AN: This chapter is slightly going to be a tad pushy regarding what the T-Rating will allow, but I don't think that should be a problem. I mean there's a reason the term "Hormone Addled Teenager" exists, after all.
Digimon Re: Tamers Chapter 20:
Jeri is completely taken off guard, to say the least. At first, she thought she was enjoying the embrace and kiss of Takato at the front of the entrance to the school. Now, another Takato shows up, in complete shock as to Jeri and the other Takato kissing. Jeri is incapable of telling which Takato is which, either. However, she believes she may have a hint as to how to tell the two apart.
"Takato, since when did you wear goggles?" Jeri asks, as both Takato's blink in confusion.
"What do you mean, Jeri?" Takato asks.
"I don't know what's going on, but I assure you, I'm the real Takato!" Takato asks, his head adorned with goggles, looking an awful lot like the goggles now resting on Jeri's own forehead. Jeri, looking at him, shakes her head.
"No, you're not; even the way you kiss isn't any sign you're the real Takato. Besides, you gave me these goggles I have on my head the other day." Jeri begins to state, as Impmon slowly wakes up as his eyes widen as to what he sees.
"When you had dropped me off back at home after you had helped me move some of my stuff over to your house for safekeeping, you had given me your own pair of goggles to try and reassure me that I'm better than what many people think I am." Jeri explains, without a pause in sight, as both Takato's take all of this in.
"Besides, I know you're not a pervert when you kiss me. Suddenly touching me so much and backing me into a corner; that isn't you, no matter how much my body is willing to submit to such actions right now." Jeri points out, to which Impmon moves to sneak up behind the Takato with goggles on his head as the goggle-less Takato moves to stand beside Jeri and keep her safe.
"What makes you think he isn't the impostor you're feeling so safe with?" The goggle head Takato asks, as the other Takato pulls out his Digivice.
"Then allow us to both dial for Guilmon to show up, that'll solve everything." Takato dares, as both Takato's pull out their own Digivice, looking identical to each other's own, as they both immediately dial for Guilmon to show up. Impmon moves to Jeri's side, as he feels the need to stay by her side should danger quickly present itself.
After a solid minute of waiting, Guilmon shows up for the goggle headed Takato, as Impmon and Jeri's expressions both change towards those of hostility, as Takato's eyes widen in shock as the goggle head Takato smirks a bit.
"See? Guilmon came to answer me, his tamer, for real. Now then, Jeri, why don't you back away from the impostor?" Takato demands, as Impmon growls a bit.'
"Imposter? Oh no, I think she's more than safe with a Guilmon-less Takato than she is a faker with a color inverted Guilmon by his side." Impmon points out, as Jeri moves to grab her Digivice, as her eyes widen in shock.
"BlackGuilmon, Rookie Level Reptile Type Digimon bearing the Digital Hazard." Jeri reads off, as Jeri moves to glare at the impostor before her. "Takato wouldn't dare draw into existence an impostor of his own Digimon in such a way; you're just a duplicate stealing Takato's own creation!" Jeri points out, as BlackGuilmon snarls a bit towards Jeri, about to lunge at her out of frustration, as the goggle headed Takato's eyes widen.
"Hey! Knock it off you pest!"
"And I wouldn't dare call Guilmon a pest either, you sick fuck!" Takato states, as his Digivice suddenly begins to glow with a crystalline red ones and zeroes, as his eyes begin to shine a crimson version of the unusual eyes that Ruki had days before. The soul link is activating for Takato; the real Takato, as the actual Guilmon realizes before everyone's own eyes. BlackGuilmon snarls a bit towards Jeri, as Impmon blasts BlackGuilmon with ice and fiery magic to keep him at bay.
"I would normally question what I must've missed, but I feel some other choice of words are more accurate, Takatomon. Ready?" Guilmon asks to his tamer, as Takato nods.
"Ready when you are, my friend!"
"Guilmon, Digivolve to…!" Guilmon speaks out, as he takes the form of a massive saurian with armored spikes and a white mane. "Growlmon!" He calls out, as BlackGuilmon likewise undergoes a Digivolution of his own.
"BlackGuilmon, Dark Digivolve to…! BlackGrowlmon!" BlackGrowlmon calls, as his body is now even more obviously a color inverted version of Growlmon's; his red with black trim is swapped with a black with red trim, albeit the white mane stays intact. However, BlackGrowlmon's attempt to size up Growlmon gets off to an uneven start; BlackGrowlmon is immediately greeted with an uppercut to the jaw from Growlmon, with an electrically charged spike from his arm surging through BlackGrowlmon's body.
As BlackGrowlmon moves to try and get some distance between himself and Growlmon, Growlmon gives chase. Jumping up to a towering building in a single bound, BlackGrowlmon begins to glow with dark energy again.
"BlackGrowlmon, Dark Digivolve to…! BlackWarGrowlmon!" BlackWarGrowlmon grumbles upon jumping off of the building and firing an array of electrical spheres towards the ground where Growlmon stands. Growlmon manages to take the hits with a pained roar echoing with each sphere that strikes him.
As both Growlmon and BlackWarGrowlmon engage each other in a fight, both of their respective Takato partners begin to fight each other. Takato lands a blow on his impostor's eye with a swift, single strike punch to the face, as Takato moves his hand back to find his whole hand bleeding all of a sudden, as though he had punched glass.
Turns out he wasn't far off with that assumption, as he, Jeri, and Impmon stare in shock as the identity of the doppelganger suddenly being shattered before them. The impostor's face suddenly has an entire side of his face shed off and fall apart as though made of glass, exposing gold eyes lacking in light underneath where his normal looking eyes were. Impmon, looking towards Growlmon, realizes BlackWarGrowlmon is briefly paralyzed in response to this.
"Yo Growlmon! Digivolve while you have an opening!" Impmon calls out, as Growlmon nods.
"Growlmon, Digivolve to…! WarGrowlmon!" WarGrowlmon manifests through his prior form's frame, as his body lets loose a powerful shock wave of crystalline red energy of some sort.
A bright, shining array of light of crystalline red energy suddenly glows from Takato and WarGrowlmon, as the power of the soul link now courses through both of them at full force; Takato's eyes shine a radiant crimson in color, as WarGrowlmon glows with the same crimson energy. Realizing there is no other better chance than now, a few choice of words are spoken by WarGrowlmon.
"WarGrowlmon, Mega Digivolve to…!" WarGrowlmon speaks, as Takato disappears into an array of light that proceeds to merge with WarGrowlmon's own array of light for a body reformatting into a new form. BlackWarGrowlmon and the impostor Takato both glare at what is happening, as BlackWarGrowlmon suddenly lunges at his own partner as both of them begin to glow with a massive, violet, surging energy that causes the skies to go dark.
As this chaotic surge is going on between BlackWarGrowlmon and his partner, the energy surrounding WarGrowlmon begins to solidify. A large, powerful lance and shield form on the red and white humanoid's arms, as a long, sharp cable emerges from the back of his head. A large, flowing red cape appears behind him, as stepping on the ground with a powerful force to anchor himself in front of Jeri in a defensive position stands as a Digimon only known truly by one name.
"Gallantmon!" Gallantmon calls in a synchronization of Takato and Guilmon's own voices combined, as he stares at the black storm appearing in the sky where BlackGuilmon and his partner's energies chaotically began to merge together, as they both fly upwards into a vortex that awaits them in the skies above.
"BlackWarGrowlmon, Dark Mega Digivolve to…!"
Upon entry, the vortex lets out an explosive series of thunderbolts to the ground, as descending from the vortex is an unusual entity that Jeri, Impmon, and Gallantmon's eyes all gaze at in disbelief.
What they see is something only at least two of them see, and no more than that. Jeri and Impmon witness before them a doppelganger of Gallantmon's own form, albeit appearing with a dark violet coloration instead of red. However, Gallantmon himself instead sees a gigantic, Megadramon-esque Dramon-Type Digimon with a gargantuan head, arms, and wings, in a fiery red and black coloration.
"What is he supposed to be? He looks kind of like you, Gallantmon!" Jeri exclaims, as Impmon nods.
"He doesn't look that way to me, that faker! He'll pay for playing both of us for fools!" Gallantmon speaks, as he points his shield outwards towards the entity, as the entity immediately summons a portal from behind itself from which to flee into.
"The battle is lost, Red, what do we do knowing we have this world's Takato and Guilmon at Mega Level now?" BlackGuilmon's voice can be heard within the entity's solid form, as it disappears into the darkness behind him.
"We'll have to wait and see, my pet; the solution may very well present itself for us~." With that, the dual entity disappears into the dark void from which manifested behind itself, as Gallantmon winds up sheathing his lance and shield upon the entity and the subsequent dark storm disappearing all at once. Degenerating from Mega Level back down into Takato and Guilmon, Jeri and Impmon look upon the duo in shock.
"So much for Raiga wanting to call that form of yours Dukemon at this rate." Impmon snickers a bit to himself, as Jeri blinks, as she looks rather upset as she looks away from Takato and begins to nearly walk off.
"I'm sorry I allowed him to kiss me and feel me, even without knowing it wasn't..." Jeri begins to say, as Takato moves to, rather boldly, grab her arm and turn her around to face him in the eyes. Jeri blushes, as Takato likewise blushes in return.
"He's gone for the time being, and you couldn't have known any better. None of us could've predicted that somebody would try and impersonate me and Guilmon." Takato says to Jeri, as Guilmon steps forward as well.
"Although that still brings up a major problem; how does NiseTakatomon suddenly have a Guilmon of his own? I thought I was the only one of my kind to exist." Guilmon asks, as Impmon reclines himself back on the pillar, almost as though mimicking Strabimon's default pose whenever they were at the diner with Ruki and Renamon.
"Good question, and I think I know just who to ask..."
"Trust me, demon, you're barking up the wrong tree if you even think this has anything to do with me!" Strabimon speaks, as Takato and Jeri are both off to the side in the diner, enjoying a meal to themselves after what was left behind earlier from Jeri's last visit here. RustTyrannomon and Raijinmon both are here as well, with Cyclonemon seemingly in a state of panic behind the counter as he works with what appear to be rather volatile cooking ingredients.
Strabimon, though, doesn't pay mind to anyone else except Impmon and Guilmon before him. Strabimon, however, was getting rather annoyed with one tiny, very important detail.
"So are you two going to actually speak and ask anything, or what? You literally just walked up to me half expecting me to already know what you're asking." Strabimon demands, a bit honestly at that, as Impmon raises an eye.
"That's usually how you respond to everyone attempting to question you, though. Either way, Guilmon here is what Raiga had recently discovered to be a "man-made" Digimon in a sense. We're hoping you could answer as to how exactly a duplicate of Guilmon in any capacity can even remotely exist in this world." Impmon asks, as Guilmon nods.
"As far as I'm aware, I'm also the only one of my kind to exist naturally, since my kind otherwise doesn't actually exist naturally." Guilmon adds, as Strabimon raises an eye as he glances back to Impmon, then to Guilmon, and then back at both as he groans a bit.
"There's going to be no shaking you two off of my tail until you get the answer you seek, right?" Strabimon asks, as Impmon blinks.
"… Is something wrong? Weren't you all high and mighty last time we waltzed in here?" Impmon asks, as Strabimon nods.
"I was… until Flare and Tempest both came storming back inside pointing their weaponry at me the moment they heard Guilmon broadcasting his own voice to himself en mass. 'Digivolve to' this, "Mega Digivolve to' that, why not simply just SHUT UP and keep those clichés to yourself?!" Strabimon asks, as Guilmon nervously chuckles as he scratches the back of his head. Strabimon merely sighs a bit as he lounges backwards.
"Honestly, though, that's all the confirmation I need to know you speak the truth about Guilmon having a doppelganger, and it's in the form of another cliché I see; a BlackGuilmon, as the copy called himself." Strabimon begins to say. As he talks with Impmon and Guilmon over the matter, though, Takato is having trouble focusing on talking to Jeri.
"So, um, Jeri…? That guy didn't hurt you, did he?" Takato asks, as Jeri shakes her head.
"I mean, well, he did kiss me, tried to grope me, but I didn't have any issue against either until after I learned it wasn't truly you." Jeri states, as Takato's gaze becomes a bit nervous as he tries to register what Jeri is implying. Then again, considering Jeri is still on her period, her choice of wording isn't exactly unusual with what else he's seen from here in this regard.
"So, if you were to ask me to do anything right now to prove I'm actually me, what would you have me do?" Takato asks, as Jeri moves to get up from her seat, from the opposite side of the table from Takato, as she moves to sit in Takato's seat with him. More accurately, sitting herself on Takato's lap. Takato's face turns a beat red completely, as he stutters a bit as to try and speak.
"Don't move." Jeri speaks, bluntly, albeit in a very soft, gentle tone to Takato. Takato forces himself to not move, as he sets his hands to his sides. Jeri, however, grabs both of Takato's hands, as Jeri notices Takato trembling a bit.
"Calm down, let me guide you. I want to know something about you, Takato." Jeri asks, as she moves to place Takato's hands around her own waist, having them wrap around her belly, as Takato tries to remain calm. A task that would be impossible with a cute, hormone crazed girl sitting in his lap, right in the middle of public. Jeri moves a bit to look back at Takato, as she looks into his eyes. Takato can tell from her gaze that Jeri wants to know something important about him.
"How much can I trust you knowing you won't do anything funny without my permission?"
Takato could've sworn he had heard Jeri ask him that, but nobody in the room heard Jeri speak. In fact, the Digimon in the diner seemed practically indifferent towards what Jeri and Takato were doing in their shared seat. Takato merely looks at Jeri alone, giving her a reassuring nod to signal to her he's slowly regaining his focus and control over himself. Jeri is an unorthodox girl, true, but Takato isn't going to fail her test for him so easily, and allow his own hormones to take control of the situation.
'It's funny, that considering all of those magazines I found in my dad's room one day while he was out with mom, that I can't help but feel as though right now, Jeri and I are-'
Takato mentally slaps himself for thinking such a thing; he knew if his hormones got the better of himself now, he would never have the chance to formally ask Jeri out. Still, though, Takato did want to know; is that was perhaps Jeri is wanting him to do right now? He only had personal experience from someone like Kenta and Ryo to talk to regarding either of their own girl troubles. Kenta's advice, as from what he witnessed from Ryo and Ruki, seems to be accurate.
'No girl wants a man who can't actually act the part of being a man.'
"J-Jeri, I am able to ask you something, right now?" Takato finally speaks up, after a lengthy pause between him and Jeri, and everyone else in the diner. He can only vaguely notice that Strabimon, Impmon, and Guilmon had gotten into an argument, but he could practically not even hear them due to how his focus is solely on Jeri right now.
"Yes, Takato?" Jeri asks, innocently, as Takato knows Jeri is anything but innocent at least for right now.
"Jeri Katou, do you want to go out with me?" Takato asks, as Jeri looks over towards him with a bit of intrigue. Her expression is soft, so adorable for Takato to look at. Jeri, moving to turn around in Takato's lap, has Takato's hands move to rest firmly on her rear; Takato even sees Jeri make sure they wind up there, as Jeri moves to speak next.
"Will you kiss me with enough intensity and desire to wipe away what happened earlier today?" Jeri asks, as Takato looks at her slowly, keeping eye contact with her, as he slowly nods. Jeri, closing her eyes, moves to rest herself into Takato's chest, as she moves to allow Takato to kiss her. Takato closes his eyes, as his blush fades a bit, as he finally kisses Jeri full on the lips, all the while everyone in the room could see the two of them doing so. Once the kiss had gone on for long enough, at least, for as long as the two could maintain it until they needed to breathe, Jeri warmly smiles as she looks at Takato.
"Will you be my boyfriend, Takato?" She asks, as Takato looks at her and nods.
"Will you be my girlfriend in return, Jeri?" He asks, as Jeri looks at him and nods.
As both of them move to kiss again, Ruki can be seen outside the door, watching the two teenagers kissing as she adores Jeri and Takato getting together. Ruki, feeling at ease observing the two, moves to leave the diner as to give the two some peace to themselves.
'You two have fun with each other while you have time to do so today. I'll do you the favor of tracking that impostor myself in return.'
