The Next Day: Late afternoon

It was finally time for the last match; this time Konohamaru would be the one to face his chosen master in battle.

Tsunade stepped forward and addressing Konohamaru said in a dead pan voice "while it is blatantly obvious, which master you will chose, I will only say this much. Try not demolishing the surroundings too much, Yamato is getting tired of repairing the damage caused, now then choose your master to battle and show us the Results of Training!"

Konohamaru looked sheepish and simply nodded, before walking up to Naruto and who was wearing his patent smile with an arm thrown around Shikamaru's shoulders as he shared a joke with Chouji and Kiba. "Well Boss, what do you say, let's see how much I have improved, who knows I may even surprise you." Naruto looked at Konohamaru with pride and said "Sure Gaki, I don't mind, it's been a while since I had a good spar. So then Kohei, what are the stakes of the battle."

Konohamaru smiled and said "well here is the first twist of many, I do not set the rules and neither will you, he then turned to Hinata and bowing respectful to her said "Boss lady, the boss man has said on many occasions that he trusts your decisions greatly. So I thought it fitting that you set the rules for this battle between the boss man and me, after all you are the power behind the throne." Konohamaru said with a cheeky grin.

Hinata laughed fondly as her eye twinkled mischievously "you're a cheeky little gaki aren't you Sarutobi Kun, very well my student, as you have asked me to oversee this match, then so be it. However remember you must both follow my rules to the letter any deviation and you will both be disqualified." The two shinobi nodded their heads and looked at her for instructions.

Here are the rules For Naruto Kun: You may not use more than two Shadow clones at any given time that means there can only a total of three of you at any time. The second Restriction is that you may not use Kurama to enhance your powers in any way, shape or form. And the third restriction is that you may only use Honored Sage Mode once during the entire battle.

She then turned to Konohamaru and said "You Sarutobi Kun may have a total of Four Shadow clones in play at any time, which means five including the original. Second is that you are not allowed to use any form of Genjutsu during the match, only Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Bokujutsu will be allowed."

When Konohamaru nodded in understanding, she turned towards the both of them and said "you will both have a total of two hours to complete this match. No Kin jutsu of any kind will be allowed; neither may you come at your opponent with the intent to kill. Lastly a barrier will be constructed of 10 meters large which will only be removed once the time limit is over or one of you gives up."

When both Shinobi nodded their acceptance, Tsunade told her Anbu Guard Phoenix to create a barrier as per Hinata's specifications. Phoenix nodded and once both fighters were in position he created the Barrier around them.

Tsunade walked over to Hinata and said "interesting set of rules you gave them Jonin Hyuuga, I am grateful for the idea of a barrier, if I know the two of them they will find a way to overdo it."

Hinata chuckled and said "exactly Milady, that is why I set the time limit at two hours and I only gave them a simple aim, a straight out sparring match against each other. This is the way for Konohamaru to best showcase his skills."

Suddenly a poof of smoke appeared next to Tsunade and Hinata and sitting aboard the back of a Toad were the Two Great Sage Toads of Mount Myōboku. Tsunade as surprised but greeted them respectfully no less by bowing to them and enquired to their health, after the formalities were done Fuma spoke "Naruto chan told us about the upcoming fight with his student and asked us to weigh in on Konohamaru Chan's abilities, When Naruto's shadow clone that was in toad valley disappeared we knew That it was time, so we decided to come and watch the show."

Within the Barrier

Konohamaru addressed his master and said "I remember that Lee sensei once said that if their bonds are strong enough a master and disciple can communicate their feelings simply by trading blows with each other. I intend to test that principle today. I hereby declare that until the battle is over I will take a vow of silence."

Naruto smiled and nodded his head and said "very well than I shall do so as well,, now let our weapons and Jutsu do the talking." said Naruto as he jumped right into a typical leaf style Taijutsu stance and attacked his disciple head on, however Konohamaru was ready for the attack and countered with his own technique, master and student met each other blow for blow, kick and punch for punch. Leaf style Taijutsu soon dissolved into battle with Kunai and Shuriken.

Interestingly enough the battle seemed to follow a natural flow of progression as the two shinobi, master and student both seemed absolutely absorbed in their battle and had forsaken the world around them.

The battle was made even more intense by the fact that Naruto was intent on testing his protégée on very single Shinobi skill he had mastered over his lifetime; in fact it seemed less like a battle and more like a rite of passage. Interestingly enough both fighters were using Shadow clones to their full extent so as to show off their individual skills with the least amount of physical damage.

When Hiashi mentioned this fact aloud, Kakashi spoke first and said "indeed you are correct Lord Hyuuga; this is a rite of passage. Konohamaru has something to prove to Naruto Kun. In fact their relationship mirrors the relationship Naruto had with his own Master."

Shibi spoke up this time and said "indeed Kakashi san, it is indeed fitting that the man who Naruto called master is now watching this fight as he battles his own protégée."

Kakashi smiled sadly and shook his head and said "no Lord Aburame, I am afraid you are mistaken, I might have been his sensei once upon a time, but Lord Jiraiya the Toad Sage was the master I could never be."

Shizune looked at Tsunade who had her eyes locked on the battle and while she did not acknowledge the fact she had heard the commentary of her Jonin, Shizune knew better than to think otherwise. It seemed that like many of the spectators Tsunade's attention was on the match. Suddenly she spoke and said "Watch closely Shizune, something is about to change, I have a feeling that the battle has now taken on a new twist. Look at their body movements, it has drastically changed."

Ma and Pa toad who had been silent spectators up until now, suddenly spoke from Tsunade's Shoulder and said "Ah so it seems that you were correct Ma, it seems Enma-kun did indeed teach the young lad the final form, that is quite surprising since even Hiruzen chan could not fully master it."

Indeed Tsunade was correct because suddenly the Shadow clones were dispersed by both fighters and Naruto had ascended to Sage mode, symbolized by his eyes the orange pigmentation around his eyes.

In his right hand he held his massive Bisento, with an orange and black striped pole, ending in a spherical pommel, and a large, curved blade attached to the pole with a brass bolster, decorated with a relief of an orange toad, and langets protruding onto the blade itself.

Konohamaru it seemed had also ascended to a new form, and unlike his master, his transformation was more obvious Konohamaru's brown hair lengthened while becoming wilder, reaching down to the middle of his back, while two long pointed bangs of hair appear on both sides of his neck. Additionally he seemed to have lost his shirt while his chest and arms were covered in a dark red fur, this form also seemed to cause Konohamaru a tail, and within his hands he held a very large and thick fighting Bo staff.

Naruto looked at his young student his sage mode eyes full of Interest and said "interesting form Konohamaru, I presume this is the Saiyan Transformation I have heard so much about from King Enma. While the form is no doubt impressive and looks powerful, something tells me it's more than a simple transformation.

Konohamaru laughed and said "your right Boss man, to make a long story short this form is culmination of five years of training and is similar to your Sage mode. Basically just like Natural energy is used to access Sage Mode, The Monkey Clan uses something called S cells. Similar in essence to Natural Energy any Shinobi who has a summoning contract with and frequently fights and trains with the Monkey clan develops a type of Mutation in their Chakra Network that allows these S cells to grow and flourish, and while any Shinobi is theoretically able to manifest this ability.

Those of the Sarutobi clan are more disposed to this mutation due to their long standing association with the Monkey clan. Similar to how those of the Uzumaki clan were predisposed to having an affinity for Fuuinjutsu and their incredible vitality.

Anyway it took quite a while before I was able to handle the transformation. However while it is true I have to Fuse via combined transformation jutsu with Koenma in order to control the S cells. However unlike Sage Mode the risk in Using a Saiyan Transformation is more mental than Physical. While in this form we are more susceptible to our baser Animal instincts and if we use this form for long periods of time. It can cause irreparable damage to our mental state and we are in danger of literally losing our minds that is why I can only use this for a max of 30 mins."

Naruto nodded his head and said "thirty minutes eh? That's a lot of time, and by my calculations we have only fifteen minutes left before the barrier falls and seeing as I have tested your Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu. I think it's time I tested your Bo Jutsu skills. Come my young students brandish your Bo staff and bring it to bear against my Bisento. Let us see who shall emerge victorious: The Monkey or the Toad?" with that said the master and student weapons clashed with such force that it seemed to split the heavens apart.

Fifteen Minutes later:

The barrier had finally come down and it seemed that Konohamaru had finally run out of steam, but much like his sensei refused to give up. Unfortunately his body had other ideas as he promptly collapsed from sheer exhaustion. However like always Naruto was there for his protégée and would not allow him to it the dirt, instead appearing just under him so that his exhausted body fell on his shoulders instead as he carried him towards the waiting medics.

While master student were being treated for their injuries Tsunade dismissed the whole assembly for the day as she was followed by her Council back to the Hokage Tower.
