Back to the main pair definitely some small mentions of the other pairings as I would hate to make a relationship for both woman and never dip into there relationships again. Anyways it's the weekend for them and now that they are back they need a bit of family time before getting back into their own hectic lives.

"So your first night back was last night. No wonder you are glowing." Regina teases provoking Ingrid to blush and whack Mal for basically saying they shagged the night before.
"Eww I don't want to know what mother does!" Both Emma and Lily exclaim at the Same time. Causing them to share a laugh while both mothers began to look embarrassed. Henry barely notices all this as he is still buried in his parents arms. Caressing his head in sync to comfort him. Though he believed they would return the fact he was as brave faced as he was about it made the reality of their return that much more emotional for him.
Dinner was a family affair and even with all the distractions the moment that they were all sitting around the living room he was back like this not ready to leave them. This was just fine with them even once he fell asleep both Emma and Regina didn't make to move him as they had their little boy safe and sound.
"We are glad we all made it back safely. As long as my mother doesn't find a way here we should be safe. I refuse to have her catch us off guard though I want more of my guards actively training to be deputies I also want to set up a protection boundary I can use all the help we can get." This was mostly toward Emma and Lily who had magic but not much if any training in spell work. It was nice however to see Morgana determine she had plenty of time and help to offer. Her knowledge of old magic would be more useful than she knew. Regina was going to take lessons from her and hopefully that would make her stronger than her mother for once. They were lucky to not have to face her. If there was a next time they would not be so lucky.
"Shop talk is over ladies." Ingrid said with drinks in her hands. Mal swept over to her help her and give her kiss.
"You knew just what we needed love." Emma reached up and grabbed hers and Regina's it was only then that they each kissed Henry's head and magicked him into the same bed he had the night before. This family was all together and no one was heading home tonight and with plenty of places to sleep there was a unanimous but nonverbal agreement to this.
There was a round of cheers from all the ladies and a wave of liquor to soothe the soul. Morgana who had not had alcohol in over a year was mildly surprised about the flavor of the liquor after which there was a number of attempts to make everyone's favorite mixes just to show her. This how ever didn't keep them from playing adult card games which Regina summoned. Cards against humanity was extremely hilarious as Morgana had to ask Lily what certain things meant an her reactions usually made her card more funny winning her the most hands.
Later when they stood to leave everyone told Lily to have a good night just to see her blush but with the kidding aside they all welcomed Morgana to the family and wished them an honest goodnight. Malifecent said she needed to show Ingrid to their room causing Emma and Regina to cleaning up without keeping them further. The two peaked on Henry to find him sound asleep. After kissing his sweet innocent face lit by the moon they left to find their own room.
Lily walked Morgana to her door, kissed her quickly, and turned to leave. The former was halted by a hand grabbing her arm. Like a little girl being stopped by her prince she turned feeling her heart pounding as she closed her eyes and met her lovers lips once again. Her hand slid free but she was pulled closer by a pair of hands resting a crossed her back.
"Where you going to leave again?"
"Just trying to respect your space and home not inviting myself inside. Besides I still owe you a date before I assume you want to invite me in." Lily grins still floating from their kiss.
"A date? We can just sleep. I've grown to like the way I can rest soundly around you."
"Yeah like take you out give you a special night and show you a romantic evening. It's what we do to court people." The personal sentiment behind that made Morgana so happy she was grinning.
"Sounds sweet I'd love to do a date with you then but I would also rather take you inside tonight. Completely up to you."
"Dont have to tell me twice!" As they enter the home the night closed for the ever growing family. Each duo making the most of the tender moments between evening and morning. Henry of course was the first to wake having rested much earlier. Finding his parents he curled up with them and in the early hours as they didn't want to get up so early.
Eventually two deep rumbles from mother and son made it very clear they were hungry. Regina was surprised by the noise but chuckled at the pair.
"Let's head down stairs and start some breakfast for everyone." Once downstairs they made up eggs and toast. Orange juice was out and even some meds if needed. Shortly after they began cooking Lily came in followed by Morgana who was clearly a bit hungover. She denied the meds but enjoyed the juice.
"I can handle a hangover the old fashioned way." Rubbing her head she asked regina if she had any herbal stuff around.
"Well at home I do or in my vault. What kind?" As she listed them off they came before her not much but enough for a remedy.
"Mm make some for me too wont you." Malificent said as she walked in she ended up having the most drinks last night. Even as part fae that could be a dragon it appeared even she was not immune, resistant but not immune.
"Good morning." A glowing ingrid entered the room and instantly ushered Emma to sit as she took her place to help Regina.
"Mal you said everything was fine around town right?"
"As far as I was concerned Katherine was doing a great job and Ruby well she needed a hand but Lily helped her. So yeah I think if you need to let people know you're back and safe you should but you shouldn't need to rush into work." She told Emma.
"Yeah Gold is waiting but him with no magic he is no worry to make him wait as long as Monday even." Lily adds
"Well Gina I might at least get the paperwork started on sending him somewhere outside of here or something. I dont know where else he can stay not in the cells forever an he cant be trusted in town."
"Actually dear. Belle was placed in an asylum in the hospital. I suggest there but it's up to you. He would be in a cell not that we can't make a special cell block for him an any others at the station."
"Adding a cell block would be great but we'll deal with that later then."
"Great so we can make a family day out of today or tomorrow." Ingrid suggested nobody objected to the idea. Regina and Emma sit at the table with henry as the counter was full once breakfast is finished and they make idle discussions about what to do today until everyone is done eating.
A beach day, Regina hadn't ever had a beach day. She had the suit and all the stuff for one but even when Henry was smaller they never went to the beach for a whole day. From time to time they went for him to play but she was always in some formal clothes and never willing to get to messy. Old habits she intended to break today as she and Emma put on their bathing suits.
Mal had to make one for herself and Morgana who thought she might just wear a thin dress but as soon as she saw Regina's she wanted one too. Ingrid had a suit but never used it kind of just one of those things you have but never had a reason to use. Hers was a little old school so it was spruced up and Henry was obviously ready much sooner than anyone else.
"Women right?" Emma nudged him totally understanding his complete boredom of watching everyone change over and over.
"Ma you barely took any time whats taking them so long!" He groans as they hear Regina running over the list of supplies for the fifth time. His mother laughs and decides to step in and get everyone out the door now. Realizing as they stepped out that there was no cars and that was definitely something that needed to be taken care up before the end of the weekend they magicked to the beach.
Regina set up the shaded shelter as Emma lathered Henry in sunscreen. She personally preferred the spray but Regina knew best. Beside after him she was ready to help Regina. She tried to hide her grin as she turned around. Only for her grin to turn into a frown as she watched Mal running lotion into her shoulders.
"Oi dont you have to help mom?"
"No dear I use spray just a quick spritz and I'm good." Her mother chimes in.
"Snooze you lose." Mal teases jokingly.
"Ugh!" Everyone laughs. As she turns round in a huff. She then feels Regina press up behind her and hears her say.
"Dont worry dear I'll help you if you want." One time she decides just this once she wouldn't use spray. As she nods and goes to hand Regina the lotion she feels a cold sting of the spray sunscreen hit her back making her Yelp and scream.
"Fucking hell!"
"Language dear." Regina says with a wicked grin on her face. Immediately though Emma receives a kiss to relieve the pout from her face. Henry is ready to go and as soon as she air drys she chases him into the water. Though it's a little chilly the sun is there to keep it just warm enough.
Eventually all the rest if the ladies join. Morgana being excited as she was to try it saw the way Emma and Henry swam and told lily she rather not go to far out as she couldn't swim quite as well. Ingrid however was use to the cold and happily sank in and floated on her back letting Mal assist her daughter in teaching Morgana more than just the doggy paddle that she knew.
Regina as unfamiliar as she was to openly have fun and not so formal adjusted well as she played with her son and lover. Splashing water like a once again free and wild child. Hours later everyone sat on the huge beach blanket eating their prepared lunch.
"Emma what should I do around town Lily says there's room for me in many fields?"
"Uh depends on what you like or what you're good at. You was suppose to be queen perhaps Regina could have a better idea."
"Well I wanted to after my brother had his meltdown. I actually dont like to rule over anyone. I love magic and books. Also I once cared deeply for a real dragon. I suppose that doesn't help."
"Well some magic isn't far off from some of the science we have and animals well if you love reading perhaps you should go to school to be a veterinarian. I'm sure we can find some way for you to do that." Regina offers her opinion. "Perhaps look into it."
Lily's brighten at this idea. It was perfect for Morgana a wonderful way for her to learn more about her new home and an perfect job for her if she could get through the schooling.
"We will have to see where you are education wise but that's a great idea hun." She tells her.
"Does Henry know what he wants to do?" She asks before looking at him.
"I wanna be a knight. I can be more than a knight though here I can do a lot. Mom always says I'm super smart so I can do anything."
"Being a knight would be cool but your moms right you can be anything." Emma kisses his head.
"I'd wanna be a writer. I love my once upon a time book and ma you said August is a writer so maybe I can be too."
"Of course you can my prince."
There was hours between lunch and when they went home for dinner. So they re-apply their sunscreen this time however Emma goes to Regina first and let's Emma's hands work their magic. Massing in the lotion and relieving some tension as well.
Regina took care of Henry and as he went off with Ingrid Regina told Emma to turn around. She lathers her hands up and returns the favor to Emma. Her arms wrap around her holds her close after a long minute she says.
"Thank you for working so hard and trust me to get us home. I'm sorry you had to see me be cold to you and I'm glad last night we didn't have to talk about it but I am happy your not afraid of me."
"I could never be afraid of you. Heck I'm surprised you dont want to run from me. You have Henry and I am just a huge ball of anger and frustration sometimes. I cant possibly be good for your new life and being a better person goal." Emma turns in her arms and puts a hand on her cheek.
"Hardly anywhere near how bad I was back in the day i think you would have to be dangerous to Henry and I for me to run from you." In that moment they felt the week they faced was a distant dream and kissed at the reality of how much each other cared.
Giggled screams from henry called their attention and Ingrid and Mal chased and tickled him. Finishing up they joined and found themselves in a blissful moment. They were surrounded by joy and bliss.
The way this day felt pushed them through a very tough week. Between having the dwarves build a very sturdy cell block behind the sheriff's department and have to beg her mom to ask them to Emma was glad to have something to keep her from murdering someone.
She asked her father if he would be willing after so long of her fighting it to spend a little more time together. Oddly enough she could see he was not like Snow. He felt badly about his deeds and sought to mend things and be honest. So when she needed someone to help Anton teach him farming he asked him and Emma spent the day helping. They turned into a wonderful day together. Once Snow did bring it up in Hope's of receiving her own special time alone but Emma turned her down. This resulted in tears and a long conversation.
"Why do you spend everyday with people who aren't your blood but deny me a moment." As she left the office Snow was there to talk once again.
"Because these people have earned it. David has actually said how sorry he is. You I dont think you really are. You are like someone who feels bad because they got caught. You only say sorry to get what you want I don't think you mean it. I am sorry I took your heart and I'm sorry I was mad but I'm not ready to trust someone who doesn't even understand what they do and takes responsibility for the effects its had."
"Okay but I need you. You're my daughter I dont want to see you living and not be allowed to be there. You might as well have never woken up my memories." Emma stared at her feeling for her then.
"You're right but I cant just jump in David an I take it one day at a time and he let's me be when I'm not up to being close I can try but that's all. Dont mess up this chance. It's literally the only one I'm giving." Snow nods repeatedly until Emma half hugs her and tells her they can have lunch on sat. That gave them a few days.
When they did meet it was at granny's and only after a nice Friday night dinner with her real family. If she was going to make nice with her parents she always needed a little bit of something to remember. So as Snow rambled on and on about her having more kids in the future so she can have another grandson like Henry Emma relied upon thoughts of Ingrid telling her she didn't have to be anything more than she already was, didn't need to be with a man to have babies, or even get married not that Emma didn't want at least the latter of the three.
"Listen I'm definitely not going to go looking to have kids I'm happy with Regina. Neal may be in town but I promise there will never be another child between us." Thankfully that was the last she heard on that even though she did endure quite different long winded one sided discussion about Snow and David trying to have another child one day. Bitting her tongue she waited until she went home to vent her frustration. She made no obligation to 'hang' again but she knew she would need to eventually.
"How can she say she wants another child to me just as im giving her a chance to reconnect with me. Especially literally after I said I wasn't looking to force having kids let alone with Neal." Regina took her outside where they let some steam off by sparing. Hand to hand something that Regina was very good at and she wasn't half bad at swordsmanship either but Emma had never trained in that. So a good spar and listening to Emma was all she could offer.
"I certainly hope sperm donor isn't involved in the making of our future babies." All anger aside Emma stops surprised.
"You. Think we can? I mean even adopting would be cool one day."
"Adoption will always be an option I think Henry would love to be a big brother regardless but we have so much to do before that time. Officially protecting the town is already done thanks to Mal and Morgana. As long as everyone is happy in the next few months then we'll definitely be on our way to growing our family." Emma agreed. As she got her drink she suggested a shower to cool off feeling more relief having talked it out.
At the end of the day what her mother said only stung a little. The only thing that took the pain away was her little family. As big as it was now she kept imagining how big one day it can be. A knock at the door is the only thing that takes the comfort of home away.
Seeing that it was Neal made her annoyed but she let him in at Regina agreement. Before he got to far past the door way Emma pressed up to him face to face. In that moment he didn't see the sweet pure Emma he once knew. He saw a Emma that had suffered a life including the bit at his hands.
"If you are here to hurt our boy I'll make you regret it." It was the obvious reason he was here. All week had passed why else would he be there after all the dodging she's done.
"I saw my father today I know he is stuck there but I went to see how he is doing. He told me about Henry. Why didn't you?"
"Because you may have had a hand in his creation but not in any of his raising. He is ours and he deserves to make his own choice if he wants to know you." They lead him to the kitchen table.
"does he?"
"only if you promise to not hurt my moms."
"Henry.."Emma says as she looks to Regina who opens her arms to him. Henry stands at her side arms folded looking just like Regina in that moment.
"I promise your mom might not be the same Emma I remember but I can tell she is happy and im not gonna let her mother or my father play me into getting between your moms. She wants to be part of your family I just want to know you. I love Emma still but im sure she hasn't loved me in a very long time."
"True." She utss in. "What did my mom do?"
"Oh just tried to see if I still liked you. I am sure it was purely an innocent thing."
"Knowing her it was in her head but that's not right. I happily were I am and who I'm with just cuz she wants more grandkids doesn't mean I'd... whatever." Not wanting to get upset again Emma dropped it. They didn't give them long but Regina allowed 20 minutes of alone time before it was dinner and bed time. When Neal left Henry told them he was alright.
At dinner he told them Neal wanted to try picking him up from school and doing something for an hour but only if it was okay with them. It was something Emma had started with and seemed harmless for now.
