It was the night of Jack and Rose's date. Jack had something special planned, and Rose was getting ready upstairs.

"I feel like I'm going to be a nervous wreck the whole time, Jack," said Rose.

"You'll be great. And we'll have a phone, so we can call Emma whenever we need. Don't worry, everything will be fine," Jack said as he kissed the top of Rose's head.

"I know it will," said Rose. "And I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I'm really excited for our date."

Jack gave her a loving kiss. "I'm going to confirm our plans and finalize everything. I'll be back soon."

Jack returned and was getting ready in the guest room, and Rose was finishing getting ready in their bedroom (she wanted to make an entrance). She was dressed and putting on her earrings when suddenly, the doorbell rang. "Jack, can you get that please?" She didn't hear a response, and then the doorbell rang again. Finally, Rose went downstairs and opened the door. It was Jack. "What are you doing?" Rose asked, giggling.

It was Jack, and he smiled and said, "I'm here to pick you up for your date." Jack took her hand and kissed it. He removed his hand from behind her back to reveal a bundle of roses. "These are for you."

Jack looked at Rose, who was wearing a simple yet beautiful blue lace dress, with her hair down over one shoulder. She was absolutely stunning.

"Jack, that's so sweet." Rose took the flowers and set them down in the kitchen and picked up her purse. She took Jack's hand and followed him to the car. He opened the door for her and went around to his side of the car.

Jack sat down in the car and looked at Rose. She was gorgeous. He leaned over and gave her a passionate kiss. "I love you. So much."

"I love you too," said Rose. As Jack drove the car, Rose held his hand. "Don't you think it's a little weird that we still feel like newlyweds? Like we can't get enough of each other?"

Jack smiled at Rose. "No, I think it's extraordinarily special."

Rose kissed Jack's cheek. She wondered where Jack was taking her. They were driving along the beach, and finally, Jack just stopped driving. "Jack, where are we?"

"Just stay here, okay? I'll be back in a minute. And don't turn around." Jack kissed her and left. Rose heard the trunk open and heard some rustling in the trunk. Finally, Jack returned. He led her out of the car and told Rose to close her eyes. She did, and Jack led Rose somewhere, and told her to open her eyes. When she did, she saw the trunk open, set up with pillows, blankets, and snacks.

"Jack, when did you set this up? This is amazing," Rose said, completely in awe of this setup. Rose saw that there was caramel popcorn, chocolate covered strawberries, and sparkling cider.

"While you were getting ready. You like it?" Jack asked.

"I love it," said Rose, and she gave him a kiss. "This is… absolutely unbelievable."

"So what do say we sit, snack, and watch the sunset?" Jack smiled.

"That sounds perfect."

Jack and Rose sat and watched the sunset. They were snacking a bit, and just talking. It was a beautiful summer night, and they were just enjoying each other's company.

Jack was quietly, just looking at Rose. "What?" Rose asked.

"You look beautiful tonight," said Jack. "You opened the door and it brought me back to our wedding, when you appeared at the door and I cried."

"Jack," said Rose, looking down. "You're too wonderful for me."

"That's not true," said Jack, kissing her cheek. "Do you remember when we were first living in New York?"

"I do," Rose smiled. "It feels like a million years ago now."

"It really does. Those were the best and worst of our time together."

"Yeah, I mean, we were so damaged by Titanic, but we were so in love and so happy together."

"I'm more in love with you now than I was then. My love for you has only grown over the years."

"Same here," said Rose. "But I don't think we get to just stop and enjoy each other's company as much anymore. We're so busy. But I don't think that's a bad thing, our relationship has just evolved."

"I agree," said Jack. "I also love our life together so much, and Josie. I love her so much it's crazy."

Rose smiled. "I know you do. She loves you so much too. I think you're probably the favorite parent."

Jack laughed. "I highly doubt that. You're her mother. You gave birth to her. You spend night after night awake with her."

Rose looked uncomfortable for a moment. She was looking down at her hands. "Speaking of giving birth, I thought I was pregnant last week."

Jack looked shocked. "You did?"

"Yeah," said Rose somberly. "I missed a period, and I was sick. I really thought I was pregnant again, so I went to the doctor who just told me I have a virus."

Jack looked at Rose, trying to read her expression. "I'm sorry, Rose. Were you disappointed?"

"A little," said Rose. "I mean, I definitely want more kids. I want Josie to have brothers and sisters. But it was too soon, I think. Josie's only a year old."

"You want more kids?" Jack asked.

"Yes, don't you?"

"Of course I do," said Jack. "And I agree with you. It is soon. But at the same time, if you were pregnant earlier than planned, it wouldn't matter. We would love that baby no matter what."

"I know," said Rose. "And I love you so much for that."

Jack smiled. "Now onto happier conversation. What do you think of this date idea?"

"I love it. It's so creative, so comfy, and the sunset is gorgeous," she said. "The only thing I will say is that I didn't have to dress this formal for this."

"Well, you will need to be dressed like this for phase two," said Jack. He looked at his watch. "In fact, it's time to go."

"Go where?" Rose asked confusedly.

Jack smiled. "To phase two of our date."

"Phase two? There's a phase two?" Rose asked.

"Yes, there is," said Jack. "And brace yourself. Because there may or may not be a phase three."

Rose giggled, and took Jack's hand and stood up out of the trunk.

Jack and Rose had driven for one more minute, and they had arrived at a restaurant. They entered, Jack gave his name to the hostess, and she led them to their table. It was in a private room, which had beautiful ocean views. "Ah, so this is phase two," said Rose.

"Yes it is. And I know you love this restaurant. What I didn't know is that they had this private room, but I like it."

"You're amazing. You're the most amazing. I don't deserve this."

"Yes you do," said Jack. "You deserve everything I have to offer you, and more."

"I love you," said Rose. "So much."

"I love you too," said Jack. He cracked a smile. "How is it that we always end up in these deep conversations and end up trying to convince each other that we're not good enough?"

Rose giggled. "I really don't know."
