at L-Corp)

Lena was passing through the lobby when she hears someone calling her...

Ben Lockwood. - "Ms. Luthor! Ms. Luthor! A word, please!"

Lena looks at him from the corner of her eyes. She knows that he hasn't done anything wrong, at least not yet, but, she can't help it, but get really mad because somehow he's linked to the man who made Clarke cry, and, get scared of the world... of their world...

Ben Lockwood stands in front of her, and, says. - "Ms. Luthor, I..."

Lena. - "I've no time to waste, Mr...?"

Ben stretches his hand, and, says. - "Mr. Lockwood... Ben Lockwood..."

The CEO doesn't shake his hand, she bares her teeth just hearing his last name. Lena recalls the statement of Ben's father on TV, filled with hate, and, how that hate scared her little Clarke. Seeing that fear in the eyes of her kid, it brings the worst in Lena, because if there's something Lena can't tolerate, it's to see her kids scared, crying. And, whoever dares to make them feel like that, they should pay for it... and, that's why...

Ben. - "You are shooting us down. Ms. Luthor..."

Lena pretends like if she has no idea of what he's talking about, and, says. - "I have no idea of what you're talking about Mr. Lockwood..."

Ben. - "I'm sorry to ambush you like this, but, for years, my Dad's company, Lockwood Steel has been a loyal supplier to this company. You're our biggest customer, without you, my father will have no choice but, to shoot down the plant..."

A tiny smile of satisfaction appears in Lena's lips, and, Ben notices it, making him a little angry...

Lena. - "Look, Mr. Lockwood..."

Ben. - "Please, call me Ben. Mr. Lockwood is my Dad, and, I..."

Lena says with a cold voice. - "You're making me lose my time, the contract came to an end. I didn't see any reason to renew it, and, that's it. That's how business works..."

The CEO tries to walk away, but, the man stands in front of her, once again, blocking her. Lena takes deep breaths, trying to control her temper...

Ben. - "Please, just listen to me..."

Lena. - "I don't need to hear anything! The decision has been made, there's nothing to do! End of the history!"

Ben. - "Please, this Manufacture is all that my Dad has... losing it, it will kill him..."

Lena. - "It's not my problem. Your father is abusinessman, if he doesn't want to be left behind, he should modernize his plant. Nth metal is the future..."

Ben. - "Modernize the plan cost millions of dollars! We can't afford that!"

Lena smirks. - "And again, not my problem..."

The CEO walks away with a big smirk, leaving behind a very upset Ben.

*** Lena's narrative (voice-over) ***

The lack of kindness can change it everything. Being cruel has consequences, even if we don't get to see them immediately, the fallout of our actions always reach us... when we least expect it...

(At home)

Kara arches, screaming the name of the woman who's making her touch the sky for the 5th time in a row...

Lena mumbles while she kisses the sweaty neck of the blonde. - "Say my name, darling, say my name..."

Kara. - "Lena..." (moans) "Lena..."

It's so sexy, so empowering to hear Kara saying her name like that. The blonde melt with every touch, with every kiss that Lena softly puts over her skin. And, in a mix of desire and love, they tangle their bodies over and over , every morning, every night till...

(A few days later)

Kara happily exclaims. - "I'm pregnant!"

Lena smiles, she smiles even more when her dear wife throws herself over her...

Kara hugs Lena and says. - "Lee! We're gonna have another baby!"

Lena feels happy, really happy, but, when she looks at the news, when she sees how the anti-alien movement is increasing, she can't avoid it, but, feel scared of what could come next to her family. Lena is worried, and, Kara can't notice it, but, someone else can...

(At Jail)

Lillian. - "You're worried about something..."

Lena tries to ignore it, and, she moves her chess piece. - "I don't know what you're talking about..."

Lillian smirks. - "Please..." (it's her turn to play, and, says) "Your mind is so over the place that you just let me win for the 2nd time in a row..." (big smirk) "Checkmate..."

Lena bites her inner cheeks. She hates to lose, but, she hates it more when her mother is right...

Lillian. - "So tell me, what is in your mind?"

Lena. - "Do you really care about what is overwhelming me?"

Lillian starts to prepare the chessboard for another game when she says. - "To be honest, I'm more concerned that your recklessness will hurt my little heirs..."

Lena helps her to put the pieces in place, and, says. - "My kids are not your little heirs, mother..."

Lillian. - "I agree to disagree..."

Lena hums, but, also smiles too. She can't admit it, but, it makes her happy to know that Lillian considers her kids as part of their family...

Lillian. - "Let's start again. And, if I win again, you'll not have another choice, but, to admit that you've something occupying your mind..."

Lena makes the 1st move, and, says. - "People can lose 3th times in a row..."

Lillian makes her move, and, says. - "People... ordinary people, but, not you..."

Lena smiles, she takes Lillian comment as a compliment, and, she wasn't wrong. Lillian might never say it out loud, but, if there's something she's proud, it's Lena's intelligence...

Lillian smirks. - "Checkmate..."

Lena. - "What?! How?! We just started the game, and, I..."

Lillian. - "You better start to talk..."

The CEO deeply exhales, she hesitates about sharing any kind of information with her mother, but...

Lena. - "Kara is pregnant, again..."

Lillian tries to hide it, but, her lips lift up, and, a big smile appears on her face...

Lillian smiles. - "Another little heir..."

Lena. - "They are not..." ((sighs) "It doesn't matter... the point is that I'm worried. I don't know if you know what is happening outside these walls but..."

Lillian. - "People is showing more and more hate against the aliens..."

Lena nods, she wonders how is that her mother knows what is happening outside, she's thinking the worse till...

Lillian. - "They let us read the newspapers, in here, Lena. So, stop overthinking about everything I do, or say, or you'll get expression lines in your front..."

Lena touches her front-head, and, mumbles. - "I'll not..."

Lillian. - "Hmmm..."

They decide to store the game in silence till...

Lillian. - "No one will dare to put a finger over your kids, Lena... stop worrying..."

Lena. - "How can you be so sure about that...?"

Lillian looks at her in the eyes, and, says. - "Because you'll not let them... Supergirl, and, her family will not let them... I will not let anyone touch those kids..."

Lena can't help it, but, to smile when Lillian includes herself between all the people who could protect her kids from this wave of hate that's rising...

Lena. - "If we could vanish the gap between humans and aliens. Maybe, this wave of hate would vanish..."

Lillian raises an eyebrow, and, says. - "And, how do you propose to close that gap between aliens & humans...?"

Lena doesn't say a word, but, it's written all over her face that she has something in motion... something big. And, that's why, after Lena's visit, Lillian arranges another meeting with...

Alex. - "What do you want?"

Lillian. - "Always so sweet to talk with you, Agent Danvers..."

Alex doesn't say another word, she just sits in front of Lillian, very intrigued to understand why she's here. She doesn't know how is that Lillian got her personal number, or, why she called her till..

Lillian says. - "You need to keep an eye on my daughter, Lena..."

Alex frowns. - "What? Why?"

Lillian. - "The worst things in this world have been done with the best intentions. And, I must admit that I didn't do a great job in teaching my kids about being prudent..."

Alex. - "I don't follow what you're trying to say..."

Lillian. - "We, the Luthor, we have a God complex. We believe we know better than the rest of the world, that we know what is better for others. We act without really think of the fallout of our actions. And, that's why you need to make sure that Lena doesn't make something reckless that can put my grandkids in danger..."

Alex. - "Do you really care about what could happen to them?"

Lillian doesn't reply, she just looks at the handmade bracelet she got from little Clarke last Xmas. It was just a piece of metal that little Clarke bent for her...

*** Flashback ***

Lillian. - "Why is she crying...?"

Little Clarke is curling on Lena's lap, crying without stop...

Kara. - "She's sad because they took out the gifts we brought you... the guards said that you're not allowed to have those things..."

Lillian nods, still not understanding why the kid looks so upset about it...

Clarke sobs. - "They took grandma's gifts!"

Lena rubs Clarke's back in circles, and, says. - "Clarke, it's gonna be okay. My mother doesn't care if she doesn't receive any gift for Xmas..."

Lillian. - "I never said that..."

Clarke cries louder. And, Lena stares at her mother with an eyebrow raised...

Lena. - "Mother... please..."

Lillian avoids eye-contact with Lena, but, she can't avoid feeling bad when she keeps hearing the little blonde crying...

Lillian. - "Clarke..."

The blonde turns her head towards the old woman, tears blurring her beautiful blue eyes...

Lillian. - "You can bring me a drawing, or, something else the next time you come..."

Clarke. - "But, it will not be Xmas..." (She pouts) "In Xmas, you've to get a gift!"

The little blonde is not going to let it go. That's why she looks around, trying to see what she can make with what is around. A fork catches her eye, and, she breaks it from the neck, tearing away everything except the handle...

Lena. - "Clarke! What are you doing?!"

Lillian is also intriguing. Especially when the little kid whispers something to Kara, making her smile...

Lena. - "Kara...? What did she say to you?"

Kara doesn't reply, she just takes the piece of handle between her hands, and, without anyone seeing, she uses her heat vision to write something in it...

Lillian frowns. - "What are you doing?"

Kara uses her cold breath to change the hot temperature of the metal, and, gives it back to the little one. Clarke smiles, and, jumps to sit beside Lillian, she leans over Lillian's arm, bending the handle of the fork around her wrist...

Lillian reads what Kara wrote with her heat vision. - "Clarke loves U " (She looks at the smiling kid, and, asks) "You love me?"

Clarke nods without a stop, she hugs her very tight... maybe too tight...

Lillian. - "Ouch!"

Kara. - "Clarke!" (She tries to push the little kid away, and, says) "Sorry, she's still learning to control her powers..."

Lillian gets free of the embrace, and, she can breath again. Clarke mumbles a 'sorry', she didn't mean to hurt her, she sadly pouts till Lillian leans forwards, and now, she's the one who hugs her...

Lena mumbles, surprised. - "Mother...?"

Lillian whispers into Clarke's ear. - "I care about you, too... my little heir..."

Clarke smiles, and, that smile is one of the best memories that Lillian will always have from that Xmas' eve...

*** End of the flashback ***

Under the memory of how she got the handmade bracelet she is wearing, Lillian gets lost in her thoughts till...

Alex. - "Lillian... Lillian... LILLIAN!"

Lillian looks up, at the Agent, and, says. - "I apologize, I got lost in my memories..."

Alex. - "It's fine... but, you haven't answered my question..."

Lillian maps, the words that are engraved on the handmade bracelet, with her fingers, and, says. - "I care about them... I care about little Clarke..."

The DEO agent smiles, she can see that Lillian is being sincere, maybe for the 1st time in her life...

Alex. - "Can I ask: Why me?"

Lillian. - "Because I believe that you're the only one capable to do something without letting your feelings interfere with the major good..."

Alex. - "I would never hurt Lena, if that's what you expect from me..."

Lillian. - "I'm not looking to see Lena, getting hurt, but, I just hope you'll be able to stop her without having second thoughts if you see it necessary... I can't say the same about the girl of steel. That Kriptonian is so in love with my child, that, I'm pretty sure that Supergirl is incapable to do something against Lena, even if that means to put this world at risk..."

Love is blind, and, Alex knows that...

Alex. - "What is Lena up to?"

Lillian. - "I don't know. But, whatever it's, I'm afraid that it will not bring anything good..."

Alex deeply exhales, the cop says that the time of the visit is over, so, Lillian stands up, ready to go back to her cell, but, before she leaves...

Lillian. - "Please, protect those kids... protect my little Clarke..."

Alex never thought she would live enough to see the day when Lillian would express any feeling towards Kara's family. But, she was wrong, people can change... even if, sometimes not for the best...

(At the cemetery)

Ben angrily cries. - "My father didn't have to die like that..."

At the distance a black car was parked, near him. People watching him...

Mercy. - "He's pathetic..."

Lex Luthor smiles. - "He's perfect..."

*** Lena's narrative (voice-over) ***

Villains don't just happen. They are made. By hate, by pain, by wicked men who wants nothing more, but, to watch our world burn... to watch my world burn...
