Chapter 27 ( I don't Own Inuyasha)

"Why can't I call you grandpa?" Shippo whined with a smirk. "After all, my mama and your daughter basically adopted me." Naraku stood there glaring at the man the fox cub had become with no emotion or none the two could pick up.

"Shippo, I don't think you want to push it," Kagome spoke calmly as she looked between the two.

"I just wanted to call my grandfather, grandpa," Shippo pointed out before Naraku smiled causing the fox to gulp. "I don't like that face."

Kagome turned to give her father a look of confusion. "What are you…" She trailed off unsure she wanted to know what her father was up too.

"Shippo, you could call me grandpa, or whatever you want if you get permission from Sesshomaru to call him father," Naraku waved his hand. There was no way Sesshomaru was going to allow this.

"Alright," Shippo said before running back into the mansion.

"Father," Kagome spoke with a raised brow.

"Yes?"

"You do remember what happened last time you thought Sesshomaru was going to say something in your favor?" He looked as her with a frown and she giggle. "He after all picked out this beautiful dress." She motioned to the dress she wore blinking her huge crimson orbs at him.

"This is different Kagome. There is no way your boyfriend will allow this!" Naraku exclaimed putting his hands up in the air. Her eyes rolled right before Sesshomaru was pulled outside into the garden but the one and only hyper Shippo.

"You have to join us," Shippo told him as they came toward the daughter and father. Kagome giggle before she knelt down to pet Asami on the head. "How are you girl?"

"Bark," Asami answered happily as Sesshomaru came to kneel down beside Kagome to pet Asami as well. Her fur was so soft.

"So Sesshomaru," Shippo called his attention.

"You better pick your next words carefully," Sesshomaru commented as he looked up from Asami.

"I was just wondering…" Shippo let out a nervous chuckle and Naraku smile thinking of his victory. There was no way he could see Sesshomaru agreeing to this. "…If you minded me calling you papa, like how I call Kagome, mama. I mean she did kind have adopted me many years ago and if you and her mate you would be considered my father…"Shippo rushed out as both he and Naraku now awaited the answer.

Sesshomaru was silent as he thought over the words. Kagome looked up to see his eyes where now focused on her own. "Sess," she whispered curiously.

"I guess," Sesshomaru sighed.

"Yay! So grandpa," Shippo turned to blink at Naraku whose jaw dropped.

"You…" His eyes glared over at Sesshomaru. "Why?"

"I think if I'm planning to spend the rest of my life with the girl of my dream, I should have agreed to her adopted son's small demand," then Sesshomaru smirked. "And there was this feeling you wanted me to say no and I couldn't allow that." Naraku groaned as Kagome fell over into Sesshomaru laughing.

"How about Granddad," Shippo commented as Naraku turned to escape the red haired man who only followed after him with a cheerful smile. "Grandpapa sounds a bit better."

"Now that was interesting," Sesshomaru commented watching the two head off into the mansion once more.

"Mmhmm," Kagome hummed in agreement closing her eyes leaning more into Sesshomaru as her head gently brushed the white fur of her little wolf.

"I really am sorry about earlier Kagome," his voice was quiet as he gently wrapped his arm around her. "I just wanted to make everything perfect for you." She looked up at him.

"I forgive you," she told him just as honestly. "But don't think you don't have to worry about making it up to me. I want a really good make up gift and Asami doesn't count as she is my birthday gift."

"Of course," he chuckled before slowly leaning toward her face. Her eyes fluttered close waiting for his lips to come in contact with her own.

"This is where you love birds ran off to," Inuyasha's voice caused them to groaned as they pulled away. Sesshomaru glared at his half-brother as Kagome smiled toward her brother-figure.

"Is there something you needed Inuyasha?"

"Everyone is waiting for the birthday girl to blow out her candles," Inuyasha told them rolling his eyes. "You do know Kikyo worked harder than him to make this special!"

"Sorry Inu," Kagome moved to get up giving Asami one last pet. "Bye Sess, my party awaits," Kagome pulled out of his reach waving as she moved to enter the mansion. Asami hopped up to follow her new owner leaving the two brothers alone.

"You couldn't have come back later could you?" Sesshomaru commented dryly.

"Nope, it is the job of a brother to annoy his other brother," Inuyasha smirked before he ran into the mansion.

"INUYASHA!"

Raindra: Hey everyone, I know it's been a long time since I've worked on this story, sorry about the short chapter. I honestly was thinking of deleting it for a bit but I got a wonderful review when I was finishing one of my assignments for college. Thank You to Ganzademon for the review. I had to reread this story and decided to post a short-chapter before conitinue with working on getting this story completed as well as fix some of the mistakes I've read. Alot of this story was written years ago, so I'm hoping to update the chapters mistakes as soon as I can. I just started break so hopeful I can get another chapter up as well as another chapter edited before I'm head back to College.
