The sun wasn't due to rise for a while when the kids arrived at the Kaze Mori base.
"This is the place we delivered yer parents to," Captain Tekashi said weakly.
"Thank you for your assistance Captain, . . . Strom and Liam tie him up with the rest of his guild. The rest of you do a quick perimeter check," Nashi ordered.
The team did as told and quickly. When they all came back everything was in order. No one was on the outside of the base or surrounding them and the Shrieking Skull guild was all tied up.
"Alright guys, this is it. We didn't expect this soon, but we have to adapt. You all know the plan; Naila, Daren, Ichigo, Kiichi, and Larsa; you all will stay outside. Make sure no one in and absolutely no one gets out. The rest of us are going to go inside to find our parents along with the other guilds and kick some ass!" Nashi told everyone passionately.
"What about the twins, their still out like a light? There's no way they'll be much in a fight if their still asleep," Daren speculated.
"Ha, that's what you think!" Hinago grumbled while rising. He and his sister got up off the ground and dusted themselves off.
"You two aren't supposed to even be able to open your eyes till first light. How are you both awake?" Ichigo asked.
"To be honest, I don't really know. I'm still tired as hell but something in my body was telling me to get up, so I did. Don't worry about us though; we'll be fine," Crescent said. Hinago nodded his head in agreement.
"Alright then. Since everything is settled, . . . Let's go get our parents?" Nashi proclaimed turning and walking towards the base. The seven other members of her party followed close behind her and the five staying behind dispersed.
Mikusa was walking through the hall with the Fairy Tail members in it with Yuzuki close behind her.
"Status report Yuzuki. How are yours and your brother's guilds coming along?" Mikusa asked.
"Well regarding my brother's; Sabertooth's member Minerva will be the first to give out and then the rest of her guild will shortly follow. Mermaid Heel and Twilight Ogre are moving slightly slow. As for me; Fairy Tail is moving the fastest, the first that will give out here is Gajeel Redfox and shortly after him, their master Laxus Dreyar. Then the rest will follow. Lamia Scale is moving quite fast along with the Magic Council and groups of the Rune Knights. Blue Pegasus is slightly slow. If things keep moving as they are then we should have everything completed in about, . . ." Yuzuki said before she was interrupted by her brother and someone else.
"Lady Mikusa we have a problem. There are eight individuals approaching the entrance. From the looks of it they seem to be Fairy Tail members!" Yataki stated.
Mikusa looked confused but that look very quickly turned to anger. "Argh! Never send a Skull to do hunt Wolf's prey! Yataki continue as if nothing is wrong and try to pick up the pace!" Mikusa ordered Yataki.
Yataki nodded and ran off; Mikusa continued, "Isora get all the knights except Yukio to the entrance. We'll greet our visitors. Have Yukio go and guard master."
The other person that had ran in with Yataki nodded and ran off the same way Yataki had.
As Mikusa made her way out of the hall to get ready for the battle she heard a chuckle come from Natsu.
"And what's so funny Mr. Dragneel, or has the insanity finally started to kick in?" she asked stopping in her tracks.
"The only one who's insane here is you if you think you're going to be able to take down our kids!" Natsu answered weakly.
"Mr. Dragneel, you underestimate the Nine Color Knights. We have and will crush any obstacle that gets in our way," Mikusa answered.
She started to walk away but was again stopped by Natsu's words.
"It seems you underestimated our kids. They won't go down without one hell of a fight," Natsu said with a grin.
Mikusa stood in the doorway for a second before whispering to herself, "We'll see," and then left.
The kids all stormed into the building, but once they were all inside, they were confused. As they looked around there were no people around.
"Does anyone else have a bad feeling about this? Why aren't there people walking around?" Hinago asked.
"Everyone keep your eyes open; the enemy might be anywhere!" Nashi instructed.
"Well hello, little fairy brats. It seems like you finally found us; no matter how futile it might be." Mikusa said.
The young mages looked around for a second before finding the direction of the voice. In front of and above them on a beam running across the ceiling, there were nine silhouettes posing in darkness. All nine jumped to the beam in front of them and become visible by the light.
"Well since you're here it would be rude of us not to introduce ourselves. We are The Nine Color Knights; I am Mikusa Oshima the black knight and the knight of death. Since you all won't be leaving this building alive, I see no consequences in telling you who we are! Now my friends, please let these children who their killer are going to be," Mikusa said gesturing to the people around her.
A man that looked similar to a beast on the left of Mikusa spoke first.
"Hehe! I'm Taiga Akogawa the red knight and the knight of anger," he smirked. After him, they went in the order of colors.
"My name is Tatsuki Nasano the orange color knight and the knight of annoyance."
"They helpless and yellow knight is me. I am Rinka Kondo."
"The green knight Seo Aoki represents jealousy."
"I am Rukia Aoyama the lonely, I am the blue knight."
"I am Ryuji Miura, the sad knight. My color is violet. And I and the bitter knight Isora Himi. I am the last color in this spectrum, indigo," Isora finished off.
While the Color Knights were introducing themselves the brawl ready heroes lost interest very quickly and there was a slight pause after the knights were done with their introductions.
"Oh, are you all done now, . . . good! We don't give two shits about who you all are or what you represent! We are here to get our parents and the other guilds members back! And if we gotta take all of you down to do that then so be it!" Liam yelled at the knights.
The children all took a fighting stance. They were ready for the knight's first move against them.
"Oh, dear children. You might not care who we are right now but when we hang your dying bodies next to the corpses of your parents, then it will be primitive that you all scREAM OUT OUR NAMES BEGGING FOR MERCY!" Mikusa proclaimed with a crazy look in her eyes.
"If you really think that we'll beg for mercy then you have no idea who you're dealing with. You see we are FAIRY TAIL! We have the; determination, spirit, power, and heart of our parents! And we the Next Generation are going to use all of that to bring you crawling on your knees!" Nashi claimed with a fire in her eyes. Mikusa and Nashi locked eyes and there was a spark of fury between them. Mikusa licked her lips in anticipation.
"Go, pick your plaything, but leave the pink-haired one! She's mine!" Mikusa ordered her knights.
Tatsuki was the first to make his move, he disappeared off the rafters and then reappeared behind Liam.
"Hi, you look like fun to play with and look easy to annoy, I'll pick you!" he said quickly before disappearing again.
Liam whipped around to see who was talking but he was already gone.
"Oh my, you're going to have to be faster than that if you even want to last five minutes in a fight with me!" Tatsuki said reappearing behind Liam again.
He grabbed Liam by the back of the neck and disappeared with him. For just a second Nashi got worried; their plan was falling apart, but she had to have faith that her team would adapt. Suddenly Hakiri started to move forward and twirl around. "What are you doing Hakiri?" Mayri asked.
"I . . . I don't know. I'm not in control of my body," she answered concerned.
"This one looks so helpless; she'll make a fine toy!" Rinka smirked. She jumped down and pulled Hakiri with her down a hallway.
"Hakiri, NO!" Storm yelled; he gritted his teeth and ran towards the remainder of the knights.
As he was about to jump to reach them Storm's vision went completely black and he fell flat on his face.
"What's wrong? Are you jealous because you weren't picked first!" Seo asked jumping from the ledge.
Then all Storm could see was a pathway with a man at the end; not having many other options because he asked hastily Storm ran towards the man. Seo followed Storm as he struggled up the stairs and they both vanished around a corner.
Hinago stepped to chase after Storm but his vision too disappeared, however it was back within a few seconds and he could see his parents standing in front of him.
"Mom, Dad?" Hina questioned.
"What are you doing buddy?" Leo asked his son.
"We're here to rescue you," Hina answered with confusion.
"Rescue is from what honey?" his mother said with a smile.
"Are you guys really okay? I mean everything's fine; you are both safe?" Hinago asked in tears.
"Of course, son there's no need to get emotional; now let's go," Leo said holding out a hand.
"Come on dear, there's no need to cry. Now darling shall we head home," Lilianna smiled while holding out a hand towards her son.
Hinago burst into tears and ran towards his parents. However, he couldn't seem to reach them or get close. The harder he ran the farther they would get. But to Nashi, Crescent, Akrim, and Mayri Hinago just seemed to be running past the stairs down a corridor.
"This one has sadness in his eyes, but not for much longer," Ryuji said blankly following Hina down the corridor.
"HINA NO!" Crescent screamed reaching for her brother.
She took a step forward but when her foot landed it fell through the floor. She tried to catch herself but the floor all around her crumbled and she fell through.
"The bitterness she holds in her heart is so sweet, so I claim this one," Isora said jumping into the hole Crescent feel through.
Only Nashi, Akrim and Mayri, were left. They stood at the ready to face whatever opponent they would receive. In the next instant Mayri was trapped in a bubble of water.
"She'll be a fun toy and she won't be lonely with my other toys either," Rukia whispered while jumping down the hole as well with Mayri's bubble.
Akrim wanted to go after his sister but he also didn't want to instigate a response from the last two knights. If he could stay with Nashi maybe they would be able to salvage a little bit of the plan. However, Akrim's wish was not granted as an explosion came from underneath him. Akrim didn't have enough time to jump out of the way and was thrown into the air. Taiga jumped and caught Akrim by the neck and proceeded to land on another support beam.
"Hehehe; you and I are going to have fun brat! There's no need to be angry, you'll be joining your friends real soon!" Taiga said grinning widely and licking his teeth. He punched a hole through the ceiling with Akrim still in his grasp and disappeared through it.
"Well, well, well. That just leaves the two of us little fairy brat," Mikusa smirked.
"Yes, it does, now I'm gonna show you why you don't mess with the Fairy Tail guild," Nashi exclaimed balling her fist.
"Oh, don't worry little one. I look forward to the show you'll put on but not here. Follow me; our battle will begin, and I will escort you to death's door!" Mikusa proclaimed.
She then jumped to the top of the stairs and made her way down the main corridor. Nashi gritted her teeth but reluctantly followed her. She was going to get her fight no matter where in be.
Each piece was set, and the game has started. Each team member was fighting for their lives, the lives of their parents and the future of Fiore. Now only time would be able to tell if the Fairies would tame the Wolves or if the Wolves would be devouring the Fairies.
