Chapter 26 Do It Ourselves

Kludd's POV

King Boron called Nes and I back.

"We have discussed your proposal", he revealed. "And we have come to the agreement that it is just too risky to trust you."

"I understand", I stated. "But please tell me that you have another plan then?"

"I'm afraid that we can't tell you that either", King Boron replied. "Now please leave."

Ten Minutes Later

Nes and I were discussing what to do next.

"What do we do now", she asked.

"We need to find out what King Boron's plan is", I stated. "I'll ask Soren to see what he can find out."

Ten Minutes Later

Soren's POV

I was in a meeting with the guardians.

"So what's the plan now", I asked.

"We will send Kludd and Nes back to the Pure Ones", King Boron revealed. "Then we'll send someone to follow them and learn more about the Pure Ones."

"I volunteer myself", I said.

"That is very noble Soren", King Boron stated. "However, you are a father now. Your priorities are here."

One Hour Later

Nes and Kludd were about to leave.

"Be careful okay", I demanded.

"I will", Kludd stated. "Thank you for everything Soren."

"That's what brothers are for", I stated.

With that, Kludd and I hugged.

I then started flying away, but stopped when I overheard Nes and Kludd talking.

"So", the former started. "What do we do now?"

"I guess that we're gonna have to overthrow Nyra on our own."

"Do you think we can do it", Nes asked.

"We have to try", Kludd replied. "It's the least we can do."

"Then let's go."

With that Nes and Kludd flew away...and I stood there in shock.

Nes and Kludd were going to try and overthrow Nyra themselves?

Ten Minutes Later

I flew into my nest and saw Otulissa with our girls.

"There you are", she said before seeing my worried expression. "Hey. What's wrong?"

"It's Kludd and Nes", I revealed. "I overheard them talking. They're going to try and overthrow Nyra by themselves."

"What", Otulissa said in shock. "Are they mad?"

"They must feel like it's their responsibility to do so since they are Pure Ones", I said.

"What are you going to do", Otulissa asked.

"I have to go after them", I replied. "I'll ask my friends to come with me."

"Okay", Otulissa said before putting her head on top of mine. "Please be careful."

"I will", I stated. "I love you."

"I love you too."

"And I love you girls."
