AN* Wow it's been awhile, but I am back with a new chapter. Also happy new year to all of you out there.
Hong Kong
Naruto gritted his teeth as the plane began takeoff, not enjoying the feeling of lifting off the ground in something that he had next to no control over.
"You ok?" Moka asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Not a fan of this." Naruto replied with a grin.
"I thought you could fly, or glide rather." she noted "I remember you doing something similar to that in the Yuki-Onna village."
"I can, but I can control it. This, if something goes wrong..." Naruto grumbled.
"It's perfectly safe." Fangfang grinned "This is my family's private jet." He then went on to explain that it had a barrier around it to hid it from human eyes and radars, and it came with plenty of extra amenities, including a bar, a karaoke machine, and a mini theatre.
"Ok, we get it, you're rich." Naruto chuckled "You can stop showing off."
"Are you kidding! This is great!" Kurumu cheered.
"Leaving Fangfang aside, the Wong family is pretty incredible." Mizore noted.
"We've left the barrier around the school Fangfang. Even if we are up in the air don't let your guard down, we do have a lot of enemies." Lingling said over the intercom, inciting Mizore, Yukari and Kurumu to praise her skills, getting a look of mock hurt from Fangfang.
Naruto smiled as he looked over at Moka who was staring out the window with a smile so small that most wouldn't have caught it. He knew that she was enjoying herself and also knew that she would deny it in front of the group if he asked about it. He wouldn't deny that he was worried about the Outer Moka being stuck in the seal and possibly disappearing but he was also happy that the Inner Moka was enjoying herself, and that there would be a day that the two Moka's would be one and the same person. Standing up he tapped Moka's shoulder and nodded towards the bar getting a shake of the head from the vampire.
Walking to the bar he grabbed a can of soda and stopped when he sensed something off. Turning his gaze over towards the door leading to the cockpit he saw a small creature there trying to eat the door.
"Jubi, what the hell is that?"
"Not sure. Never seen one of those before."
Frowning now Naruto sent his shadow out to grab it and lifted it up off of the ground getting it to let out a squeak in shock as he dragged it back into the main cabin.
"Anyone know what this thing is?" Naruto called out as he had the shadows hold it aloft.
"No. Where did you find it?" Yukari asked in shock as the creature wriggled in the shadows.
"Chewing the door to the cockpit." Naruto replied "I don't know much about planes but I do know that eating them is bad."
"Aw. It looks cute." Kurumu gushed as he grabbed it out fo the shadows and let out a yelp as it began feeling up her breasts with it's head.
"Well it's perverted." Jubi noted with a chuckle.
"Get it off of me!" Kurumu exclaimed as it went under her skirt.
"Son of a..." Naruto grumbled as he sent his shadow out again and yanked the creature back "You might look like a sweet little rabbit but you are just a pervert."
"So what are we going to do with it?" Mizore asked.
"I'm tempted to keep it trapped in the shadows until we reach Hong Kong." Naruto remarked.
"Other then it's lust it doesn't seem too dangerous." Moka noted with a frown.
"What's happening Fangfang? Things are getting noisy out there." Lingling asked.
"Ah you see." Fangfang began explaining the creature that Naruto had found.
"A beast inside of the plane? Are you certain that it isn't an assassin? There are a great number of people that are after our lives."
"Well I said beast but it is really more like a rabbit. As if there would ever be such a cute assassin." Fangfang laughed.
Just as Naruto was about to speak they heard an unfamiliar voice speak up "No, no, what are you talking about? Assassin, assassin, I am an assassin." The six people in the cabin turned to look at the rabbit like creature as it leaped into the air "I was sent to crash the plane!"
"Say what now?" Naruto asked with a frown as his shadow rose up again to grab the creature, as it's formerly cute face distorted and the creature began expanding and changing with more eyes and mouths appearing.
"Nevertheless, your breasts were the best. Now look, my body is aching!" the assassin exclaimed as it continued to grow larger and larger "It's such a shame to kill you, but I was ordered to make sure that you don't reach the Wong Family. Therefore Die! I'm a Gremlin, an assassin from Fairy Tail!"
With that exclamation it split into hundreds of copies of itself that were sent flying around the cabin.
"Dammit!" Naruto shouted as his shadow changed from the smothering capturing form into blades that shot out and began stabbing through the gremlin copies.
"Fairy Tail? So they're after us and not the Wong Family?" Yukari asked.
"Oh dear. Didn't I tell you..." Lingling sighed.
"They're eating the fuselage! They want to drop the plane by eating it!" Yukari added.
"And stabbing them isn't working!" Naruto shouted as he and Mizore had been attacking them and causing them to multiply.
"They're like mud dolls." Mizore nodded her agreement as Moka lashed out as well.
"There should be an original somewhere controlling all of these copies." Yukari stated.
"And how are we going to find it among all of these?" Kurumu shouted.
"Couldn't you just use your shadow to grab all of them?" Fangfang asked.
"Too many." Naruto growled out as he had started grabbing them in the shadow, but it was already straining "We need something clever and fast."
"Don't look at me. This is a newer type of youkai. I know nothing about them." Jubi warned as they slowly backed out towards the cockpit.
"Naruto, Omote had a thought." Moka remarked as she quickly explained that she had noted how the clones weren't paying any real attention to them and how they were all focused on eating, meaning that the original had to be having them run on autopilot while he was on manual and would notice things around him.
"Useful. Now how do we use it to our advantage?" Naruto asked "Especially since they just got outside."
"They are also attacking the cockpit now, there is nothing more that I can do." Lingling added.
"Do you trust me?" she asked quickly.
"With my life." Naruto nodded as the plane started to descend rapidly "Go. I'll start prepping our escape."
Moka smiled a vicious smile as she climbed up a hole and to the top of the plane as Naruto began pulling shadows to him.
"What are you doing?" Mizore asked.
"Getting us a way out." Naruto grinned as the shadows became a large ball that took up almost the entire space in front of him "Whether Moka takes care of the gremlin or not we need a way out. The plane is too damaged now, but if it can last a bit longer we'll be close enough to Hong Kong that I can get us safely down."
"But it won't last if the gremlins keep eating it." Kurumu said.
"Which is why Moka is handling that. I trust them."
"Them?" Fangfang blinked.
Naruto only grinned at that as he finished making the mental shape of what he wanted and waited. It was a heart-wrenching few minutes but it paid off as the gremlins suddenly disappeared and Moka returned, minus her shirt.
"Damn." Jubi whistled.
"Moka-chan, shirt please." Naruto said with a massive blush on his face as he looked away "Hard to concentrate."
Moka cocked an eyebrow at that as she took a spare shirt from Kurumu "Having trouble keeping your mind on things?"
Naruto only muttered under his breath at this as he slammed a fist on the door to the cockpit "Lingling get ready!"
"Ready for what?" she asked.
"This." Naruto growled as the shadows expanded outward in a wave the covered the entire plane in a moment, holding it together as they stabilized and began slowly descending towards the runway.
"That's amazing!" Yukari exclaimed.
"Y-yeah." Naruto grunted as sweat began appearing on his face.
"Naruto-kun?" Mizore asked with concern "What's wrong."
"I'm holding it."
"Wait, you're holding the entire plane together?" Fangfang exclaimed in shock.
"Yes."
The girls traded looks and realized what was happening. Naruto was using the shadows as an extension of his own strength and he was drawing on the Jubi's power as well in order to compensate. The problem was it was putting a strain on his entire body to keep such a large object suspended the way he was. They weren't sure how long he could hold it but knowing the blond he would hold it until his body broke if it kept them all safe. It took a few more minutes to land on the private runway, and once the plane came to a stop Naruto let out a sigh of relief as the shadows returned to their original shapes, and the plane collapsed in a smoldering wreck.
"Naruto-kun." Mizore muttered as she helped him stand up and saw the red aura surrounding him as his body repaired the damage.
"I'll be fine." Naruto chuckled weakly.
"You look terrible." Moka remarked coldly.
"You try holding a moving plane together and see how you feel." Naruto grinned now as they climbed out of the destroyed plane.
"That was incredible though. How did you know it would work?" Fangfang asked.
"I didn't."
"WHAT?!" they all shouted, with the exception of Lingling.
"You mean that you didn't know if that would work when you tried it?!" Yukari exclaimed.
"None. It was a gamble that I had to take." Was all he said as they had their luggage pulled out and taken to the black limo waiting for them. Once they were seated Naruto's eyes shut and he began snoring lightly, getting a small smile from the girls who knew that even despite that he was sleeping very lightly and the Jubi was still active and alert.
"He is incredible." Fangfang grinned "With powers like his the Wong family would become an even greater force."
"He won't join you." Kurumu replied "He likes doing things his way."
"And you know that he can hear everything that you are saying." Yukari chimed in now "He's never really all that deeply asleep."
"Oh." Fangfang blinked as he looked at Naruto who's head had lolled to the side and was resting on Mizore's shoulder "Well I would say the same if he were awake."
"Good to know." Moka snorted as she looked out the window as they drove.
It took over an hour to navigate the city and make their way to the Wong family home, and once they pulled in Naruto was awake and back to full strength as he stepped out and his senses were already taking apart the place.
"Ok, I know you're rich but this is crazy." Naruto remarked, getting a laugh from Fangfang as they walked in.
"We're home! Fangfang Wong has safely returned home!" Fangfang declared as he walked in and Naruto stopped as his senses went off in alarm, though he couldn't quite put it into words right away.
"It's bigger then our school!" Kurumu exclaimed.
"Instead of a mafia base it is more like a royal palace." Mizore noted.
"It is incredible." Yukari agreed.
"Ah, don't be shy and come in!" Fangfang laughed "Think of it as your own home."
"What's with Fangfang?" Mizore noted with a frown "He's spinning around."
"He's so happy, it's making me sick." Yukari smirked.
"It's because you came." Lingling remarked as she stopped next to them "Despite what he looks like, he is the successor to the Wong family. He grew up burdened by his family in a lonely environment where he was feared by everyone. As far as I know this the first time... The first time that Fangfang has brought "friends" to this place."
"That right..." Naruto said quietly, as the girls took the their usual potshots at Fangfang.
"It's alright, the fact that you guys came. It means I am one step closer to my dream." Fangfang said in a wistful tone.
Naruto smirked at this as he stopped cold and stopped channeling his youki, getting looks of confusion from the girls.
"Fangfang, Lingling? Where is everyone?" he asked.
"What do you mean?" Lingling asked with her head tilted to the side.
"I can sense youki within a mile of my position. And either someone is hiding them very well or there is no one here." Naruto stated, getting the girls to all tense.
"It is odd. I made sure to tell them that I was coming." Fangfang agreed.
"Girls." Naruto said firmly as they moved closer to each other and all of them were on high alert.
"They might be out. I will go and call someone." Lingling said as she started to move and stopped as her shadow pulled her back.
"No." Naruto said firmly "We stick together."
"It is likely nothing." Lingling protested.
"We were already blindsided by one assassin. I'm not taking chances." Naruto countered as he made a few clones "Search the place."
With nods they started out and began to search for any living persons within the mansion as the rest of them walked towards the guest rooms.
"Are you sure you aren't being paranoid?" Fangfang asked.
"Spend enough time with Naruto and you learn real quick that his paranoia is usually right." Kurumu chuckled.
"And for all we know this could be another trap." Moka remarked before moving closer to Naruto so only he could hear the next part "Are you recovered enough for a fight?"
"Depends on what it is." he whispered back "Jubi did a good job but it's going to be another few hours til I'm back to a hundred percent."
Moka only nodded as they walked into the room and sat as Fangfang prepared the tea for them. Things were quiet for several minutes before Naruto shot up out of his chair, his youki flaring to life.
"The clones were just attacked."
"How do you know?" Lingling asked in shock.
"They can share knowledge." Yukari explained "He learns anything that they learned when they get destroyed."
Fangfang and Lingling traded looks at this as Kurumu opened the door, or thought she did as she let out a scream at the tongue that she had grabbed. The incredibly long appendage went to a severed head with insect like legs coming out of it that quickly turned and sped off as Naruto sent a lance of fire after it.
"That was a Yuusei Hitou! It's a monster that can remove it's head to scout out locations!" Fangfang exclaimed.
"They know where we are now." Lingling frowned "To think that they would infiltrate the house."
"Run now, answers later." Naruto snapped as his shadow rose up again and rippled through the floor "Go left, I'm counting five coming this way from the right."
The group was soon moving down the hall quickly as Naruto and Fangfang tried to lead them to a safe location only to find more enemies moving to cut off their retreat.
"Should we fight?" Mizore asked as she revealed her true form.
"Not yet." Naruto said as they turned a corner and his shadow rose up in a wall that stopped a giant of a youkai swinging a giant sledgehammer and a machete at them.
"I think we're running out of options." Moka growled as she turned and struck at a youkai coming around the corner, missing the arms that appeared beneath her as a giant mouth opened.
"Moka!" Yukari shouted as she tried to grab Moka before she could be pulled in, only to be dragged in with her.
"Shit!" Naruto shouted "Fangfang!"
"The study! There's an armory in there!" the mafia heir shouted as he started leading towards it.
"What was that Jubi?"
"Some sort of transportation youkai. They're rare but they can connect two places with their bodies and pull beings or objects between them. That these enemies have one is tricky."
"So Moka and Yukari are safe?"
"From that one, yes. But there is no telling where it took them, or when it will strike again."
Shoving open the door Naruto turned to start getting the others in when he saw the youkai strike again, grabbing Mizore and Lingling before the two could react.
"NO!" Fangfang shouted as he tried to grab the two girls only for Naruto's shadow to pull him back.
"We're too late." Naruto snapped, his anger rising as they shut the door and he motioned for Fangfang to open the armory "Kurumu, you okay?"
"Y-yeah..." she nodded "Why is this happening?"
"It is likely the Miu family." Fangfang muttered "They're a Chinese mafia family with a long term rivalry with the Wong family. It seems like they sent these assassins here. The Miu family has recently started collaborating with a certain organization from Japan and have been growing in power. We're almost at the point where an all-out war is going to break out. They probably came here looking for me."
"A certain organization, you mean Fairy Tail?" Naruto asked.
"Yes... It's why I enrolled at Youkai Academy, to try and gather as much information about them as I could. And that was when I found you, Naruto Uzumaki. A god class youkai that opposed them as well." Fangfang finished.
"Even though you have Touhou Fuhai?" Kurumu asked.
"Even though he is extremely powerful, Touhou Fuhai-sama is my great great grandfather, I've never actually seen him fight." Fangfang chuckled weakly.
Naruto raised an eyebrow at that as he examined the armory and then let his shadow extend over the room to give them a brief warning if the transporter appeared again.
"And thus why you were so dead set on recruiting me. You needed someone so powerful that you could force the Miu family to back down?"
"Not quite." Fangfang said as he started to grab weapons "My mother was from the Miu family. In other words my parents were able to overcome the problems between the Miu and Wong families and get married. Kind of like how Romeo and Juliet did."
"Don't interrupt him just yet, but remind him that those two died in the end." Jubi chimed in.
"And the child that they had was like a symbol of peace. My mission was to end the dispute between youkai and bring peace. That was what I was lead to believe since I was small... It seems like such a stupid dream now." Fangfang finished as he looked down the sights of one of the guns, the beginnings of tears in his eyes.
"Stupid?" Naruto asked with a crooked grin as he grabbed a pistol off the wall and handed it to Kurumu who had a determined expression on her face "Never that. Difficult and dangerous to be sure but never stupid. You may not realize it but you want to break the Cycle of Hatred between your families, you want to make things better for everyone and I can respect that." Pausing he grabbed a short knife off the wall and felt it's balance before grinning "You are a good man, and a good friend Fangfang Wong. And if the Miu family wants a fight then we'll give them one."
"Yeah. We'll get our friends back, fix Moka's seal and then see about helping your dream." Kurumu agreed.
"Naruto... Kurumu... Thank you, both of you." Fangfang said quietly as he loaded his weapon and nodded to Naruto to open the door. Stepping out Naruto let a wave of shadows out of that sent two men who had been outside the door flying. With a snarl Naruto had the shadows lift them and send them flying down the hallway as he walked.
"Kurumu, watch my back. Fangfang if anyone tries to do anything from a distance, drop them." Naruto said as they walked "We're getting our friends back one way or another."
As they walked Naruto noted that the various mafia members were in full retreat now and he suspected that they were luring them into a trap. Stepping carefully they walked back into the main foyer where his eyes spotted dozens of youkai at the ready for a fight, a man with scars on his face in a chair with a woman in an elegant chinese style dress standing next to him. Walking boldly into the room he decided to make his point as he lifted his left hand up so they could see it and snapped, causing every shadow in the room to leap up and wrap around the throats of a person there.
"Now that I have your undivided attention." Naruto began, letting his youki spill out in a solid pillar that made Kurumu and Fangfang step back "You are going to give me my friends back, and get out of this house. Or I snap all of your necks and call it a day. Your choice."
"Ah Naruto!" Fangfang exclaimed.
"Willing to kill everyone in a room to save those important to you, I like that." the man in the chair said with a grin "It looks like you've made yourself some fine friends, my son."
"Say what now?" Naruto blinked in shock as the red pillar disappeared and he looked at Fangfang.
"Those are my parents." Fangfang said, still seeming to be shocked by this.
"Wait, what's going on?!" Kurumu exclaimed "Are they our enemies or not?!"
"It means this." One of the subordinates said as they all reached into their jackets and pulled out confetti launchers as a giant ball above Fangfang's parents opened in more confetti with a sign that read "Welcome To The Wong Family".
Naruto stared in shock at this as his control slipped enough for the shadows to drop away to their original forms. Turning to look at Kurumu and Fangfang they looked just as stunned as he was he focused his entire attention back to Fangfang's parents.
"So this whole thing..."
"We actually didn't have time to finish the preparations. So we needed to stall you all" he laughed as he motioned for him to follow them to a large pool area where he found Yukari and Mizore playing with a large beach ball while Moka lounged on a beach chair with a magazine in her hands "We never expected Fangfang to bring home so many friends. Think of it as a game of tag! And as you can see the ones who were caught were treated well, so please forgive such an abrupt welcome!"
Naruto stared at the man for a few moments before offering his hand. As the scarred man shook he felt the bone crushing force of the grip settle on him.
"Of course. I would have hated to have had to level such a beautiful home." Naruto said as his killer intent leaked a bit "But please just distract us with a tour of the city next time."
Of course." he grinned as he gently massaged his bruising hand.
"I'm glad to see that you took the joke better then Mikogami said you would." a voice from behind them said.
"I should have known that you had a part to play in this mean joke." Fangfang complained "Touhou Fuhai-sama."
Glancing over Naruto spotted the short man standing in front of Fangfang's mother. His hair was long, with large pointed ears sticking out through the silvery locks, and dark round glasses over his eyes as he smoked from his pipe. Naruto ran his gaze over the man and felt the familiar tingle of being in the presence of a dangerous man.
"That's him alright." Jubi remarked "He's keeping it suppressed but he is just as strong, if not a little bit stronger then Mikogami."
"Touhou Fuhai." Naruto nodded as he knelt down to offer the man his hand.
"Not going to try and crush my hand like my great grandson's?" the short man asked with a smirk.
"I might need your hands to be in full use soon." Naruto replied with a smirk of his own, getting a short laugh from the aged youkai.
"We can talk about why you're here later. For now let's eat."Touhou Fuhai declared as he walked towards the dining room "I'm starving."
Naruto rolled his eyes at this remark but felt his own stomach grumble in agreement so followed after the Demon Lord, hoping that after dinner he would be able to help Moka.
