Chapter 25:

And with that two nurses came in to get Liv and take her for a few tests, I look over at Victoria who is playing cards with Abbie at the moment. Everything is pretty great right now. Now we just need to focus on Olivia getting better.

OLIVIA POV:

As the nurses wheeled me out of the room I gave a look to Elliot. My eyes conveyed what I wanted to say, Keep my family safe Elliot. He nods to me as I am taken out of the room. Every time I lose sight of Alex and Victoria I get anxious. I know that nothing will happen to them but I can't help but think of what could. I feel since I have been injured I've been backed into a corner. I just don't know what to say anyone. I know that they told me that what happened wasn't my fault but at the end of the day if I didn't get injured we would've been home a lot earlier than today. Logically it makes sense but at the same time I just hold onto guilt that I could let go of.

The beeping from these machines are getting on my nerves more and more since I am going home soon.

ALEX POV:

She's been gone for quite some time and when that happens my heart becomes so heavy. I know that we are in a hospital and if anything happens to be wrong then we are at the right place for things to get better. We've been here for what seems like forever but I just can't wait to take my family home. I know that we are all going to feel a lot better when we are in the safety of our own home. And honestly I can just tell that Victoria hasn't been able to relax since we have been here. At the same time being here is just as safe as being at home. She does seem to be doing better with her flashbacks though.

As they bring her back into the room in a wheelchair I can tell she passed her tests. And by the look on her face she has been antagonizing the nurses again. She looks up at me with the signature Benson smile and I smile back. It wasn't until I hear Abbie's voice does she break the moment between Olivia and I.

"Yes we get it. You two are in live. What's the wrong Benson?"

"Well -Killer they are going to get me set up in a brace and everything and then release into the care of my wonderful girlfriend and whatever you want to call yourself."

"Well that's good and for you information Butchy McFabulous I would say I'm like the oracle of this triangle of friendship. Plus your daughter has taken a liking to me."

That is when I chimed in. "Well she should because although you are a royal pain in the ass we all know to comes from a place of concern."

"Well thank you sweet cheeks but you can get used to it because I plan on speaking to Liz about coming back to the DA's office. I miss my family and the chicks are way hotter up here than in the city of Brotherly Love."

"Oh good for us. We get to listen to you a lot more than we have been for the last 3 years. Won't that mean you have to resign as a Federal Attorney. I thought you enjoy playing in the big leagues."

"Well the boys have been fun but I will always want to score with my original G-men. Plus you miss having me around the courthouse. I make things interesting. And maybe I can work for SVU which will give you and your family more time bonding and working through things if you need to."

"That's awfully nice of you Abby but there has to be an ulterior motive."

"Yes I get to hang around and annoy my favorite people on the earth everyday."

"I could get used to that." Olivia said sincerely with a smile.

Abby just laughs and says, "Don't go all sentimental on me right now Benson,"

At that moment a nurse came in and said to Olivia, "Detective Bensons we have the brace and if you are ready we can show your girlfriend how to put it on. Considering that you have a wound in your lower abdomen you will need assistance doing most things."

Her face fell, "Great now I'm an invalid."

I look at her with stern eyes, " Hey, you've been injured before. This isn't anything new to us Liv."

"I know but I hate having to rely on other people for things I should be able to do on my own."

"Don't we all detective." Abbie said sincerely.

After they showed me how to put on her brace and get it off without her feeling too much pain we are sitting here waiting for the discharge paperwork. I look over towards the window where I see Victoria looking out into the skyline of New York. Her brow is furrowed and she looks worried. So after I lay a kiss to Olivia's forehead I say, "I am going to go talk to Victoria really quick."

"Okay I love you Al."

"I love you too LIv."

I walked over and leaned against the wall. I stay silent and wait for her to sense my presence. After a few seconds her beautiful brown eyes met mine. "Hey"

"Hey love, something on your mind?"

"A lot."

"If you want to talk about it, I am all ears."

"Really?"

"Of course."

OLIVIA POV:

The nurse came in with my prescriptions and my discharge papers. Alex didn't even notice her come in, she seems to be in deep conversation with Victoria. And it hit me this is my moment.

"Abbie can you come here?"

"Yea Benson."

Abbie walks over to me and sits down in the chair that a short while ago was occupied by Alex.

"I need your help."

"Oh boy what can I help you with?"

"Let's wait for me to get in the house. But I need your help planning something, and fast."

"Alright Detective Mysterious."

I say in a soft voice, "Alex. Victoria. We got the papers we can leave whenever we're ready."

Victoria smiled at me and said, "Let's get out of here. Let's go home mom."

ABBIE POV:

Why is Olivia being so elusive? And why does she want this to happen fast? I hope it's nothing dangerous.
